This place does not feel like Alberta or from this earth. Walking on Mars would be the closest thing to it.several trails to walk around and explore. There’s a large parking lot, with several gift shops and food options which are all unfortunately closed for the winter. When I visited on a Wednesday, I was the only one there. Amazing view of the drumheller and Hoodoos reformation is so unique. Definitely do not miss out on this if you’re visiting drumheller.the sand is pretty red so be careful with your clothes, also the hill can get icy. Make sure to spend some time there to see the sun move and how the shadows play on these hoodoos rocks.

A totally different eco system to see in Alberta comparing to other places. You can see all around once you get to the top. Hiking up is pretty slippery with the tiny sand.

Definitely worth to visit, it is mesmerizing with color combination of sky and badlands.
Although In pictures it looks bigger.

The metal grate stairs and trail are not small dog approved. We got there and had to turn around as our dog couldn’t walk it as her feet fell through the grates.
