I had a great experience with Marcus. I'll definitely recommend Marcus from house of cars on argyll road to anyone thinking of buying a car.

James was okay.

Only issues are the vehicle is leaking oil and the engine light is on. Gotta check if there is any recalls on this vehicle and get it accessed at Hyundai. Vehicle was definitely involved in an accident.

The vehicle loan interest rate is high 26% interest at 22k. It seems they use pay day loan companies it’s pretty high for a 2017 vehicle. House of cars could of definitely talked it down or looked at alternatives. Negotiated a lower interest rate.

Also it’s not worth trading it in a year or two because it adds up

I would be careful when purchasing a vehicle through house of cars just warning you if you got bad credit or are just starting out you might up with a high interest rate.

I contacted House of Cars last week and William was able to get me driving away with a vehicle I LOVE within a few days. Coming from BC I had only ever dealt with ICBC, so William helped me get every detail of registration and insurance figured out, which was a godsend! My son will need something to drive soon and I'll be coming straight back here so William can get him into something he loves too. Update!

So it has now been four months dealing with this slimy scam of a company.

They are now on their third service manager, that still will not do anything about all these vehicles that were fraudulently "inspected" and passed, sadly he does not have the power to do anything anyways, since the authorization comes from the shady owner Omar.

I brought my vehicle in to get the repairs done that had to basically be forced out of them, was told the parts would definately be there by said date, drop the vehicle off. Three days goes by with no contact from the dealership, so I call the dealership to try and talk to someone for an update. I find out my vehicle has not even been looked at and that no parts have been ordered!

I go to the dealership that night to pick up my vehicle since nothing was being done about the repairs needing to be done, and I find out almost twenty others are having the same issues and the new service manager has to play damage control.

Sadly all the others that are in the same boat as me, will get absolutely no where, since the approval still has to come from Omar.

I informed them that I have now filed a report with Amvic since all I get is the screw around, now they reply with "all communication will be done through Amvic".

I don't know how these guys are still in business with the massive amount of illegal and fraudulent deals they do, but I hope all the others that have been screwed over, file a report with Amvic, the more that report, the more pressure gets put on these slimy guys.

The buying experience was great, Kush was not pushy and helped where he could.

Now the bad. Pick up of the vehicle was delayed since there was a check engine light on the vehicle, which postponed things. After almost a week, I was able to pick up the vehicle and drop off my trade in. Upon driving the vehicle for not even 15 minutes, a major error code came up for the suspension.

After two weeks, my new vehicle was schedule to go in for repairs, these repairs took almost a week and a half to complete, with no loaner vehicle given and what was even more frustrating, my trade in vehicle was in perfect condition and was given a vehicle which needed lots of repairs

Fast forward a week later of having the vehicle back, yet again, another major engine code came up with the exhaust catalytic converter.

With multiple attempts to contact Omar the branch manager, he finally replies and passes me off to Steve (the shop manager).

After informing him of the issues I was having with my new vehicle, he was more than willing to assist me, but needed my vehicle to assess. So instead of sending my vehicle in and possibly sitting for weeks on end and not having a vehicle to drive, I bought a code scanner so I could send the data to Steve so he could make an assessment that way.

Steve agreed that the Catalytic converter needed to be replaced. After having no contact from anyone at the dealership, I started to harass to get answers and was basically led on and on about them looking in to options to fix.

After finding out that the cost of the part was $4200 and can only be bought oem from the manufacturer, I received zero updates on the status of possible repairs and once again had to keep harassing to get answers.

Fast forward to 5 weeks after the major engine code developed, still no answer from them, so I once again tried messaging with zero answers.

Customers be ware, if you buy a vehicle from here, you better pray it has no issues, because they are your best friend till you sign and drive off with the vehicle, but absolutely zero follow through with after care and seems as though any issues are yours to deal with.

If the repairs are fairly cheap and easy to fix, they seem to do them, but once the repair list gets long and expensive, they want to avoid all obligations to provide a safe and reliable vehicle to their customers and you're on the hook!

Just get our new car from House of Cars, from the first step into the show room till first drive home in a new Jeep, James Pyper was to there to help, advice and explain everything. Went in to look at a vehicle they had up online. Salesman was nice and helpful, he told us it had transmission issues and pulled out some other options. Although one he brought out ended up having a smashed side mirror, flat tire, and when I tried to start it it was completely dead. Overall a bad look. He said his manager then wanted to talk with us and she was the horrible part of going here. We mentioned the problems and “of course we’ll fix that” but didn’t even give an actual price and then berated us about looking at private vehicles. She ended the conversation by just standing up and walking away while we just sat there.

Pretty unfortunate because prior to the experience with her - I was considering some of their options, and like I said before, the salesman was excellent.

William was our Sales guy and he was great. Alicia the finance manager was also understanding and great. Service on the other hand wasn't up to par with other dealerships. Vehicle took longer then it should have to get done for us, when we went to pick it up it was still dirty AF. All in all the process of picking the right car and finalizing the deal was smooth. Just a long service and messy service process!

Asking about my car in service guy named David keeps hanging up, also sales guy named kulshaan said I would get a missing part of my vehicle which is the ayc pump its been 5 months havent gotten a reply back, guy said he the other dealership dont have them in stock but called them myself and they have them in stock, overall horrible, i even asked for my warranty refund since they refuse to get my ayc pump, and they didnt even reply

Wife got she was going out of town they told us she had 30days to return it they lied when I am done this place will be closed they will rip you off don't go to this place

The park and sell is a SCAM. They’ll tell you your vehicle needs all kind of work, ask for a print out and see a licensed mechanic. It’s all lies, this Omar that supposedly is the GM is a complete A hole. I’ve made sure to spread the word. Don’t be fooled ppl

Just bought a new used car on financing for the first time. Kulshaan and his coworkers were all super helpful and walked me through all the steps and came up with a payment I could handle. While gassing up he noticed a small glitch on the dash and had the techs look into it and make sure everything was good to go.

Will have to wait on review. Oct. 17. Review still pending. Not looking like it will be a positive one.

Unimpressed with our experience. We gave Layla our budget explicitly and since we’re looking for a cheap first car, she refused to show us the few cars we had seen on the website that we’re listed as available and what we wanted to see. She showed us exclusively vehicles out of our price range, and vehicles about 4x what our budget allowed. We looked at many cars and she had no idea what the price for any of the vehicles when we asked since it was important to our budget. Layla did not showcase any product knowledge and had no idea where the car battery was when we were shown a vehicle that needed a boost. We could not get any answers about any of the vehicles we were shown which was incredibly unhelpful.

Unprofessional, and completely inconsiderate to your customers to try sink our wallets into a vehicle clearly not worth the 15k asking price at 203,000km.
This place has shown they’re looking for a quick buck instead of actually helping their customers.
1/5 stars for customer service from Layla for completely wasting our time.

Very disappointed with the service I have received.
I bought a car through them over a year ago, being guaranteed I was getting an amazing deal, as the previous owner had put all these extra things in, such as $15,000 interior. The car was delivered to me, with a dirty interior and was never given any car facts or copies of any papers I signed.
I just traded this car in for a new one else where, and found out I was lied to about almost everything I was guaranteed.
I have also emailed, called, and in person; tried to receive my warranty money back, and have officially been ghosted. Thanks Dan Anderson and the House of Cars Team! Really appreciate it!

Tries too hard to go for a high-end end vibe; the dealership itself is not aesthetically pleasing at all. Furthermore, their lot is small and selection is brutal.

Was talking to a sales person for over a week about getting a specific car. They told me to come down and see it and after driving 4 hours from out of town to find out they didn't even have the car and all the pictures and specs they sent me were from an advertisement on auto trader wasted 200 dollars in gas and 8 hours round trip driving. I was then told it was my fault for wanting such a specific car. DO NOT deal with them they are swindlers trying to bait and switch you into cars you don't want at rates you cannot afford.

Brutal. Bought a car from them and they said they would do the repairs that were needed. Waited months, they finally call to say the car was ready. When we got there, they hadn’t done any of the repairs and said to take the car home for the weekend and call Monday to schedule the maintenance. Omar is refusing to take any calls and won’t call us back. Would not recommend to anyone.

I once wrote a review of how James and Roland were very knowledgeable but that could not be furthest from the truth. I was asked to write a review as I was sitting in the seat talking with Roland. He basically forced me to do the review in front of him so I don’t give a bad review or forget. Anyways Roland told me about sonnet insurance and took my phone physically from my hands and did the sonnet application himself. He neglected to provide full coverage on the insurance plan basically doing whatever to complete the sale. I was in a single car collision and found out after the fact I didn’t even have full coverage. Which I know you cannot drive off the lot without proper insurance. I feel scammed and taken advantage of. I will be pursuing a law suit and will make sure no one gets hustled from this shady car dealership

Also Roland is the biggest LIAR in the world. He’s super fake and and always sounds like his nose is stuffy. Lol. I wonder why? Put down the white stuff

Don't let them waste your time, super two faced dealer that ghosts people and won't help whatsoever if you have any issues at all.

After discussing with someone in sales, trying to find a good time to come in to test drive and make a deposit, he stopped answering. I still made the time to make the 45 minute drive there on the day we had planned. When I got there the person I was talking to wasn’t in so another sales person helped me out and informed me the deposit was never taken. After we finished the test drive, I was then informed that someone had made a down deposit on it the day before. The same same day I was giving my information to also put down a deposit. It was a total waste of my time and I do not recommend.

Extremely disappointing experience overall. The only good part was the sales guy called Haris who was polite and nice to talk to.

I expressed interest in one of their used Honda CRV which was apparently located at their Calgary location and they were ok to get it to Edmonton where I am based.

They started my application including getting finance approval. The process took them close to 2 weeks and only to my shock and realization that the CRV was already sold to someone else, which means I lost the car that I wanted.

Selling to some other customer was fine but what really impacted me was the extra credit check that they did on my credentials bringing down my credit score. Given the fact that I am new to Canada, had expressed my concerns well in advance of not getting multiple credit checks done and they verbally understood and accepted my concern but only to realize later that they broke my trust.

This has now impacted my credit score and would have long term implications of any finance approvals (car, house etc). Just one learning “beware of verbal commitments by any dealer”
