TERRIBLE BABK, Went to open an account they tell me it takes 1h / 30 mins … to open an account. Allen now states I may need more proof even tho there is a drivers licence, Passport and bill payment in my name. He continues to complain about the 1h / 30 mins it takes to open an account and I should just do it on my phone. I tell him no just do it on your end, he now tell me the bank does a FULL CREDIT check, not half.

Before I book the appointment why wouldn’t they say, we do a credit check and hey it’s 1.5h to see if your even approved to open a savings account.

Never EVER will I put my money into HSBC

THANK YOU for helping me choose a better bank before you actually have my money and give me issues!

Teller made a mistake on my money transfer to China. No apology. Took more than a week for the recall. China's bank only needed for them to revise 1 wrong number to correct the account it's supposed to go to but the declined to do that. Needless to say, I closed my account right then and there. Luckily only had the account there for 2 years. 2 years too long. Cancelled my TFSA with them as well.

Worst customer service. I have deposited checks a lot of time and each time they seem to have a problem with the name. Please hire competitive people

Antisocial and unfriendly staff in general. I suspect the treatment of Asian customers is far more respectful. Better to use the city center branch. I will personally never ever use this branch again.

Worst bank. Brought my grandpa in to help him withdraw and transfer money overseas and the teller kept questioning what he was withdrawing and transferring the money for in an interrogating manner. This bank does not respect privacy. This is not the first time its happened as its also happened to another family member. If this is normal, then its very disappointing in the way the tellers are trained.

Another note, I went in seperately with advisors to ask general financial advice and got questioned in this consedescending tone "why would you want to _". At least explain to me in a professional manner why I shouldn't do something, rather than be condescending. The way you use your words and how you speak to clients matter. Definitely will NOT consider investing any more time or more finances into this bank.

DO NOT recommend dealing with any of their services since this is how they treat their clients.

This branch contradicts itself everyday. Tellers supervisors Ingrid tell me one thing and telephone banking tells you complete opposite. Ingrid gave us a long conversation about credit card and how we must have it with internet banking stating this was a secret. All incorrect and for once telephone banking correct. Was going to invest a large amount of money
once again but I cannot chance it. So many phone numbers for customer service but it takes hours for them to respond to calls. Tellers are nice but
really work at a snail's pace.

This location says it's open 24 hours but only the atm portion. Wasted half an hour to go to the bank for nothing.

Worst branch ever.
Racist and confused staff with horrible attitude.
Stop using HSBC account because of their attitude.
