Great deals but a bit pricey. Overall you can see heaps of good quality items. Just make sure you time it during sale or find clearance items.

Big store but closing. Lots of so called reduced prices but you need to use your own judgment to really get good prices.

Best store for cloth and accessories. Furniture and furnishing are top class. During discount season one grab value deals

Tried to buy a pair of Levi’s with my mother. Cashier was facing the other direction socializing with a lady (not purchasing. Just chatting) asked if the cashier was busy so I could make a purchase. Was told by the lady socializing that I was rude to interrupt their conversation, called me an alcoholic, and verbally harassed me. I told the lady that the bay is not a place to socialize but a place to purchase, and that I just wanted to buy a pair of jeans and leave. Manager came over, told me to lower my voice and called security on me. All for just wanting to buy a pair of jeans. Did nothing to the lady lounging on the chair in the shoe department. Left without buying my jeans.

On Dec 7/21, my mom and I had gone to the bay to finish our Christmas shopping. When we got to the till the lady said that if we wanted our employees discount we would have to have our neo credit card which was never sent to us. Since May of this year. For over an hour and a half this lady did everything in her power to help us get everything straighten out. Which she did. She had all the patients in the world. Even with people coming up to the till, she very politely asked them if they would mind going to the cosmetic counter to be helped. Every store should have an employee like Tara Jelcic. Her normal position is in ladies wearbut, she was doing christmas that day. I can't thank her enough for all the help and patients from her. I hope you have a very merry Christmas Tara and hope customers treat you well like you treat them.

Worst store that in only good at professional hypocritical applogizing. They don't respect customers at all. Rude service, terrible shipping partner Intelcom.it has been almost 3 weeks and my order hasn't even been shipped. Phoned customer serive 5-6 times with zero help, putting customer s on hold for 1.5 hours and then disconnecting.

Well organized, fresh merchandise that is replenished often. Ongoing discounts and sales plus amazing pricing in general.

I was in the store today to pick up some items that I had ordered online and just had the best experience thanks to Sheena! One item had been back ordered and she went above and beyond to help me figure out a plan (because it was part of a set of dishes and I really wanted the complete set)
She took an experience that may have been mediocre or unfortunate and made it an exceptional one by chatting with her supervisor and then offering to call the online ordering department so I could chat with them directly and figure out a plan. Sheena, you completely elevated my experience today, The bay in Chinook mall is lucky to have such an attentive and customer focused person working there! Thanks again!

Staff was pleasant but not enough to cover the number of customers waiting for service, especially as it's so close to Black Friday and the holidays. Expect a long wait.

Trying to understand how you can run a shoe department with no staff. The shoe I wanted was on sale, and the best price of about 4 stores. Saw only one sales person and 5 people waiting for him at the cashier, so I left after 6 minutes of no movement. The other shoe stores in Chinook each had several people to greet and help within a minute, despite it being black Friday weekend. No answer on their phones either Would like this store to do well, but seems to be under poor management or something.

Always an experience to shop. Buy your fragrances here, they offer great customer service. Ps dont forget to ask for sample of fragrances and other freebies.

Just went to test some fragrances but kept getting side eyed by snobby sales associates who certainly seemed to think I was there to steal something.

It has been a long time since I've been to the bay, it felt modern and the product is well placed and easy to locate. Large inventory of stylish design and moderately priced.

The lady who helped me find wedding jewelry was fantastic and the bonus was the perfume lady helping us after. Great work ladies

Julian exemplified truly exceptional customer service and leadership, he took the time to educate me in detail regarding the scents and brand I was interested in and did everything he could to ensure I would be happy with my purchase. I highly recommend seeing him if you have any questions regarding cosmetics and fragrances.

Some of the deals are good. Some of the clothing is great. But as is always the case with department stores there is never enough help around to justify some of the inconveniences. But you know.the deals!

I walked around HBC for at least 14 minutes carrying sheets that I wanted to buy and couldn't find a single cash open. Also, unless they work in the makeup section it is really difficult to tell who works there, so almost impossible to know who to ask for assistance.

Stood in coach department for at leat 5 minutes and no one showed up. Service went downhill at the bay.
Selling items that are over $400 but displays look like at value village, just complete mess

It's a beautiful store and the people working there are always super friendly. It was very quiet when we were in here last week and we were able to get knowledgeable help to purchase what we needed. I've always liked the Bay but some things here can be very expensive unless you have one of their discounts which they routinely have.

Too bad prices didn't just cost the lower price all the time but that's not just an issue here that's an issue everywhere.

Somewhat limited selection of suits, not a lot of people working there but it is the pandemic so, ok.

Clearly a company in the decline. There was minimal staff working (and they seemed over worked too). Such a big store with so many brands available, but noone to ask for help

Out of all the MAC locations I’ve been to, I’ve never had such a pleasurable experience as I did today. A young woman by the name of Sarah helped me today and she was nothing short of AMAZING! Thank you Sarah <3

Hudson's Bay is so much better than any other similar store, I don't usually go to physical stores but I've always had a pleasant experience here. I love shopping at the Bay

In today's market it's hard to stay competitive. The bay has an amazing selection at fair prices. I still feel the Canadian history about this place, and have always had good experiences within. A great "everything" store for sure!

Was made to feel that I was wasting the Estee Lauder associates time and there was no other customers. Customer service at 2 locations is something to be desired. Don't have issues at other makeup counters

Like this location because they have Topshop and All Saints. This store probably has the largest housewares section as well. The shoe department carries different brands too. Wish they would keep it organized though.

In my eyes this is the best Bay location in Calgary. They carry everything and many things other locations don't carry at all. I have never had an unpleasant experience from this location in particular. Love visiting this location and have some wonderful memories through the years from here

Chinook.is anyone else a little tired about looking for sales help in The Bay? No wonder people are shopping online. No driving. No parking problems. Home delivery. Lovely.

Large selection of items, many different brands and typically have all sizes. They have pretty good deals on occasion as well.

30 years and this Bay never disappoints, great product selection and helpful staff will help you find a bargain if you need one.

I'm not sure if staff at the Beauty counters are knowledgeable in the evenings. It seems as if they have only a skeleton crew working and somewhat unsure of certain brands.

I have always loved the bay, not the cheapest but always a fair quality. Why I truly love the bay and more specific this location is how big the mens section is. Its always laughable how small the mens sections can be in these type of stores! Well not this one.

It was unnecessarily overpriced, I was looking for shorts and it said $190 and 75%off and it said the final price was $180, and this was with 4 other items

Best Hudsons Bay in the city of Calgary. Tons of varieties and products! Strang shirts like seen below for $299 but great sales! Still though I miss Sears.

I really want to like the Bay. The staff are friendly and nice, the store is clean and well lit. They are Canadian. They have a good selection of most items. Problem is I can never find anything that I like. On the odd occasion I do find something i do like its usually way too expensive. I can quite often drive down to Winners or Marshalls and find that same item for way less.

Sometimes they have a decent sale and you can get that item at a good price.but the sales are few and far between.

Very slow not enough. Sales help took over a half an hour for a simple return customer in front was bartering with sales associate which does not help

When I went to try stuff on in the change room, the lady decided to take a personal call rather than greet me and offer to get me a room.
