Hughes Car Wash

Loves these care washes except for the fact that they have the soap turned up so high it makes a mess and extends the period of time taken to rinse your vehicle!

This carwash has to around for a long time. It has been updated with tap to pay options and the overall experience and outcomes are much better. The vacuum cleaners work well, the foamy brushes are in good condition and the washing wands provide fast switching between soap and rinse cycles. It is clean and bright and well looked after. This facility is now one of the better carwashes in the area.

Pretty good, kinda expensive however, it is almost cheaper/same price to get a automated car wash. I really liked the payment method however as you can pay with a debit or credit card in the stalls so you don't need any change. Would recommend if your in the area and have a dirty vehicle.

I have been going to Hughes washes for about 10 years and things have gradually changed. Shorter times per token and water isn't as hot (in the summer) as it used to be. Soap consistency has not been great in my last few visits.

Besides that, its a car wash. Insert token and spray. Recommend not to used their brushes on paint as it'll likely lead to paint swirls regardless of how clean you think it is.

Best Car Wash in SP. Uses Warm Water, Rinse Wash is not soapy, and the machine doesn’t eat tokens. Plus, it will run with only one token.

I had *one* Hughes token in my car’s coin dish, so I thought I would give my car a rinse while running errands in Sherwood Park. I typically use the Hughes’ in Edmonton, and was shocked to find that I would need “2 tokens to start” this location. No other Hughes does this. So I figured I would use my credit card for a $2 rinse, since I was already there. I tried tapping my card twice and it didn’t work either time. Either they don’t actually accept $2 as a minimum, or the machine was faulty. I did not have time to fight with the machine or go inside. I did not rinse my car here and will not return to do so.

This is my source for filling my barbecue propane tank. Fast friendly service. I just park beside the propane tower, and these folks magically appear. Always friendly and chatty. Cost is what it is and these folks are charging right where they should. They also have gasoline pumps and a car / truck wash. And their office has a nice choice of snacks.

Has a seperate area for trucks/RVs and a sizeable Bay for regular cars, workers are nice and everything works as expected.

Been going here my whole life and that won't change! Takes me about 5 dollars to wash

Been going here forever, then went to a different carwash and realized how low the pressure is at this huges. And expensive.

But I do like the coin thing.

What people fail to still realize is that we’re almost a year into this PANDEMIC. Don’t get upset when someone filling your propane tank asks for space because we’re told to social distance and people barely give room to put the tank down. They usually hover over the person filling the tank. Don’t get mad when we’re trying to do our part and you’re not.

The lady filling the propane was so unprofessional she freaked out saying I need space really rude. If she doesn't wanna work and deal with people she shouldn't be working customers

The vacuums could have a little more suction, but besides that, I like Hughes. I've been going there for years and I've never had an issue with rude customer service or anything. The garbage are always emptied, there are usually bays open, and yeah, it's all good.

Worst hughes in Edmonton and area. Very bad customer service. If you want someone to be rude to you, here's your place! Very unprofessional lady. Go be sassy and mean on your own time, not company time.

Not an option friendly place when you don't want to use their brush on the paint of your car.

Stopped in for a quick car wash and was extremely pleased with the pressure, options available as part of an overall vehicle cleaning. Best of all, the value of wash time for the dollar is exceptional. Clean and well maintained bays.

This is the worst car wash I’ve been to. No water pressure. After 15 minutes of washing a small car it was still dirty. Waste of money and time do not go here.

Some bays had timing issues months ago. + wasn't happy with the big truck bays (hence 1* off). Small bay was OK. Polite staff. Cleaned the vehicle pretty good. OK water pressure.

Forgot I don't like Hughes and made the mistake of going there again. 2 tokens to start and it gives you a small amount of time. I tried to pay for tokens with a $100 dollar bill and they have no float so the only way to pay for it was debit/credit. Also didn't help the woman working there had attitude right from the start and kept interrupting the conversation I was having with the male employee. I will admit I was annoyed and through that he maintained his good customer service. Anyway, won't be back.

I find the pressure not that great. And you don’t get a lot of time. When switching between functions your just wasting time

Great place to wash vehicles, large bays with high doors for large trucks. Diesel & propane also available as well as gasoline

This place used to be good, lately, 2 visit in last month, there is literally no water pressure to clean your car, I did not time them, but one token feels like it’s 35-40 second long. It’s definitely less than a minute. With such a low pressure you have to spend at least $3 to spray off the car after soap brush application. I have a small car, I wonder how much it cost to wash a pick up truck. Not gonna go there again unless it gets better.

I never seen a car wash gated, you take the ticket and he start calculating the time by the time you enter the car wash, guys listen to me carefully this place they charge so much money, do not go there I spent $11.90 for less than five minutes, Which is I normally spend five dollars maximum in any other car wash for the same work that I’ve done

Leaves a lot to be desired.
The pressure in wands is abysmal. I spent $20 washing dirt off of half my vehicle. I asked an employee if they could increase pressure on the wand (to an actual pressure washer level) and was told they would find out and be back. However, I suggest Hughes from a search party for this helpful employee.
There is a reason the tokens are non refundable- I would have got my money back as soon as I first triggered the wash.
