BEST Mexican in Edmonton. Such an interesting location (it’s in more of an industrial area) but a MUST GO TO! You will NOT be disappointed!

New favourite restaurant! Went here for date night and was very pleased with the delicious food and cool vibe of the place. I got enchiladas which were amazing and the perfect portion. Tasted like authentic Mexican food and not like the overpriced tapas vibe most other Mexican restaurants in Edmonton are like. Our server was super friendly and knowledgeable to the menu. Already can’t wait to come again:)

Not the best food, waitresses were not communicating so we got one drink but not the others, then we got a beer that we already had. Don't hink I will come back.

We got take out and typically when you get take out home you know it will not taste as good as in the restaurant however this was not the case. All of the items we got held up in the take out form so we'll I am really looking forward to enjoying the food in the restaurant next time.

Food is really authentic. I enjoyed the tacos. The place was packed and had great ambiance, but it was still possible to carry on a conversation. Food was timely, portion size was good.

Have come to this excellent place 7 times. The spicy pancita is one of the greatest menu items in Edmonton history. But the last three times I’ve ordered it I’ve been told by the same male server that it’s not available. Today my table pushed a bit because it seemed fishy to not be available for the third time in a row. Then he “checked” and it was magically available and minutes later two orders were also served to two people nearby. Something is not right here. I’m never patronizing this restaurant again.

Tried the beef brisket tacos, white fish tacos, the tostada and the flan. The beef tacos are a little too dry and need some sauce to go with it, maybe adding beef broth like birria would be better. The fish tacos were tasty. The flan was the best item, super soft and love that they drown it in caramel sauce. Overall, good Mexican restaurant that I would recommend trying and consider revisiting easily!

Food was very disappointing. Bland, cold, and was swimming in a watered down sauce.
Very sad we had dinner here. I would not recommend.

Brought my family here and we have one very picky eater. She declared the fajitas the best ever. Every thing else was excellent. Beat Mexican food we have had in the city

Not sure if they take reservations but we lucked out to get a table for 6.
This is a busy place, it has a fun atmosphere, servers are attentive and friendly, food was spectacular.

Amazing place with awesome food. I had the Alambre and it was so good. The waitress was amazing and very helpful. We will definitely be back when we are in the city.

Service was good. Wait staff knowledgeable and made a couple of good recommendations as we were ordering. Lots of food. Was really unimpressed with the overcooked partially dehydrated frozen veggies in my rice though.

Visited here on Tuesday for my birthday. Was pretty busy at around 6: 00 but we only had to wait about 15 minutes to be seated. Service was friendly and fast and food was great. My partner and did 2 full orders (4 types of tacos) and split it to try a small variety of the menu. The ceviche was fresh and flavourful and the margaritas were a nice balance of sour and sweet.

10/10 recommend

Flavours were nice but there mole and Verdes sauces were as thin as water over blended the beans very like the consistency of salsa.

Love this place. Been there many times over the last few years, never disappoints, staff is friendly and food is good In a clean place, what more can you ask for!

Tasty and authentic Mexican restaurant with a good variety of dishes. Would highly recommend tacos here. Only got to try the pastor and the suadero and did not regret it one bit. The tortilla chips here are also great for an appetizer

Driving by and saw this place, it is the most amazing Mexican food ever. I would say the mango margarita is amazing as well as the food. Will definitely be back! Thank you for the amazing food, atmosphere and service!

This is by far the best Mexican restaurant I've been to in Edmonton. I only wish there was another location in north Edmonton as it is far afield from us. Lovely decor, food was great and we didn't have to wait long at all for our order.
I'm giving 4 stars as opposed to 5 as my taco had plenty of beef but I would have liked more veggies.

Stopped here for takeout. I called ahead of time to order for pick-up and our order unfortunately had errors once I got home. We decided to eat what we had and it was very good. We had a pulled pork borrito and fish tacos with a side of queso fundido. In addition, we had the chocolate mousse for dessert which was very sweet. The restaurant was very busy and parking is difficult. We will return to try dine-in next time.

One of the best restaurants in the city, love the quantity of food they give you, especially for the price! This is our go to Mexican spot, you can’t beat it.

So far I've only tried the tacos, we got the Brisket, cochinita Pibil, Fish tacos and Chicken Tinga. The chicken Tinga wasn't the best and probably wouldn't get that again however the remaining 3 were absolutely great, the chipotle sauce they give with the fish tacos was amazing and it even went well with the Brisket. Didn't give 5 stars because the Brisket was was a bit dry and we weren't able to get the full dine in experience, I also plan on going back to try the enchiladas.

Overall I would recommend Huma, friendly service, and good food.

Any time I’be visited, I’ve been more than satisfied. Amazing, full flavoured experiences in each bite. Usually when I take a bite, I’ll sit back, look at the food and contemplate how amazing it is and thank God for this great restaurant.

Need a little more zing / spice to the food for my liking. But overall good. Sometimes the filling for the tacos can be small at some restaurants, but not here.

Authetic mexican food, so delicous! House made salsa and cheese, lovely vibrant decor and friendly staff. Always leave with a full belly and a smile:)

If you like your food made from scratch and fresh Huma is the place to be.

They recently add a new dessert called mostachon and it is the most comforting thing I have ever eaten. It's pure bliss, once you've tried it you'll start eating dessert first:)

I'm vegetarian and gluten free. Today was my second time eating here. While I love that there are options for someone who is gluten free and vegetarian, the vegetarian dishes could really use some finesse. I understand that maybe chickpeas were chosen because they are different than the typical black beans, however there is a reason that black beans are the stand by. Chickpeas are quite dry and they fall all over the place if they don't have a good sauce to hold them in place. Last time I had the tacos. They were very dry and messy (chickpeas falling all over the place) and honestly the flavour was underwhelming. Luckily, I tried huma again today and the enchiladas I had were much better due to the sauce on them. Really gave some life to the dry and flavorless chickpeas. Even if the chickpeas were slightly mashed with some broth or there were some peppers thrown in for flavor.vegetarian food can be delicious!

I do appreciate the effort to cater to a variety of dietary needs. However, I definitely still think the vegetarian recipes need quite a bit of tweaking.

Will not be back. We ordered enchiladas and they served beef tacos with a water sauce. It was the worst enchilada I've seen. Also very expensive. How in the world do these people think that this is an enchilada.

Was worst burrito me and my wife ever had. The red burrito sauce is watery with 0 flavour. The rice is uncle bens minute made rice. And the mixed veggies is from the frozen grocery isle. We felt disgusted after only eating half of it we felt compelled to because we spent $40 on our trash meals.

This is one of the most unprofessional and disrespectful staff that I have ever experienced in a restaurant. Not only do they treat their customers with disdain and resentment, they make their customers wait hours (no exaggeration or hyperbole) for drinks and food, and that is after being lied to by the staff about how long you have to wait in line outside for your reservation.

After poor quality food, and waiting the equivalent of 2 hours for food service, and getting orders wrong, and charging for things we didn't order, the staff and managers had the audacity to ask for a 20% gratuity already applied to the final invoice. We had cash for our bill of over $400 and they refused to accept the cash payment with a roughly 10% tip because the service was abysmal and food quality was inferior. After refusing to accept our cash payment with a more than generous 10% tip, they demanded a credit card so they could apply the 20% tip they hadn't earned or deserved. We refused and gave them the $400 we owed and included a 10% gratuity and left. The staff and managers came out after us and threatened to call the police for theft, which is absurd because a tip gratuity is not legally mandatory and not theft when not paying it. Tip is earned and when service is warranted a tip of 15-20% is worth considering. The hostility of their actions and the audacity of their demands were outrageous, and simply because there is an autogratuity added to a bill, does not mean a customer has to pay that amount. Legally, a customer only needs to pay the invoice for food provided, and the tip gratuity is a customer's personal choice, not bound by law or enforceable through draconian threats of arrest.

Avoid this establishment, there are far better places for truly authentic Mexican cuisine in Edmonton.

Is the only best place in Edmonton that offers real mexican food.
Portion are perfect, prices are excellent, place is clean and nice and the best it is the taste. I mean the sauces are real taste, the meet, tacos, uffff! I'm very impressed and believe me I am not easy to impress.
Meals looking good and exactly as if you would be in Mexico!

I don't see what there is to like about this place, but they're still in business! We clearly told waitress no pork in our food. But when they serve the food pork in it. Restaurant manager big fat lady talking with her friend too loud right next to our table. She don’t care about customer. Food was greasy, and we all had upset stomachs after the meal!
Not recommend to anyone. Unless you wanna waste your good time.

Just had a fabulous lunch from Huma. Wow wow wow! Ticks all the boxes.flavour.fresh ingredients.reasonable price.great service. I will be back and probably next week for that matter. Awesome!

Just ordered take away from this place absolutely delicious authentic Mexican Cuisine, the Pastel Azteca was so flavourful. A great price for a nice generous portion! Thank you, the lady helping me at the front was very friendly and helpful in choosing a menu item as well. 10 out of 10! P. S.the washroom was very well maintained!
