I wouldn’t recommend this clinic to anyone. I’ve never came here for a scheduled appointment and not waited for over 2 hours. Today I came in as a walk in patient for a simple Dtap vaccine at 10: 00 am, it’s now 3: 13pm and I’m still in the waiting room with no idea if I’ll even be scene today.

Based off the other reviews I’d say something needs to change.

Updating my review after a year, again no improvement i asked the girl to keep my appointment and when i call to ask what time is the appointment i find out the girl did not book me my appointment its been 3-4 weeks i have been trying to get an appointment with doctor gill which seems almost impossible. Cant get a prescription a referall this is so important for my health and is needed as soon as possible but looks like the doctor nor the people that work here really care for their patients.

I’ve never once had an apportionment on time in almost 5 years and not once the front desk people have let you know how far behind they really are, they just say oh your up next until the next person goes in and it’s not you

Doctor Doherty is amazing! Never had an issue with the doctor. However I had to go there physically to book an appointment due to me not being able to get in touch with them. The lady at the desk was lovely but when I called to confirm the booking, the lady on the phone was rude.

1 Year later…same issue. Calling 3 times before being answered and put on hold. Just to be told my Doctor won’t be available till over a month later. Unfortunately will be giving up on this clinic.

I don’t mind driving a long way to get to this clinic all because of Dr. MERCY but not the front staffs who always ignored the phone calls. Dr. MERCY is amazing, she’s the best family physician in the clinic. Efficient and patient and very knowledgeable, willing to take time to explain the situation with me. Thank you Dr. MERCY!

It is unfortunate for me to give this low rating as our family doctor i.e. Dr SS is super excellent, commited, detail and really taking her time to check/diagnose. However, this clinic (particularly administration staff, receptionists or nurses) really need to improve their walk-in patients experience. I was told to come early in the morning to bring my daughter for walk-in. We came early. We ended waiting for for more than 3 hours before seeing the doctor. My 5-year old daughter did not have breakfast due to stomach ache and ended up really hungry. No estimated time provided to us. Waiting room was boring. Receptionists/nurses did not give any comfort nor assurance to us on the waiting time. Suggest the admin/receiptionist/nurses manage the timing or customer experience better. Instead of letting the patient wait endlessly, perhaps have them on a standby call (with 30 min or 1 hr advance notice) so that they can do other chores and not wasting their time waiting.
I also had another experience before when I waited for more than 2 hrs to see the doctor despite having an advance appointment.

Dr. S is fabulous! And her nurse is great!
Very busy and the front desk is doing their very best.

I’ve been here as a walk in and now a patient of Dr Mercy’s. I find the front staff always friendly, I always get through over the phone and they are open Saturdays which is very helpful. I really like this clinic.

I've been seeing Dr. Mercy Akinsipe for over a year now and she has changed my life. If you are a woman and want to be taken seriously by medical professionals I can not recommend her enough. She actually listens and cares about her patients. I never feel rushed or dismissed and in general I have never had a bad experience at this clinic. The front end staff are always so nice to me and I'm in the clinic pretty frequently. Sometimes I do have to wait a little past time for my appointment but I can understand how a clinic can get busy and behind schedule. It's never an exorbitant amount of time to wait either. Plan for the extra time just in case and have some empathy for the staff. Overall, I am very grateful for Dr. Mercy and her team for taking such good care of me as a patient.

I’ve gone here as a true walk in clinic a couple of times. Yes there’s a wait at times but it’s a wait at time but the care I’ve gotten each time has been great.

I have no issues with the doctors themselves, however this clinic is poorly run. Long wait times when you have an appointment booked and near impossible to get a hold of. I’ve had a specialist attempt to reach my doctor for weeks to urgently prescribe me new medication with no luck. I would recommend looking elsewhere for a family physician as I will now be doing.

I went I’d walk-in-clinic still available around 6pm on December 12, and this two Filipino staff was giggling to me Cus I didn’t notice the note on front desk saying no walk-in-clinic.not nice staff.

Waited 3+ hours to see a doctor as a walk-in patient.would have taken the same amount of time to check myself into the hospital

Worst place ever 2 days in a row refused medical treatment as a walk in well in pain and explaining that to the front desk. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. Shouldn’t be aloud to have (walk in clinic) in its title. Go some place else. Place by Safeway glenbrook is no better then here. I’d leave zero stars if I could

Don’t agree with a lot of the comments here, and have always found the staff kind and accommodating. Phones are a bit of a challenge, but if you call a couple times in a row they almost always answer. Dr. Mercy has been absolutely amazing, and I’m so thankful I found her.

Almost impossible to get a hold of anyone at the reception. Nothing negative to say about the medical staff, but the inability to answer phones, schedule appointments etc.is quite frankly bewildering. In the two years that I have been visiting the clinic, my phone calls have been answered less than 20% of the time, and not once has a message that I've left ever been returned or addressed in any fashion.

I've been seeing Dr. Mercy for nearly 2 years now. She is incredible!
I've seen a couple of the other doctors and they've been just as good.
As it is such as busy clinic, it can be hard to get through. When I can't get through by phone, I request an appointment by email.

Once in the office I do find the staff friendly. Just poorly managed on the phones.

Finally found a doctor i really like, but booking an appointment is almost impossible. I left a voicemail a week and a half ago, no one ever got back to me. Have been calling everyday since then with no answer.

It is impossible to get a hold of anyone here. No one ever answers the phone. Voicemails have never been returned. The online booking system also results in nothing. I don't understand. Why is it so hard. I just want to see a doctor.

While searching for a family doctor, I experienced nothing but challenges with this clinic. This is a difficult clinic to reach by phone - and if you do, the response is less than professional or personable and the information is questionable. If you choose to email, there is no response. This concerns me about the quality of care patients are receiving. In many medical matters, time (both giving and receiving of information) is of the utmost importance. This does not appear to be a priority for this clinic. Disappointing and concerning. AHS should investigate.

Horrible clinic. For those who are saying that they never answer the phone. I just tried a little experiment. I called 6 times in a row- one right after the other. Every time it went to voicemail I hung up and called back straight away. On the 6th ring, someone finally picked up and asked to put me on hold. It seems you have to 'annoy' them in order for your concerns to be taken seriously.
Also, had a horrible experience with a doctor (who was not my family doctor as she was away for an emergency) a few weeks ago. Unprofessional and did not seem to care about my needs/concerns.

Super disappointed with this clinic. It's near impossible to get through on the phone to book and appointment.
At my most recent appointment I had to wait over an hour and a half past my appointment time. They didn't have the courtesy at check in to inform people that the doctor was so far behind.
I like my doctor but hate my experiences at this place.
Recommend elsewhere.

The doctor is amazing, but the worst front desk/ receptionist. Unprofessional. Asked for a baby diaper and they didn’t even bother looking for one.

Truly so disappointed. They have their hours open on Sunday until 5. I walked in at 4 and there was a doctor on the clock and no patients anywhere in the waiting area. Reception was in the back - or maybe it was a nurse? I asked to be seen for a sore throat and they told me that the doctor was not accepting walk in patients for the day anymore. He told me to see the doctor tomorrow. Then why do you have a walk in clinic, with open hours, listed online. Obviously, I would go tomorrow if I could. The amount of stress and sadness I felt, is the worst. Thanks for nothing.

Worst front office and services. Frontdesk ladies are the rudest people I ever talked here in Canada. About dr Doherty I cannot tell anything in the last 3-4 years, thank God we're healthy people, because he seems to be so busy you cannot book an appointment when you need it (I needed 2 in the last years). Me and my family will just look for another family doctor.

Don't go for a walk in! Over an hour wait for a simple ear flush and every person I talked to questioned me on how I knew there was wax in my ears. I have had several ear flushes in my life and this was the first that really hurt me and they used cold water which is wrong! Not a good experience at all!

Today I have a really bad experience, I I have an appoinment with doctor Mercy Akinsipe and I arrive on time and after make me wait for 45 min because the doctor hear me talking to the front desk telling her I was leaving she decide to came out of a room, she was not even with a patient and she did not even give me an apology. Make me lose work time and my classes. I did sent them an email and also submitt a complaint to Alberta Health Services and I dont have any desire to continue with any of their services.

Dr. Joseph Doherty is by far the best Doctor he is very professional and knowledgeable. He treat people like a family member with respect and genuine love an care for his patients. My family and I have been a patients of Dr. Joseph Doherty for 10 years now.
The staff is very friendly too.
I highly recommend Humana Medical Clinic.

No one is answering the phone I’ve been calling for 3 days since I’m out of my prescription and it was sent to the wrong pharmacy.

Dr Dorothy is a good doctor but I had bad experience in timing I had booked an appointment with Dr Dorothy before one month when I went in my time I had to wait for one hour even after one hour he was with another patient so I had to leave the place. Terible experience in timing

I have had Dr Gill for my doctor for three years. She has provided me with excellent professional care and medical advice. I have also found the front staff very polite and accommodating. I recommend this clinic.

I have been going to Humana on and off for a few years. Dr Doherty is an amazing doctor, very knowledgeable and friendly. However, the front desk staff seems to change frequently, they are not always friendly and look overwhelmed most of the time. And my booked appointment is never on time, I usually wait an hour to see the doctor. I have seen some of the other doctors as well, they are pretty good. Just a shame that the front staff lacks the enthusiasm that the medical staff has!

Super unprofessional. I have sent 5 inquiries, and 1 voicemail over the last 3 weeks to this clinic about the doctors who are accepting new patients! Not a single response. Its pretty pathetic.it litterly takes a few minutes to respond to an email.

Dr. Doherti is truly a wonderful doctor, more should be like him. He is supportive and non judgmental and provide excellent efficient care. I and my family always look forward to discusses all medical indiscretions (something I have never felt comfortable to do with others) with great comfort that I will be heard and that there is always a work in progress solution. The staff is friendly and very professional is always pleasant. I am grateful that Humana medical Clinic is close. I'm sure all of her patients are better for having his care.

Been coming here for 15 years. They have never met appointment time once, usually waiting over an hour. I only come here because Dr Doherty is awesome.

Never answers the phone when trying to book an appointment. Been going here for years and can really see the quality of service declining really fast.

What a great clinic. My Doctor moved to this clinic. The staff has been nothing more that professional and caring to my husband and I. I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes.

Never a issue, considering some times I'm moderately cranky with not feeling well, My family doctor and staff allways treat me with a high level of care.

Today I learned my family doctor has left the practice.

I don't really like my family doctor here. I asked him about my conditions and he didn't know and refused to look it up. I asked for a referral and after 5 months no appointment was booked. I asked him about it and he said they're probably busy. He never followed up. No appointment was ever made.

Years later I saw another doctor at this clinic and she got me scheduled within a week for the same service. I'm happy with her work but my own doctor there is beyond frustrating and has no bedside manner.

I waited for 1hr. Really bad. And it's truè all the comments that the receptionist not friendly.
One more thing, no one will sanitized the chairs.

Excellent, professional clinic. Dr. Gill has been a wonderful doctor for me and my extended family. Truly listens to you. Current with latest research and treatments. I have a tricky auto-immune problem and she helped me see specialists I needed. My elderly mother has had many delicate health concerns and Dr. Gill has supported her throughout. We have recently moved from Calgary and will miss the clinic and Dr. Gill greatly.

Very short wait time! Despite being a first visit and having to fill out forms, it was less than 15 minutes to talk to the doctor. Fast and professional!

The receptionist at the front desk is always very rude and impolite, she is very impatient and can make you feel bad for asking questions. She never triee to help, only makes everything more complicated. Every single time I talk by phone or at the clinic I receive from her awful service. I continue going to this clinic because has wonderful doctors and nurses but this receptionist at the front desk is always the worse service I ever experienced.

I have been a patient of Dr Alawiye for 3 1/2 years. Best Doctor I’ve ever had! I moved my Elderly Mom here 18 months ago. She sees Doctor Alawiye as well. Best thing that has happened with my Moms Health has been the Addition of Farrah! She has been the most Patient, Professional, compassionate health care practitioners ever. 100 % improvement in my moms health since her assistance. She absolutely been a valued addition to my Moms Health care plan! Don’t know why more Doctors don’t have a person like Farrah too assist!

Dr. Gil is, hands down, the best GP I have ever had. She’s been my practitioner for 5 years. I even moved and tried out a new clinic closer to me only to switch back to Dr. Gil’s care. Her bedside manner is unparalleled and she always makes sure to take the time to ensure you’re listened to.

Dingey atmosphere, too congested, and one receptionist was somewhat rude. Also waited 45 min.

Doctor himself is friendly, courteous, and professional—but incompetent.

90 minute wait for walk in didn’t even get in. Receptionist seems highly disorganized and confused! Do not plan to come here if for walk in. My dr here is great but there appears to be no back up if they are out and if in need of a walk in

Worst Medical office assistant ever! Shes so rude and doesn’t know how to make her patients feel welcome weather in the clinic or phone! I won’t ever gonna come here anymore!

It's been 2 years that I am going to this clinic. Never had any issue, front desk welcoming, nurses do a great job, and doctors really professional. My familly doctor is dr Gill and she is awesome.

I have been a patient of Dr. Gill for over two years. Dr. Gill is an excellent physician who truly cares about her patients.

The problem I have with the clinic is the fact that the receptionist/front desk staff are the rudest people I've ever encountered! They are incredibly unprofessional and lack the empathy required for those employed in the medical field.

Dr Doherty is one of the best family doctors. The waiting time is sometimes up to 60 minutes however when you get to see him you are guaranteed a thorough assessment. I will not leave the practice as long as he is my doctor. Today I saw Dr Galic because Dr Doherty is off indefinitely. I know I'd be finding another family doctor soon if Dr Doherty doesn't return.

Worse clinic ever! I think doctor Gill is a amazing wonderful doctor, but because of the ignorant front desk staff I have decided to switch doctors. They have a sign on front desk saying " ignorance will not be tolerated" should they not practice what they preach.

I have been going to this clinic for 5 years and Dr. Dorthy is Amazing.but the front desk is worst, they are not professional. I had to go see specialist for something and my results came in and no one from the clinic called me and I called after 2 weeks and the front desk told me that it was not her job to call and let me know. The worst front desk in the city of Calgary.

Dr. Gill is absolutely amazing! I looked for 8 years for a good doctor in Calgary until I finally found Dr. Charmaine Gill. She makes you feel comfortable and ensures she has answered all your questions. In the past I felt like the doctors do not even look at you, just write you a prescription and send you on your way. This type of treatment really upsets me, I do not want just a prescription. I want to be checked out, explained what is going on, have my questions answered. Dr. Gill definitely takes her time to ensure you leave feeling taken care of.

Dr. Gill does not make me feel like a stranger. She even asks my boyfriend how I am doing when he has an appointment, remembering him, me and whats going on. I have been going to Humana Medical for 4 years now and would never switch. I see some of the poor reviews, but I do not know what they are talking about. Everyone is friendly and professional. I never have to wait long, or it is very rare. They are even open for walk-ins on Saturdays if you cannot get an appointment and need in right away. I highly recommend Dr. Gill & the Humana Medical Clinic. Five Stars!

I have been going to this clinic for over 8 years and always recommended it to friends and coworkers. Doctors are really good however, lately the front desk is one of the worst experiences you will ever have. Completely non professional, rude, lack of tact, no manners or empathy at all. It's very disappointing to see how that clinic is going down due to one of the poorest patient services, lately, I have ever seen. They not even care about how critical the condition is or what the doctors said, is their way or the highway, sometimes they not even let you finish talking when they shut you or hang up the phone. I have even witnessed hanging up on other patients while I'm waiting there to see my doctor. Not only my family but other friends have experienced this as well. We are now considering looking for a different clinic where we are not treated like we are an inconvenience plus we dont need to put up with such rude attitude on top of what we can be already dealing with health wise. It's not fair for the doctors to lose patients because of a few poorly trained personnel in the front, but at the same time it tells you how little, if at all, they supervise them or even care about the reviews patients leave. I hope this changes in the near future; as I said before, the doctors are really really good.

Dr Gil is an amazing dr. We've been seeing her since she moved in Calgary.
Nurses are all awesome, very friendly and always happy to assist.
Downfall? The ladies in the front desk. Poor customer service. I asked for help, I was given a strange look and a "WHY? , WHAT? " questions.
I recommended the doctors to my friends and families I know but warned them of the rough treatment they might get from the front desk ladies. Especially if they are Asians.

Oh well I hope your management reads this and speak to you about good customer service.

You may want to stand up and stretch your muscles to release stress. Just saying. Sitting down the whole time may not be the best for you.

Horrible place. I asked to see a doctor and they told me, I couldn't unless it was my family doctor then hung up on me!

Of course doctors in this cilinic are good but it dose not matter what time u call to make an app, it is always busy.and if u complain to receptionist at front desk they give an attetiude.i donot know is there any manager around or not.right now im trying.for a week still no luck how busy they can be

Doctors aren’t ‘awful’, they do what’s needed for basic healthcare needs like a flu or cold but I wouldn’t suggest them for serious conditions. Since switching my family doctor to this clinic I have had nothing but problems. The receptionists and front desk employees are rude and do not help you what so ever. It takes forever to get through to someone when you call, always stating they are always busy. They never go out of their way to get what you need, never act compassionate or understanding, and half the time give you attitude when you have explained that your needs have not been met. When you make appointments you still end up waiting an hour. Every prescription refill I have asked the pharmacy to send in has always been a struggle with the clinic taking weeks to have them refilled and when you call Humana they give no response as to why it hasn’t been completed and then it conveniently is refilled the next day.another thing would be the clinic itself, its usually dirty and is in need of a serious Reno with new furniture that isn’t falling apart. I’d highly recommend if you are able, to go to another clinic, I know I will be.
