Hyatt Place Edmonton-West

If you value your money and time, I would highly recommend other places. After taking a shower, I went to the bed, only to realize that the bed sheet had poop stain on it. The only reason I paid more for a night compared to a $50/night roadside motel is to stay in a relatively clean room and I do not expect every bed sheet to be a brand new product but having poop stain is even worse than staying at a cheap motel. When I reported this incident, the staff came in and just replaced the bed sheet and did not offer to switch the room. In the morning when I mentioned about this incident, the front staff was completely unaware of what happened so this was definitely not reported to the management and was just swept under the rug. For the same amount of money, I would recommending going to the Marriot Hotel right next to this one unless you want to sleep on a poop stained bed and waste your money.

Nice and affordable hotel. The breakfast could use some improvement on hot items but still enough food to get you a decent meal. Lots of parking. The room itself is large!

Best Hotel for a 2 day meeting, my family enjoyed being here. We had a good night sleep everything was good, even especially when the make breakfast it’s the bomb

Excellent location u herdme. Only a few mins drive to WEM. Amazing fast food restaurants nearby and liquor stores, dollar store etc.kingsway liquor store was very cheap.i hated the one way streets in this area made it kind of confusing to drive around. Breakfast ended at 930am however one day the waffles ran out at 9: 10 am and was replaced with there hard as a rock pancakes. The rest of the breakfast was good especially the bacon and sausage it was tasty. Room was spacious however we had the 2 queen beds and unfortunately these rooms come with a bathtub and not a standup shower. I like standup showers much better. The washroom sink faucet was too close to the counter which causes the counter to get kind of flooded - bad design. Pool and hot tub were grrreeat like Tony the Tiger would say.

Love the fact that rooms come with a pullout sofa. Excellent breakfast - better than many other 3 star hotels out there.

Generally a nice hotel. However could have scored better by having the breakfast open to a later time.
Note that if you’re relaxing and not in any hurry during the week you’ll likely find the breakfast closed up at 9.30am or before!
Like me and several others.
Take note Hyatt - there is no free breakfast if it’s not available!
Personally in 40 years of Travelling I have NEVER come across a 9.30 breakfast closure until this experience.

My family and I stayed the night of June 23,2023, and really enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, the hotel was clean and new, ans breakfast was delicious. The location was safe and convenient. Our kids and I enjoyed the pool in the morning, too.

Nice clean rooms, great staff, they help with extras in the room: fan or more pillows. The free breakfast is fantastic! Good stay, highly recommended

We had two nights stay and the rooms were comfortable and spacious. The pool area got busy at night. I was able to use the gym once but for a quick workout. The breakfast selection was ok and fresh. I liked the lounge area with the tea/coffee station. The staff was very friendly!

Great place. I stay in a lot of hotels. I can recommend this one without reservation.

Not a bad place/price for a Hyatt place. Keep in mind they don’t really do room service unless requested and they seem to be only doing express room service. If you don’t drive then surrounding area has nothing much going for it though you can get to the Mall by bus or 30 minute walk.

Breakfast is typical and not that special. My pet peeve is you have to grab your complimentary water bottles if you have status

In summary, not that nice of a place even if you are Globalist.

Good experience. Spacious room, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. I am definitely coming back with my family next time.

Stayed here for ~3 weeks in April and May, definitely recommend.

The location is convenient, less than 10 min drive to West Edmonton Mall, walking distance to the nearby Walmart.

The rooms are nice and clean, standard Hyatt Place rooms and relatively new. There is also a small gym and pool onsite.

All the staff (front desk, housekeeping, maintenance and etc) are super nice and helpful. I do appreciate all their help and service.

The only complaint is the network, it's enough for everyday use and remote work, but not very fast (~15 Mbps IIRC). Need to re-authorize each device every 24 hours, which is a hassle if you stay long and have multiple devices. The ethernet doesn't provide a faster speed.

The experience that I had at the Hyatt Place hot it was amazing and even if I didn’t stay there and it had such a welcoming feeling!

This hotel is close to West Edmonton Mall and other stores like Walmart. McDonald's and Tim Hortons are also close. Gas stations are in the area and access to highway is there. Rooms were clean and spacious. Breakfast was amazing! They had great varieties to choose from and a decent seating area. It was well stocked and good hot and cold options. My only complaint is the pool and hot tub. Pool and pool surround were dirty and extremely cold. They ran out of towels and it was not refilled. Hot tub was very hot and small. The gym is right beside the pool and had a few pieces of equipment but it was good for a quick workout.

We’re here on a family vacation for a couple nights. The common areas are nice and clean and the front desk is super helpful and nice. Our disappointments come from the room first and foremost. We’re here with 3 teens and it seems like we’ve been put in the middle of a bunch of families with very young kids on the third floor. The room we have is an adjoining room and they put us next to a brand new baby who cried for hours straight last night. It sounded like the baby was practically in our room, probably due to the door being in the middle of us. I just feel like those things can be scheduled a bit better when checking in. We almost asked to switch rooms this morning but that’s packing up four suitcases and all our snacks and stuff so we didn’t bother. BTW, the hotel is certainly not full. Secondly, there is no way these are queen beds. The room advertises 2 queen beds and a pullout couch which seemed perfect for a family of 5 but the beds are so small that my husband and I and our 2 teens daughters aren’t comfortable. Pretty certain these are double beds. The breakfast is, again, just ok. The hot food items are nice but this morning the scrambled eggs were burnt. Everything was subpar. I guess you can’t complain much when it’s free. I think this hotel is probably great for young families. It’s just not somewhere we’d stay again.

It's a Hyatt. They're all exactly the same. Good, reliable, and clean but missing finer details, so it's not quite excellent.
