Hyatt Regency Calgary

Absolutely amazing place.
I came to attend a two day conference and the whole set up was great. Coffee and refreshment all day. The food was great.
I stayed on the 16th floor with access to the private lounge.
The room was clean and spacious.
The walk-in shower had a rainfall and side shower head - it will surely wash every crack of yours.
The staff was friendly.
Underground heated parking was available. It's a little tight, but that is to be expected to be right downtown.
Would definitely recommend it!

Always a top notch experience at this property, valet and front desk were extra helpful and so friendly. Close to shops, food, event facilities and a true Hyatt experience.

We had a wonderful stay at Hyatt Regency Calgary Downtown. The location was very convenient and walkable to Chinatown. The double bed room is spacious with all the basic amenities, including a Keurig machine. The bed was very comfortable with clean and new linens. The bathroom is stocked with high end toiletries and filtered and UV purified drinking water to avoid plastic bottle! Love that idea. Our friend is a Globalist, so we have access to the Hyatt Regency Lounge to enjoy breakfast (7-10am), hors d'oeuvre (5-7pm), desserts (7-9pm) and 24/7 coffees, teas and juices on the 18th floor. The food was great!

The front desk and staffs are all friendly and courteous. I'll definitely stay here again in the future.

The people at the reception are excellent, especially Mr. Mohamed Mahfouz, who has a pleasant face and responds to us with respect and appreciation.and let us not forget those in the café and restaurant.

I stay at the Hyatt every time I come to Calgary (business and casual). The location, services, and room size are well worth the price. Just stayed here this past weekend and always feel welcomed, I will be coming back!

I went there for a fundraiser brunch and it was awesome!
The service was excellent and the food was exceptional. The fundraiser was done beautifully and it was worth the money spent.

Stayed for a conference. The rooms seem updated in some ways, and the service and location are wonderful. The views from the room were fantastic (pictured), and I really enjoyed the little Cafe downstairs for breakfast/coffee. Every employee I interacted with was great.

Now for the rooms, I was a bit disappointed with the level of cleanliness/neatness. The bed sheets were not tucked in (pictured), and the duvet was a bit yellowed. The sheets were also obviously not ironed/steamed, and were quite wrinkled. The remote control was really gross, like they hadn't wiped it down after someone touched it with food on their hands or something (pictured). Overall, there were a lot of small nooks and crannies that had obviously not been cleaned well, but for the cost of this hotel, that is the level of attention to detail that I would expect.

I was not grossed out enough to say I wouldn't stay here again, but I would expect more in the future for the price of the hotel.

I should note that the bedroom furniture does look nice and modern, and the bathroom was actually very clean compared to the bedroom. I also loved the water bottle faucet in the bathroom (pictured)!

Ok hotel. My rate as a member of the Hyatt chain was higher than a non-member rate. I had to tell them to adjust the rate, which they did, but still was charged a non-member rate.

We selected Hyatt Regency Calgary as it's wonderful club lounge, and lucky they upgraded our room at the same floor. Find comfortable retreat in our guest rooms renowned to be the largest in the city, pool with breathtaking views, a Stillwater Spa sanctuary and a restaurant that offers the authentic flavors of Canadian cuisine. The hotel’s coveted location right at the heart of downtown puts guests within easy reach of the best things to do in Calgary. Stroll outside to find the Calgary Tower, Olympic Plaza, New Central Library, museums and shops along the historic Stephen Avenue Walk and riverfront parks. Or, take a short drive to the Canadian Rockies for a True North adventure.

This hotel is very well located, near to restaurants and the famous Calgary tower, very friendly and helpful staff.

Just had our wedding here and it was fantastic! Our guests were blown away by the food, prompt service, and beauty of the Thompson Social Hub. Our stay at the hotel was phenomenal with their upgraded rooms. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. Thank you so much!

Horrible and traumatizing experience!

I checked in with my wife at the counter around 11 pm as we were attending a wedding the next day at the hotel.

The night shift manager at the counter was very rude when we checked in.

I was given keys to my room, I took the elevator and opened the door to the room to find out that it is an occupied room and people were already sleeping in.

The guests woke up and it was really an awkward situation.

I went back downstairs and flipped on the staff and was freaking out. All the staff said was they're sorry and it is their mistake and they will refund me.

I asked for a refund and left to another hotel.
I contacted the managers next day and sent multiple emails, 5 days after, no response what so ever and no refund yet.

Most of the friends and family staying there on the weekend had some kind of problem:
late check in, bad service and dirty rooms.

Stay away from this hotel as there are way nicer and cleaner ones in Calgary!

I was invited to a birthday celebration for brunch at the Hyatt hotel. The food was good and selections were very well presented. Service was good, associates were friendly. I will recommend this place.

Rooms are nice and modern and staff is very professional. Lots of restaurants within walking distance including foot traffic only Stephenson Ave.

Lost count the # of times I've stayed here, and it still impresses, w/its large, lux suites, impressive bathrooms w/outstanding glass-enclosed combo rain-fall shower head and body jet, excellent use of space and wood storage units, massively comfy signature bed, location right dt Calgary within walking distance to the Tower, shopping, food, C-Train around corner, and the price.pick the right dates and it's one of the more affordable upscale hotels in the province, and WOH remains arguably the best-value hotel points program in the biz! If you can, upgrade for Regency Club for comp breakfast, hors'doeuvres, etc

Horrible service. Not only was our room not ready 1.5 hours after checking time. They acted as if we were asking for something special to get into our room on time. Downgraded our booked room to a lower class. Had better service at a Ramada.

Most staff very friendly and helpful. Room was great with exception of view of wall outside window. Location perfect for touring Calgary Tower and lots of shops and restaurants nearby within easy walking distance. Would highly recommend.

Hotel said WiFi was fixed and there were no more complaints? Lies. It’s still slow as hell and I can’t get anything done. Better off using your cellular data instead. It’s nice to have a Jacuzzi but the jets just move the water around and have no bubbles. Best part was when the hotel staff member came inside yelling that the pool was closed and loudly clapping his hands like we were children.

We had a wonderful stay.

This is a very clean hotel with welcoming staff, a nice (if small) gym and pool, as well as a very comfortable club level. It's walking distance to the river and Chinatown, restaurants and markets, and two gorgeous public libraries. It's also connected to the TELUS Convention Center.

The trip to/from the airport was very straightforward. We would certainly stay here again.
