Hys Centre Medical Clinic (walk-in Clinic)

Incompetent receptionist. I dropped my dr letter to fill out and Fax to my insurance on Thursday Jan 11,2024. Can you imagine it takes them 5 days to fax my paper after calling and walking. I don’t know for whom to complain. Poor management. I don’t recommend this clinic for anyone. Very shameful and disrespectful people.

I booked a follow up appointment, they prioritized the walk-in patients. Took 1 hour and my phone died

I would give it even less than a star, they are so unprofessional. I was there on time, even 15 mins early and they made me to wait for 1 hour in waiting area and then made me to wait for another 1.5 hour in the room, where doctor wasn’t ready to show and was taking walkin patients over appointments, might be doctor’s relatives or family members as they were under high priority. If anyone knows how to file complaint against doctor and hys centre let me know, thanks

Went this location to see a doctor for my sore throat. Waited one hour at the receptionist and then 30 minutes in doctors room. Finally doctor came to the room and started watching a video without addressing me. Gave me a X-ray to do but when I went to insight imaging, they told me nothing mentioned about what kind of X-ray they wanted to do. Finally I had to contact the Hys centre for the corrected requisition. However, kind of wasted my time.

0 stars, half the time they will book appointments/ take walk in at time of opening but the doctors won’t show up till at least an hour later. Don’t even bother booking an appointment any time of day because they will still make you wait up to 2.5 hours. The phones are always having problems and they don’t answer most of the time and expect you to text for an appointment. The reception is a revolving door and no one sticks around for long. This place is the worst.

Dr AL Jahash has been my doctor for the past 11 years. He has always been amazing. I recently moved provinces and made a trip back to Edmonton to see my doctor. I booked my apt 5 weeks in advance. Drove 2 hours after traveling across provinces to attend to my scheduled appointment only to find a written sign on the door saying they are closed. No one contacted me to cancel my appointment (I provided updated contact info as my number changed after my move). I called the office today to inquire about why they were closed with no notice and I was told that because they didn't have many appointments they decided the office would close for holiday time. A wasted trip to Edmonton and wasted hours driving downtown and back to leduc with no compensation whatsoever for my time, flights, or gas. I will never return or recommend this office to anyone as they are just all over the place

Don't take your kids here! I took my 14 year old daughter in because she had cut her hand and needed it to be cleaned and glass pulled out and stitches. When the doctor started rubbing it (not gently at all) to clean it and my daughter flinched (as any child would) he impatiently told us that he wouldn't work on her because she flinched and to go to emergency or medicenter instead. What a joke.

Arrived at 5: 15 for a 5: 30 appointment, receptionist wanted to know why we were there at 6: 20 when the waiting room was empty. Literally every walkin was seen first. This is the norm every time. Only the most junior and incompetent doctors and staff end up at this clinic. Go literally anywhere else.

We use this clinic for our baby, Diana welcomed us and she was amazing to deal with very caring and helpful receptionist and Dr. Ibrahim is such a good doctor I would highly recommend this clinic to any and all looking for a great medical support team to help with any medical concerns.

Such positive friendly staff even when it's busy. I have been there a number of times now and never have I had a negative experience. Dr. McNally is a most wonderful Dr and human being. All the staff really impress me every time.

I never leave reviews anywhere but I feel like this clinic was so unprofessional.
I came in for my 1: 10pm appointment right at 1: 10pm and was told to go sit down, after waiting over 30 minutes to be sent to a room to wait for an hour, finally the doctor came in and said he didn’t know why his front desk staff asked me to come in because everything was fine. There was no one in the waiting room so me having to wait over an hour for results that I didn’t even need to come in for, didn’t make sense. He was asked why we weren’t informed that he was running behind and he said his staff did not tell him I was in a room waiting for simple results, he then said he checked the waiting room at 1: 10pm and saw no one in there but as I mentioned earlier me and my sister were at the front desk speaking with the rude receptionist at exactly 1: 10pm, he then switched up his story and said he checked the waiting area at 1: 45pm and saw no one so he went on his lunch break. And again, no one informed us of anything. He then said it wasn’t his problem and it wasn’t his fault, then continued to blame everything on his staff. He also said it’s because the receptionists are new but my other family members have had issues with them previously, and if they are new the attitude they have is just absolutely not acceptable. I would not recommend coming here. This place is very unprofessional and there is no communication between the staff and doctors.

I never write any bad reviews but I’m hoping this will help them change how they operate. Their wait time is so ridiculous. You sit in the room for more than hour before a Doctor can come to see you. It would be helpful if they could inform us they are running behind schedule.

Poor communication. I was told over the phone that my sun life health insurance is acceptable, when I reached there they denied to accept it. Waste of time and money to commute

My family medical clinic, from front desk to the doctors every one is great good word of advise from them pretty much the entire building is devoted to medical human care, also a residential apartments also located there.

Fast, efficient, professional service! This was by far the best experience I’ve had! Thank you to all the staff working! This experience was due to all interactions I had, from front desk to the physician!

I visited this clinic today for the first time as I had a painful muscle pain and headache. I called them before coming and the receptionist said you can see the doctor soon if arrive within 15min without making a appointment as today is not a busy day. I arrived there within 10min at 2.05pm and they told me to wait till 2.45pm. Then I checked my appointment again at 2.45 and receptionist asked me to wait a bit. Then at 3.15pm checked again and the I was told there are another 4 patients ahead of me. This is totally ridiculous and seems they try to onboard patients as much as possible by making false promises on time to see the doctor. There was a another guy before me yelling at the receptionist as he had the same problem. Profit has to be made in a genuine way without unethical manner. This clinic will learn a lesson when someone die inside the clinic for waiting too long to see a doctor. Don’t trust the receptionist at the counters about walk-ins. If you really want to go to this clinic make a formal appointment prior to go. As walk-ins are treated as a garbage here.

Really don't like that they call their patients from a private number. Due to the huge amount of scams out there lots of people do not answer private or blocked calls. Would be so much more professional not to call from a blocked ID. Thank goodness I listened to my voice mail or I may have missed important information about an appointment. Disappointing.

Ok hear me out. We came in here in the middle of the busy hours (1-3 pm) and you can tell it's busy with all the patients in the lobby waiting for the doctor. There were many circumcisions and walk ins that day and the receptionists were HONESTLY running trying to help all the patients. (Kudos to them.) Expectedly the appointments were off around 30 minutes. But apart from that the receptionists handled everthing smoothly.

It's a misfortune to have to wait 30 mins for your appointment but its understood because of how many patients there are in the clinic. But apart from the patients the doctor and receptionists had to deal with, they still kept a smile on their faces and gave me and my family great service.

Kudos to the employees and their doctor. Keep up the great service.

The place isn't bad but it's not very accessible considering it's centered around medical clinics and providing medical care. I have been unable to find disabled parking in their lot. Moreover, parking is a minimum of 6 dollars for an hour and can only be paid with visa or change, which ends up being an issue for many people when they visit for the first time.

I had hurt my thumb wanted to find a walk in that was easy to get to. I stopped off at 4: 00 on Wednesday the8th of this month. There was only one person ahead of me and only had to wait 5 minutes. The receptionist took my blood pressure and weight. Then only about 10 minutes later saw the Doctor. The Doctor was very friendly and professional, he took his time asking questions about my health and mentioned my blood pressure was a little high, so he ordered different kinds of blood work, x-ray and ultrasound for my thumb. Dr. Garcia wanted to follow up a week later. Then when leaving the receptionist said to take care and have a good day. Very good experience.

There are so many bad reviews about this clinic and the employees which is why i got nervous coming to this place at first. I came around 2: 30 pm last week during the busy hours. I wanted to take a look for myself to see how the receptionists handled all the stress.

With all that stress and many people they still handled to take everyones blood pressure and temperature and to give me a clean room. I expected less but I guess they proved me wrong ‍️ But what I saw was they prioritized appointments before walk ins. (Duh) So if you don’t want to wait 30 mins- an hour I suggest booking an appointment.

Even though the doctor was multitasking with a procedure he still got a bright smile on his face once he enters your room to check up on you.

Overall, a great experience for me.

Literally the worst place to go. I went here instead of my regular clinic because it's Where do I start? Well first off they made me come in without having my test results done because of poor communication between doctors and receptionists. Than after having an appointment prepare to wait at least 30 minutes to get in. Lady before me had to wait more than an hour and a half and she just left because she had other things to be done by that time. Secondly doctors just don't seem to be interested in listening and understanding the situation you are in. Lady on the reception doesn't even know what adhd is and had to ask me the meaning of it.
I'm glad if you had a good experience but for me it was just stressful and frustrating. Thanks.

It’s one of the perks living around the area is the access of almost everything including few steps down to get to Hys Centre and of course just tunnel access to work at Royal Alex Hospital. Kinda stuck in here. So much to give up if I move. Lately I injured my wrist at work, came to see DR Ibrahim J in Hys Centre Med Clinic.as always, he’s super nice and thorough. Thanks Doc!

I called the clinic and spoke with the receptionist, i asked her if Doctor Jacobson was still inside the building, she told me she did not know, I asked her for a phone number but she did not know it, WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF HAVING A RECEPTIONIST? Terrible service!

I spent over twenty years going from doctor to doctor being told my description of pain and symptoms were all in my head. Some women can’t handle a period like others can (I’m weak?), take an Advil and seek me ta health care. My description of symptoms aren’t medically possible!
Then one day after years of feeling beaten down, I was accepted to see Dr. Al Jahash as a walk-in patient.
For the very first time in my life someone heard me. Dr. Al Jahash didn’t gaslight my description of pain and symptoms or try to tell me what I was describing was medically not possible:

Thanks to Dr. Al Jahash’s dedication to his oath, I gained a pathologically confirmed diagnosis and validation at the age of 31. It was an incredible experience I will always hold in my memory: when the diagnosing surgeon validated every pain source and symptom I had been describing and begging for help for so long!

Who knows how long I would have gone untreated before a chance to walk-in to his office. He and his staff treat me with humane dignity I had never known in a medical setting before.

My journey still has a long road ahead, but I am confident in a brighter future knowing I have Dr. Al-Jahash, the internalist specialist, the dietitian, the nurse, and of course, Sebastian in my corner.

I can only imagine how frustrating my case may be even for medical providers and support staff!

What quality of life I do have today, thanks to this office, affords me the ability to help others in many ways.

I was targeted for underground parking. I was 1 minute passed my time, I saw the guy putting a ticket on my window as he sneaked away from my car. How can a person get a ticket for being 1 minute past, was he standing outside my car waiting lol. Guess if you worked all your life, with countless years of college, you get targeted for having a nice car. One minute passed, I really hope karma comes back to you.

I came into the clinic as a walk in to see a doctor. There were 2 Filipino women at the front. The one in the middle helped me as the other one on refused to make eye contact with me or acknowledge that I was even there. The one that checked me in was very stern and abrupt. Nobody took any vitals on me and I was put into a dirty room! How do you not clean your rooms after patients.so disgusting! I definitely will not be coming back here.

I was all the time seeing the dr zayani but after he decides to change me to other drs doesn't matter if I have appointment with him or not, also the recipcionist said he is full.he doesn't accept other patient in time I heard he takes patients.

I had an appointment yesterday that I had made 4 months ago. They had called and left a message a few hours before my appointment (on my landline and I'm at work) cancelling my appointment as the doctor was on vacation. He had already been on vacation for a week so why couldn't they provide more notice? I get there for my appointment that I'm unaware had been cancelled and the receptionist was exceedingly rude, like them cancelling my appointment with very little notice was somehow my fault. I make another appointment for today, I get there and my appointment had been cancelled AGAIN. What is the purpose of making an appointment when the office can't keep them? You had FOUR months to move my appointment. The receptionists are very rude. I had thought that this clinic was good, but now I wouldn't recommend going there ever. I would give them zero stars if I could since I received zero service, and all I achieved was a massive amount of inconvenience.

Everything changed after seeing the doctor. Very friendly and knowledgeable. I just found my family doctor. Big Thanks

Canceled my Appointment for no reason. I even called in the morning to confirm that appointment. Worst experience I ever had.
