Today my wife and I decided to stop by this store for the first time while looking for Christmas gifts. They have some great items here but we were both made to feel extremely uncomfortable by the staff. To start you have to buzz into and out of the store, the door is locked even when you're inside and the staff has to come allow you to leave when you want to go. The entire time we were there a staff member followed us, she wasn't even trying to hide that she was doing it, we started downstairs and every time we turned around she was there then we went upstairs and she wasn't more than 5 stairs behind us as we went upstairs. No help was offered she was just lurking around watching us and texting on her phone as we shopped. I'm not sure how bad this neighborhood is that it's located in but when they have to keep the doors locked at all times and buzz you in and out like it's a jail and then follow customers around to make sure they aren't stealing maybe it's saying this isn't the best place to shop. If you do decide to shop here make sure you lock your car doors and keep your hands where the staff can see them while you shop.
I went in and found a picture to purchase the big sticker on the front priced $35 I left picture at the front counter and looked around shop. When I came back to pay he said the small tag says $85 and would not honor the large sticker price taped to the front of the picture. Very disappointed. Won't be back.
My grand daughter and I had an antiquing day. We were very impressed with the staff at Ibon antiques - they were interested in what we wanted to purchase, knew their inventory and told us about the antiques. I was also impressed with the cleanliness of the store which can be a challenge. It is my new favourite antique store.
Amazing collection of antique furniture, clothing and glass. Incredibly easy going experience, friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely recommend and will be returning soon.
When we arrived, the store was open but we were immediately pushed out and locked out. The store should be ready for people. It didn't make for a very nice first impression. The things in the store were overpriced. And there were so many warnings about not touching or breaking things, and that you're on camera.it made it uncomfortable. And then it felt like people were sent to spy on us. I would not recommend people coming to the store. I should have read the reviews. I initially just left a single star because it seems that the owner is going to brush away any criticisms. Like she did.
Sales rep were fantastic.very knowledgeable and friendly staff. We were looking for something very specific and staff went above and beyond to help us. Will definitely recommend for antiques.
With both an impressive selection and more than reasonable prices there is something here for everyone. Went in to take a look and ended up buying the most incredible piece of luggage. Check it out!
Cute store, lots of fun selection! Only thing I took issue with was being aalmost badgered by one of the male employees. Maybe this was reactionary to the 1 star reviews about customer service, but if a person says they will ask for help when they need it, maybe don't check in again 10-15 more times.
Otherwise, love the place. All the female employees were awesome:)
Wonderful store and wonderful staff! Every time I go in they always have really cool things available like furniture, jewelry, clothing, and all kinds of other neat stuff!
Ample parking and easy to find. Well staffed (I spotted about 4 people working throughout the store). Great selection of antique furniture, china, and even some clothing. Didn't find anything but worth a visit!
Stopped here during my visit to Edmonton and had a lovely time chatting with the staff and slowly making my way through their 2 floors of great selection. I'll be back on my next trip!
Wonderful place and very friendly staff! The selection was great and everything we were looking for was in pristine condition. Had a lovely conversation with an employee whose name I forgot to ask for (young with a rose tattoo on their arm) who was friendly and very knowledgeable. Will absolutely return!
An incredible store to walk through! The staff was very friendly and the owners incredibly knowledgeable. I was looking for Royal Albert china and they have lots of great rare pieces. Also a great selection of silverware, some pieces going back as far as 1800s. Very well maintained store with items of quality.
Had a great visit today with Nikki and her colleagues! We experienced friendly as well as very knowledgeable service - a gorgeous store with some fantastic pieces, everything is very well cared for and the pride the staff take in their shop shows!
They won’t let you in if you don’t wear a mask (there are no mandates). Would give a lower score but the woman who answered the door was very pleasant. This place is not for me but would recommend for those of you still wearing masks, as the place does look awesome
Very cool shop couple blocks off Whyte Avenue. Free Street Parking. Lots of meet antiques and collectibles. Worth a semi-frequent browse for treasures.
I love this store! Very knowledgeable folks and great finds. When I need a wander around and reminisce, this is where I go and I rarely leave without an item or two that I just can’t live without!
Best antiques in the city! I love this place as the staff is friendly and knowledgeable! But the displays, selection, and quality of their antiques are to die for. I highly recommend this place to all antiquers!
I ordered Hummel Figurines on line and I can say that I was very satisfied with their prompt reply. Debra was very friendly on the phone. And what a speedy delivery by her husband. The Figurines are in very good condition, just a wee tiny flaw on one of them. I would definitely recommend this supplier of Antiques! Thank you, Debra, You will see me at your store soon!
5 Stars because my past experiences at this location have all be really good. The collection is impressive and you can always find something to take home with you. My most recent visit was rather disappointing though. I checked my bag as I always do and then was followed around the store like a hawk. The one thing I did find, I didn't even want to buy because of the bad taste this experience left in my mouth. Really disappointing, hopefully the next visit won't be like this.
