I am not a tech savvy person. I did have a computer crash years ago where I lost a lot of data. So I went to portable hard drives to store everything. Who knew those could fail too! Years worth of my art work and ideas LOST. Or so I thought. My husbands company had used ICube before and after trying a local Ufixit place and their very pushy counterparts, we decided to go with iCube. SO GLAD WE DID.they restored everything! They kept in touch thru the whole process and were very nice people. I hope I never need their services again, but I am glad to know they are there. Recommend 1000%

I highly recommend this business. My harddrive stopped working and Best Buy in Shawnessy recommended I take it here. Now this is important, these guys could have charged me an arm and a leg to recover my data and put it on a new harddrive. But instead they were extremely personable and told me it was a simple electronic failure and set me on my way with a working harddrive. I was extremely grateful and appreciative. I felt like their integrity as a business was more important to them than a one time fee they could have charged me. I will recommend this business moving forward to anyone I know that had harddrive issues.

We were in quite a pickle. Our computer crashed - the one with all our business data, including invoices and parts inventory for the last three years. Although directed by our computer guy (now former computer guy) to back up all our data weekly, the backups didn't work.: - (Matthew was able to recover our data, send us back a copy of that data, and direct us toward getting back up and running. My surface laptop crashed on me 3 months ago without obvious reason!
I took it to several computer places in the city and no one could fix it. I went back to every place again to just get my data. Again, no one had a clue was because it is “surface” laptop and no one knew how to do that.

Great customer experience. Recovered most of the data lost. Unfortunately they could not recover it all, and I was not aware until a few days later that a couple things were missing. Great experience overall however.

So I had a 1tb Passport hard drive that started acting up. At first I tried using disc drill and that kinda worked but it took over a week to do 25% then it completely stopped working altogether so I called Icube and they said to bring it over. They were able to diagnose and fortunately repair my data and put it on a new hard drive for me. I had over 20 years of pictures of my wife and 4 children and they were able to save it all. Im super happy with there service. For me it was quick and easy and they know what they are doing. I so glad we have smart people like this in our world. Thanks Icube to you and your team. I had another great experience with i-Cube after our laptop crashed. After an exhaustive review and analysis, attempts to recover data by the team was not fruitful. This was due solely to the manufacture's use of an SSD controller that encrypted all data - unbeknowest to me. All the time spent was absorbed by i-Cube - as is their policy when data cannot be recovered. You never want to have to use their services, but when devices fail, this is one standup company to get you back up and running. Thanks to Matt and team!

Just as I was to move data over to a new portable HDD, my old one failed. No longer able to assign a drive letter and no simple fix from the manufacturer, I was left in shock. The manufacturer's advice - go to a data recovery company. After searching and reviewing the many possibilities, I chose iCube Development. My reasons were clear - I wanted a local company that treated my concerns and troubles as if it were their own.

Recently, my external hard drive got crashed due to mechanical issue, It was a nightmare for me and it had about 700 Gb valuable data. After a research, and reading reviews, I contacted icube development. They are very professional and understood the importance of timeline of the data recovery. After initial inspection, they promised to recover 80 percent data. But, they recovered 90% of my data, even though hard drive was damaged. I strongly recommend them.

I have been using the great guys at ICube Development for several years now. They are knowledgeable, friendly and always available.

I dropped two USBs in 2020 to recover the data and received wrong diagnostics and a very high price. I got them to try and recover from one USB and they couldn't do it. Two years later I took the remaining USB to Data Recovery Expert and got it done in few hours for less than half the price! Turns out the whole diagnostics was wrong.

The team at ICube is exactly who you want on your side in a data loss crisis. My small company was
hit with a ransome-ware attack and I had no clue how to proceed. A tech friend referred iCube and they mobilized quickly, took control, and they had me up and running again with a stronger security to prevent any future risks. These guys were probably the most professional and knowledgeable crew I will ever deal with.

ICube Development (Calgary) Ltd.came to the rescue when our hard drive fell off a table and the drive was damaged. We were at risk of losing two years of data collection for a turtle project to reduce turtle mortality. Yikes!
iCube was incredibly responsive and laid out their plan to recover the data and provide an estimate before work was done. The process was so smooth, and we quickly received a link with the recovered data.
I loved their care and concern, so if you need to recover data, this is definitely the place to come first!

Matthew was very considerate and communicative during the process of data recovery from my external drive that stopped working which had my whole life on it. He explained the potential percentage of recovery throughout the process and in the end was able to recover much more data than even he expected. And even still gave me an out because if they can't get 100% they offer an out if a person wants to walk away from the process. Matthew was very friendly, responsive and straight up with me upon my initial phone call about recovering my personal data from a crashed hard drive. He made no promises except to say; he would do what he could to restore my disk image and or restore all my personal data, but needed to complete an evaluation on the HDD first which could take 24-48 hours to complete. Therefore, I brought my laptop into iCube where Ian was professional and a pleasure to talk with, where he removed my HDD in minutes which allowed me to continue on with my day, and he said; he would contact me once the evaluation was complete and then could provide me with an price and recovery estimate for my HHD and data.

Amazing; first thing the next day, I was contacted via email by iCube who also provided continual email updates on my HDD evaluation and data recovery progress with a price estimate and HDD and data recovery options. I gave iCube a quick call, where I agreed to the price estimate and HDD and data recovery options provided and where they said; they would contact me once complete.

These guys are good.by the end of the day (that day), the day after I provided iCube with my HDD, Kaylee gave me a call and said; they were done and I could stop by anytime to pick up my HDD where my data was 100% recovered.iCube restored my data quicker than any customer has a right to expect, it was within 24 hours of dropping off my HHD with them. I dropped off my hard drive for data recovery in the morning and they had a chance to look at it the same day. I received updates at each step of the process keeping me informed as to what was happening. We brought in a harddrive which ended up having mechanical failure, and physical damage, which means the chances of data recovery were very low. It was devastating as we had many of our childrens early pictures. We thought all was lost, and we werent able to afford the cost to attempt it. But one of the Technicians was able to pull at least a few photos off, no charge. It shows heart and compassion, and great skills.all the things you want from a company.im impressed

My external hard drive jumped off my desk and hit the floor. I contacted the ICube crew and dropped it off a few days later. Matt phoned me a couple of days late with an analysis. He expected to recover 80% of the data and gave me a price. Two days later, Matt called. He had recovered 99% of the data and a new hard drive was in the mail the next day. I am happy with the prompt efficient service. I just wish I could find the app that could teach these hard drives to fly.

This is the only established company for hard drive recovery in Calgary I believe. The service was very quick than expected considering I went with the cheapest route. We are extremely grateful that we were referred to iCube Development to assist us in the retrieval of lost information from our external drive and old CPU that we could not access any information from. I did a lot of research before going with these guys, and very glad I did. Managed to recover everything that mattered off the drive. Super friendly and easy experience. Dropped the drive off and picked it up 2 days later. I was in panic mode but went with a 24 hour diagnostics and was told very quickly what the chances of recovery were, and what the actual problem was (bad sectors as far as I remember). Really hope I'm not in this scenario ever again but won't think twice about going back here again.

We had an external hard drive crash, which contained many pictures of our daughter who had recently passed away at 6 yrs of age.iCube was able to recover 100% of the data on our hard drive. They completed our request quickly and kept us informed on the process every step of the way. Given the circumstances, they even offered us compassionate pricing (without us requesting it). Even if we paid the full charges on the quoted cost, the amount was still significantly less than several large chains were quoting us (such as BestBuy).
