The kosher for passover apricot looking spread from Aliments Altra Foods was a huge disappointment. Would not buy this or any of their products again. Their artificially flavoured fruit pulp made to look like apricot was pathetic.
The best selection of kosher foods in the city. Always a great supporter of the Jewish community.
Once again visited I went to check out their Passover selection. More specifically their gluten free Passover selection. And there was lots, but I think a bit less than last year.
The cashier Cora Was very pleasant very spunky attitude She has great customer service skills the store has some good deals And I hope lots of people shop here
Fabulous store. Everything is in it place. Great neighborhood store. Super management and staff. Good parking Clean store CleanWashrooms to use. Best customer service. Thank-you
This is a great local supermarket that happens to be on a route I periodically take. If you just want to pick up a few things and don't feel like negotiating some vast expanse of parking lot and hordes of fellow shoppers, you can drop in, pick up a few things, and be out again in minutes. Lots of kosher - bonus
One of the most expensive stores I have ever bought groceries at! Anywhere from 6.99 to 8.99 for a head of cauliflower when I could get the same for 3.99 at safeway! Basil at the Italian center 4.49 and 6.99 at Andy's. I only shop there when I can't get to a regular store as it is in my neighbourhood. Kids behind the tills are more interested in socializing with one another than speaking to a customer.outrageous prices!
I used to love this store but it becomes exceedingly unfriendly. Their cashiers are not even empowered to give rain checks, supervisors are hard to find and then refuse to do the rain check because they might never have the product again. Well the rain check is only good for 30 days and I doubt they are going to stop carrying top sirloin anytime soon. So customer unfriendly. And they don’t make potato buns anymore either! Use to be a wonderful, warm, top drawer grocery. Too bad.
If I could give Andy's IGA a 10 rating I would! Just experienced the most enjoyable grocery shopping! The Happiest and most friendly staff I've seen anywhere in a very long while! I'll be back!
I had a gift card to spend so I thought I'd try the Valleyview IGA. It's a nice small neighborhood grocery store, everything you need and you don't need to walk miles to find it.
You guys are getting really bad a rotating products! Such a small store not sure how this happens just came home with a bunch of expired food not to happy
Phoned so many grocery stores in Edmonton to find matzo ball mix and this IGA was the only one I could find after quite a few phone calls so I was very happy about that! The lady on the phone knew exactly what I was talking about and knew exactly where in the store to find it both very helpful. Also picked up a perfectly roasted chicken from their deli will definitely be coming back here!
Smaller community grocery store, does a very good job of stocking a variety of products for it's size. You won't find the really big bulk items, but you can generally get everything you need. They do not have a pharmacy, but they do have a bakery in house. Large offering of Kosher products, and a reasonable amount of variety of gluten free offerings.
Always has a great variety of items in stock at the store. The speciality isles are well prepared, such as Kosher, gluten-free, bakery, deli and a few others. However the produce section sticks out the most in my mind, as the presentation and freshness are amazing! The staff everytime I have been there have been happy to help!
Sadly after shopping here for 40 years I was asked to leave for being unable to wear a mask due to medical conditions, COPD, chronic bronchitis and seasonal allergies make it impossible for me to breathe with a mask on. I thought I could buy flowers from the outdoor garden shed but was told to leave. That’s fine their option but I won’t be back
I'm sure the positive reviews are written by friends and family of the immature girls on cash. Rude employees, dingy and poorly lit store, girls could use a training refresher on customer service especially on how to manage cash transactions. Rudeness and an eye-roll should not be the go-to when a senior opts to pay with cash vs.debit/credit. Absolutely disgusting. Avoid.
This is my favourite store for grocery shopping. Why? Meat is superior- flavourful. The service is exceptional. The students that work at checkout are smart, well mannered and efficient. The store is small but has good selections. Always a pleasure to shop at this location.
Best grocery store ever! Friendly, clean and they always have everything I need. They always ask if you need carry out! The staff and management are amazing and I am very grateful to all of them!
They just kicked my husband out for not wearing a mask. My husband has a heart condition where if he doesn't breath properly his heart rate takes off sometimes forcing us to go to the hospital to get it slowed again. We quite liked this store but we are never setting foot in this store again.
Too expensive to shop there, everything is overpriced, only went here cause it was the closest grocery store to where i was working at the time.will never again enter this store after i seen my bill at the end of it.dont waste ur time coming here unless u have connor mcdavid money.
Andy's has been around for a long time situated in a great location one the westend, great produce, deli, bakery and fresh meats, good selection of almost everything you could need, the store is always immaculate and the staff friendly and helpful, just wish the prices where alitte lower, just keep an eye out for sales, great store!
Good selection of products and friendly staff. However, I had a $5 off coupon from IGA which they refused to honour. Not impressed that the only IGA in the city won't take their own company's coupons.
Awesome store, smaller then most grocery stores but still has high quality produce and meat. Store is always clean and very friendly staff. Having worked for sobeys for years and IGA back in the day this place will bring back memories. It's well run and super friendly staff!
A good source for gluten-free items. Friendly, knowledgeable staff and a good selection of products. Excellent meat department. You can pre-order fresh turkeys for special occasions. Andy's is a smaller store, with plenty of staff. You can zip in, do a quick shop, and zip out in a few minutes.
This place has a certain charm that I'm willing to drive a little further for. It reminds me of grocery stores when I was a kid, down to the lobster tank at the meat counter, and the mechanical horse ride. They have a better variety of meats, produce, and bakery items than some large supermarkets, and it's a fraction of the size, so you can actually make a quick trip, and still get what you need. I also appreciate how many local products they carry.
Good selection and prices but most of all an experienced and friendly staff, enough of them on hand to help you too, unlike the larger stores. Never a long lineup at checkout and easy parking too.
My favorite grocery store in my area. When I had to spend $50 for an airmiles redemption we were shocked that we bought, what we thought, was surely over $50 of groceries and we were still short. I'm walking distance from Safeway and have shopped there for years and I have switched to IGA now.unique products that I love and a nice small store with a great selection
This is a great little grocery store. I used to live nearby and shopped more regularly there. So now when I can't find certain things, especially ethnic grocery item I head down to Andy's IGA and they still stock it!
Lovely grocery store with every good quality food that you can enjoy! I travel from Camrose, Alberta due to the variety, quality and distinctive choices of brands that you cannot find easily. Kosher, Gluten-free, seafood, brand makes, specialty items and great fresh quality. Recommend for anyone wanting something new to their menu!
I'm a native Edmontonian, and growing up in the west end, I've been to this store countless times. On this particular visit, I was looking specifically for kosher meats for some wonderful friends who were coming back from a family holiday. I specifically came to Valleyview because I knew they'd not only have what I wanted, they'd help me find it quickly. Special shout out and recognition to the staff in the Meat Department for taking me right to what I was looking for. Keep up the great work folks!
One of my favorite places to shop for groceries. Staff provide excellent customer service and I can always find the items that are on my shopping list.
