IHOP

Food is always delightful here however service was extremely poor. Waited nearly 10 minutes just to be seated by a host. They also did not bring cutlery to the table. No one came out for us to ask so we ended up having to take silverware off of another table. The dining room is nothing special but it was very cold for a winter day.

I truthfully and honestly CANNOT recommend IHOP. We had the classic eggs Bennie and at 18.99 (before any taxes) per plate, it was awful. The hollandsise sauce looked like it had been sitting all morning and over all just wasn’t worth that cost. There are many other places with much better food for that price.

Waited over 4x longer than what we were told we were going to wait, the staff let in multiple groups that both cut the line and came in after my group of 4

Our visit to iHop this morning was very disappointing. After being seated and ordering drinks and finishing them twice, we had to wait 20 min to order. Both of us ordered the original eggs Benedict. After waiting another 45 min for our food I had noticed that the restaurant was less than 50% full. I could understand having to wait a bit longer if understaffed or very busy. But this wasn't the case at all.
Our food came after an hour of waiting only to be served a meal that I hadn't ordered. It was taken back and I was brought the right meal. After closer inspection I had noticed that there was no more than 1 tbs of hollandaise sauce on each eggs Benny for both orders, so we ordered an extra side of sauce.
Which came and was cold. I cut into my egg and not only was it extremely undercooked but now it was also cold. The dish was taken back to the kitchen and the bill was called for.
After spending $30 for coffee and lemonade and food we didn't get to eat and feeling hungry and annoyed, we came to the conclusion that we won't be returning and will be going to Dennys from now on.

First time visit on very busy 12 Nov.morning, wait time was minimal. Fast attentive service with great food. Birthday treat and free breakfast came as a complete

We visited iHop, for my first time visiting the restaurant, today, November 11. When we arrived to put our name down for a table, we were told the wait time was about 25 minutes for a table. We were okay with that as we had some errands to run at southcentre mall. However the wait ended up being over an hour, we were extremely hungry at that point but the waiting didn’t end there.

We got to the restaurant, and the front desk staff couldn’t seem to decide whether they wanted to give us a table, making us wait and go back and forth for about 10 minutes before being seated. After about 30 minutes of waiting, we finally had a server come get our drink orders. However, I got coffee, cream and sugar but no spoon to stir it in. We tried to make eye contact or speak with another server but were ignored. I ended up not getting cutlery until we got our food (that took nearly an hour to come out). We had two elderly ladies who also experienced an hour wait just to receive their coffee from our server. He never walked around to ask whether our food was okay. They had ample staff for the slow down that happened around 1: 30, yet everyone in the restaurant seemed to be waiting for a server. They must have all been waiting by the front entrance, where their manager was frantically running around,
Ignoring patrons and her own staff.

The food was fine, but the service will make us never want to go back. Comparing to other low cost brunch places (such as Denny’s) the service pales in comparison.

Overall wouldn’t recommend this place on a weekend nor would recommend the male worker we had.

9/10. Never give anything a ten. But this places deserves a pretty close ten. The food & service is very good in the Southside location. I didn't have a good experience on the Northside. The coffee is very good as well. Try the buttermilk pancakes. I recommend this place. Wish we had IHOP on Saskatchewan.

Very slow service. Food took to long to come out and wasn't very appetizing. Would recommend going to the north IHOP if the option was there. Would not recommend this location

I quite like IHOP
My wife and I often have brunch dates at many of the different places in the city and if we miss some of the earlier windows, we usually come here. IHOP has pretty generous hours so if you miss the window for Reds, or some of the other breakfast places, IHOP has pretty great food and good service, not to mention a decent cost for everything.

All in all, I'd recommend the place.
Also, if it's your birthday they will give you some great incentives to come in for a meal.

That's better than most places these days already.

Food ideas I'd recommend:
-French toast
-Cowboy burger (seriously, it's really good)
-Breakfast sampler
-Any omelet
-Waffles or pancakes are done quite well

Very clean and spacious location. It was very busy but we were still sat quickly and the food arrived in a timely manner. We were a table of nine and we appreciated they could accommodate us. The manager checked on us personally and the staff sang happy birthday. A great visit and will come again!

I've never been a big fan of IHOP but this time was much better. I ordered a burbon jam burger and it tasted amazing. The service was a bit slow but the food made up for it. I would definitely order that again from here.

Coffee could have been hotter. Food was better than when I visited ihop at another location. Service was very good and my food ready quickly but it was not very busy.

The server was awesome, he was super nice and helpful, even when I had multiple issues with the food. My kids enjoyed their scary pancakes but it was advertised on the little feature menu they would be able to decorate it themselves which is what I told them and that didn’t happen, they were already done up. It was still cute though. I tried the seasonal pumpkin spice pancake combo and they tasted sour for some reason and over cooked. I ordered bacon and got sausage but they fixed that right away. I was given scrambled eggs instead of poached medium and the server tried to get that fixed for me but I got a bowl half full of water with poached very soft totally liquid still and gave up on the eggs since I got to keep the sausage that was accidentally given to me. I tried the accidental scrambled that was left on my plate and it wasn’t good, kids didn’t like them either. The coffee was good. I will probably give this place one more try as maybe it was just an off day for the kitchen or something, I have heard good things about this iHop from others before so another try will happen eventually. It was super kid friendly here, they LOVED the Halloween decor and pumpkins and the holiday themed colouring pages supplied to them to keep busy while we waited for food.

Amazing customer service. Great food as usual. We are happy all around and would like to thank the manager LOUVETT. She is definitely the reason we will return.

My partner and I went today at lunch and it was not even half full capacity. So many things weren't good. The table had a sticky spot of syrup that wasn't cleaned off, they almost served my partner a coffee mug with lipstick on it but at least caught that last minute. My burger took forever and when I got it, the bun was stale and so tough to bite then crumbled when i could get through. I ordered the Jalapeno Kick and didn't get any jalapenos or poblano peppers at all. They offered my partner jam for his toast, he said yes, and he never got it until asking for the bill.

I could understand half of these mistakes if it was a busy Saturday morning, but this was truly a bad experience. Our server was lovely though, but the rest was not.

We went at location on last Sunday. We had reserved the table in advance. We wanted to sit in the booth. The server said there wasn't server to serve in that area. We sat in the area wasn't our preference
The manager Smart passed by to greet us. Mentioned to him about the situation and he said that wasn't acceptable. He did offer us to sit in the booth but because of my physical disability we politely said know. Smart professional polite he deserves 5 plus star. Excellent food. Smart came over a couple of time to make sure we were satisfied and if was anything else we wanted and we were happy and satisfied.
Would recommend a very good place to go value for the money

Arrived at 11 waited to be seated 20mins which was ok. What wasn't ok was waiting anothe 50s for food. Won't return.

This is a great breakfast spot and the prices are reasonable. The portions are good. You will not leave hungry.

Leaving pots of coffee on the table is a nice touch.

Went in on an evening about 5: 50pm and the restaurant was mostly empty. We were seated right away. As we sat, more tables came in and we noticed that those tables orders were being taken but no one came to our table. We waited almost 20 min and no one came to take our order- not even for drinks. The server did notice us a few times and made eye contact but still didn’t come over. Finally we got up and left. My first time in this restaurant and it was a big disappointment.

Amazing food! Our server Kayla is so sweet and very attentive to everything we needed during our visit. Would definitely recommend and I will stop by again when I’m in the City.

My crepe was soggy, tasted so sickening sweet and the white cheese sauce was inedible it was very bitter. The "crispy" potatoes were also soggy.
