It's been quite a few years since I've been to iHop. Food was good and fast, but what made it awesome was our server, Ashley. She's so nice and attentive. Thank you Ashley
One of our friends made a reservation for 23 people for this location the previous day where she was told by management that they were capable of accommodating. Upon our arrival, they had one server for the complete restaurant (including the party of 23 people that I was part of). As hard as the server tried, he was not capable to keep up (of course he couldn't, he was one person covering a complete restaurant) as management stayed in the kitchen and did not assist him. This server worked so hard to try and accommodate and every person appreciated his hard work. Management at this restaurant failed this individual. They did not help him service the customers nor did they call in help, which was required. When this was brought up to the manager as we were paying (which took well over an hour to do because, again, he was left to take care of all of us himself along with the rest of the dining room), the manager was dismissive and told us to make a complaint on Google. The manager failed to recognize how he left a server to handle a whole dining room himself with no help that compromised the service their customers nor acknowledge the less than acceptable food leaving the kitchen (a member of our party ordered a burger with a chicken breast on it and when the burger arrived, the chicken breast was a quarter of the size it was supposed to be). We advised the manager none of us would be returning to the restaurant.advised the manager his work ethic should match his server who busted his butt to try and accommodate.
I am definitely coming back! The manager and entire staff were some of the friendliest I’ve met. They were very courteous, weren’t annoying, and were happy.
My wife and I truly enjoyed being here, and we typically eat at upscale breakfast places.
Definitely coming back next time we’re in Edmonton.
This IHOP off Calgary Trail was pretty good About 3/5.
Ketchup bottle was dirty with spilled ketchup at the neck of bottle. Waiter brought a second one but left the dirty one.
Music could be turned down and replaced with instrumental music with volume lowered.
Seniors discount on Tuesdays.
Sanitary measures need to be revised. Saw bus boy clean tables with sanitizer only. Should be hot, soap water followed by sanitizer.
Those clearing dishes should be wearing gloves to prevent transference of bacteria from table to table. Would go again. I liked better the IHOP in Sherwood Park.
Had breakfast at 9: 00am on a holiday Monday. Restaurant was about 1/3 full and the customer service was amazing. Our server was cheery and talkative, food was good. I would definitely recommend this location!
Have been pretty disappointed with IHOP in the past but was really craving some pancakes today. We came to IHOP south side and had an awesome experience! Geeta was our server, she was very friendly & had a great attitude. We both had tea, coffee, waters & milkshakes and she was on top of everything! Our food came out quickly and was nice and hot!:) I’d come back simply to be served by Geeta again.
Was fairly quick experience was pretty good waited a fair bit for a coffee pot refill but other then that food came out awesome and service was great all around!
I went on Sunday at approx 12pm. It was busy but I got in fast. Lots of servers so there was not a long wait. There was a $9.99 special that was a very good deal. Got pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausauge, and hashbrowns. The side order of toast was not needed. Coffee was $3.50 a cup and tasted gross. Was a waste of money. Food was awsome, served fast and hot. Family of 5 cost $70 for 5 specials and drinks.
Food was decent, service was poor.the server didn't know much about the menu, and when we were finished dinner and asked for the bill, we waited about 10min before going up to the front and paying at the counter.
I’ve been visiting this location with my parents for over ten years and can’t say enough about the outstanding service and food quality every single visit! All the servers are so warm, friendly, and attentive that I’ve never once had a bad experience with any one of them over the years. The breakfasts are great, especially the French Toast and hash browns which are my favorites and the best of all breakfast restaurants. Looking forward to many more years of wonderful family breakfasts and friendly, courteous service!
Food was not all delivered on time for our table. One of our friends just started eating when the rest of us finished. Food was just below mediocre and the service was average.
Awesome! We were seated quickly. Our waiter, and i hate that i didn't get his name, was FANTASTIC! He checked what brand the chocolate milk was so that i could drink it and then brought with ice as requested. He took our order and the food came out fast and hot. He checked on us regularly and topped up drinks as needed. He was a very sweet man. Definitely recommend!
Ordered a burger with no cheese. Got one with cheese. Told the server they took it and it came back with no cheese and also no bacon. Seemed like they just took the cheese off instead of making a whole new one. Everything else ok.
I really enjoyed my meal. They allowed me to order off the smaller appetite menu which I really appreciate. Women's bathroom was clean. My husband was very disappointed with the men's bathroom as it was very dirty. All in all I would go back but my husband was not happy
I craved IHOP pancakes with the butter pecan syrup for a year, and when I finally got here, I ordered the strawberry syrup. Still really good food, and the staff have been terrific throughout the pandemic. There's something about IHOP coffee that's great, too. It's probably the mugs.
First visit in a very long time, due to Covid restrictions. Glad I came back. This is my favourite Edmonton IHOP. My server was Joshua and he did an amazing job. Food was hot and fast! Coffee was always full, miss my personal carafe though. Glad that the service and food is still high quality.
Not only did we wait nearly two hours for our food, my pancakes were not cooked, my friends food was cold and it was all very bad, they forgot our orders and brought us the wrong stuff. They gave us decaf coffee when we wanted regular. And the waitress was mia for most of the meal. As a server I get it but this place was bad
I worked at this place for about half a year back in about 2016 or 2017. I still come here sometimes as Ayesha and many of the staff members are absolutely lovely. However, I am shocked to see that Pearl still works here, as she is the reason many people have quit the job, including myself. I watched one waiter who worked there longer than I did quit on the spot because of how she mistreated him. I did not know that waiter very well but I know he was a calm and friendly individual. I too, left a couple months after because of how she treated me while working as an assistant manager. I am very disappointed to see her every time I come to eat and so are many past workers of this place.
Pancakes were great. Eggs were undercooked. Not cooked. Ug. Informed waitress, and there was no concern. She said she would tell the cook. There was a discount on the bill for 5$. So I guess there's that.
I'd like to give it 3.5 but can't so I'll go 4. The lower rating of mostly because of the renovations. Nice that they are open through it but very noisy while I was inside. Good was good as per usual.
Ordered via ubereats only to have ihop staff call me that they dont have the food i ordered.
I let her know to cancel it and ive been waiting for a while for her to do so that i can order from somewhere else. Meanwhile, 2 delivery drivers went to there to pick up food that is suppose to be cancelled!
Her lack of cancelling the order is starting to inconvenience me.
The food was soooo good the last time that we were here we just couldn't resist going back despite the raging pandemic. This time I remembered to take some more pictures. Again food was delicious and service was great. Believe this is one of our favorite eating places for now.
October 2020.
Went for our bloodwork and then my husband decided that we deserved a treat, afted being poked and prodded. My hubby suggested that we go to I Hop and have some brunch as a reward. It wasn't that busy yet, because it wasn't lunchtime which was nice. A pleasant hostess took us directly to our booth. There was a small green card on the tables that stated they had already been cleaned and sanitized. Very important during these trying times. Our server brought us our drink order right away. When we were ready he took our order. He was very professional and pleasant. Ready and willing to provide us with excellent service. One negative was when he had removed his gloves while serving us. This made me uncomfortable. Our food arrived very soon after ordering it. The food looked scrumptious. We ate our pancake and ultimate breakfast deals and enjoyed every bite. My hubby tried the pumpkin spice pancakes and they certainly didn't disappoint. I tried the cinnabon pancakes and they were exquisite. Mouth watering. We certainly are looking forward to enjoying another brunch here soon. They also have Halloween decorations galore which gave the restaurant a festive feel. It has been months since I have been out so I apologize for forgetting to take pictures that day of our plates of food. Overall it was a great brunch surrounded by pleasant staff. Ignore the construction outside because YES THEY ARE STILL OPEN!
UPDATE **** 2019. All you can eat pancakes mmmmm
UPDATE **** Came here with my son and his Caregiver on New Year's day. First our male server was pleasant and excellent at his job. He was absolutely wonderful. Our food arrived in a timely manner and was hot. I have a pet peeve and that's when food arrives cold. Was disappointed that they ran out of the chicken dinner I originally ordered. The Turkey dinner was okay. We had healthy portions and left with full tummies. Nice festive decorations and the price was right. Will be back if this continues.
The food was so, so. My chicken fried steak was dried out and hard to cut. Very disappointed. The waitress had a scoul on her face the entire time. Seems like she resented serving us. Went there again just before Halloween. They did a nice job on the Halloween decorations. I am sure the children eating there would have truly liked them. I am no longer a child and I know they put me in the mood. My husband ordered his usual breakfast order and I had the Loaded potato soup for starters along with some other dishes. Sorry I can't remember exactly what I ate, but this time I did enjoy my brunch. Only recommendation I would to make to the chef is that the soup was a little bland and could use more seasoning. The waitress this time bent over backwards to provide us with exemplary service. You have definitely re-earned back another star.
Very friendly service, I came from out of town and didn't have a mask (but maintained social distancing) and they were fine with it Pancakes were awesome, the server provided excellent service, and the place was packed Will definitely be back!
Great place and service. Our server was very attentive to every detail concerning our meal. He was patient when we took 20 mins to order and came back to check on us often.
Double Blueberry Pancakes! Yum! Restaurant is currently under construction - on the outside. But they are still open. Be prepared to be greeted by friendly, masked staff!
For the same price you can support your local family owned restaurant or eatery. The food is subpar and will leave you wanting some real food prepared fresh instead of sausages that were prepared either last night or at open and kept under a heat lamp. Disgusting quality of food served here unless it's the fresh fruit bowl bit it's pretty hard to mess that up.
My order was about $25 and I left $5 tip, at the door when I was leaving one of their worker came to me and said you left a small tip and next time you need to leave more! I really was shocked and had nothing to say just left and never go back there again
