For the first time I go to this place the guy is too ugly and talk like yelling sound and the was not good never go to this place please guys.

Lashish catered our event for 65 people! The food was fresh and delicious. Kebabs tender with an excellent charred flavour. It was a real hit! Didn’t mention the fabulous fresh and delicious salads and creamy smooth hummus!
Omar was very gracious and happy to assist! Great friendly staff! Highly recommend!
A small ‘takeout’ restaurant with that great feel of sitting in the kitchen along with the cooks!

I came here for the first time because it was in close walking distance from where I was—and had a great experience. The owner went above and beyond to give me a wonderful first experience with samples and complimentary dessert, and kindness was shown to another ‘visitor’ that came in as well. I was impressed with his service and my husband and I really enjoyed the food. Thank you!

I have ordered a chicken shawarma. It was the worst Shawarma I have ever eat, I could find a piece of chicken at it. That was the first try and I will never go there and recommend to anyone…

Unfortunately I am removing my 5 star, this used to be an amazing shawarma spot, always drove from west end to eat here, haven't been here in about 3 months, just had my last meal.
Portions have gotten way smaller, Salad wasn't fresh, the hummus wasn't as tasty as before, the potatoes were reheated from possibly Sunday or Saturday.
Its unfortunate because they were always amazing but seems thats no longer the case.

Also $2+ for a Bottle of Real Canadian Spring water from Superstore

Phenomenal authentic Lebanese made food freshly made, and serve with just the right amount of portions, and more! I loved how we asked fie extra pickles, and extra garlic sauce, with no hummus, and sure enough, they delivered!

Decided to surprise my gf last night and check out this place.

- Good prices
- Good portion sizes
- Food tasted great

Downside:

I had garlic potatoes and a jumbo chicken wrap and it tasted great. Garlic sauce was a little much but still tasty. Almost within 20 minutes I felt fairly sick and bloated. About an hour or so later I erupted liquid from a place that shouldn’t emit liquid. Went to sleep, spent an hour on the toilet again in the morning and almost was late for work. The day goes on and I slowly feel better. Figured might have been something else cause the food was great.

However: Didn’t finish the potatoes and brought them home. Just had a steak and ate them with my leftover potatoes. Go to leave to ride and visit my dad. And within 30 minutes I was nauseous and again, erupting liquid from my backside. While they were serving I noticed the trays and dishes were piled up and didn’t seem to be very clean. Then while the man was serving another guest, some food got trapped under the serving dish hot plate. Couldn’t get it with tongs so he used his bare hands and lifted the plate and tossed the piece back into the tray. Right after I saw him come from the back and handle the register. Assuming I got food poisoning and the potatoes were probably contaminated or under the heat lamp for hours.

Sucks! Ruined my Saturday and my experience cause the vibes and food was good.

Sorry guys but just ruined my Friday and can’t go visit my dad now. Please do better for cleanliness and if the food is old maybe toss it.

The food tasted alright but we dined in and it was lukewarm at best. The garlic potato's and shawarma meat must have been sitting there for a while because they were also incredibly dry on top of being cold. Didn't hate it but certainly didn't really enjoy it.

Love their falafel and chicken shawarma. Their hummus is delicious too! Only thing I don't love is the fries but highly recommend.

I’m allergic cashews. Last night before ordering the chicken shawarma, I asked if any of the ingredients were made with cashews - the person taking my order said no. After eating half of the shawarma, I had an allergic reaction. If someone was anaphylactic, this could have been a life or death situation. It was a wonderful atmosphere, I just wish the person taking my order was aware of the ingredients in the food they are serving.

The beef and chicken shawarma were tasteless, rice wasn't cooked properly. The salad seems to be leftover. Overall it was an awful experience and I will never order from there again! I don't recommend it:)

I dont know why they are so cheap here, everytime me and my friends get the chicken plate and PAY for double chicken i kid you not they give you not even 2 oz of chicken with 4 cups of rice. Very cheap people and they charge ridiculous amounts on top of small portions.

Raises prices of their plates. Portions are small enough and you don't get much. I also felt sick right after I ate their food - shawarma was dry. Might as well go to bigger kebab spots if you want your fix, and if you want more food around the same price or lower.

Absolutly amazing food! Really got to hand it to Omar and Karim for making such beautiful and tasty art with food.
As well as their cheese case is like having a slice of heaven. I will definitely be coming back in the future.

First timer and all I can say is WOW, I was super impressed with their wraps.
We both had the mix- chicken and beef and it was so tasty, I was actually kind of sad when it was over.
Will definitely be back to try more of the menu.

Best shawarma I’ve ever had! Omar is the best and the sweetest. He sat down with us as we had lunch and we had a great taste of the middle eastern hospitality from the owner himself. Great tasting food with the chicken and beef shawarma plate, with great service. 10/10 would recommend and would go again!

Food was great.ordered a beef sharwarma plate but got a mix of both chicken and beef. Cant complain about the extra food! The cashier didnt speak and understand english so we did not want to confuse her even more by ordering extra items.

Had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Omar today! The food was amazing, we sampled a few items prior to ordering and were blown away. The garlic sauce is phenomenal, service was friendly and felt like home. Portions are massive and well priced. Best Shawarma in Edmonton! Great quality meat and vegetables.

We had a fantastic lunch from here today. The food was delicious & the staff were very kind and welcoming. We were also treated to baklava for dessert, thank you for that. We will definitely return here for another meal.

Most legitimate/ authentic shawarma and kebob I’ve had in Edmonton. Plenty of options you can’t go wrong, highly recommend as someone who’s eaten it all my life and have tried almost every shawarma spot in Edmonton. #1 on my list.

Best shawarma in Alberta and not just in Edmonton! Both beef and chicken shawarma are delicious! Highly recommended for shawarma lovers and sure will be back again and again whenever i visited Edmonton!

I highly recommend this restaurant, it's one of the best restaurants that I like.

Food:
Their food is so delicious and clean. I mainly go to have their falafel sandwich, kibbe, and shawarma. I have also tried their hummus, Baba Ghannouj, shish tawook, grape leaves. Love their food.

New sandwich:
We've also tried their new "Spicy morrocan chicken" sandwich which comes with a dip, and it turns to be so tasty "was a good decision we got it".

Staff:
Not to mention how amazing the staff are; all of them with no exception, hisham, karim, etc. They're so amazing, welcoming, respectful, friendly and beyond generous.

Authentic and original taste, excellent costumer service and fair prices. Went there with my husband and we were beyond satisfied, will repeat for sure.
Huge menu, you literally enjoy every item on it, quiet ambiance and clean place! RECOMMENDED

Absolutely everything on their menu will cause you to go back there again and again. Everything is made with an authentic Lebanese flavour! Each time we visit, they keep adding more and more new items to their menu! Have you tried their cheesecake? OMG. So heavenly good! And their lamb.oh wow! Their lamb by far is the most juicy, and it seems like its marinated in an authentic recipe of perfection!
I can't wait to go there again! #yummyumyum

Im only giving a five star because theres no 10. It was the best chicken shawarma i ever had. The owner was very polite and fast service. We will definitely be going back. Theres lots of parking easy to get into.

First time here and we enjoyed it.
Had lamb and chicken Shawarma with trio and it was so good. Lamb was cooked perfectly, Fries and garlic sauce are the best. The girl who served us was very polite and welcoming. We will be back

The first time I went to this restaurant approximately a month ago. I ordered chicken shawarma. It really was the best I have tasted in a very long time. I am not sure what happened Yesterday? Maybe a new chef? It still was good.

Expensive but worth it. The meat, the garlic spread, the hummus. No prob giving this place a 5 star review.

Shish Shawarma is one of the best places I’ve ate at for shawarmas in edmonton! The food is awesome and always fresh and the guys in the front are always so friendly and so happy! I always enjoy coming here! 5 stars for this great place!

Wrap was very dry. Not sure if they even added garlic sauce.

Beef was cold sitting in a silver tin, rice unflavorful. Only good thing was the garlic sauce. Unsatisfied. Go Basha Donair.

Updating my review today, after my experience on nov 1, got back after the owner apologized and offered me with another free order. I'm giving them 4 starts for the whole experience, specially the hospitality and customer care. And yes today was not salty and i got to taste the shawarma lol.

The Moroccan guy working in the front is not friendly at all, doesn’t know how to say hi or you’re welcome. Gravy is mediocre, got charged 22 bucks for a donair small poutine and a can of pop…

Never had a good tasting dish when ordering via the delivery options.

Very long wait time when going to pickup. Often seriously understaffed at peak hours.

The boys are great and food is great. The sojak donair is something special. Highly recommend the touak.

Their pickled veggies and hummus always stand out to me. So good. They're a bit pricey but usually worth it depending on how strong your craving is.

I know the shawarma is the star but the the fattoush salad is also really amazing. Owner Omar was super kind!

Went to this Lebanese restaurant for the first time last night and it is one of my new favourites. Ordered the chicken (breast) skewer and white rice. Both were absolutely delicious. Service was excellent as well. Will definitely be dining here again.

Got shish platters and shawarma platters. Food was excellent - best Lebanese in the city and portions are generous. Owners are hospitable. Plus located in great part of city to just sit and enjoy! Will be back!

This place was one of my favorite restaurant since i moved to Edmonton.the shawarma is always fresh and juicy, the staffs are very nice and friendly. In the oder hand one guy was working at the front when 10 people where lining up. I would really appreciate if the service was quicker:)

This is my go to resto whenever i crave mediterranean food. Everything is soo good and i love the okra from the special menu

Food is good, but the price is high and it took more than an hour for 2 kababs and they forgot the fries so i had to go back to pick up.

Went there this after noon to pick up a couple chicken shawarma wraps and a couple of containers of garlic sauce.well the manager was very friendly and when I got home ate a sandwich and it was so good! Used some of extra garlic sauce and it was so fluffy! Was nice to see that they took my past suggestion on their garlic sauce and now I could really taste the garlic! I wanted to eat it by the spoon full! Please do not change how you make it!

Had a team lunch with colleagues at work and we chose La Shish for the halaal option. The restaurant looked really impressive from the outside and the inside was good too but a tad bit small. The staff were warm but not overly accommodating (this is somewhat expected when you've had a somewhat busy day). Had my first taste of hummus and it tasted nice. I ordered the Alberta Lamb trio and it was quite filling. Meal is worthy of a 5-star rating, but I feel service could be improved on.

The driest chicken I've ever had in my life. Borderline inedible. I live nearby and my apartment building's lobby has some coupons and takeout menus. Presumably this is to get you in the door, get you to try it out, and hopefully come back. Well I hope you are happy with getting a single purchase from me because their attitude completely changed the moment I said I had a coupon. Either I got the oldest driest chicken they had because they didn't like I had a coupon, or their food is always that bad. Either way, I will never go back.

I tried this place when it first opened with the original owner. The portions are much smaller now and they use chicken that sits in the heating tray. You don't get the fresh slices off the rotating thing and finished it off in a frying pan like they used to. Anyways I got the chicken shwarma plate and the chicken was dry and bits that were tough and rubbery. Think the skinny part of a turkey drumstick that's overcooked. I had to eat a couple cloves of garlic just in case.

Food tastes amazing but the service is horrible. I phoned to file a complaint regarding an erorr only to be hung up on twice.

The food is delicious and service is fast and friendly. The portions on the platters are also quite generous.

Initial the place is small, you shouldn't judge it by how it looks,
Taste is great, the best Shawerma place in town, potions are good compared to price.

Very expensive for the portion they serve and also they got wrong the order twice and they just gave me a loyalty card which does not help at all

I really enjoyed this place. The falafel wrap was delish and so was the platter. The garlic potatoes would have been better fresh (they had clearly been sitting in a warmer) but they were still good. This hummus was also very good. I might go back just to buy hummus.

Small portions more money. I bought a poutine which was ready on 60 seconds and was cold fries no cheese and cold gravy. Shawarma was super small. Disappointed.

It gets worse and worse every time and portion size decreases every single time. They're cheap on portions - being careful not to give you too much of anything including lettuce when your meal costs almost $20. They also limit the options as to what you can put on your meal. The protein bowl portions are also a joke considering the price. Depending on who serves you also dictates your portion size.

Shawarma is good, as a homeboy who grew up with them, it tingles my nostalgia spot. Garlic potato's are great too.
However, make your shawarmas carefully, I heavily regret my poor choices.

Good food and awesome service! My first visit and the manager gave me a small sample plate to try. I ordered a Sahwarma combo wrap and enjoyed every bite! I will DEFINITELY be back. Edmonton is packed with restaurants that have good food, however, the service here puts this one above most! Good service is hard to find, thank you Lasish

The combo plate is so good, my husband and I get take out here all the time. I find it a little pricey for a takeout restaurant, but I keep coming back anyway which says a lot about the quality of the food.

Never disappointed at La Shish. I've been going on and off for years, and I always enjoy my meals there. The flavours within their food is so tasty and the portions continually leave me full (with some leftovers to spare)!
