I like the recent renovation they done and they have a good layout. The only thing that was annoying was that all of their computers to search thing were out of order so I had to go up front and wait in line to ask where a book was.
I've been in a few Indigo stores in the City and this one might be the nicest in terms of set up. It was a pleasure to shop in. They could have had a few more people available on the floor as I did have a question but ended up finding what I was looking for on my own after a bit of time.
With everything digitalized in the world, and books dwindling, this is one store, I'm surprised to still find lots of books. There is something magical about physical books, reading, and relaxing in a bookshop.
Loved this store, compared to other Indigo stores.
ESG and DIE meet customer satisfaction.and fail. Miserably.
Remember the days when people were hired based on their ability to do a job? Me too. Seems like those days are behind us.
Chapters / Indigo provides a prime example of hiring policies where incompetents run the show.
Simple story and short. I placed an online order. They charged me. Fine. Three weeks later I had to go looking (the online rigamarole) to see whether my book was ready to be picked up. It had been there for two weeks. Did I receive an e-mail notification or even a telephone call? No. When I wrote a note of complaint, they simply cancelled my order. Idiots. One simple transaction, not rocket science.
Wouldn’t be a big surprise it they go out of business. They’ve certainly lost mine.
Great store, but they have a lot of fluff and left-wing books, but i repeat myself. Only one side of the political spectrum (the left) is sold in any of these stores. They have a lot of woke sci-fi, and it's hard to find the mainstays like Robert Heinlien, Isaac Azimov, Frank Herbert, etc. They need to bring in authors from the other end of the political spectrum like Neema Parvini, Paul Gottfried, Bertrand de Jouvenal, Arnold Toynbee, Oswald Spengler for history. For Sci Fi authors like Vox Day, John C Wright, Jerry Pournelle, A E Van Voght.
To find a book, there is the place, as well, they have very diverse of things that you don't find in any other store. Nice to pick a good present for some one special
So much product - for adults AND kids! Books - yes and yes - but also calendars, socks, clothing g for tots, stuffed, games, magazines and so much more! All of this in an inviting, beautifully bright space! I LOVE this store!
Selection becoming less and less each time I go there. Seems like books are giving way to mugs, blankets and other trinkets. Thanks to Amazon I think bookstores will become a thing of the past.
Big, bright, beautifully merchandised store. The layout is easy to manage, sections are very clear and their selection is excellent. They were unfortunately sold out of what I wanted but was a treat to see such a well maintained store. My only issue is that there's no longer a Starbucks location in the store. This was one of the best things about shopping here, very sad to see it closed.
Alway great people happy to help there. I still support them by buying chapters gift cards there at the store that I use to buy online books through chapters indigo kobo. Support your local biz if u can.
Everyone was kind and helpful. I went for a recipe book/binder. They only had 1 so not a lot of options, but I liked it so it worked out. And there were no lines, everything was clean and organized, so it was overall a great experience.
I totally get that you close the bathrooms because they are harder to clean during covid, but maybe you could consider making an exception for pregnant women and parents with small children. I only came her because I placed an online order that wasn't even shipped after 10 days, so I canceled it and drove for 20 minutes to the store, got the stroller out, got the baby out, went in the store, realized we needed to find a restroom immediately and was told it was closed so we drove 20 minutes back home without even getting our book. I try not to order EVERYTHING from Amazon but when it's this inconvenient it's hard not to.
Great store and atmosphere. A wide variety of printed material coupled with many other interesting items for the home or kitchen. Conveniently has a Starbucks if you need that caffeine fix. Parking easy and ample.
Store inventory said that had two copies of the book I was looking for but could not find it anywhere. On the positive side, the employee who I asked assistance went above and beyond the call of duty trying to first locate the book and then explaining my options and calling other stores to see if we cold locate. Ended up ordering it online from Chapters. Four stars and kudos to the employee for excellent customer service.
Great location as I stepped in after a movie at Landmark and found a couple really great books in their clearance section. I like that each location is set up differently because then you can find something unique on your way to find a book you really want. The staff was really nice as well
Undeniably The store to find your favorite author, and the staff will look up your book or author on their computer to make sure they have in stock or another store that does; as they did yhat for me when I went looking for Lee Childs first book and got sent to a different store to find it, so that was a definite bonus!
This place is like the best book stores i love it and I always find the books I’m looking for the people that work there are amazing so haters can back of because there is nothing to hate about
Has most of what you'd expect from a chapter or indigo, but a bit harder to find what you're looking for and less in the way of electronic products. Great staff and of course clean and welcoming.
I had a worst customer experience during my visit. Went to Chapters-Shawnessy to buy Dogman Series books. I ask the sales rep if they can price-match the price of Mastermind Toys which is 25% less. They answered a Hard No! So, I went to Mastermind toys just across Chapters and went out very much satisfied. When at Chapters, i did not experience such an excellent customer satisfaction that I had when I was at Mastermind Toys. I am planning to retire my Plum Loyalty Rewards, I did registered with mastermind loyalty program. Looks like there is no reason for me to be loyal to Chapters if they continue to act that way. Im giving just one star as they don't have a price match program, which ia very unsual in Canada I am giving the remaining 4 stars to Mastermind Toys (Photo taken outside the mastermind toys, just across the Chapters)
We love this store. I would like to see a bigger selection of certain genre's. The store itself is starting to show it's age and could use a little refresh. The staff is friendly and helpful.
Amazing, great place. They literally have every book I want. I love reading about history and science fiction and I have bought books several times from chapters. The Starbucks is also great here.
This Chapters is really clean and well organised. The kids area is pretty well stocked with a wide variety of books and toys.
They have household items along with a huge selection of adult books and games.
The staff are really helpful and knowledgeable. Prices are what you would expect from a bookstore but they have some great discount sections that are worth checking out.
Parking can be hard to find if it is a weekend because they share a parking lot with a movie theatre.
Love It! This store is spacious and well laid out. Attached to a Starbucks. Always has something I want to buy. Usually a good discount rack. Love the style in home decor and purse/scarves.
My kids love this Chapters for a "date with Mom". We'll grab something from Starbucks, and roam the store for a couple hours. Also a great place to buy gifts
