The bookstore is huge! I always find what I'm looking for, or not looking for Such great staff as well I've gone in a few times for online pickup and they seem really organized. I love browsing the local author section and seeing the product displays they take so much care in putting together definitely prefer this location to some of their others (Millwoods TC Coles for example)
Only one staff member was friendly and helpful The ladies at the front clearly hate their job. Also refusing some face coverings and giving people attitude when they pull the "wrong" mask down to put the "right" one on. Won't be returning to this indigo.
Very rude, non accommodating staff in covid times. I was asked to leave the store with a 2 year old in the winters. We didn’t have a car to return to or have gloves as my husband dropped us off and was supposed to pick us up in half an hour so we had to wait outdoors in the harsh winters. The reason was that my 2 year old needs to have a mask on all the time while in the store. My 2 year old had a mask on (adult mask given by one of the staff members) but wanted to eat cookies so he couldn’t keep it on and took his mask out. At the very moment an employee came running to us as my 2 year old has committed a crime by not wearing a non fitted adult mask and asked us to leave the store. When I told the manager that even province has exceptions for people who can’t keep their masks on physically, I was told that Indigo has their own private policy. Too bad your policy doesn’t align with the province and the federal government in these trying times for all of us. Anyways, you have lost business from for us forever and I do not recommend your company. We have visited all the big brand stores, airplanes, federal and provincial government offices in the covid times and no one has FORCED a mask on a 2 year old. Too bad too sad for you indigo and the employees.
Very clean. Helpful friendly staff. Even though they were put of one book of the series they had another my daughter wanted and staff was great to help quickly to tell us locations that have it
Amazing place. I go whenever i am feeling low and always find peace in books. Also can find all the books i need. Starbucks is just another advantage to this wholesome place
It's almost like any other store, but theres a catch. They decided to have a limit of people to roam the store. Which often creates a line up at the front of the establishment. It's the only store that I've been too that does that. It's annoying, especially if you go out at 6: 00pm to get a christmas present for a loved one. And as a result, you're body tempurature drops because of the line. It really depends how many people are shopping for a book that evening. Sure there is Covid-19, but I think wearing a mask (like every other establishment) is enough to fight against Covid-19. I don't know why, and I don't care. But just get rid of the dumb line and your store becomes tolerable.
In the past I loved coming to this location. It is beautifully set up and has a huge variety of books. The staff were also always helpful and kind. That is why I am reluctant to give this location only 1 star. Our experience today was anything but kind.
We both walked into the store wearing the face coverings that we have been using since the pandemic has started. At the door my boyfriend got told by one of the workers that his face covering isn't acceptable. We were pretty annoyed about it (especially because we have never had any issues in different stores in the past) but continued on.
That same employee that at first told us about the unacceptable face covering also ended up finding us inside to tell us to hustle up due to people waiting to get into the store. It made us feel unvalued and again very frustrated.
While we were there we ended up spending around $250 between the both of us. Which in hindsight I am regretting now. I don't want to support a store that doesn't value all their customers.
I understand that your employees are only doing their job however, we are paying customers and honestly are a bit resistant to return to this location. We don't like being told to hurry up especially when spending a larger sum of money for the products.
Went to Indigo a few weeks ago and I have a medical condition and can not wear a mask. I could not even get through the front doors, the girl guarding the door was rude and impertinent. Not impressed but the lack of kindness and the tone I was talked to, used to be my favorite store but not anymore. Sorry Indigo, you have lost a customer.
Great selection of books and parenting guides. Staff, Jaymee in particular, was very kind and helpful in expanding the scope of related books based off ones that I'm interested in.
Its like millennial book lover's heaven, I love it! The environment is so lovely and calm, yet not making you drowsy. Even the asthetics is lovely, not too much, but not ugly either. It's just happiness that surrounds you when you walk in, you wont want to leave.
Even with the line up due to covid, they will take your name and text you when it's your turn so you don't have to wait in the cold. Also, the wait was incredibly short as they had ppl in and out in a really short amount of time.
I found the staff to be rude and demanding. I went in to exchange a Christmas gift but chose to take the funds back and buy the item on Amazon due to the interaction with a staff member.
They were very helpful. My daughter needed a book to help her with English 10-1. She was surprised at how much helpful extra information they had that she wasn't expecting. Great buy.
This is one of my favourite places to introduce children to reading books. For 13 years I have gone there on a regular basis (at least twice a week) with each of my 3 grandchildren. They still all love Indigo. The selection of books is amazing. The selection of toys/ games is excellent. The staff are attentive and helpful. Having Starbucks there is a bonus!
Very welcoming and Friendly staff. I totally enjoy going to this bookshop. Every member of this indigo store is so helpful and friendly. I went to find ged book and the sales woman was so helpful and nice. I truly enjoy my every visit at this store.

This location has hands down the best customer service from all of my experiences shopping at Indigo/Chapters across the country. Staff are so positive and friendly and eager to help if needed.
We spent hours and hours here-after school, work, Sunday afternoon! Kid friendly, a place to relax with the family. It’s more than a bookstore, it’s our happy place!
