This has always been my favorite location. I'm not too familiar with the business section since I've mostly stuck to the self help and fiction section. Daniel was really helpful in locating the book "Rich Dad, Poor Dad". Luckily there was one more left. The cashier that helped me change my email was also very pleasant.
Love chapters/indigo But I think staff need to work on communication. I called the other day and asked a lady who worked there to put a book on hold for me (they had 3 left). I told her I’d be there between 7-7: 30 pm. She told me she got all the info needed and put it on hold. I rush there after work and go to the till…. They can’t find it and there was none left in stock. Not too sure what happened if there was a lack of communication or something. Love this store but kinda irked by this experience.
Good bookstore unless it's on a controversial subject, in that case they might just blacklist you and refuse to stock your book. I love it when bookstores (chains) get involved in politics.
The hotel is good. Breakfast is very nice. My only concern is that if your are going to work avoid Saturday night, as the ubs next to it are so noisy. I couldn't sleep after a long journey by plane.
Staff was rude. Had an issue with my mask. And before I could fix it thet were escorting me out of the store the staff touched me. And yelled at me. Very unprofessional will never go to a chapter's again
This store is surprisingly small compared to other Indigo stores I have been to. They don't have as much variety but still a decent place to shop basic things.
Lots of selection! So many good books. Me and my friend had a hard time finding the book we were looking for, and the same fellow helped us find the book (even though it was right in front of us). I'm excited to read the books I got! I like their sections of trending books, or books by theme, so I can find something even if I don't know what I'm looking for.
Not that much of a selection (comparison to other chapters), I believe reason is the area of the store. But still fairly well organized and I found what I wanted to read.
The employees at this location are all so incredibly helpful! Came here this Sunday looking for squishmallows (hehe) and the staff made finding them a breeze. Best customer service I’ve seen in awhile. The girl allowing guests to enter and leave at the front could have been friendlier.but I definitely understand how that position can get boring.
I love the bookstore, it's my happy place. My rating is so low because when I arrived the associate at the door letting people in and out gave what I'm assuming is her regular little greeting "speech" but part of that was saying to keep your mask over your nose, which was actually a little insulting as someone who was and always has worn my mask properly. I dunno it just really rubbed me the wrong way.
I always have bought my books at this store, but when I recently did a in-store pickup for an online order, one of the books had a prominent utility knife cut through the cover including a few pages. Keep in mind all the books I ordered was available in the store. Sad to experience an inconvenience that could have been easily solved when my order was being fulfilled. Got it exchanged at the Westside store though.
This store’s Covid protocols are more so a cop-out than actual safety measures.
They won’t let you come in if you bring a drink in wether it be a coffee, baby bottle, water bottle, etc. That being said you’re welcome to touch absolutely anything in the store.
Their bathrooms are also closed. After a year of covid, you’d think they’d loosen this rule but, I just see it as one less thing they have to pay staff to do.
It is now more than books. Cute journals, calendars and many gifts related to enjoying your reading times. This includes blankets and warm socks. Always love going there once a week for more reading material and viewing new products.
Typical cookie cutter Chapters, good in every usual way but. You'd think for a store with so few customers, they'd treat the few they did have a bit better. My sons and I were followed around the children's area and when my son slipped his nose out of his mask, he was immediately snapped at and told " keep your mask over your nose, I'm not going to tell you again". There is a way to say something.and THAT is not it. We put down our things and left. We will shop elsewhere.
Was good to shop there & the person who helped me was very good. Glad I did go there! One of the only places I found that had the book I needed for school.
Normally love going to chapters and getting multiple books to take home to enjoy. The experience I had from this location and a certain staff member was awful. Will not be back.
I am so happy and lucky that we have a huge bookstore on the west end. I have been going to this indigo (chapters) for probably 20 years and love browsing. Staff has always been very helpful and book organization has made it easy to find what you're looking for. My wife buys non book items like pillows, journals, glasses. Lots of random interesting things for sale here as well
They have a large selection of books, very friendly employees, and an overall organized and clean store. The only downside I feel is that some of the things in the store are overpriced.
Awesome costumer service. The is always someone close by for great suggestions. A bit ago I was looking for Patty MaCords Powerful and staff helped me find it very quickly.
This location it really neat, the kids are with American girl is very fun. The floor plan makes bit very easy bro find what you are looking for. Adm as all chapters and insignia the staff are always so sweet
Has some of the best selection of the Chaoters/Indigo locations in the city. Staff are friendly and numerous, always eager to help. I also particularly appreciate the proximity to Starbucks, as coffee and browsing books go nicely together.
This place is huge! I love the selection of books and cute home items. Having it in the mall is so convenient. We visited just before Christmas and the store was busy but there staff handled it like a boss. Even when its busy we never felt rushed and all the staff was so nice and friendly. Well definitely be back.
This store also has American Girl. The whole store has a great selection of Good Reads as well as a Starbucks for a coffee while browsing and sitting and reading a book.
Well stocked store with very helpful and friendly staff. They have an integrated Starbucks and beautiful, large children's section. It is awesome to have an Indigo inside West Edmonton Mall!
Got great books and it’s easy to locate. The location is right near the sea lions rock and park. I would’ve loved if there was a tiny place to get a coffee inside but it’s a big place with lots of good books
Love this store. You can buy more than books! Random other trinkets. The books are plentiful too, though. If you get a membership, you rack up points with everything you buy and get a discount. Love the cozy atmosphere. Great place to chill and look at books. You'll always leave with a new one.
The staff is very helpful, and found a book for me that was misplaced in the store.last copy too! Very happy with the service. I think the person who assisted me was Mich? Mica? He was a really great help to me and made my trip to Edmonton that much better!
