Stay far away from this facility. I've had a cortisone shot done three times at Canada Diagnostics Centre just north of WEM and two were performed in my SI joint and one in the spine. All three were virtually painless. I was booked here Sept 26th at 08: 00 and I had the shot done to my SI joint. I've never felt pain like that before. The Dr that performed it was preoccupied talking to the nurses. When he came to me he stuck me three times with a needle to numb the area, that really hurt and not even 5 seconds later he jabbed me with the cortisone needle and I got to experience pain like nothing before. I will never get my cortisone shots from Insight again and I would advise others to do the same. They never even told me the Dr's name. Not impressed at all. My leg now hurts, thats never happened before either. He was careless and impatient. Go to Canada Diagnostics, they are awesome.
Went to the Unity Square Insight location for a pain management injection in one of my knees. I was very impressed with the operation of this clinic and the professional level of every employee that I came in contact with, from the reception desk people to the ladies who escorted me to the x-ray and fluoroscopy depts.to the radiologist and the doctor and his assistant who administered the injection. A 10 out of 10 for this clinic and it's employees.
Actually it was a close friend of mine who I was with whom had managed to get in just merely on a last minute walk in. I was shocked at the fact that he was seen so quickly and how helpful the staff were.
I go to Insight for mammograms but recently went for pain management. Compared to another place I went last year, they are 5 stars for sure. Friendly, fast procedure and close to my home.
I got an appointment quickly, barely had to wait in the waiting room, all the staff were professional and kind, my ultrasound tech was gentle and thorough. Definitely a good experience and I would recommend this location to anyone.

Terrible. Had the worse experience here. I had my 26 week ultrasound with this place. The technician had me lay on the bed, flat on my back. I told the technician I was having a hard time breathing but she kept telling me 5 more minutes and she would adjust the bed. This went on for 45 minutes and I had a panic attack during the ultrasound, not only did she NOT stop but she also kept pushing very hard on my stomach to the point I thought something might be wrong with my babies. As my belly was VERY sore. I told her this also, she did not care. I will never go back, definitely staying with MIC imaging.
Specifically sites at Castledowns and also Hermatige both in Edmonton. I would highly recommend both these sites as the staff in both locations both are caring and helpful to patients. They went above and beyond by accommodating my needs by finding and rearranging my appointment times today to speed up my testing. Special thanks to Adrian, and the manager at Castledowns and Stephanie at Hermatige!
Be prepared to need a couple of days before you can get an appointment. You can't get through by phone, can't make an appointment online and when you request for a call back you get called back outside of office hours, when you're not close to a phone and they will not leave a message.
Contrary to the response below, the Oct 27 call back was placed at 8: 46 AM, in my book that's outside business hours.
I went to this place for an ultrasound today. A young lady led me into an ultrasound room. She put gel on my neck and then started her "practice" on my neck for at least 45 minutes. Finally, she said, "I will let another technician to check the images and she might need to add some photos again". Then another young lady came in, put gel on my neck and basically did the whole procedure again but much more familiar and faster. She finished in 15 minutes. Then she said it was done. So I became their trial "mouse" for 45 minutes with the first new or student technician. I wasted 45 minutes of my life and absorbed extra radiation. Nobody explained or apologized. I will never come back to this place!
It would be a welcome relief to find some intelligence at work at a medical imaging centre, but you won’t find it here, although you can listen to the reception staff gossip while they push papers from one side of their desk to another then charge you a $30 fee to print a few pages. Looking for expertise with better service? Take your order to MIC.
I went to unity square today. It was a very positive experience. All staff are marvellous. But the Dr who performed my procedure was above and beyond excellent! I was extremely nervous, as I had previously been to Meadowlark for the same procedure, and it was very, very, painful and unpleasant. How wonderful to be able to go next time without any fear! Well trained and knowledgeable staff. Quick intact from reception to waiting room. Technicians are respectful and kind. Appointment availability can be improved. This is a downtown location and serves a large community so book ahead! But the location makes it worthwhile.
Such a nice, welcoming clinic! Makes you feel like you're going to a spa, and the technician was really nice. Definitely coming back here for future check-ups!
As a disabled person I was treated poorly. As well as one appointment time moved and another cancelled without explanation. Staff were not kind in dealing and explaining. No accommodations were made for patient safety and concerns. Disabled people would like independence and not having to bring advocates and social workers for simple procedures.
I went in for an ultrasound and was informed it would take 2-3 days for my physician to receive it. I called 3 times and for my paperwork to be faxed over. Workers are not sincere and have poor customer serves.
I've been a long time user of insight. Scheduled appointments are always timely. Staff is warm and receptive. Walk in patients are also seen in a timely fashion. Results were quickly delivered to my Doctor which is great because I need a follow-up with her based on the results.
My husband, John, had an appointment for nuclear medicine and both Quincy and Alasdair were absolutely fabulous! It was almost a pleasure being there but, we hope not to have to go again any time soon.:)
I took my daughter for an ultrasound. They informed multiple times to be on full bladder and get the test done without washing any time in waiting. All of them was highly appreciative of difficulty to hold on with full bladder. Good job Insight.
From the start with the greeting from the gentleman asking me the Covid-19 related questions to the front desk lady confirming my info and etc till the lady that did my work on me she kept me SMILING the whole time you all totally awesome there service was awesome thanks for making my day. I usually feel very uncomfortable in any medical facility but the technician Giselle was extremely polite, compassionate and professional during my visit which made the experience apleasure.
Nice staff, appointment went quick and very smoothly. Convenient location in Oliver Square and the interior decoration and layout of the clinic was very aesthetically pleasing. Great experience:)
Finding the clinic and the parking was great. Loved the staff, all friendly and smiles are contagious. If I have more X-rays or scans I’d come back here again for sure.

The lady doing the Covid screening was bubbly and had good vibes. Reception was really nice and friendly. The x-ray technician was perfect.
Dr. Olson and his assistant Alex were awesome. DR. Olson is a cool.person it seems. He has a good sense of humor. Painless cortisone procedure so very talented.
Alex accommodated the change in procedure with a great attitude. I live in the SW of the city but will only come to this location (Oliver) for the great staff and just general positive experience from now on!
This place marks all the boxes. The only thing I was dissatisfied with was trying to make a call to book an appointment with their central booking. I never did get through, told to leave call back number and I would be called when next in cue.that never happened. Two days later I went directly to the clinic to book an appointment. It was easy and my exam was booked for the next day. Past experience with any central booking line is a joke. You can be guaranteed a “I’m sorry to hear that “. However nothing changes with central bookings. You can’t blame covid, it was like this prior to Covid.
Oliver site is very clean, friendly, and professional the nuclear tech was very informative about what I was going to have done, the x-ray tech was not I know we have bad days and they are busy that is why only 4 stars other than that I would definitely recommend going to that location
I walked in there pretty much afraid. Of course it had absolutely nothing to do with the imaging. My fear for needles is paramount. Dr Oy and her girls, they are such beautiful, wonderful people. They made my visit stressed free and it felt like a walk in the park on a lovely day. I am happy that it was my first choice, and I would go there again in a heartbeat. Thanks guys
Appointment was on time. Place was very clean and following Covid health guidelines, Chairs were sanitized in waiting room when I waited to be called in. Staff at door, reception desk and technologist (Lauren) were all friendly and very helpful during my first visit
Insight Medical Imaging at Oliver Square location (Edmonton) is a great facility. Extremely clean and hygienic. The administrative staff are doing their best to serve the patients in the challenging COVID-19 times. The technologists are quite caring and thoroughly professional. I give it a top rating.
31 Week Ultrasound-An absolutely terrible experience. Our excitement quickly diminished to utter disappointment. My wife and I figured this would be an amazing opportunity to see our baby since she was so close to delivery. The technician positioned the screen in such a manner that only she could see the baby. She, not once, explained what she was looking at our what she was doing. Her attitude was very stale and unwelcoming. A cavity check would have felt less awkward. Once finished she only allowed us a few seconds to view the baby and what she showed us was very limited. We had to ask about weight and heartrate and the pictures she provided were very basic profile pics of the baby's head. We've been to other Insight's before and this location is giving the others a bad reputation.
Had my X-ray from this branch. Friendly staff and great facilities. Expect to spend some extra time if they got a long queue since this is a walk-in clinic. Love their music:)
Don’t go for pregnancy ultrasounds. Their policy is not to give you any information so I went for my dating ultrasound and not only did they manage to make it impersonal but they also wouldn’t tell me my due date. Wasted my time by being 20 minutes late (with a painfully full bladder every second counts) to begin with and now I have to go to my doctor in a week to find out. I called to file a complaint (because there were a number of concerns that arose from my appointment) and spoke with the Patient Care Coordinator and while she was good she of course stood behind their policy but I think it’s ridiculous to not give the mother her estimated due date. I cancelled my future appointments and I’m definitely going to go to MIC for my future ultrasounds. This way my husband and I will actually be included in the special moment of seeing our baby. MIC was great for my last pregnancy!
I am feeling terrible booked an appointment 1 month ago, got a 6 dec date, called many times to get earlier aptnmt but no luck n today i receive msg as my appointment is 7th December. I am not even feeling to call these people, what is this I am getting after 1 month of wait?
