Instamek booked me to have my winter tires put on today and didn’t even bother to tell me that my service was cancelled because their mechanic was hurt and they had no replacement. I wasted my whole day off waiting for them! They have no problem charging you a hefty fee for not being available for your appointment, but they don’t have the consideration to cancel or reschedule. I am so mad I will never use this company again.

You never know what you’ll get when it comes to service and mechanics. I have to say this was an A+ experience. Tristen (mechanic) was great. Job was done in less then a 24 hour turnaround:)

I will never again use instamek. They couldn't show up as scheduled for any of my appointments. Then came the repeated text messages trying to get me to book for services I don't need or want.

Instamek appeared to offer excellent service. They agreed to pay special attention to the frame of a tacoma that I was interested in. They reported that the frame was in good shape and there were no issues. I called to confirm. I bought the truck and took it to another mechanic to have work done right after. Turns out there is a nickle size hold in the frame, right where I asked instamek to look and several other soft spots. Instamek apologized for missing that, and refunded my inspection cost, but I have a vehicle with a rotten frame. I will not be using instamek again.

Josh was polite, early and did the job very quickly. I had some additional questions about my vehicle he was able to answer while he was working on it. I will use this service again.

In Feb 21,2023 my car won’t start. I found Instamek on line and gave them a call. Spoke with Francisco and he was supper helpful and I got same day service. Dominic a very friendly and knows what he is doing arrived even earlier than my appointment to my house got me new battery and I was set to go! Thanks for coming and installing new battery Dom, on the cold snowy day! Much appreciated your help.

My mech Dom was fast friendly and even 15 min early for appointment, as the owner of a delivery company for 20+ years I have rarely used a better company and never a more honest and professional mechanic! I give this company a double thumbs up!

This outfit is a lifesaver. My car died at 8, Josh was there by 10, fixed it in 15 minutes. Friendly, efficient.

The person who was interested in buying my car paid to InstaMek for an inspection. The results were not accurate since they said the car had the code P0841. The car has never given a symptom of this issue and besides there is not a check engine light on. My husband has a scanner and he performed it and the results said NO DTC are presently store in vehicle's computer. With this miss results the deal dropped. So be careful with this company!

Josh was very friendly and overall awesome! Came to my house within 20 mins of calling Instamek! He was able to diagnose the problem in 5 mins, and he gave me multiple solutions to the problem:) Very great service & will use Instamek in the future if ever needed!

I got to work had a low tire, used my auto air compressor to start to fill my tires, but I did it while car was turned off. Car then decided to shut down, would not start. I found instmek online I tried them and they said they could send a mechanic the same day, and they would come to where I worked to replace battery (and no I didn’t replace a perfectly good battery, the battery was 7 years old) at 2pm. They sent me the name of the mechanic that would come. About a hour later Josh phoned and asked if he could come earlier then scheduled, he came 2 hours early. There was a mix up on batteries, which Josh took care of right away and still got my car finished before my actual appointment. I would definitely recommend Instamek, and would happy to have Josh work only car again. Josh was polite, friendly and wanted to make sure the job was done right. Two thumbs up to Josh and Instamek!

Josh arrived exactly when he was scheduled to. He was friendly, knowledgeable and answered all my questions. I’ll be sure to ask for him again should the need arise.

Great experience with them. David did a pre-purchase inspection on a car I was looking to get and I'm grateful I got one done. With InstaMek, the mechanics went to the shop and did an inspection and I didn't have to be there. David also hopped on a call and explained the report and answered any questions I had. David in Calgary came within a couple hours (lucky!) and performed a quick brake assessment.
He quickly solved the issue.
I'm not sure folks have heard much about this mobile mechanic service - but I highly recommend them and will be calling them again should I need a hand.

The mechanic David came to my home yesterday was early, friendly, and answered my questions. Very happy with David’s work.

We called instaMek due to my jetta not starting. By 9am that morning David arrived and diagnosed the problem for us! The service was prompt, communication was great, and David was very kind and professional. I highly recommend their service!

Booked through them for a timing belt replacement, and at first thought the convenience and good pricing was attractive.

What could have been a very straightforward process has devolved into a two week endeavour, and I am left without repairs at the 11th hour due to their disorganization.

Being spammed constantly with quotes and requests for booking, having had to reschedule because they didn’t have the right tools (the mechanic didn’t even look at the service procedure for the work he was doing until an hour before the job) and finally being cancelled on because the mechanic didn’t ring or knock on my door when he arrived… half an hour early.

Although the convenience factor makes this seem like a good service, I would’ve been in a much better place if I’d just gone to a shop.

Our car was having some major electrical issues. We ordered a service for this morning and even with a last minute appt, David showed up early! He was polite and knowledgeable, and explained what he was doing. Great first experience and would highly recommend this service. Thanks again!

I had Instamek come to my home as my car had an issue I wasn’t confident driving with. They sent David Peacock as my “Mek”, and I was very impressed by the time he spent to truly diagnose my issue. He took a second to look up the car and the issue so he could really give me an idea of what was going on. This was pleasantly surprising as usually I have not had that experience where they really go above and beyond to help you out. Also, price was very comparable to a Can Tire type mechanic (but I didn’t have to leave my property, so that’s a huge bonus).

Overall, I had a very good experience with Instamek and David, and I give 5 stars!

Great automobile repair and maintenance services conveniently provided at your own doorstep. They also provide amazing discounts for their Prime subscription members. Their service is efficient and well-coordinated. Their evaluation of the automobile and their suggestions for maintenance or repairs are very good. The mechanics who come and provide the services are highly experienced and do a great job.

David the instamek mechanic assigned to check out the issues I was having with car was great, diagnosed and fixed the issue quickly. Also made it out on short notice… second time using instamek and very happy with the service. Would recommend.

Phenomenal service, highly recommend, I was helped by David and he went above and beyond by telling me everything I needed to know about my vehicle.

Needed routine fluids maintenance (oil change, clutch, brake fluid, rear diff, transfer case). They said they were unable to quote any of these unless I contracted for one of their 'standard' maintenance packages first, at which point the tech would quote everything else only after arrival. I think this is a bit disingenuous since these are not repairs of unknown scope; they are routine items that would apply to many vehicles, barely more complex than an oil change. Ended up not using them since they were not able to support my needs.
Per reply: I'm perfectly willing to accept your opinion on the necessity of repairs. It's the cost I'm interested in, and I think I deserve to know that up front.

I called instaMek today to have my brakes inspected as I had some concerns. Despite having no appointments available for the next two days, the Customer Service Representative I spoke to went above and beyond to get someone out to me within 2 hours. David was my mechanic; he was professional and very personable. He also explained everything to me thoroughly and was very helpful in answering my questions. Thank you David!
