I mostly come here for the pre-made sandwiches, which are great. Sometimes the bread is too crusty.feels like it wasn't wrapped quick enuf but most of the time it's crunchy and still soft. Groceries are a bit more expensive than standard grocery store but everything is really fresh.
I've had coffee meetings here for years. Recently, over the past number of months, I have not had a chance to get back here. I will soon I hope. Great coffee and snacks. I've had a sandwich here and it was good too.
My only let down is that there isn't a great outdoor option.
One of my favorite sandwhiches in the city. The hot flavoured cold cut comes right a tomatoe spread, several different deli meats, some cheese and some herbs. One of the best value sandwhiches in the city at ten bucks and the cookies, pastries and croissants are not bad and quite cheap to get as well!
If you want authentic, just-like-Italy (Naples) pizza, this is the place! We always order the Calabrese, and add fresh arugula on top. A must-have whenever I’m in Edmonton. The crema coffee is a great cold coffee treat, too! Benissimo!
If you are anywhere near this place you NEED to stop and check it out; my first time there and it will be a regular stop from here on out! Awesome! 5/5
I found the store with its variety of foods extraordinary especially the cheeses. Washrooms were easy to find. Maybe I went at the wrong time, 11 o'clock, it was quite busy. I had a coupon for a free donut. So I went to the Cafe area and waited in line a while. With some doing I got the donut and also ordered a Cafe mocha and ended up getting two. But the Cafe itself seems nice and clean and the patio was very nice on a mild October day.
I had the most stressful rude disrespectful experience today dealing with one worker here that his poor customer service experience seemed to be under the ground can’t use technology isn’t a problem but having to decide whether to welcome clients or kick them out without even bothering to ask his superiors Too lazy to work Too cranky to deal with Too snobby to even talk Will never ever go there How he treat me today is such an excessive drama he could just void if he just use his brain a bit to solve it Saying at the end im sorry After he find out he was wrong from the beginning To whoever rick or nick thanks again for treating your clients like that What a joke having you there
The new Covid Restrictions for those from out of Province just so you can get take out is a bit much.coffee is excellent and breakfast sandwich was delicious.
A European bakery and Grocery store in the heart of west edmonton. They carry a large variety of European goods like pickles, olives, deli meat and cheese. They also have a huge variety of baked goods like cannoli, cheesecake, portugese tarts and donuts!
Pre ordered and PREPAID for pizzas @Spinellis. Got them for appointed time I'd be there. Got there a little early so we thought to add to the pizzas a couple of biscottis. They brought to the cashier so i would pay when I'll take our pizzas. When pizzas arrived, they wanted me to go back in a long lineup to pay for the biscotti? Cierra, who took my order and tried her best to help with a great attitude deserves kudos. That the reason they get any stars. Not being able to accomodate a customer that you require to PREPAY for your pizzas, left this customer's experience bleak.
Italian centre shop is the place to go if you're looking for authentic Italian food, cheese, delicious meat, bistro style food bar area for dine in or take out and coffee, fresh pizza dough, delicious baked goods and snacks, the store can be busy but it's well organized and easy to find items, check it out for yourself there's 5 locations as follows:
Beautiful shop. Lovely people. Busy! I was disappointed with the In-Store baked goods, too sweet with little flavor or texture. Outside of that, it's well worth a return visit for the grocery section.
Great tasting food, friendly staff, huge selection, and amazing quality. Can't really ask for more. We typically pick up a few of the pre made sandwiches here a few times a month. Just make sure to go early as they typically run out by mid to late afternoon. Desserts are also a nice treat.
Love the Italian Cake, and had to drive to West all the way from North end since the downtown bakery was still temporary out of service, probably due to the pandemic. And, I found this place very busy as usual like other Italian shopping centers. Lively, and great to see crowds inside and out right at the exit of COVID-19 pandemic. I could give 5* had not be the waiting to get served, but it worth anyways.
Such an amazing grocery story, tones of fresh food also some hard to find items normal grocery stores don't have. The bakery is second to none, the desserts.oh my god I wanna eat them all. The Deli has so many delicious meats as well as Olives. If you need a specialty cheese this is the place for you.
I love checking out what the Italian Centre has to offer! There are so many products in this store that I cannot find anywhere else in the city. I personally love the atmosphere and learning about Italian culture when I come to this location. It is a treat to order deli meats as the staff are very knowledgeable, giving me the opportunity to learn from them about Italian food and culture. I appreciate that the centre has fresh figs available, and my favorite thing to purchase is the in house fresh pizza dough- it is packaged in a clear baggy, enough dough for a personal size pizza. The crust is delicious tasting and texture, it also bakes well with any kind of topping. The cakes in store are also delicious with a big shout out to the black forest cake, as well as the cannoli's- the pistachio is a must try!
Customer service is very poor. The employee at the restaurant look at me on the eye while I was standing in the queue just walked away and continue the work that she was doing. Aren’t you going to address and welcome your customer who made an effort to get in the shop instead of doing what you were doing? I get closer to the counter and asked a question and she didn’t bothered answering. Wow, unreal. The other lady who just finished making a latte help me instead.
This place is great. It has a huge variety of just about anything you need to make great meals, authentic Italian or not. They have a great little cafe inside with a patio outside and the prices are fair. The customer Emma service is outstanding. This should be your next stop for great food and service.
Picked up a chocolate cheesecake for an office Birthday. Just.absolutely WOW. This.is what cheesecake should taste like.homemade.from scratch.not assembly line, and boring. Thank you. Italian Centre Shop for a scrumptious dessert. We will be back.
Update: April 3/21 Great bread, meat and cheese selection. Staff are very helpful and polite. And if a customer feels like an expresso or latte and pastry, tables to sit and chat are available (not currently available but takeout is).
Wonderful establishment. I love the Spinelli family history and their contributions to this city. They are adhering to Covid protocols. Parking can be a challenge due to its proximity to West Edmonton Mall. Also, product pricing may be a challenge for some but you do get what you pay for.
Always a favorite place to go since I was a very young boy. Almost all your grocery needs and then some. The food has expanded and improved a great deal since my first visit over 35 years ago. Now they have more locations and a very extensive menu to choose from.
Sandwiches are awesome, pizza is awesome and great coffee, late, and capacinno!
Most disgusting yogurt drink in the world! Please taste what you sale! I swear to god my wife vomited so disgusting taste expired and blank! Please try it!
The bakery and food is downright delicious. The vegetable roasted lasagna is heavenly, get it to go for a nice and quick dinner. The prices on some of their general products can very pricey. Produce and deli also great.
It's a store that you will fall in love with and the treats are what will make you enjoy your day. The deli is full of delicious meats, cheese and everthing that puts you in the region of the world bakery is Devine and all the things fresh and dried there is a few things for everone here and you'll be in the middle of quality and pricing.
Great place to pick up groceries. Excellent deli and selection of oils. Good quality produce. They had more than adequate measures in place for distancing, hand sanitizing stations, staff counting clients incoming and outgoing. Will return to shop again soon. Highly recommend.
I get almost all my groceries here these days. The basics are well priced and they carry lots of local items. Also love the small size of the store - makes it quick and easy to get in and out, at least on weekdays as there is quite a crowd on weekends.
Oh my. Was this good. Can see why this is an institution in Edmonton. Torpedo mortadela was fantastic. The desserts are phenomenal. Olny issue is what to pick. So many choices. I recommend the chocolate with orange biscotti with your coffee. Amazing. Stop reading and go.
Large variety of food available. A lot of imported European food from various countries. Hot fast ready to eat as well as a cafe and food made to order off a menu selection.
I'm in my late50s and have been getting my sandwiches here since my 20s they're great ad inflation had notcasedthe price to go up they were$5.99 back the and are still only $12.99: for a freshmade Baggetteand neaely2 pounds of sandwich anywhere else this could be a$20.00 sandwich
Big selection of groceries, small produce section, frozen foods, and more. The deli selection is insane with a huge variety of meats and cheeses. There is a small café / restaurant inside. Pizza, pasta, dessert, and coffee available.
It's the Italian Centre. That, by itself, should speak for itself. But if it doesn't, here's a brief breakdown of what makes this place such a joy to go to every time: +They have very good, fresh produce. +Their bakery is top notch, offering countless pastries, freshly baked bread, and a vide assortment of cakes. +Their deli is exceptional. The number of cheeses, deli meats, and olives/pickles/salads is HUGE and would make any foody smile from ear to ear (guilty). +Their cafe offers delicious options from espressos, to paninis, to pastries, to authentic Italian pizzas. Absolutely delicious. +Their shelves are always full of interesting pastas, sauces, and wonderful options (most other stores don't carry) that really get the culinary creative gears turning! -Its a little more expensive than, say, a normal grocery store. BUT you are paying for quality here. -This is an incredibly busy place. Sometimes it's hard to find parking or a seat at the cafe.
Definitely recommend coming here. If not to shop then for the experience and inspiration!
This place is great if you have a decent budget and a craving for good Italian products. They have an amazing selection of meats and cheeses to be sliced fresh to order. The olive selection is borderline ridiculous (in the best way) the bread is always fresh and the produce if well curated. Whenever I'm near one I always find myself stopping and getting something to snack on.
Excellent produce, deli and cheese selections. The bakery has some of the best desserts I’ve ever tasted. If I do not make pizza dough from scratch I buy my dough here, it is excellent quality.
Surprisingly, I would not recommend any of the pastries there, except maybe biscotti. Pretty tasteless, you won't taste the difference between different kinds of cakes, combine it with the price (which is on the high end) and it becomes a total waste.
Great place to support local however expect it to be busy no matter when you go. Parking can sometimes be an issue but the quality of their goods are beyond compare. I'm always satisfied with my purchases.
Everything in this place is delicious and there is a great variety of products. There is a caffeteria area where you can eat and drink the most delicious coffees, desserts and pizzas
Rarely do you find an organization as excellent as this. I married into an Italian family so Italian culture was new to me and indeed a pleasure to discover. From its original days until now they have kept the friendly customer service attitude and product quality they started with. Their selection of Italian goods is second to none and their quality is top-notch. Shopping here is like being a kid in a candy store. The cafe is a joy to visit. Their pizzas are very genuine Roman style and delicious. My in-laws ordered wine making grapes from them from the very first days of the original store and a couple years ago I went in to order some myself. I had never ordered from them before and they simply took my order and called me when they delivered. They didn't ask for payment at all, it was understood that they provided a service and I should pay so I went in the next day and paid by cheque with no ID required. When they delivered the grapes nobody was home so they went around to the back where we have a locked gate. UPS or Fedex or anybody for that matter would have just left the crates in the back in plain sight and easy to steal. These guys climbed the fence and hauled the grapes over the fence inside the locked yard. It's this kind of service that will ensure the success of this store for years to come.
Great place to do your shopping. They have an excellent selection of groceries, variety of cheese, sausages and lot of European products. Nice, always clean store, well organized.
This new one on 170 st. It is only going to get worst to find a parking spot when the new stores next door open for business that new addition took at least 30 parking spots away. You can tell corporate does no shopping here. Well we will see where this goes.
The freshest deli meats with authentic taste from different parts of Europe. Amazing cafe with delicious desserts, sandwiches, pizza and of course coffee. If you are looking for European groceries, this place is as close as you'll get.
