I walked into the store for a couple minutes to check it out and ended up talking to Seth for almost an hour. He is very friendly and knowledgeable; was able to guide me into the right direction regarding my future Rolex purchases.
Even though they did not have anything I was interested in available for sale, I had a great time with Seth at J. Vair. Would highly recommend if you in the market for a luxury timepiece or simply looking to try a few things.

I visited J. Vair to take a look at their Zodiac collection the other day, and I can't say enough how delightful and memorable an afternoon I had. Seth was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and was gracious enough to let me try on a few of my grail pieces from Rolex, which left a remarkable impression.

Seth and I had a great conversation regarding the Zodiac collection, and I was able to look through each piece very deliberately. Although I didn't find a Zodiac that exactly matched what I was looking for, I will certainly be checking back regularly so that I can purchase a watch from Seth.

The purchase of my first Rolex watch was to commemorate a milestone and many thanks to Paul L'Hirondelle, Seth and the entire J. Vair Anderson team for creating such a memorable and enjoyable experience! Paul went above and beyond on this day taking the time to share his background, understand mine and to answer the endless amount of questions I had. Aside from the watch purchase itself, the opportunity to connect with such a personable and knowledgeable group of individuals is what truly made the overall event exceptional. Without a doubt J. Normally I do not leave reviews, however after my first visit to J. Vair Anderson I felt obligated to give my thanks for the amazing experience.

My best man from my wedding was visiting from out of town and wanted to see some of the new Grand Seiko & Nomos watches in the metal. Upon entering the store, we were greeted by Seth, who blew us away with his incredible knowledge of the brands, a fellow watch enthusiast (and admirer of the BLNR over the BLRO). While trying on some of the new pieces, Seth was able to notice that my friend's Grand Seiko bracelet was not sitting correctly on his wrist and immediately offered to have the watch adjusted in store, while showing us some of the other watches they had to offer. My friend's watch now fits like a glove!

Overall, one of the best watch experiences I've had at an AD!

I wanted to take a moment to describe and express my sincere gratitude for the wonderful service that was provided to me and my family over the weekend at J. Vair Anderson Jewellers. I had heard some amazing things about them from past co-workers and decided to visit the store.

This past windy Saturday, my wife and I pushed our 18 month old in a stroller through the doors and was very pleasantly greeted with a smile, coffee and water. The store was busy…in a good way!

At one point, my son got out of his stroller to play with the cute chocolate coloured dog. We knew he was still in the store just by hearing him laughed and giggle excitedly.

Dylan had originally approached us and we had a great conversation. It was clear to us that he genuinely wanted to get to know us. Later, Dylan asked us what we were looking for as our next watch pieces. We described what kind of matching watches we were interested in and soon after, he was able to find it. We didn’t expect it…we knew walking into the store there would be a long wait to acquire what we were looking for due to supply/demand constraints. As you can imagine, we jumped on the opportunity to purchase both his/her watches. Words cannot explain the level of excitement! I compare it to the birth of my son.

Soon after, we met Paul who enthusiastically described the features of the watches, more specifically the ring command bezel on my new watch. He even helped me set my new watch which saved me the need to read the manual right away. It also allowed me to wear my watch right away and enjoy it.

While waiting to get my wife’s watch resized, I met with Seth who demonstrated the differences between the various Grand Seiko movements. Seth described the technical aspects with such detail that I have yet to witness anywhere else. We both agreed that Grand Seiko provides a better value proposition than most other brands. More specifically, due to the quality of each hand crafted/assembled piece, it will be harder to acquire one in the future once the masses figure it out. I am personally looking for an all gold piece with a spring drive movement. Hoping it will come out soon!

When you walk into the store, you feel this positive energy which is soon accompanied with extremely knowledgeable and passionate ambassadors. We will soon be back to upsize the stone in my wife’s ring.

I had the most positive experience with J. Vair Anderson.
I have always been hoping to acquire 2 watches as a milestone anniversary celebration gift each for my wife and I.
So I walked in one day, met Paul and explained the watches I was hoping to purchase. It was a very pleasant conversation, Paul was taking notes and was eagerly interested to see how J Vair can be part of such an important personal milestone.
Icing to the cake, it was also great to "talk shop" with a fellow watch enthusiast like Paul, we both had similar watches on wrist.
After waiting for some time (not too long, however duration will not be disclosed in this review), I received a call from Paul with great news that both watches were available and ready to be picked up.

Both watches purchased are of course absolutely spectacular. There is however no need to further mention the watches, only if it serves as testament to the meticulous consideration this establishment puts towards its reputation - they only carry the best and most reputable brands.

My girlfriend need it a necklace and bracelet, Pei-Wen was very patient helping out my girlfriend to find the jewelry that suit her best.she decided to purchase a mikimoto bracelet and a diamond.she recommended to buy a diamond and have it design it in the way she wanted.this would be a unique diamond necklace. By far the best fine jewelry store in the city with the best variety of fine jewelry and watches with a huge selection to choose from. Every time I walk through the door I get greeted with the biggest smile from every employee. I've been coming to J. Vair for about a year and a half now. Their knowledge and expertise is excellent, and their patience is always appreciated. Each time I go in to buy a watch, my bank flags the transaction, and each time Seth has been patient and understanding, even after closing hours. I've shopped at both Rolex dealers in Calgary, and I can say confidently that J.
Vair is my favorite.

I had the great honour of shopping here today, and was greeted with familial warmth by the sales staff.

Ed was the professional who took care of me during my purchase of an exquisite Sinn 556A on the H-Link bracelet. His treatment of me was the pinnacle of professionalism and enthusiastic knowledge, and I had an awesome time comparing my black pilot's dial with his grey anthracite 556 on Milanese mesh.

The rest of the sales staff were also some of the best retail professionals I've had the pleasure of interacting with. They gladly showed me the displays, including one gentleman's vintage Rolex Submariner collection, and let me ogle multiple Sinn, Nomos, and Grand Seiko offerings.

What I love about this shop is that the prices are market rate - but unlike a mall, they do not overcharge. You're buying true quality at a quality price tag, and there are no watches stocked here that are below the highest standards of craftsmanship. The watch I purchased was in flawless condition and they even sized the bracelet to my exact specifications on-site. I am now also the proud owner of the 2021 Sinn coffee table catalog- a dangerous publication for any horological nerd!

Yesterday was one of those days that are truly magical. All thanks to Pei Wen, I got my holy grail watch. When she brought it out to me yesterday right at that moment, I was full of emotions and til today, it still feel like a dream. She also helped me pick up a couple of pearl necklaces for my mom and wifey. I usually struggle with women's gifts on my own but yesterday, it was straight forward and she gave me a lot of great recommendations which improved my confident on my selections.
Also gotta mention Seth, who helped me adjust the links for my wrist. He knows exactly what he was doing and the final fit was perfect.

I've been a watch fanatic for a long time starting from my university days, where back then I've only dreamed of building my collection. Amazing service, left Sinn watch for service, they dealt with Germany for us, which from experience is a time consuming headache. And with minimal expenses. Even with us being based in Toronto and J. Vair in Calgary the service was prompt and exceptional. Will use them for all our future watch needs. The best jewelry concierge service you could hope for.

Just made my first purchase at J. Vair and I must say, the service here is amazing! David and all of the staff here are extremely warm and welcoming. The experience was exceptional! As another reviewer posted, they definitely bring out the fun in purchasing jewelry. The whole team here is SO friendly. I’m from Edmonton and although there is a Rolex dealer here, I still decided to go to Calgary to purchase my watch. We will definitely drive 3 hours to J Vair for all our future watch and jewelry purchases.

I had a absolutely great time visiting the store today, the staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable, I had the pleasure of speaking with Seth as he showed me some of the stores wide variety of timepieces, I came in looking for a specific Rolex piece and was expecting to be shooed away due to the high demands of the piece, but I was treated with respect and Seth still took the time to speak with me about some of the great time pieces they had in store, I would highly recommend J. Vair Anderson when looking for your next timepiece as they are the best in Calgary and surrounding area, I've visited other dealers and none quite hold up to the service and selection you get with J. Vair Anderson.
