My experience with Jack Carter seems to get worse every time I visit. This was my go to dealership years ago and after having terrible experience in service to not even being acknowledged while shopping for a new truck this weekend they have lost our business.

Service takes forever. They charge for absolutely everything they touch and don’t seem to be concerned with going above and beyond in any way to keep you coming back. I don’t have a problem with them making money but I always leave there feeling taken advantage of. Front end staff are friendly with good communication to the customer. On a previous visit when I went to pick up my truck I was told my electrical problem couldn’t be addressed because they had a 3 day backlog so I should rebook. This time I was adamant that the electrical issue was looked at first. After the first day of them having my vehicle, I got a call saying they hadn’t looked at it yet so needed my truck for a 2nd day. This was fine with me but not sure what kind of planning goes on behind the scenes for this to happen again? My bill was itemized and well organized with good shop notes so that was awesome to see. I asked for NO tire rotation since we had just put our winter tires on. The bill said they had been rotated so I called to sort this out. Got a song and dance about copying and pasting getting mixed up between the front end and shop. Nothing in the notes to say whether it was done. They just weren’t sure. As a customer I don’t find this very comforting.
I recently had my winter tires installed as well as an oil change at JACK CARTER CHEV BUICK GMC. I had ruined my passenger side windshield wiper and they were able to replace it as well…. This wasn’t in the original scope of work. The service was excellent, I was kept updated on progress and had my car back by the end of the day.

The absolute worst service and parts department I have been to in 35 years! I would have given them zero stars if I could. A regular routine oil change took almost an entire day, and a part was ordered for a recall, but I never heard back. When I called I was told the part was in 21 days earlier. Yes, they apologized, but not good enough. I finally got in to get the part installed and after 3 hours they told me my vehicle was ready. When I got in I realized the part wasn’t even installed. I complained and was given yet another excuse that their system was down, again. Finally they got me in and installed the part, after having to wait even longer. I would not recommend this location to anyone. Horrible customer service and experiences! For a company that has been around for so long, this is unacceptable. You’ve lost my business forever.
My checkin was friendly and service items were discussed and I was checked in promptly. I waited for my car while service was completed. The anticipated 1.5 hour service took 2.5+ hours due to their departments backlog therefor the 4 star rating. My checkout and diagnostic paperwork were explained to me and all questions answered. The total price was as discussed without surprises. Thank you for the personal service.
Great pre owned vehicle department. Listens to your needs. Matches the vehicle. Honours preowned certified guarantee if you have a problem. Great service department as well.
Jack Carter Chevrolet has always been extremely reputable and fast with service. I've dealt with them for more than 40 years and I'd recommend all the departments and services.
