Clean and welcoming. Studio suite was adequate for our needs, fireplace didn't work, that was the only downside. Close to highway 16, can get a little loud with trucks zooming by. In between Hinton and Jasper, makes groceries and gas a bit cheaper than in the mountain town. Pet friendly, just let them know in advance!

Beautiful cabins secluded on the edge of the mountains. Quiet get away along the highway. Not sure how quiet it would be during the summer months with the windows open. Limited amenities, but nice getaway. Probably can find cheaper options in Jasper and Hinton during the off-season.

Certainly out of the way - 40 minutes north of Jasper. Cozy and quaint. Just what we wanted.

Very poor wifi. Bring a book. Satellite TV would be nice for the price $$$. Highway noise is loud. Cheaply furnished, a couch would be nice. No closet door but space so small it would not allow for that. Better to stay in Hinton as park is still quite far away.

We are a family of 5 and were evacuated from Edson and wanted to say thank you for not only the reservation but the way that the staff has dealt with an influx of fire evacuees. I know some people were turned away and perhaps some people had a different experience but for us and from what we saw there is no doubt this staff very much tried to make everything work and for that, they should be applauded.

Nice Cabins. But far from Jasper! The name is very deceiving! Cabins are neat but zero space/cabinet/shelves to put your groceries and food. For the price they are charging for these cabins they can at least put a cabinet in the kitchen for storing food. If you book here to ski in Jasper then you need to know it's quite a drive to get to the ski hill.

Stayed in cabin 1. Heater did not work. We couldn’t sleep cause it was too cold. Also ran out of hot water had to wait a while before another person could shower.

A nice, scenic stay just 30 mins from Jasper. Cabin was spacious, clean, and in good condition. The fireplace was a nice touch but a TV in the living room or one of the bedrooms would be nice. My only issue was with the front desk. We called the evening of check in and explained that we were going horse riding nearby the next morning, so asked if there was a chance to check out an hour later than usual (12pm). The lady said no (fine…) but then started encouraging us to check out EARLY, wanting to confirm an early morning departure time with her over the phone. Found it a big strange and unwelcoming, like she was eager to get the next guests straight in there, but otherwise enjoyed the stay.

Great place! Clean and mostly quiet (some hiway traffic noise). Has a small Convenience store at the office and a restaurant/Brewery on site! Close to Hinton and jasper. Very well maintained, koodos to the owners and staff! About half a dozen lakes to swim/kayak within 20min. Only issue I had would be the price, but I guess it's the price you pay for quality and location. There is a small park for the kids and open areas for frisbee or kicking the ball too. Overall a very nice place!

Great location and right next to the brewery if you want to grab food or a beer. Small convenience store also has some food/necessities. Cabins are well made and have heat for room and living room which made them really easy to stay in

We first booked a cabin in July of 2020 for the most part we had a good experience except 2 things. There were 2 dogs off leash that kept charging at our dogs. Our dogs are not aggressive but when another dog is charging at them and they are on leash they don’t like it. We complained but nothing was done. Then the sewer started backing up into the toilet and into the bath tub and overflowed into the cabin. I called from the office several times and no one ever answered the phone. I had to drive to the office to get someone to come help us. Then no one even bothered to clean up the poopy water mess. So disgusting.

Then we decided to book a trip for may long weekend 2021. I booked through Expedia and accidentally booked non refundable. Well on Wednesday May 19,2021 my husband injured his ankle and can’t drive we live in Edmonton so it’s close to a 4 hour drive. I am 3 weeks post c section and now allowed to drive. I contacted jasper east cabins which took me 8 tries before my phone call was answered to ask if we could either cancel or move the reservation to another date. I was told I had to contact Expedia. Which I did. They told me they would have to contact jasper east cabins to ask if they would allow a refund or a change in date. I was on hold with them for at least 20 minutes. The agent came back and informed me that they were not answering the phone and that they would escalate my request to an agent who would try to contact them and I would hear in 72 hours. On Saturday May 22 I received an email from Expedia stating that they still have not been able to contact them but would keep trying. On Sunday May 23 my credit card was charged the full amount of the stay and I got a text message from the assistant manager asking when we would be coming in. After several exchanges messages they told they received an email from Expedia today which was too late to cancel anyways. So they knew we weren’t coming and messaged and harassed us anyways. We will never go there again after they way they acted. The assistant manager stated we needed to contact them 48 hours before to cancel and when I said I tried to contact you and was told I had to contact Expedia I was told it didn’t matter your stay was non refundable. They take your money and then never answer the phone when you need to make changes to your stay and then tell you they did nothing wrong.

After this whole exchange I get an email from Expedia saying that they advocated our case to jasper east cabins of cancelling or changing our reservation but that Jasper east cabins has denied our request. No compassion whatsoever!

I received the following reply from the owner.

Hello Adrienne, I'm sorry to hear about the issues you encountered on your first stay and was under the impression we had solved them. With regards to booking through Expedia any cancellations or changes must be done through them and not through us. For future guest reading this review we recommend you book through us directly.

Clearly they don’t know how to read. I clearly stated that we did contact Expedia and they told me they had to request permission to change or cancel the date. An Expedia agent tried several times to call jasper east cabins and no one answered the phone. I know that this is true because when I tried to call I had to call 8 times before my phone call was answered.

And the comment about future people reading my review and how they should book directly with them. Yea good luck! That requires someone to answer the phone! And again out bad experience is not their fault. (Insert eye roll here)

Cabin was very small and not what I expected for the price. When we got in, it was 21 degrees out and warm, inside the cabin the staff had left the fireplace on full and heat was over 30 degrees inside, took us 2 hours to get it to cool down. The shower head did not work properly and the cabin had not been cleaned properly. Definitely would not pay that price to stay here again.

Absolutely loved our stay at Jasper East Cabins! The cabin was clean and comfortable - fireplace was a huge bonus. Pet friendly, so we got to bring our baby along, which was very much appreciated. After staying here it will be very difficult to go back to staying at hotels - love the privacy that we got with the cabin. Hoping to return soon!

We stayed at Jasper East Cabins last year and loved it (I should have written a review then!). We rented the 3 bedroom cabin and it had everything we needed plus more. The staff were amazing and the space was more than big enough for the 8 of us. We just booked the 3 bedroom cabin again for August 2021 and the staff have been amazing (rectified a small issue very quickly and professionally - we couldn't be happier)!

Extremely over prices for what you get. The cabins are new and clean but small and poor layout. They have very basics which do not include TV or couch in the living area. The cabins are close to the highway and traffic noise is extremely loud and goes all night. They do have Internet with reasonable reception. For $300+ per night I would expect more comfort and room. Doubt I will stay there again.

The restaurant at the nearby Brewery has ok beer, the food is basic pub food. Most offensive is the terrible smell of sewage from the nearby septic field. Completely takes away from enjoyment of eating and drinking. Couldn't get away from the smell fast enough.

Don't stay here if you want to be close to Jasper. Stay in Hinton if you want to save a buck. The cabins are not worth their value. They are not flexible with their cancellation policy which is 72 hours. Most hotels are 24-48 hours notice. The Pocahontas cabins only need 48 hours cancellation notice and are closer to the Miette springs and Jasper. The cabins are pretty basic, no TV, WiFi is slow, water pressure is low, and there was a stain on our comforter. They give you a letter saying to rinse your dishes or you will be charged $100 dollars. Is there no house keeping? They also own the Overlander cabins too, so same policy and threatening letter. Spend an extra 100 dollars and stay at the Fairmont Jasper Park lodge. Way better service, friendly staff, more amenities and obviously very close to Jasper.

"Unfortunately we could not cancel your reservation as you called us on the day of your arrival, after the check in hours, which was after 4pm. We offered to charge you only for the 1 night instead of the 2 nights, but you told us you would stay the second night. ". Nope this is untrue. You called us back and you were not budging for the charge of 2 nights. Even apon arrival you had to ensure us you were charging us for 2 nights. There was no such offer of only charging one night. Unbelievable!

Kinda far from jasper. The cabin was nice. The registration office doesn't open until 8, and they tell you can't check out until then. We waited until 820 and they still weren't there.so we just left. We also waited when we arrived, there was a sign at the door that said back in 10 mins.we waited at least 20 mins. So if you dont like waiting around.it may not be the spot for you lol

Beautiful cabins. Lovely spot. Fantastic being able to walk right over to folding mountain brewery. Fire place in cabin has us all roasty toasty. They have small grills that you can use charcoal (preferably natural lump charcoal since it tastes a thousand times better). Like the kitchenette for our breakfast it will be nice and handy.

We stayed here for 4 nights during the pandemic. The cabins are very nice, and the scenery is beautiful.
There were a few things we disliked:
-The water pressure
-Dishware sanitization between guests
-Bedding sanitization between guests
Unfortunately while we were there the mosquitos were absolutely awful. We couldn't sit outside at all despite using a ton of bug spray.
Next time we will likely check the mosquito status before booking.
Overall a great location and an decent price.
