What a spot! The pizza menu is super. We got a delicious veg pie and elk pie? 1.5 pies was the amount we got through (for 2 people) since they're an odd size. We obvi went for 2 pies instead of a pie and salad/appy.
We also went home with one of their cool shirts! They'd make a good gift or souvenir.
Solid restaurant for pizza and pub food in Jasper - with the added bonus of rooftop views of the gorgeous mountains and railroad at the edge of town. The roof is semi-covered and has some heaters, but it can still get chilly especially if there isn't very much sun. You can also opt to sit downstairs in the dining room to hide from the elements. Service is friendly if not particularly quick, and your fellow diners will be mostly tourists.
The menu is comprised of a variety of different pizzas with both thin and pan crust options, and a small local beer selection. The pizza is, well.pizza. Similarly, the other apps and beer were not amazing but will certainly hit the spot at the end of a long day of hiking. The tiramisu wasn't really tiramisu, but more coffee-flavored sponge cake. All the sodium made us pretty thirsty, and unfortunately the staff were pretty slow at coming by to refill water - although we did get more time to enjoy the scenery and listen to the pop music through the speakers.
Had a dine in with my friends and ordered two pizza, Eddie and Microbiose with wings. Everything was fresh and delicious. The atmosphere and service was great. There was an error in the bill but on contacting the manager I received refund in no time. What a wholesome experience! Kudos and best wishes to the team!
Slow, poor service. Our server never came back to our table after taking our order. Took forever for drinks and water refills. My spaghetti meatballs were cold on the the inside n didn't taste well at all. Never again.
Nice place, nice service, nice staff 5 stars for those pounts. For the pizza I’ll give a 0, I took the meat lover pizza. They probably cooked a Delissio frozen pizza cuz they were tasting the same
11/23/21 is the day I will never forget. This is the day where Jasper Pizza Place first touched my hungry mouth. I don’t even care about mountains anymore. If I could rate this place 6 stars I would. Order the Microdose pizza and add chicken - you’re welcome. The creamy garlic dip should be an entree by itself.
In all seriousness, the food is incredible and the service is top notch. Every single person working there could put a smile on your face. This is a must visit place!
Really good pizza, not a real big beer selection but a few local ones on tab which is nice. Service was a bit slow, but they are likely just understaffed like everywhere in town.
Nice and warm place. Good pizza, we ordered Athabasca & Marge. With Garlic bread. It was amazing and we got them delivered to our hotel since we were exploring downtown. They came bit early from expected time but it's better to be early than late. We ordered by visiting the restaurant ourselves and must visit an great place to hangout. Woodburning oven pizzas are really good. Must visit place everyone!
Exceptional service! Staff were friendly, attentive, and prompt. Tom Churri salad to start was great, only reason I can't give 5 stars is because the wood burning pizza was just average in taste especially for the price.
Jasper pizza used to be our to go place for dinner whenever we came in the town, which I would say once a month. We had Athabasca pizza every time but last time was just disappointing. The deduction of the stars:
1 They gave us burnt pizza
2 for which we have been waiting for so long
3 outside in late September evening (also ate one outside)
4 which host told us that inside dining space is full and we believed her. Once we were seated at least 5 to 6 couples went in without any problem and yes, I was counting the people coming out and it didn't match, so they had space available before us as well.
So we ate one pizza outside in cold and ordered another but they took so long that we decide to have it packed. The waitress came so fast with pizza that even after so many negative points I happily decided to give it chance afterwards only to see an ugly, burnt pizza. Sorry, Jasper pizza place but we won't meet again!
Delicious pizza with great service. They took care that we got the best pizza experience by replacing it on their own when they noticed that it was a bit over done.
The upstairs patio was very full. Was about a half hour wait at least. (not even peak hours) Expensive but you're in Jasper so it's expected. Other than that it's amazing!
Nothing about this place was good. Overpriced and terrible pizza. Ordered the Salumi and hambo. Very disappointed by each. Would have been better going to Famoso.
Yum yum yum, delicious pizza. Omg made so fresh and tasty. My kids loved it and so did we. The mozzarella cheese they use is to die for! Service is good and fairy quickly. We sat on their rooftop patio and enjoyed the heaters!
I know and understand that the younger kids will be kids but in the workplace isn't the spot for that. While their food was awesome and service was equally great, it was extremely loud and hearing about all their social media adventures wasn't what we needed to hear all over the restaurant.
Good pizza and decent beer. Service was a little slow and the wings weren’t worth $18 but still a fairly decent experience in a town where all restaurants are slightly overpriced.
We were recommended Jasper Pizza Place from one of the guides on the SkyTram and we are so glad that we took the recommendation! We really enjoyed their food and their service.
The BBQ Chicken Pizza is always full of flavour. Pizza crust is perfect texture, not greasy, not dry. Staff are friendly and efficient despite the crowds. For take-out orders, they will send a text when your food is ready. A must stop for us whenever traveling through Jaaper.
Really good pizza. Friendly staff. Upstairs, downstairs and outdoor dining. Full bar available. The pizza, New York House Pizza, was very good. Dine in or take out. Staff wore masks.
Very poor service. It took about half an hour for our server to even get our order and then an hour to even receive food. The food was nice but not worth the wait. We saw our server standing around quite often. It was her co-workers who actually served us. They kept our waters full and served us the food. She only came back when we wanted to pay. She apologized but it was not sincere. Super disappointing considering the price you pay to eat there.
Stopped in for food on the way home from a trip from BC. Really wish I hadn't. Waited over an hour for ice cold soggy pizza and cold poutine. Poutine might be good if it hadn't been sitting until it was cold, but I don't know if there was ever any hope for that soggy mess of a pizza. This is a current review I was just there Wednesday August 25 2021 Please don't take my word for it but take a look at the pictures of the food coming out of this place 50% decent 50% looking like a finger painting by a drunk Stevie Wonder and tasting the part.
I visited with a group of friends while on vacation. It was awesome to see the lovely atmosphere of the restaurant and the camaraderie of the staff. Everyone working together. Christina was our server and she was awesome. I had the Hail Caesar cocktail (two of them actually) and the King of New York pizza. Both were awesome. Full of flavour and made with care and experience. If I was staying longer I would visit again. Highly recommended!
The fresh ground chuck burgers are superb including the toppings. The pizza crust is just perfection.sauce and toppings do not disappoint. This is the complete package. Best kids pizza I have seen. Happy to help my 9 year old finish her last slice. The patio on the road can be loud, but the view is worth it. Busy place but very quick service. Again, every aspect of the dinning experience was superb.
Gave 1 star because I have to but would prefer to give 0. After a long day of travelling in Jasper - we found a food place open. Really grateful for that. We arrived at 10: 20 and were asked to rush our order and have it ready because downstairs kitchen is closing soon - so we did.
We asked if we could alternate toppings due to diet restrictions (veg) and waiter said that would be difficult for the kitchen staff to do. So we didn’t ask further and complied with the rules. After some time, the waiter came to our table while we were still eating to clean up. Right off bat, as someone who was once a waiter too, I knew this trick and all the rushing from before was to get us out as soon as possible so they can close down. Fair enough.
After finishing our food - we asked for more water to finish off our meal. The waiter denied us water. Waiter said their bar is closed so they can’t “run anything out” - which didn’t make sense to us. Mind you the upstairs bar was still open so if the waiter wanted to be helpful and give us water - she could have.
I did ask the waiter “not even water? ” Waiter said “no, sorry”. I said to the waiter “wow that’s interesting I have never heard of a restaurant not offering water with a meal but I guess that’s understandable”. The waiter brushed it off by asking “well how did you like the pizza? ” We said it was okay. We still tipped the waiter because that’s etiquette and that’s who we are and we understand that these are hard working folks during the pandemic.
However, I did approach the waiter after to let her know about my disappointment and if I could leave a review. She let me leave a note. The waiter suddenly apologized and told me that she misunderstood me as she thought we were asking for other drinks (not water) - mind you the restaurant had no customers at this point - restaurant was quiet and the rest of the staff was listening - so I did believe she was covering for herself in front of her coworkers.
I told the waiter, “no we specifically asked you for water (both me and my brother). I let her know what if someone was choking - what would you do. I said its unprofessional and no one should be denied water - I let her know that water is a right incase she didn’t believe so. I could tell when I said #WATERISARIGHT - she got scared and apologized even more and continued to deny and now claim that she didn’t know we were asking for water and thought drinks.
I want to mention I fully had a conversation with her when she denied us water about how it’s interesting that this restaurant doesn’t offer water even if bar and kitchen is closed. Not once did we ask for drinks. The only word that came out of our mouth (s) was water and we asked for it very loudly - fully conversing (Our understanding is that waiter wanted to rush us out and that’s fine but the technique could have been better)
I also let the waiter know that it’s up to her how much she wants to help customers and that I totally understand because I too was a waiter once and offering good (at least basic) service is always up to the server. Waiter then let me know that she’s very sorry and that she’s had a long day and she’s tired. It all made sense then.
Nonetheless, I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone travelling, as the service won’t be that great and the food is basic. Other waiter seemed nice but our waiter was overwhelmed (who did not introduce herself to us - downstairs waiter - blonde with some pink in her hair) which projected onto us.
Denying water to anyone is NOT okay and I certainly hope it wasn’t because we are brown and muslim.
Went with a group for the all you can eat pizza. The pizza wasn't the best quality and the variety was a little limited. Might have been because if the size of the group, but overall the experience was ok
We had great service when we visited. Pizza is 4/5. I had a classic thick crust pepperoni and mushroom. Crust was ok, I've had better at Dallas and Royal in Edm. Sauce was too tangy for my liking, I prefer more peppery, and spicy on that type of pizza. Toppings were great, I especially enjoy the small black mushrooms. Will come again.
Sehr leckere Pizzen, sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal, was will man mehr da auch die Preise stimmen? Wir kommen sicherlich wieder wenn wir Mal wieder in Jasper sind! Also eine ganz klare Empfehlung!
Ordered pizza through grubhub at 7: 33 - cheese with onions and sausage - not complicated with delivery estimated to be at 9: 11 PM. I called them and was told "we are having problems with grubhub.received online order at 8: 03 PM.delivery at 9: 11 PM". Called again and was THREATENED with no food delivery and I would be charged or I could wait as the manager "did not appreciate the attitude". As for the attitude, I can understand but to threaten no delivery.this prompted a third call stating I would call the police for theft if needed. I have been waiting for nearly two hours. I hope this is edible.
Will not go back. Server was good however took way too long for food to arrive. Pizza was so disappointing (burnt and dry). Kids meal was $10.99 and did not include drink nor a treat/dessert. North Face Pizza will be getting our business next time.
Pizza was great but the HORRIBLE experience makes it not worth the pizza. 1141 Lyn996 was the name on the receipt. We ordered 3 pizzas and water and after watching our waitress cater to tables around us and not look at us it was clear there was an issue. As we watched the tables around us get wood burned pizzas who had arrived 10-15 after we ordered it caused frustration and that doesn't include multiple take out pizza orders that were placed and picked up long before our 2 pizzas came out. My husband mentioned he was concerned we were forgotten since we couldn't even get offered water but the Caesars at the table beside us weren't finished before she was asking them for another. The waitress decided to snap at my husband and rudely after arguing us. It caused tension at my table and a scene since she decided to keep ranting as she walked away. My husband then waited for almost another 10 minutes before he went up the other hosts standing around and asked if my son could have some more water. When the host came to the table we asked him about the 3rd pizza and my husband said we felt blacklisted from the waitress. He went to go check and the waitress came over right away and asked what our problem was I said we were missing the 3rd pizza. It took 6 minutes to then get a 3rd pizza but it was only partially cooked and when the waitress came to the table after the host brought the pizza she made it awkward and keep punching in different keys on the debit machine just making more commotion. Don't usually feel discriminated against but I will not never take my family to a place that makes us feel worthless! Aweful way to end our 2 week long family vacation!
Really great place. The service was really spectacular and really friendly. The food arrived pretty quickly and what was supposed to be hot was, indeed hot. The prices weren't too expensive but kind of border line. However, there are some flaws. Having to walk up and down stairs to reach the only set of washrooms sometimes is a pain. Downstairs, it was dim, dark and deserted. It kind of gave me a creepy feel. From the warm homey feeling of upstairs to the "other side" of the place. Although the pizza there is actually good, (obviously because they are a pizza place, hence the name) some other menu items were only so-so. One example was the soup. It felt like it was straight from the concentrate due to the quality of the veggies and the odd taste to it. The soup was also quite watered down. Overall, I think this pace was pretty good, although not ordering certain foods. If you decide to come here, definitely get that pizza. Its really good.
