I recently moved to Calgary and I was hesitant to find a new hairstylist. I booked in J&J and Jenny did my hair cut. I absolutely loved it. She took the time to see the style I wanted and she communicate with me through the hair cut to see if the length and shape was what I wanted. I loved the result! I definitely will go to her again.

My hairstylist has been unable to work due to a long term injury, so not being able to put off any longer getting my hair done, I took a chance and booked in this salon for highlights and a cut with Desiree. She listened to my preferences and concerns and offered advice based on her excellent knowledge and experience. The cut and highlighting are great. I have just had my 3rd haircut with Desiree and have been happy each time. I am a senior with fine, straight hair, and Desiree gets the hair and cuts and styles it without a lot of product. I am so glad to have found her!

I've been going to Clarissa now for over a year and she is nothing but amazing! I had very long hair and I was reluctant to cut it. I went to a shorter style with her, then now an amazing mullet style that we've worked on together. I love it beyond words! She is very informative, very kind, gentle and very easy to work with and talk styles to! All the staff are polite and cleanliness is top notch! Great little local studio! Highly Recommend!

After many years of searching for a hairdresser who takes the time and listens I have found Jenny. She was at a different salon before and when she moved to J and J I followed her here. The salon was always clean and pleasant. Jenny as usual always spent the time to listen and cut my hair with special techniques to create the natural look that I would like. I have been with Jenny for more almost 5 years now. I am very pleased with her service and highly recommend her.

When I had a long hair: Clarissa, an awesome informative and friendly hair dresser.
Now I have a short hair: I am finding Anwar the best barber I have seen in Calgary, and I tried plenty before. He is super experienced, quick and respectful dude. He does a fade by the book. I definitely recommend him.

I went in for a last minute cut for lunar new year and they were able to get me in within 2 hours! They have multiple stylists so if it's your first time and don't know who to go to anyone would be great! My stylist was Desiree and she was so professional and kind, we had a great convo which made me feel very welcomed and comfortable.

I came in for a Hairstyle with Vicky. She is the best! She even gave me tips and tricks on how to deal with my hair. Aside from the superb experience I had with her, it super easy to book an appointment with them. This Salon is honestly a hidden gem.

I had an appointment for cutting and hair colouring and my experience with J&J hair studio was great! It’s my first time doing hair colour and my hairstylist Vicky was very patience and throughly explained the process and what my hair colour could look like with or without bleaching my hair. Im really satisfied with my hair and will be back in the future! My only regret is not tipping enough as I wasn’t sure what amount is reasonable and I feel really bad for that.

Desiree is amazing! Went in for an appointment and consultation and she helped me decide what was best for my hair. She asked me if it was okay to thin out some of my hair. First of all, I became a street model after getting my color done here! I got compliments from my family, friends and strangers on streets. Staff was very friendly and paid great attention to what I was wanting. Ended up getting something much more than what I expected. Price was acceptable, and white interior was very clean. Very friendly stylist. She cared for the health of my hair and gave me the best option for the condition my hair was in; she colour-corrected my hair and gave me shadow roots (which is exactly what I wanted).

Clarissa was amazing. My hair hasn't look this good in over a year and I really appreciated the time and attention to detail that she took with cutting and styling my hair. She was easy to talk to as well, which was an added bonus.

This salon is extremely clean and the stylists were all taking time to disinfect surfaces after someone touched them, which I appreciated.

Very disappointing by J&J hair salon, how they can refuse somebody services because few time she canceled her hair services due to some personal reason. Without any reason you can't refuse the services without any prior notice. Management should take this seriously otherwise i am afraid J&J customers find some other respectable place for their hair services.

Hi, I want to inform everyone that these people will not book you if you have multiple cancelation whatever reason are, which is very bad customer service i never saw any where in the world specially in hair salon strange what a bad behavior and customer service, so next time I think if someone is sick or isolated they need to go to JJ but not to cancel because they never book you again. Very disappointing stuff i heard.

She's experienced and is professional in her consultation when I asked about a potential follow-up appointment for hair colour. Appointments and masks are recommended. They have hand sanitizer and staff wear masks as well to comply with current health regulations

Shortly before quarantine/pandemic I went to this salon, hesitantly going from bright blonde with major dark regrowth to full on brunette. I asked for a rich chocolate brown. I walked out with very rich chocolate brown that felt soft and I was over the moon in love. Its two months later and the color as barely faded only a bit on my previously blonde ends. The salon was so chic, clean and the service was excellent. This husband and wife duo own the salon, they have a great positive customer oriented attitude. I love my hair to this day and can't wait until it opens again to get a touch up.love love love!

Desiree at J&J is amazing! I've been going to Desiress for a very long time and she has transformed by hair from a dry kinked unmanageable mess to silky soft amazingly toned luscious hair! She is always on point with my blond and I always leave feeling amazing and beautiful!

Had an appointment with the wonderful Desiree and I was completely blown away with the results from my haircut. She knew I wanted to cut 6 inches and that I was nervous. She has a way about her that makes you feel at ease. She made me laugh my entire appointment. I’ve been getting my hair done with Deseree for 6 years now and she is the best in the business. She does the most amazing hair highlights. I have extensions and she does the best job at installation, my hair extensions last weeks before I need any upkeep. Deseree is also so friendly and personable, it’s always a great visit.

Vicky has been the sole hairdresser for me for years in Calgary and I am super happy that she and her husband finally owned their salon. Korean hairdresser earned their reputation in Asia, and I feel lucky that I can have Vicky here. She knows what fits me the best, and I think I will be very reluctant to allow anyone else to touch my hairs except Vicky!

Desire Wade is phenomenal! I've been seeing her for about 3 years now and she always goes above and beyond! She's helped me re-gain strength and healthiness in my hair while still being able to dye my hair on the regular.

Recently have gotten a haircut in the barber side. DO NOT i repeat do NOT go to the barbers side, I have asked for a simple fade and he was reassuring me that what he was going to provide but I ended up with no fade. I got in at 4: 30 and left at 4: 43, No time and consideration was given to my hair and there was no one else waiting. Very unprofessional also because the smell of smoke reeked all over his hands and did not appreciate smelling smoke while getting a terrible haircut
