I do like the place, but you guys are not really as family focused as one may think. Toddler swim is at typical baby/toddler nap time, from 1-230 and then family swim is in the afternoon 230-4 only 1.5h which is not very long but having little children wake up every day at 6 with nothing exciting for them to do allllllll day is really quite depressing on a poor mum with tiny ones. It is the same with the entire base and city, most craft or family events are catered to older kids, not really younger ones who need just as much fun interactive things to do. It could just be so much greater if the times were better.

In major need of renovations. When i went to the pool you couldn't use the diving board, hot tub, or waterslide. The staff didn't notify me and I ended up paying full price for myself and son and we couldn't really do anything. No activities and nothing for kids his age. Major disappointment.

Large facility with a swimming pool, wooden floor gym, weight room and rock climbing wall. If you're posted to Cold Lake and you want to better yourself as a soldier or an athlete, you will be visiting here a lot.

Staff is friendly amd lots of local recreational teams and events happening.

Great place to build and join communities if you are into sports.

A older facility but never the less a very clean and well maintained facility. I liked reading about why it was named after Col J. J. Parr. The building is a fitting tribute to an outstanding officer of our Canadian Armed Forces. It will be nice to an end to COVID 19 and see this building rocking again with athletics!

Ive only been on the outside but its great, it has a great outdoor Gym for people looking to workout, the outdoor gym includes instructions for each machine and how many reps you should do, beside the gym is a Shade structure with tables and garbage cans for eating and hanging out, next to the structure is a Play structure and a splash pad to let your kids go wild and have fun, the sport's center also includes a volleyball net, a Tennis court, a hockey Rink, and a Skate park, lots of fun, lots to do, 5/5.

Meh, it's okay. Vending machine food is expensive. The drinks are normally sold out, bummer. The coffee vending machine thing didn't work when I used it and just gave me warm water, disappointing. It's okay,

This gym could use a lot of upgrading. The pool is often shut down for maintenance. The weight lifting room is lacking. The machines are limited in selection, there is no a/c, the ceiling is often leaking, etc. There is no running track indoors or outdoors. Also, swimming lesson registration is ridiculous!

I will speak for the Aquatic Centre. It is a disaster. It has gone to the dogs as a result of lack of funding.
Leisure pool, hot tub, water slide and sauna are not in service.
On top of that every patron to use the deep end of the main swimming pool must pass a competency swim test.
Do us all a favour and just shut this joke of an Aquatic Centre down.

Don’t waste your time and money paying an admission that only gets you a small fraction of use of the facility.

Far to old and antiquated.

Designed for administration rather then the troops who require it.

Gray facility with everything you need for sports and recreation. Friendly staff to answer any and all questions, and wel kept. Very clean and well maintained.

Its a little pricey but well worth your dollar if your looking for a place to keep fit.

Lots of activities to occupy some of your time. Swimming pools and arenas, basketball courts and a skatepark. The list goes on but its best to stop by for a visit

In the winter, the place is usually very dirty.
The pool gets closed for maintenance or other unforeseen circumstances about 20% of the year.
The weight room is usually a mess. Fault here lies just as much on the users as on the lack of employee involvement.
The squash courts are in pitiful conditions, and on any cold winter day, the temperature in this section of the sport centre drops ridiculously low. This is a problem that comes back year after year.
Most JJ Parr employees (front desk, maintenance, and mostly PSP staff responsible for programming classes and other initiatives) seem to have very little interest in improving the centre in any sort of meaningful way. Exception made here for the pool, which, when it's actually open, is very well kept. The rock climbing wall was also a positive highlight of the centre, but it seems like the willingness to invest in it for maintenance and route setting has dropped quite a bit over recent months.

Relaxed atmosphere with a good selection of machines in the weight room. They have recently added more squat racks and an additional Stair Master.

A great way to spend family day if you opt to have physical activities because they have great facilities.

4 Wings Sports Centre to workout, shoot hoops, swim, ay squash and of course play hockey. Hot tub is rarely open and sometimes the gym is disorganized but over a great place to go to workout and play sports.

It’s a great facility with friendly staff and service. The squash courts are great and a number of good programs are run out of the rec centre.
