Cute cafe, but really annoying how they handle complaints. I ordered a grilled cheese & it came out looking & tasting very unappetizing - especially for $12. I was hoping that the server would be willing to swap it out with another sandwich or offer me a refund - however they refused to do either…. Also no wifi - In a cafe?
Got there at the end of the day so most of the items were sold out, but we scored the last of the donuts and had a couple of really good americanos, also friendly staff.
Unfortunately very disappointed. I’ve read some reviews and it seems like it was a great place. I bought a chocolate croissant and a cinnamon bun, they were both dry and tasteless. Clearly not freshly made.
The coffee is the best I've had in canmore, food is delicious, and the staff are so friendly! They even remembered my name after one visit! Thank you for your excellent service!
A great bakery to stop by for some coffee and breakfast while on a morning walk. Had the sausage roll, the spinach and feta, and the parfait. Definitely stop by!
I ate here years ago and had a delicious panini. Afterwards no other paninis were as good! Finally got to come back and was not disappointed. 11/10 would recomend!
Ordered a gluten free black forest cake for our moms birthday. The cake was dry and seemed like something went wrong in the baking process. We contacted the bakery and they were extremely professional and made the situation right quickly. We would happily gjve it another go with high hopes! 5 stars based on service since we haven't tried again to rate the product.
Nice bakery to take a walk to. I had a chocolate chip cookie and my dad had a coffee and an energy cookie while I had a hot chocolate. Good price for all of that and I donated to their donations bin.
Very busy but busy good for us with plenty of kids and families coming in. The drinks are good as well and there are many sweets to choose from. Recommended.
Update: I vomited.not super happy with anything honestly, sandwiches were nothing special, i DO NOT recommend the cream of mushroom soup, it honestly tasted like mucus in a bowl.absolutely no seasoning nor salt.you are not giving utensils nor napkins.tables are not cleaned between customers.
Found this great place and I'm so thankful I tried it! Had the German and Austrian strudel, amazing! Tried their Nicaraguan coffee, that was phenomenal! I will definitely be back the next time I visit Canmore!
Friendly staff, fast service, nice location and good parking. Nice selections of products and good homemade stile bakery. Not far from the Main Street.
On a visit from Calgary stopped in for lunch. The sandwich and Amercano were delicious. Took home a loaf of bread which toasted beautifully and tastes so good. Will be visiting again for sure.
The sandwiches soups and pastries are all AMAZING! Fresh food and really good pickles in the sandwich. Only complaint is it there is always a line so maybe open a second till to speed it up. Friendly staff highly recommend
Came in looking for a specific pastry for our girl's birthday, they didn't have any but suggested something else that ended up being absolutely delicious They also had tourtière available which was a nice surprise. Staff, desserts, coffee.great all around, we will be back.
We bought a bunch of pastries and coffees from here and we were enjoying their food on their patio. Because we had food from a neighbouring business, we were told we were not allowed to use their patio because of certain policies. I understand the need to follow restrictions and what not, however we felt singled out since we were clearly not the only party to do so, this afternoon. There were other parties clearly just taking a rest on the tables without any food, and people with items that were obviously not sold at the bakery. Just feels quite embarrassing to be the only party to be told off, especially that we were chomping down on nearly a dozen of their cookies, a struddle, a donut, and two coffees. Furthermore, we were told off after we had already left their patio. The food was pretty good at the time, but I guess this encounter here has soured our overall experience. It's hard not to sound resentful about what happened, but I'm trying to give a genuine review and to outline what happened objectively. Not sure if the cookies we bought, will ever have the same taste after this. I feel sad, because I was about to rave about the certain cookies I bought, but don't think I can now.
Edit: Management reached out to us to sort things out. We're happy that they took the constructive criticism to heart, and that things can improve to better customer experiences in the future.
Cream horn was stale. Clearly not made that day and very hard. Even the cream was sticky and hard and tasted stale. The staff were so nice and sweet, everything was clean and well presented but for $4.99 it was a waste of money. Would not recommend this place or come here again.
Tried a little bit of everything. All was really good. The Cherry Danish is my all time favorite! The Quiche was very filling and tasty, would definitely buy these two things again! The ginger cookie was a little to hard for me but tasted really good, the chocolate croissant was good as well, it had chocolate in the middle which was a nice surprise, however I wasnt the biggest fan of the chocolate myself. The lemon poppy seed shortbread cookie was good too wish it was bigger but it was priced well (>1$) I should have gotten more then 1!
Stopped in for a quick lunch before heading home. Really nice bakery and cafe. Food is homemade and the cappuccino was awesome. Grabbed a chicken pot to take home. Head there very good. Highly recommend!
I dropped by for a bit of lunch and was pleasantly surprised! Sandwich was thick and delicious, soup was hot and incredibly tasty! I got some cheese biscuits and carrot cake to go and honestly recommend this place highly! Yummy
The hot chocolate is great, the coffee is fine. Would not recommend going just for coffee. They have lamingtons which is a Australian dessert. Not so fresh but yes it's there.
The food here was so good! Tried it for the first time today and it was incredible, definitely a hidden gem. Nothing beat having piping hot soup and pot pie after a cold hike. Wish I had also tried the amazing looking pastries and sweets. Will for sure keep coming back here when I visit Canmore.
Good assortment of tasty treats and savoury fare. Was a little disappointed in our sandwiches, as there wasn't much to them. Will perhaps stick to the baked goods in the future.
This is one of my favourite local cafes. The staff are friendly, it has a comfortable atmosphere, the coffee is great and the prices are the best in the area. I come here several days a week to work, eat and get my coffees. They have two locations in Canmore and one in Banff and all are worth a visit.
Coffee and baked goods were acceptable. Staff was rude and condescending at worst, unfriendly at best. Nothing special, would recommend finding somewhere else to get a coffee.
Food was pretty good and prices were reasonable. There are lunch specials with soup/salad and cookie combo. The Philly steak sub was a little deceiving since it didn't have cheese in it. Would recommend for a quick bite or small lunch.
I've been visiting JK a lot lately, and I can't pick one go-to because everything I've tried so far has been incredible. The paninis are amazing (I recommend ciabbata). The muesli cookie is delectable. And the pretzels are so amazing, but you have to get there before lunch to ensure there are some left. I like to put the pretzels in the toaster oven for a minute when I get them home so I can eat them warm!
