Joeys Fish Shack

All breaded fish are fresh and juicy! We were visiting with friends. We ordered Fish and Chips with Cod, Haddock, famous fish and a Fried fish Burger. It was all so good, even the side of coleslaw was delicious.
Usually I can’t have much deep fried but I ate everything that was served.
There was also drafted beer which had a fruity taste and it was strong, which was very enjoyable.
It was a quiet night and the server was very friendly and said some funny jokes. We had a nice laugh and talked. We had a nice time.

Lunch today was great. The fish was lightly battered and delicious! And the coleslaw was tasty - not smothered in a creamy dressing, light and refreshing.
Felt bad that we were the only table there over lunch and have to feel it is largely due to the parking challenges in that area. Too bad as the manager was very friendly and offered suggestions that we might like.
Do this place a favor and stop in for some great seafood!

My daughter was craving for some seafoods & Lobster Bisque soup. After searching thru several seafood restos nearby that serves the soup, we finally decided to check out this joint on Edmonton Trail, bcoz besides it’s one of the closest to where we were at, this Joey’s seems to have a higher rating compared to other Joey’s (Seafood, Shack).

And we were not disappointed! We were greeted, seated, given menus, & water almost immediately. Our server was Jenish. He was an excellent server, he suggested their specials, explained & described the items on the menu that we have some questions with. He offered upgrades & special promos, but not overly pushy. We put in our orders, initially I ordered the Bangkok Bowl. But after several minutes of indecision, I changed it to their Endless Plate (2 pcs fish, coconut shrimp, serving of shrimps cooked your preferred way, & 2 sides), & unlimited reorders of the fish & shrimps. I am glad I agreed to Jenish’s suggestion to that plate! It was so worth it ($28), foods were delicious, cooked perfectly, & served in no time! He also did several table visits ensuring everything’s good & we have everything we need. I ended up devouring 3 fishes, & a total of 5 servings of shrimps! We left satisfied, full, & with “happy tummies” lol

We recommend this place if you’re looking for some quality seafoods, attentive service, without breaking your wallet. We’ll definitely coming back. Good job guys, keep it up

Dropped in for a quick lunch bite. It was quiet, cozy and a the food was very tasty. I definitely recommend that you check this place out for a nice lunch with a mate or by oneself

Service is really good since most of the food orders are by food delivery apps which meant it wasn't too busy inside. Our server came and asked us multiple times to see if we needed anything. They also have all you can eat fish & chips, fish tacos on Tuesday and Thursday which is good bang for the buck! 1 of my favorite seafood restaurants ^>^

I had the fish tacos and sweet potato fries and they were delicious! My family had fish & chips and crispy chicken sandwich. Great lunch deals and friendly staff! Will definitely come again when I visit Calgary

Ordered takeout. The Cajun shrimp was delicious and the cod was still crispy. Overall, would eat again.

Didnt label the boxes, couldnt tell what i paid 30 for and what was 15$. Both boxes looked the same, two sad little pieces of fish. Very small portions. The AC must have been down, couldnt sit down it was 30 degrees inside.

The take out fish and chips lunch special was reasonably priced and was well portioned. A drink option would be nice.
Nice low key local place, location is easily accessible and there is parking. Inviting atmosphere.
Good looking menu, I liked the select menu that focused on quality over quantity.
The fish and chips tasted great, I enjoyed the fries as much as the fish. Will check out other items on the menu.
Was surprised by the number of containers used, please ask if we want the fish and chips together in one bigger container instead of separate.

Fish and chips was okay, gravy tasted like canned gravy, drinks use to be free refills, now you get a can of pop with your meal, honestly it felt like a fast food restaurant instead of a actual restaurant, you use to get fresh tartar sauce with your meal now it comes in a packet, overall I don't think I'll be back it use to be really good when they first opened now it's just okay it went kinda downhill

A great little spot for decent fish and chips. The service is friendly, if not a bit aloof, but still charming.
I've never seen more than a couple of people in here but the takeout seems busy.
They do have good beer on tap. (Typically something from EightyEight and Dandy).
Try it, you'll like it!

The waitress was really kind and accommodating to our needs especially when we were trying to eat on time when our fast was going to open. Definitely recommend this place to everyone! Good fish and chips that is cooked really well.

The food and service here was really good. Whatever fish you choose will be delicious. The crispy coconut shrimp are a real treat.

My wife and I had the pleasure of having dinner here yesterday. The server provided great service and was attentive to our dining needs. The manager even came by our table to check that our dining experience was good. We had fish and chips and overall the service was great, the quality plus portion of the food was great, the price was great and the dining area was clean. I would highly recommend dining at this Joey's Fish Shack location. We will definitely return to dine here again.

The experience at the Edmonton Fish Shack was excellent, great service, amazing music, and the food is very good. We tried Joey's special fish and chips and it was well seasoned, fresh, and it came with a mouth-watering dipping sauce.

My friend took me here and they have great, fresh food. Staff was polite and very friendly. Will be back!

I had no idea this was part of the Joeys Seafood group. I loved the simple and clean decor of the place and of course you can’t really beat the all you can Tuesday night special. I also learned they have an incredible lunch special - two pieces of fish, fries and a pop for only $10.99! We had the all-you-can-eat special and the fresh, hot crunch is worth the price alone. The server was so nice and kind.

Had the lunch special - 2 piece with chips and a pop @ $10.99. Great deal, amazing quality, perfect atmosphere. Will go back!

Delicious fish n chips. Can’t beat the lunch special 2pc fish n chips at $11 which includes pop. The coleslaw is delicious. Will definitely be back. The only thing that would make it better would be if the fries were home made. Our server was awesome.

The options to custom fries on is pretty great! I get the garlic ones and it’s very tasty. If you’re feeling hungry I’d recommend the famous fish and shrimp combo

We had the dinner for 2 delivered because this is a lazy household.
Fish was crispy and hot, lots of fries, and the coconut shrimp was great. Better than most places in Victoriaville BC.

Wow! First time experience was just excellent excellent. We chose Joey's Famous fish and chips offering. The fish was well cooked and tender. The batter thin and crispy and the french fries were crispy and hot when we got home. The packaging, all recyclable, was perfect for fish and chips separating the fish from the chips. We will definitely be back and will perhaps try some of the other extensive menu items.
