Haven't had Indian food in a minute so i brought the family here. I was not disappointed. The place was clean and cozy. The service was polite, professional and with a smile. Great mexican ceaser i had mine virgin and was amazing. The samosas we absolutely smashes in seconds. The stuffed spinach tika was amazing. I ordered the chicken 65. Advertised as spicy and it actually was. My wife had the mango chicken and was in heaven eating it. The kids had chicken curry and it disappeared quickly. The Nan bread was the best ive ever had. Crispy yet soft on the inside. Ordered the garlic and also the butter. We will be back.

This is always such a good dining experience whether we're sitting in or picking up to go. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive and the food is always top-notch! Highly recommend to anyone who is visiting (or living in) the area - fantastic all the way!

We visited for lunch with a friend. We were delighted by the authentic Indian main course. The spices and flavors were extremely impressive. Superb taste and service. Perfect place for family and group parties.
Would definitely love to visit again.

Tomato ketchup. That should be on their menu. Seriously? You think you can add some overcooked dry chicken pieces to a tomato paste and call that authentic Indian curry? Total rip off. Will never eat here again.

I have gone with my whole family and friends here. The experience couldnt be betterr. I personally love this place because its very cozy and the vibe that ut gives off is just amazing plus the food. The food is to die forrr i have never eaten a better chicken biriyani anywhere in calgary that is not as good as how they make it in this place. There are many more dishes that are finger licking goodd. Till now everything I've had is just yummilisious.

Absolutely loved my visit to this Bistro! As a person who can only handle a spice level that is the equivalent of a cucumber, I was pleasantly surprised that ordering the mild spiced dish was incredibly simple to eat.

The food was beyond delicious, cooked perfectly. The waitress we had was incredibly pleasant to chat with and the amount of food we got was fantastic. I'm never one to not finish my meal so when I had gotten full and had to get the rest of my meal packed up to go, I was again very surprised. I 100% recommend this place and will 100% be returning!

Never order a Chicken Biryani! They don’t know the meaning of chicken biryani, it’s Tamarind rice with NO Rita. Useless

No caution for allergies… Chef can’t mix all ingredients together before hand and after taking money coming and telling it’s not possible.

I was surprised with their serving. It was actually a very good amount for my butter chicken and the other orders that we had! Hope they can maintain everything!

Ordered Lamb rogan josh. But it was so sweet. Like i was eating butter chicken left gravy. Scam or they need to learn to make the real rogan josh.

Very flavourful. I wish they had spice ratings because oh my? Pakora’s were very over done. Tandoori was not Tandoori. Over sold the rice. Didn’t even touch the second rice. It was an great experience with the parents because of the spice lolol overall I give it a 3.5 out of 5

I walked out of the fresco and I smelled some delightful food in the air so decided to give this place a try. It's a clean and inviting place that provided us very tasty and authentic indian food. Will recommend.

Amazing service met by amazing food. Everyone at our table was blown away by their food. We're visiting from the states, but will definitely come back for the great food on a future visit!

Disgusting food service and place the washroom smelled so bad when we were ordering food the waitress continued to roll her eyes at us and she didn’t have her hair tied up when she got something on the table her hair went all in the rice the food was inedible my whole family got sick after we left the fries and chicken fingers were cold all the food was cold in fact we found a hair inside the food and the fries and chicken fingers looked and tasted like it was put in the air fryer for 2 minutes disgusting place service and food plz don’t order from here.

An awesome Indian Bistro! Great interior, clean, comfortable and air conditioned. The food is excellent as well, flavourful without being overly salty or sweet. I highly recommend the paneer tikka, it’s really really good. The portions are good for the price, and the prices are reasonable as well. The staff are friendly and accommodating. Parking is plentiful as the restaurant sits in a larger plaza area shared with other businesses. Check this place out for some yummy Indian dishes!

One of the best I have ever tasted veg biryani, I would love to give 10 stars for the generous quantity and taste.

JPs Indian Bistro is the BEST! I have ordered from them several times and have never been disappointed. Their Butter Chicken is SO GOOD! Ordered dinner to go for my daughter-in-laws birthday and once again they did not disappoint. And the lady is so friendly and awesome! Definitely recommend!

Fantastic! Got the seafood curry mix and veggie pakora. The pakora was absolutely top notch! I will definitely be back for that little combo. Love that they actually use nice big shrimp as well. For the price there was a lot of value. We will certainly return!

I used to love this place. They had really good food and service. I'm not sure if this place is now under new mgmt but there were a bunch of things that rubbed me the wrong way tonight. I ordered on skip, they sent me the wrong order, called me to tell me, and then said they would make me the right order but I'd have to come pick it up. Told me they'd refund the dish they got wrong but then asked for the other one back. First of all in a pandemic especially, there is so much wrong with that. You're willing to ask for a dish back when it's already been at someone's house? The food itself was subpar and the whole situation just put me off this place.

Great food and great portions. Containers are always filled to the brim. Best Korma that has some fruit in it which is refreshingly different.

Below par food. Order dint match up with the description. When informed the restaurant they never bothered to call back or do anything about it.

I have ordered Chicken biriyani and lamb curry. They didn’t serve any raitha along with the biriyani. Biriyani was flavourless and lamb curry was bland.

This place used to be good but last few times I have ordered here, I have been disappointed! I am writing a review today because I ordered food to treat myself for my birthday but I was so disappointed. If you know Indian food you would understand, they probably cook a big batch of curry at the start of the day and use it for any dish, you order shahi paneer, kadahi chicken, bhindi, daal makhani, malai kofta, they use the same curry and put paneer or chicken or bhindi or kofta in it. These are the dishes I have tried. Surprised that they can even use the same curry for bhindi! Oh and also bhartha. I keep going back to them thinking something will change after the owner will read the reviews but nothing changes so I am done!

Delicious food, friendly service and reasonably priced. We had the chicken tikka masala and the vindaloo, they were both great. You can choose your spice level for each dish so you can enjoy all their dishes regardless of your spice tolerance!

Ordered a Malai Kofta and Garlic Naan. Kofta gravy was more like a sweet tomato puree, kofta was mashed potato, there was no taste for any Cashew. We ordered 3 Garlic naans, but there were less than 3 in there. On top of that, one was a plain naan. Dinner wasted, dinner time spoiled.

I’ve been here several times & their food is usually excellent but last night was a disappointment. We did a walk-in order & the person who took our order was not helpful, didn’t ask how spicy we wanted ore dishes, did not offer recommendations hope this is not the new standard.

My favourite place to relish Indian vegetarian food in Calgary. I have visited JPs multiple times and is given the name of my Second Home by my husband. Khushi is superb and always welcoming. The food is the best in Calgary. I miss JPs a lot. Waiting desperately to sit and eat in my second home when possible for me.

Always great food, and they are great at accommodating a dairy allergy in our family, and always have great recommendations for what to order.

JPs is a great spot to have, even better that it is less than a 5 min drive. Food is always fresh and flavorful. I haven't loved everything I've had, but what they well, they do really well!

Wouldn't recommend this restaurant at all. Ordered paneer butter Masala yesterday from jp bistro via skip the dishes and what they delivered was panner pieces dipped in tomato soup. Worst indian food I have ever tasted in calgary.

Beautiful location, amazing food, great customer service. Would not go anywhere else for Indian food in Calgary, especially if you like the Delhi flavours.

This is the worst Indian restaurant in Calgary, it's imitation Indian food. I would give it negative stars if one could. I ordered Spicy Chicken Tikka for take out on New Years Eve. It was a take out box with 8 pieces of dry AF overcooked chicken morsels. The meat was tougher than wood chips. I could not eat more than 1 and had to trash can the rest of the box. No side of onions, no garnish, absolutely nothing. Hate to say it - this place serves garbage. I felt like I put my $15 down the drain and was left hungry. Very very disappointed.

Food was really good. I’m rarely pleased with takeout. I will happily order again. Great job JP’s. You were able to please a tough customer!

Its one of the better Indian places in Calgary.not typical Indian, so alwaus good change. Recommend veppadu, chicken kadhai.

My family orders JPs at least once a month, sometimes more. We order it for a multitude of reasons, but usually when we feel like we've had a good day and want to celebrate it a little. We get the butter chicken and the lamb korma and absolutely devour it every single time. I'd highly recommend JPs to anyone looking for a delicious Indian meal. Writing this review has made my mouth water, so I think a call to JPs is in order for tonight!

Fantastic food. We ordered butter chicken, which was "fall apart with a fork" tender, and tandoori chicken, which was just the right amount of spicy. The Naan was very fresh. I went back for thirds.

We ordered Vegetarian Briyani today. We asked for Briyani to be spicy but not that much. The Briyani we received was soooooooo hot that you can literally see the red chilli powder as if the spices were not even cooked. We took one bite and it was like torture. Whole Briyan is in the garbage bin now. Briyani had no taste and it was obvious that the chef did not even taste the food before sending it out. I am real disappointed what a waste of money and evening. We thought we will support our local but not again made a mistake. When I called to speak to the Manager or someone the lady at the front reception said they the owner will call on saturday and today is Wednesday. NEVER GOING BACK TO JP BISTRO.

JPs is an amazing experience, we just love the friendly staff. Everytime we order something the food is fresh and cooked just perfect. We can't get enough of the butter chicken and nan. If you looking for a real Indian food experience HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

We used to live very close to JP's. The times we ate at the restaurant were quite enjoyable. The owner is friendly and is pretty involved in her community. Since we have moved from JP but would still order for pick up from time to time. I love the Lamb Saag and the Rogan Josh. My wife said JP have the best eggplant dish. Give them a try!

I visited this restaurant last night for the first time since moving to Calgary NW. Due to the pandemic it was take-out only but the lady at the counter was warm, kind and professional. My order was fast and ready, and most importantly the food was out of this world delicious! The Chicken Tikka Masala and Chana Masala were perfection, and the Fish Pankora amazing. We will be back! This is a "must -visit" restaurant!

We've ordered many times for pick up and the food was good but today we order butter chicken, chicken tikka masala.food does not taste anything even few days before i ordered chicken korma and palak paneer that was also tasteless. I don't want to write a review but the same happened is twice.i will never come back again.

We were the only table and the waitress would not come to us unless she was bringing food. We had to constantly ask for water. Food was mediocre. Tasted as chicken was cooked separately and then just tossed in the same sauce.

Food was decent, quite tasty. Entrees could’ve been better. What disappointed us was the server. She was in such a rush to take down our order whereas we wanted to take our time to eat & enjoy the meal. Her service was not up to the mark. When we asked her to replace our used cutlery with a set of new ones she made a face. So unprofessional. I think you guys need to replace her with someone more efficient, patient & professional. Other than that a one time try.there’s nicer Indian restaurants in the north east!

Food was yummy and the service was quick. On top of everything, they had genuine Indian flavors and also took good care in keeping the place nice and clean.

One of the worst dine-in restaurant experiences ever! Took an hour for our food to come out. There were only a total of 3 tables with one server. They were getting a ton of orders for pick up and the server and kitchen basically didn’t cater to their dine-in customers. When the food finally came out some of it wasn’t even hot. At this point I’m just fuming. All I got was “sorry”. Well sorry as will as I will.never come back again. There is no excuse, this place has management and operation issues. I decided to wait a few months before posting this review as I noticed the owner reads the reviews, goes back to see who the customer was.

Food is fantastic. Butter chicken is to die for! Highly recommend if you love Indian food. Service is great as well!

I found out about this place when I heard about their dine-and-dash incident. I guess there is no such thing as bad publicity. I was curious about it and just had to try it. It has become now my go-to Indian place in the NW of Calgary. I love the vibrant Indian flavours, the passion behind the food, friendly, attentive service, and the fact that they use large pieces of FRESH REAL CHICKEN without any gross parts. I am just so happy I found them. I highly recommend it. Take-out portions are generous and flavourful. PS: you must try their saffron rice. So good!

Yum delicious! We’ve tried a bunch of dishes and they are all super duper tasty. Great heat, great balance of flavours and always lovely people. Also the atmosphere is lovely too.

We've ordered a few times for pick up and the food was fine - pricey but fine. The last time we ordered for pick up I met one of the rudest persons in the restaurant business ever. When I arrived I noticed my food was packaged and ready to go at the front till area - however, no staff was to be seen. After waiting about 3 minutes I headed towards the doorway into the kitchen. Without opening it I noticed people through the small window. Still no acknowledgement or service. After another 2 minutes there I decided to open the door and engage someone for service. The rudest middle age blonde lady storms out and asserts that she will help me when she is ready. WOW! People like this need to understand that YOU are there to serve the customer, and NOT the other way around. In total I waited nearly 10 minutes to get my food that was ready the moment I walked in. Also, there was only one other table of two when I arrived. Bye Bye JP.

Food was good but the dine in experience not so much. Quantity to price is not great, and they'd even charge for onions and lemons which I haven't seen before. Waitress had a bit of an attitude. I'd recommend this place if you're not that hungry but need good food.

A real life review-If you like attitude, small portions and burnt food this is it. Very pricey for small, over battered, mostly burnt food. This is a ma and pa shop clearly but charging professional prices.

Very disappointing, there's a good reason this place is not in the NE, because it would not last a month. It's very pricey for what it is and the portion sizes, I ordered a mango lassi and got a small glass not usually a tall glass as you would normally get.
The food was nothing exciting, I was fairly pumped about this place and wanted to give it a fair shake because I live in the neighborhood. If this was the only Indian restaurant in Calgary I would drive all the way to Brooks, AB.for "Indian Pan Flame" (a 2 hr drive) it's the only Indian restaurant in Brooks and is fantastic place.

Not impressed by the restaurant or customer service, the restaurant is dirty, not clean, we found dirty napkins under our table. Glasses on our table was dirty when we asked them to replace then service pour dirty water. I wish I can post a picture of that glass of water. When the manager came, she did nothing to Resolve it, embarrassing and disgusting. Owner, please look after the cleanness of your restaurant.

Food is always good here! Haven't been here in a while, but the levels of spicy has changed for the better! We ordered mild spice and it was actually tolerably mild; it still used to be too spicy for my liking when we had ordered mild spice in the past. It was relatively quiet for the dining room but plenty of take-out orders. Owner was very friendly and chatty, but not intrusive during our meal. Definitely a go-to place in the NW.

Amazing staff, fantastic food, incredibly comfortable seats, and all around brilliant experience! Place is a must for anyone that loves Indian food or is curious about it!

One of the best places I've been to for Indian food in town, with a gorgeous set up. Had to drop the one star only due to prices.

Pick up order supposed to be ready by 4: 40pm. Had to wait there until 5: 25. Happens every time we order from here. Issues with the oven this time. Offered free desserts at least. This will be the last time we order from here, which is sad because the food was always decent.
