Stopped by with my boys today because they've gathered a couple of older gaming systems and needed a couple more games. The owner was very helpful and very attentive to my boys random questions and shopping habits; she was patient especially considering I've nicknamed one boy "random question generator"
Brutal. Just brutal. I went to sell my original Xbox and all that penny lady did is talk down to everyone. The staff, the kids, myself and even that special needs guy. It was way awkward. Yes, tons of stuff, but I left asap. She low balled the price, but I didn't care. She could have offered me her gold, I'm not supporting that.
Just for fun! Well anybody who is interested in console games from Atari, intellivison, sega, Sony, Nintendo. Coloecovision, well they have and check out their website site for buying games well done I highly recommend this store.
I always love coming to this place, it's a retro video game heaven. Always find something new every time you go! Wish I had a place like this in my town.
Just had a great experience here. Got a great deal on my trade and had a nice chat with the manager. A great place to shop for vintage and newer games!
Very friendly staff, quite obviously a family run affair and I dealt with the mom while her son was working in the back. I mostly collect for PS3 and they had a great selection of games for that console. Picked up 9 games and was able to bargain a lower price by bundling all the games together. A couple of the titles that I selected were a tad overpriced to begin with, but I managed to get them at a reasonable price by bartering. Great to deal with and you will be happy stopping in no matter what system you are collecting for. Their entire storefront is online, but I prefer the face to face bartering when searching out titles for my PS3 collection. I am satisfied with my transaction and will be stopping in again in the future.
Just stopped in today to have a talk with the owner and she had a positive attitude about the LRT so made me smile. Will definitely consider stopping in one day with my nephews.
I really like this game store, becuase they have a lot of good games, & my 1st favorite Game Store is called NexWave In Edmonton! (I'm from spruce grove btw).
Not impressed used to stop in once in a while, but after what happened today I will never go back! The owner was so rude to me couldn’t handle a joke I made with another customer while I was trying to buy a controller priced as if it was a sealed Item, and she said it is non negotiable while one side of the box is completely torn off, the foil on the cover of the box is completely bubbled up! God forbid if the controller even works I hope she reads this and realizes she lost a long time client like don’t you recognize me and realize how much money I have spent and traded in your store lady?
Greatest video game store in all of Edmonton - no doubt. Anyone who says otherwise knows nothing about anything and should have only respect for Penny. She is a goddess.
Love this place. Grab a game and take it home couple days ago and it didn’t work. So I took it in to return it. And they made me feel like the family I love shops that are not big box stores!
Walked in this store on a whim, and was very excited. They have so many games from Atari all the way to Xbox one ps4 gen. Neatly alphabetical, easy to find what u need. Owner is super nice and helpful. They're cool with restoring used scratched games. Was super pumped to find this store, will phone/shop online for more games!
Super great store! I went with a friend to sell/trade some amiibos, and had a great experience. The shop was well organized and clean, everything was in good condition. The owner was so sweet and generous. I will definitely be heading back there for all of mine and my kids' gaming needs.
Over 20 years and STILL Over priced, Penny (the owner) has been under paying for used games brought in by the areas poorer demographic and Pricing her merchandise at RIDICULOUSLY High prices at times (she uses U. S.rates) BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN SHOPPING HERE.
Been meaning to visit this place for some time, and I have to say: what an incredible place to forget about life's problems, haha! They have anything you can imagine for pretty much any retro console, as well as a ton of obscure and hard-to-find accessories. On top of all that, it's packed to the brim with original Nintendo (and other) licensed store displays you'd think you'd never see again! Today I was able to purchase a set of DK Bongos for the Gamecube, Star Wars Battle For Naboo for the N64, and a game grip for my Vita. On top of all that, the lady at the desk was really kind and helped me with all the different questions and requests I had!
Guys, you all do a great job putting the store together and are a really nice group of people! You just got yourself a new regular!:)
Karl the sales guy was super helpful today! He helped my cousin and I out and we got some really great finds! Very attentive and polite. 100% recommend.
Everything I’ve ever needed, they’ve had, and for a good price, and they remember you even if you’ve only been there a handful of times. This four-star review will definitely become a five when they pick my name for the PS5 giveaway!
[EDIT] It seems like holding a star hostage for the PS5 didn’t work, but they deserve it anyway.
Penny was super fair with me this afternoon. I was weary of selling my N64 games as i know its hard to get fair value. She worked with me on a fair price, and gave me advice to keep certain ones that she could tell, i really wanted to keep. Very sweet lady, thank you Penny, for the coffee as well!
Really friendly staff and Lee is personable. They have a great selection of retro games and they test them before purchase to make sure things are running. Definitely check it out if you are looking for any kind of classic games.
I came in to buy a few GameCube games and a Pokémon guide book. Penny was amazing and very kind, Lee was also great and was extremely helpful. I live out of town but I have family here and I will be visiting every time for now on for all my retro gaming needs. I would recommend this store to anybody!
This store is an awesome old school games store with all kinds of niche equipment. I got there right just as it closed and the owner reopened the store so I could get an original first party gamecube controller for $65, half the price it is on amazon!
Super chill place, went there two days in a row and wound up walking out with a Gamecube, a memory card, 2 controllers, Tales of Symphonia and later Harvest Moon for a grand total of $175 after tax. People here are super friendly and more than willing to negotiate to get you a good deal. Think I found my place for games.
Extremely huge selection, from different styles of consoles to old retro atari, to sega, Nintendo, to.gamevoys, to super Nintendo, Nintendo64, ps1, ps 2, ps3, and ps4's, every game and machine work I've felt with them for many years its a family run company, get you kids games a a decent price, and remember with an extremely.huge selection and good customer service
