Kal Tire

Overall we have had good experiences with Kal-Tire, however the last experience has left us with a notion of never returning.

Long story short, ensure that you get second opinions on the work that they suggest. If you are looking for new tires etc.you will be treated well, however when there are possible problems with your vehicle - second opinions matter. Simon treated me with disrespect throughout the majority of the process but was fair in the end.

At the end of the day it all worked out but for those seeing the other comments here about the work they suggest - it is true for some of us for sure! Everyone makes errors in judgement so it is good practice to get those second opinions.

Absolute worst service in history. Spoke to Nathan on the phone to help my friend who was stranded in lethbridge. Advised him of her situation needing to get her back to edmonton. Needed one tire replace. Had a minor bend in her steel rim. They advised her after she waiting an hour and a half that they "legally" couldn't sell her one tire it had to be minimum two. And required a new rim. Well I've been in the tire industry for 15 years and even worked for kaltire. All your front counter staff is trained to steal from innocent people in a stranded situation. Absolutely disgusting they wouldn't even put her spare on for her and know is stuck between driving to edmonton on a tire with a hole in the sidewall or staying in lethbridge until Monday and fountain tire can take care of her.

Some advice when booking here. The day before when you confirm the appointment yourself, remember to confirm the time, and that the mechanic has their tools to work on the most common truck in North America.

I showed up for my time, only to be told its been moved to 1130, not 930 like I confirmed. Then pay 2000 to drive away on brand new tires because this shop won't supply their staff with tools needed to do their job to complete an alignment (2021 F350).

I have shopped at Kal Tire for the last 15 years at multiple locations and this one I probably would not ever go to again. Do your job. Its embarrassing, when your staff can't do a job because the shop doesn't have proper tools.

The assistant manager needs to work on the culture of this shop, accountability, stop the excuses. And make it right.

They were super quick and helpful, didn’t oversell me, and let me know I should consider tires in the future. The person running the front was also careful to keep an eye on his people, keeping them hydrated and letting them rest from the heat

DO NOT SHOP HERE or any KAL TIRE STORE!

I have bought many tires from here and so has my family. Had good service but the last time WAS A RIP OFF!

My son had bought a set of tires and he ruined the front tires. I understand it was his fault. He ordered another two tires and asked for an alignment to fix the problem. They installed the tires then told him me needed over a THOUSAND DOLLARS in additional repairs before they could do an alignment. Decided something was wrong so I called a mechanic. Took it in a day later to another shop along with the list of repairs Kal told me about. They said the part numbers and names made no sense. After putting it in the shop they did the alignment with no issues. They did recommend some other repairs but were not even part of the steering or close to what Kal tire said we needed.

A week later I see a video on-line about a Kal tire store in BC that they told a lady the same thing about her alignment and told her she needed the same parts replaced as my son. FOR OVER $1000!

Well my family has spent well over 10 thousand dollars in tires in the last several years at Kal and I will not be going close to any of their stores EVER AGAIN!

Great service, made an appointment for the next day. Got a tire repair done less than an hour plus they cleaned all my wheels. Definitely going back

Turned an emergency into a pleasant experience! Such kind, helpful customer service. They got our car in immediately and had it ready to be on the road within an hour! Then they informed this tire fix was FREE! Because, as we always do… we buy our tires at Kal Tire! Thanks you guys!

50 bucks for a flat repair. A lot of other places around town are at 30 after checking around cuz i felt like i got ripped. And i did!

Had a bad experience with the North location, South Kal not only fixed the problems the other location caused but their service went above and beyond. Simon and his team are amazing and I’d definitely come back after seeing how much they value their customers!

Super friendly and fair. Went in for a tire rotation and after looking at tires said they were wearing evenly and I didnt need one. Saved me some time and money!

Absolutely amazing experience with them yesterday. Got a flat tire Sunday and dropped it off with Kal Tire monday morning, picked it up pretty late monday night but they were able to get it fixed same day, and they didnt charge me to fix it, they also gave me some good notes on the conditions of my tires. Super helpful, cannot recommend them more!

Oil change done very quickly and am very satisfied. Great location too so you can enjoy a coffee at Starbucks while you wait or do groceries at Superstore.

Im forever greatful for Kal Tire. They have phenominal customer service. My situation was a true emergancy, and they took my car in to have a look, and found loose lug nuts on my front drivers side. I was about to hit the highway, and would never have made it home. They were 5 minutes to closing! We fixed the problem in no time, and I was confidently on my way. Thank you Kal Tire. Your stores are always nappy to help, no matter what or when.

Was very pleased with my experience here. The front and back staff were very knowledgable and professional. My vehicle went in at the appointment time and there was was comfortable area to sit in while I waited. I will definitely be returning to this shop for any future needs.

Bright, clean, and modern showroom. I changed my mind a million different times over a million phone calls with Tracy and she never got frustrated with me. Very patient for people who have no idea whats going on, like me.

Great service from the staff and manager. Got my oil changed a few weeks ago. Would highly recommend Kal Tire on Mayor McGrath.

Fixed a puncture in my tire very quickly and the service once they got there was friendly and quick. The only downside was it took them close to 10 minutes to get out of the garage to the front desk to help me.

Stopped at Kal tire to get air in my left front tire. They refused to air up my tire without charging me for a flat repair as they needed to take tire off rim first to inspect it (money grab). I went across the street to Elrich Tire and got my all my tires checked for air pressure with no issue or cost.

Simon is amazing at Kal Tire! He is truly dedicated and professional about his job and the store! You rarely find service as great as he provides! Thank you! The entire team is awesome at this location!

I always search out the best prices and best service when it comes to vehicle maintenance, but every time I end up back at this Kal Tire location. Nice folks working there.

These guys are great! They are so friendly and helpful, and they're very transparent with their work and what they've fixed or adjusted. I always go to them for new tires and for all of my vehicle maintenance, and I will keep going back!

We had pulled our trailer from Edmonton with our two little kids when our rear tire started leaking rapidly on our Jeep. Simon diagnosed a cracked rim and installed our spare at no charge, and then answered all my questions in great detail all while being very patient with my chatty five-year-old, as well. I would come here again any time.

My fiancé’s tire was flat and he had to drive up to GP after the weekend. We needed to get new tire the guys at Kal were awesome they went above and beyond for us and found us a time that they could put the tires on so he could drive up. They didn’t need to help us as we got there 15 minutes after they technically closed but they still sold us the tires, found a time on Monday to put the tires on. They were awesome!

Good service, friendly staff. Don't try upselling things that are not mandatory but will let you know what should get done in a reasonable timeframe.
