Ethan, Aaron, and Parker at the front desk are extremely helpful. They were honest and upfront about timelines and parts availability. They were able to get my out-of-province inspection done on 1 days notice when other shops couldn’t find me in for weeks. Highly recommended

Sadly I am experiencing the same issue as others. My appointment was for 10am and it is now 10: 55 and my car is still sitting in the parking lot. As courteous and friendly as the front staff are it doesn’t excuse why my tires haven’t been changed. Do better Kal Tire.

Was told a 90 minute service and had to wait 3 hours, then they told me they’d give me a discount for my time waiting and when it come time to pay, they charged me full price. They lied twice!: (Very disappointed. The positive note they did a good job with my tires and friendly staff. I didn’t get a copy of my alignment sheet, but was charged

The guy working the front desk, I believe his name was Parker, was very professional, quick and resourceful when I wanted to price out some new summer tires:)

Went here to get my tire repaired. Service advisor was very friendly and informative. Tech that worked on my car on other hand must’ve been a 1st year apprentice or something. He couldn’t even get my tire back on the rim. I told the advisor to just put the spare on and just bag the wheel and put it in the trunk. Tech bagged the wheel and put it on my leather seat in the back, that’s not the trunk and that’s gonna ruin my seat now. Had to take it to another shop and it only took them 2 minutes to deal with it. Overall waste of my 1 hour of time they only had two tires in stock that they offered me to put on instead which were $450 per tire and also winter tires (not even in season). Even if I purchased those two winters that tech still wouldn’t be able to mount them anyway. Wouldn’t let those techs touch my car again.

Parker was a huge help! He offered me solutions and good advice throughout the process while being friendly and professional. He was a great example of what excellent customer service looks and I would not hesitate to get assistance from them again. Their great service is why I will buy my tires only from them!

Was booked in for a winter tire change and had my tires stored with Kal Tire. Mistakes are bound to happen, and coincidentally my tires were misplaced/lost and I could not get my tires swapped, to which I was quite frustrated. HOWEVER, Matthew and his team at the Yellowhead location went above and beyond to turn an unfortunate situation into a positive one and did everything in their power to make things right, by getting me a brand new set of wheels in a very short time frame. I cannot recommend this location more, and they will absolutely be getting my future business!

This is the third time they have tried to rip me and my family off. My dad goes in for a tire change on his truck for some brand new winters. As they are doing it they come out to my dad to say one of the rear wheel studs were stripped which for one only happens when you cross thread the bolt AKA the tech did it. Probably trying to impact it on. They wanted to charge him $300 for a SINGLE STUD. Which is highway robbery I told him bring the truck home we will do it ourselves. When he brought the truck home and I checked the stud it was perfectly fine. So they wanted to charge him $300 for a intact wheel stud that had 0 issues so all I did was spin on a lug nut torque it and off we went. Complete scam.

I did commercial inspection here. Before I went there. Both my mechanic and I called them to comfirm the price. It's around 350. If there is another axle, there will be 100 more. So in my mind, 450-500 would be the maximum. But when I went to get the vehicle. The bill was more than 1000 because they said to they took off the wheel to check the brake is extra. Before when we did the commercial inspection in other places. We never had this. As a big company when you need to charge customer extra, at least you should told the customer to let them know first. Cutomer is customer, they are not professional mechanic. How could they possibly know what kind of work they need to pay extra. And the problems kaltire found out is much more than those we did before. Like the rear bumper we had a hit. We were asked to fix that to pass the inspection. But it would cost about another 15000 dollar. There is nothing to do with safety. Just to make it look nice. Does it worth? What's more, I was told even I leave the vehicle to let them repair I still need to pay another inspection fee because it can't be fixed within 10 days. But the vehicle didn't go away. Why need to pay twice? The manager in the front desk didn't do anything to comfort the customer. I asked 20% off of the extra fee even if it's not my fault. But they just said no. What they did make me decide to discard the vehicle beacuse it doesn't worth to fix.

Kal tire has always been good to me, they treat me with respect and kindness everytime! I do not hesitate to recommend this location!

This place has better customer service than a 5 star hotel. Mike Watters was so polite and professional. Honestly shocked at how good the customer service was. Highly recommend this shop if you’re in Edmonton.

Tirecraft in south side have very knowledgeable and professional staffs. In last year of service of my vehicles, never once need to wait while bookiappointments. In addition, this place also provides coffee in the morning. A great place if you need to get something done for the cars.

Poor scheduling. Poor customer service. No communication.

Booked for 4pm. They close at 5pm - they told me I had to be back before closing for keys pickup. I sat there and waited as I watched them bring my vehicle in and START my tire change at 5: 05pm. They shouldn't overbook their tire change appts if they can't handle the backlog. I couldn't even leave after dropping my keys off at 4pm because I needed my car the day after - they mislead me and told me they'll get it done by 5pm, and for key pickup I MUST be back by 5pm closing. So I just sat for 1hr while they didn't start my tire change.then rushed it last minute AFTER closing. What was the point of me even booking a set time and waiting for no reason when you aren't even going to start anytime remotely near that time? !? Could have at least given a heads up on the delay instead of threatening to keep my car overnight if I wasn't available by 5pm closing pickup.

I left Kaltire at 5: 40pm - over 1 hr of doing nothing but watch my car sit in the parking lot outside, unable to leave if I wanted my car for the evening. Disappointed.

Never book your tire change near end of day. Never returning to this Kaltire ever again.

You guys know what you did. I was visibly annoyed in the waiting room for nearly 2 hrs less than 3 days ago and you never once said sorry while I was physically there. Now to act apologetic and ignorant like I was never there - if you used your brains and checked the date this review was posted & the times I listed, it would be obvious who I am.so you clearly don't actually care to resolve this issue.

Salt on the wound. I refuse to waste any more time dealing with them; save the customer service PR response.

Amazing crew and amazing customer service. I called them to ask if my SUV would need a wheel alignment done and if yes would an appointment be possible on short notice. They went out of the way to give me an appointment as I was driving 5 hrs to reach Edmonton. They did not charge me a penny after checking my wheel alignment as it did not need any adjustments. This is my second time going to them for some service and they have been amazing both the occasion. Would not hesitate to recommend them.

Wow! Exceptional service. Had 2 blow outs while visiting Edmonton. 20 minutes before they closed on a friday night. Had car towed to them and next morning 45 minutes after they opened i got a text saying my car was ready. Thank you so much for all your help. I will be traveling to Edmonton from now on for all my tire needs.

Best regards to all truck owners! I'm just sharing my experience on the service in this particular shop. Wheel alignment & installation and purchase of new wheels here & balancing = all in vain. After 2 months, the loss of new wheels and, accordingly, the payment of the entire service for nothing. I warn each of us, we earn our money by hard work, do not repeat my mistakes, bypass this business. Drive safe guys!

We generally have a good experience at this location; However, today we were booked in for tire change and an alignment. Half way through the tire change the associate informed us that because we had used there online booking system it didn't properly talk to there in house system, they didn't have an alignment booked with there contractor. He said they would try to fit us in, not explaining that it would take an extra hour or more. Disappointing that a simple request is so difficult for them to schedule properly and the poor communication.

SHORT REVIEW: 4/5 Stars, alignment and electrical issue as a result of work done, but was fixed hassle free and will return in the future to this location but request a specific mechanic when possible.

LONG REVIEW:

DISCLAIMER: I am a picky customer, I am a "car guy" and if i can do it myself, I try to because in my experience shops and mechanics assigned to your vehicle do not always treat your car the way they would treat their own. Also, the unfortunate reality is that the sales rep at the front is not always reflective of the quality of work by the mechanic at the back.

I was working with Mike at the front, who was helpful and friendly. I did tell him I had a few expectations for my vehicle before giving my keys. I wanted new valve stems, my previous tires kept and bagged before placed in the vehicle, and the alignment needed to leave the steering wheel dead centre, and if I drove and the steering wheel was off-center, I would be brining it back and having it fixed.

Got in during low season, no wait time, 8 am appointment and 3 guys working on my new tire install - went fast. 45 min roughly for Wheel Alignment.

The tires were done fast, I enjoyed that I got to see the work being done at the stools by the windows. They gave me new valve stems, as requested and bagged the tires, as requested.

The missing star is due to the alignment, indeed, when I left the shop the steering wheel was not centered, rather it was at the 12: 30 position. May not be a problem for most, but I am OCD and after a 1865$ bill, I don't want to leave with any issues. I called and told Mike the situation, he was happy to oblige and had a more seasoned mechanic (Jay, i believe) do the corrective work. I would have hoped for it to be done right from the beginning (thus the missing star), but it was solved within the same day so I am happy and respect the shop for doing so.

I will return to this shop for tire needs, such as rotations and perhaps seasonal flips. But I will also likely request for Jay to do the work, and will happily wait longer for an appointment to know the job will be done right the first time by him.

NOTE: We did have a minor issue with a turn signal bulb burning out due to a short caused by the battery being disconnected and reconnected to reset the steering wheel position sensor. I believe this could have properly been done using a shop OBD scan tool and would have avoided the battery disconnect and thus avoided the short in the bulb - regardless, they changed the bulb for me and all was well. I would hope that an OBD is used for this in the future, if possible.

This review is based on my last visit. I been there few times. There service is always fast and polite. Last time I went with flat tire and end up replacing the tire costing more than $870. I understand tire might be un repairable but sales guy tried to sell me only expensive tire. They have one of the biggest shop in the city but he said have only one kind in stock. I am also kal+ pro member. I felt disappointed this time:

Bought my tires and wheels here. Brought my tire in for a repair (nail causing a slow leak). Their repair didn't hold and the tire went flat while I was driving it. Took the car back in and they told me the sidewall was destroyed now and the tire couldn't be fixed or remounted. They then told me the spare couldn't be mounted because the lug nuts didn't fit the spare wheel and they didn't have any that would fit. So the car was stuck on the hoist and my only option was to buy a new tire from them. So even though their botched repair job cause my tire to get destroyed they just sold me another tire and only discounted it $62. Thanks so much, last time they'll see my vehicles.

Horrible service and inexperienced mechanics put my air line bushing which is what they call it but all of us know it as spring bushing they installed it wrong and insisted that they have done hundreds of this when I checked with the dealer ship they openly told me it was inside out and has contributed to my alignment to go off so I lost my front passanger side steers and this was done June 2021 3months later 50k in September i went back to kal tire not only did they not honor their workmanship they were rude and arrogant the adivsor who claims to be a manager refused me to speak to any one else higher up and claimed his the manager.so I walked out and i hope this will shed a light of their practices of not honor their workmanship and parts in closing I called back and asked to speak to a manager his name was Justin who was trying to convince me that its done like this and his never seen it this bad 50k 3months asked me to come back to get it looked at I had already lost a load and $2500 dollars is a lot of money but its not gonna put me in the poor house so good luck to all you guys who take 225 k trucks there and have to deal with this problem and no understanding from cooperate until you sue is when they try to rectify the problem I have said my piece and never going back to kal tire yellowhead location

My appointment was supposed to be at 9: 30am to swap out two front tires. They messaged me and told me that my appointment was confirmed for 10: 30am. You can't contact them at all to confirm when your actual appointment is because their phone message tells you to deal with them in person. I've been here since 9: 15am. It is now 11: 50 am and I'm still sitting in this chair waiting for them to get my truck done. Apparently, they have to cut welds and reweld it just to do an alignment or something. I'm really not quite sure what's going on but I have an interview to get to in two hours and other things to do before which is the whole reason for the early appointment in the first place. 12: 10pm and finally done. Yay.

I highly recommend this place. The staff is very professional and very caring. Mike answered all my questions as I don't know anything about tires and rims. The shop sells great affordable brand new tires and rims, as well as services such as tire rotations, tire swaps, balancing and many more. Overall, I rate this shop 10/10 in every department and will be sending my friends and family here!

Have had some previous bad
dealings with this location. When the customer service does something wrong they are hesitant to admit fault. They get rude and are abusive. I will never return to this location again.

First time I have had work done there. Very good, professional and explained everything. Friendly staff, clean shop.

I got a set of winter tires at this branch. The service time was alright. It took me less than 2 hrs for it. Matt was helpful but the only thing was he misspelled my name on the invoice. I phoned before my appointment to correct it and another guy had change it but misspelled a few letters. After the service, I only notice it when I got home. It is not a big issue because they changed it right away on their computer system. Maybe next time let your customers double check their names on the invoice for accounting purposes.

TOO LONG OF A WAIT. 4 HRS. FOR AN OIL CHANGE, ROTATE TIRES. THEN LOOK AT BATTERY, NEEDED TO BE CHANGED, BUT NEVER CALLED ME. I GOT THERE BEFORE THEY PHONED. Used there web site to select tires, drop of truck come back 2 hours latter no tires no phone call and they blamed me for ordering the wrong tires. Less Hassel to go somewhere else.

Came in for tire repair on tires we purchased here. Had Matt look after us from a phone call at home to service in store. Excellent customer service from beginning to end. Matt is definitely an asset to Kal Tire. Happy that we purchased our tires here as they have a fantastic warranty policy that they adhere to. Definitely buying tires for our vehicles here from now on.

Book an appointment for a flat repair on the LF showed up 30 mins later and still didn’t have it done, it should only take 20 min at the most that coming from a tire tech of 5 years, save your time and money and go to tirecraft where they will have it done in half the time

I have tried to call the store multiple times a day, but seem to get an automated recording and then it just stops. Anyways, I was there last week-ish for a flat, that i only drove MAYBE 30ft on, abd was told by Scott ABSOLUTELY no way they could fix it (brand new tire i bought from them a couple months prior) and was told he would prorate a new one for around 50-60$ for me as its a new tire. Not only was Scott extremely rude and condescending, he had me so angry that we took the tire elsewhere and got it patched no problem. I called later that day to order my tire, so I could keep this patched one as an emergency spare, and he told me "yes thats fine" after repeatedly asking if I could take my patched tire home after they installed my new tire. So I go in for my appointment this Saturday (August 1st) and the guy up at the front tells me no, its against policy as they need to return it for warranty. I said Well Scott promised I could keep the patched tire, otherwise I wouldn't be spending the 73$ (higher than scott told me) right now. The gentleman that helped me Saturday genuinely was upset that I was told something else, and he was going to get in trouble for giving me my tire. I asked him if the calls were recorded because im 100% positive Scott told me I could have BOTH tires. This lovely guy who helped me Saturday went above and beyond to make sure I was happy and taken care of, however I feel Scott should be the one to have the complaint. Absolutely disrespectful and telling wrong information that could get someone fired is a problem he created that he could have easily avoided.

*update, as of August 6th*
I called and asked to speak to the store manager, as Scott of all chances answered the phone, I said " no, im looking for YOUR manager" and he says " I am the manager" and i replied, "actually you are not, now please forward me to your store manager" reluctantly he did, and the manager who answered didn't seem to really care, and wasn't shocked that Scott pretended to be Manger on the phone. Please listen to the recordings. This is insanity.

My first time getting work done at this location. I came in for a slow leak in my tire (nail) tired ended up Being not repairable because it’s to close to the sidewall There was a lack of communication and my appointment ended up taking SIGNIFICANTLY LONGER than it should have. When it was all said and done another employee was honest and explained what happened and he went out of his way to make it right.
If your not in a rush I would recommend this location.

This place is a joke, told me they could do an alignment on my vehicle, so I cancelled 2 other appointments I had scheduled elsewhere who said they would have done it also. Showed up for my appointment, waited half an hr and didn't even attempt to tryand do it. Told me they couldn't and sent me on my way. Wasted my time, I'm done with this place and never coming back. Would give 0 stars if I could.

I have been coming to Yellowhead Kal Tire for as long as I can remember. They've always repaired (plugged) my tires for nothing. Yesterday they charged me $67.00 to plug a tire without any notice that I'd be charged! This will be the last time I visit them as I could have gone anywhere else and paid about half of that. Extremely disappointed

Received a call from Scott and after talking about this repair.its been made right. I will continue to use them as this shows that they will go above and beyond to make sure the customer is satisfied.

Bad experience for me. I had appointment for 8 amI brought my truck for chage steering tires, was waiting for 2 hours before guys started work on my truck. Waste of time and money.

Worst service I've ever had at this location, we store our tire with KalTire - normally when they put them on they wash them off of all the sticky gunk that gets on them at their warehouse, nothing this time. Put dirty tires on a clean vehicle and where rude and dismissive when I called to ask about it.

Worst experience on tire changing. The store texted me to pick up vehicle at 17: 06, called me at 17: 07. I was on a call. Called back at 17: 09 for multiple times and no one ever pick up my call. It was COVID-19 time and no one was allowed to wait inside. Weather was windy and rainy I am at a corner to keep warm. On my way ran back to the front door, an employee was driving his vehicle leaving. He was yelling something, while I walked to his vehicle he drove away in front of me. Leave me in front of the shop with the vehicle locked inside their parking lot. No public transit, no text, no voice mail, it’s very unresponsive with minimum communication. The employee apparently drove away intentionally, as I was the only person in the lot.

I had a tire swap service for my Honda Odyssey, and they’re trying to charge me for the price of the truck, whereas online, it's clearly said that car/van/crossover is only $10/tire. I have to argue with them to have it change and thought I was lying when I mentioned that I was quoted over the phone prior to that, and it was only $10/tire + taxes. Apparently, they didn't know what and how much product/services they are selling, needs re-training. Also, my vehicle was done and parked half an hour earlier, and they don't even bother to let me know soon. The other guy, Scott I think his name (bald head) was caught lying when he hand me a paper saying that I was sent a text notification for the confirmation Of my appointment, clearly, it doesn't say on the paper that how it was sent. I thought my first service was scheduled for 11: 30am instead of 11, I came around 11: 20am and Scott refuse to accommodate me. I have to came for my second appointment and have other service done elsewhere. The thing that they did not give me a break for the 20 minutes but had a guts to let me waited for 30 minutes simply reflects they don't care. Cheap Customer Service, NOT RECOMMENDABLE at all.

Originally, I had given a five star review, but have had to change it to a one start review. This is because they didn't follow the directions I gave them for billing, which required a significant amount of time to fix for my office staff and because of the actual work didn't finished property. And even after I brought the truck back, the work still isn't done. I will now have to pay some other shop to fix their mess.

Always get my tires here. The staff is great and they always take about 30min to do my seasonal change overs.

Only thing knocking it from a 5 to 4 star was the wait time. Truck was booked for 11 but they didn’t start working on it till a bit after 12 as their were very busy. Will continue to use this Kal Tire location going forward even though it’s not the closest to us.

I brought my SUV in for winter tire switch over at appointed time, my vehicle on the hoist within 25 minutes and was told I would be our within 1 1/2 hours. I could see staff working on it, then customer service agent advised me that one of the wheel studs was stripped and needed to be replaced. Turns out 3 of them were damaged, along with the thread on the axle nut. Kal Tire owned up to their mistake ended up replacing all studs, lug nuts and complete CV axle shaft on that side at no extra cost to me. They were very honest and various staff from shop floor and up front kept me appraised of the progress as it happened. I would recommend this location to all.

Fast friendly service. They fixed my tire while I waited. Free Starbucks coffee, free popcorn. Big comfortable waiting room. Windows to see what the Techs are doing. Gave me a quote for new tires. What more could you ask for.

Cory & Cosmos are both awesome! They are professional yet friendly. Cory took the time to listen to my issue. Cosmos provided a thorough explanation of the problem they found with my tire and had an accurate estimate of the repair costs prepared when he approached me. He double checked to ensure I was receiving the best possible price as well. Once approved by me, the work was completed in less than the quoted time frame.
They also provide a military family discount.

Excellent service and professional service! Took my Jeep in for a wheel alignment, tire balance and a rumbling noise. A competitor charged me $800 for a brake service but that didn't fix the rumbling noise. Katire mechanics drove it, found the source of the noise and corrected it with with minor adjustment. Very capable staff! Will give them all my future business Thank you!

These guys quoted me 1hour of work for wheel alignment but got it done in less than 20mins. Very impressed! The price they offer is also much cheaper than dealership's.

Needed rims after a bad pothole encounter. Got me in right away, with a decent price, and staff was great!
