Kal Tire

Staff are very friendly. I am assuming it was the supervisor/manager at the front desk most of the time. He was amazing with customers and would help his staff with anything he could. Side note I thought I’d get an oil change here since I was getting a tire rotation. I called to ask how much an oil change would be for synthetic and they said around $130.00 which is about average so that’s why I booked it. Upon paying it came to almost $200.00. Disappointed that there was a $53.75 up charge for synthetic. I guess now I know for next time and go somewhere else for that service. The convenience was nice but not for that price.

I recently had my own experience with this particular Kal Tire store, and It went well. They were professional, and I was pleased with the experience.

I have been to this location several times over the years. Always very kind, happy to explain things if need be. Really good service. Have gone there for everything from my brakes to tire repairs. Clear and concise.

Friendly staff very clean efficient service telling it straight to you with concern if it’s bad news compassionately

They offer you free rotation on your tires but if "they" see fit that your tire or tires are below 50% they won't rotate them and try to sell you a new pair.

Purchased my wheels from them and then when it came time to get the alignment they refused to do the alignment because they said that my ball joints were cracked. Took my car to my mechanic to check the ball joints. Surprise surprise. Nothing wrong. I do not recommend going to this place. They add work that you don't need and refused to do the work you do need until you pay for the "additional services". I do not recommend going to this place. This is obviously a very common practice for them.

It is very disappointing that i paid for the service yet because your busy you cannot pit my tire back. Its not my fault that you are busy that you cannot install my tire bcoz i already paid for the service. If i’ve know that you have this kind of service, i could have just went to Canadian tire. You don’t even deserve a 1 star

I went inside asking if they could fix “my problem” my plan was to get an appointment after that in case they could but immediately after I finished my question they said no and turn around back to the phone, shown zero interest in customer service.

I would highly recommend you drop in to Kaltire, they offer great value, amazing customer service, plus an outstanding warranty! Nipin is amazing to deal with!

We needed tires for our 5th wheel trailer.
We had gotten one 5 yrs ago in Edmonton not Calgary. They pulled up the record and ordered 3 more exactly the same. We were allowed to bring the rims in 1 at a time according to our schedule which was very convenient. The order was in by the next afternoon. Very polite and efficient through the whole process.

The team at Kal tire really Toole care of me today.
I am currently driving a rental car and noticed a bulge on the sidewall of one of the tires. I called the rental agency and they told me to take the vehicle to Kal tire to have the tires replaced under their account.
While I was not technically a customer of Kal tire, they went out of their way to squeeze me in without an appointment, and started replacing the tires as quickly as they could.
I will definitely be coming back when I am no longer driving a rental!

I've purchased several sets of tires from this location as I had problems with the Kal Tire in Mayland Heights. One individual has gone over and beyond expectations and has always been pleasant to deal with. Big shout out to the young man by the name of Elijah. His positive demeanor and willingness to help is the reason why I will continue to be a loyal customer at this location. Management, please pass my kudos on to him.

Nipun has been more than helpful with our cars! We had a flat tire and he helped get us in quickly and fix it with ease. Another time I needed an oil change, and he helped fix a loose bumper clamp at no charge

Came in with a punctured tire, they gave me the best options and took real good care of the situation in a professional and friendly manner. Will return for further assistance. Great job guys.

My cardholder (2 cards & Driver License) was stole by one of their employees when I left my car to exchange tires on last Saturday. I left the cardholder in the car, I found it was stole when I wanted to use it to pay. The management did not give me a satisfied answer. Although I know it is hard to say who did it, but BE AWARE when you come to this location for services, I don’t trust the employees here at all. SUCH A AWFUL BEHAVIOR. I hope the person who stole my cardholder will enjoy using it

Bought a set of tires here a while back and have had to return to the shop for rotations and patches every once in a while.
The folks here are super friendly but more importantly trustworthy.
Today the owner went above and beyond for me. The shop closes at 5: 00. I was stuck in traffic and showed up 20 minutes late. He stayed late and waited around for me so I could have my vehicle this evening.
This place rocks and I would absolutely recommend it

I've been into Kal-Tire on 32nd twice in the last 9 months to fix a leaky tire. My first visit I spoke to an Indian gentleman (possibly the manager) ; he asked if I could be there in half an hour. Once I arrived I was greeted by Beth. They Got my suv in right away. My second visit was similar asked if I wanted to go in that day but unfortunately I was at work so I made it for another day. Everyone is very personable and friendly.

Friendly and helpful staff. Quick to fit you in for an appointment and fair rates. Complimentary air pressure and oil level checks.

Very efficient. Get you in quickly. Knowledgeable and friendly and get the job done. Explain everything in a way I can understand.

Employees are great and the work I needed done on my vehicle was done very quickly and thoroughly.

Have used these guys for a while commercially. Their service and communication is excellent - both Tim and Nipun are excellent employees and take care of all our fleet's needs. Thanks guys.

I have always had great experiences at Kal Tire and yesterday was another one. They looked right after me on time and in a very professional manner. My truck felt like a new one after I left there. Thank you very much to all the guys at Kal on 32nd.

Took the spare out of my trunk and just threw things in the back like garbage. My toolkit had the tools falling out. Put the spare in the wrong place. Apparently they checked the wrong tire. They said the tire was irreparable and said I needed to buy 2 new tires but since the one that had the problem had air put in it there's been no problem with it. The wrong one that they checked also had no problem prior to this visit. I went here because my regular service provider couldn't get me in that day and I'll be bringing it back there for their assessment.

WHAT AN AMAZING PLACE! NIPUN I BELIEVE WAS THE MANAGER AND HE GOT ME IN TO CHANGE MY LUG NUTS NO PROBLEM AND WAS EXTREMLY FAST! THEN TO TOP IT ALL OFF HE DIDN'T EVEN CHARGE ME! I WILL SEND EVERYONE I KNOW HER THANKS SO MUCH KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!

I bought my winter tires to Kaltire last Oct. 2020 with lifetime tire rotation for free, almost after a year I booked myself back to the store for the tire rotation and to show some rubbings on R. Front wheel. I am grateful & amaze with Natassia’s great customer service as she is very attentive to detail and openly honest to explain things very well. It was an honest mistake they used a wrong tire size to my van. Without if’s and but’s, they acknowledge the mistake they committed. She immediately addressed my concerns and without any hesitation she offered to replace all 4 tires for the right size free of all charges and assuring my satisfaction to their services and product is their top priority. I am overly satisfied with her service, professionalism and fast actions; same as to her whole team who are very accommodating & friendly. I will absolutely recommend them to my friends & families.

Went to get a change of tires told me I had to get a new set recommended I get a alignment just to find out I didn’t really need one but alright just another $150 right there. Not great

Needed two new tires on my rims. Staff let me drop off early and final price was lower than quoted.

• My buddy bought 4 new tires for his truck and when he got it home and checked the tire pressure it was only 25 psi. When he called them they said they had a compressor problem and that was the best they could do. He has since discovered that all four tires lose 10 psi/day. The valves were leaking (he lost another day of work and had to borrow a compressor to get back to Kal Tire) They hadn't changed out the old valve stems when they changed the tires. After all of that they wanted to charge him for the new ones on an almost $1,200 tire sale and two days lost wages.

I wish I could give 0 stars. Today is the second time I show up for my appointment and they didn't have me on their schedule. Worse even! I showed up and nobody is there! And the store is closed at 5pm even though everywhere says they close at 6pm. I drove across town to make it on time, made arrangements to leave work early and all that for nothing! I can't wait to not have to deal with this Kal Tire location ever again

Very honest. My dealership said I needed some work done, but Kal Tire checked my vehicle over and confirmed I didn’t actually need an item done, all was fine. Saved me money and I appreciate their honesty!

Great service. Took my van to get tires checked as the sensor said a tire was low. Tech found a nail in a tire. They were able to fit me in and fixed it free of charge.

Came in 11/28/2020 for an inspection. Great service, and we ended up getting brakes and rotors replaced while there since Elijah, the front desk attendant, was so accommodating. He was fantastic and knowledgeable, and completely understood we can't afford everything right away that we need done and that we were prioritizing repairs. He outlined what needed to be done right away and what could wait, and gave us some quotes on tires to consider. It was a great experience, and it's the only reason this isn't a one star review.

Called 11/30/2020 to get a quote on the repairs that need to be done immediately. Whoever was at the front desk (not Elijah) seemed to prioritize profit over the customer. He talked up how much stuff had to be done way above and beyond what we were originally told during the inspection. Ie. No longer was it a wheel bearing that needed replacing, but the wheel bearing, hub, sensor, etc. Over $400 just for that one repair and we needed 3 things worked on immediately, and we weren't informed of any of this when we got the inspection done.

Then came the scare tactics. The "can wait" repairs that weren't worrisome the first visit became "if these are left, your car is at risk for lighting on fire/flipping". I don't know a lot about cars, but I knew these were only risks if the issues were much more severe than what they are (ie. Fluid leaks. There's no fluid pooling on the ground right now, so while they may be leaking, they're not major issues with major risks right now). Total we were quoted for a wheel bearing, sway bar linkage, and engine belt was over $750.

Called my regular mechanic (Auto Experts in Marlborough; I highly recommend them) and explained the same thing. Not only are they doing the same repairs I asked kal tire about for only $400, but they're also going over everything kal tire claimed was wrong to make sure that they really are issues, and helping me find tires to do me til I can afford a new set. As I thought, the "can wait" repairs really aren't as dismal as kal tire claimed. The only reason I went to kal tire was weekend availability.

It's shameful that a business would employ tactics like kal tire did, just to make a profit. It's even worse that they'd do so during covid when everyone is struggling so much.

So thanks to Elijah for being awesome, but if you don't want to get ripped off and taken advantage of; find another mechanic.

This location has NEVER let me down. The staff is amazing and they will do anything in their power to ensure that the customer is happy!

My initial experience with Kal tire was not a positive one but I appreciate that the store Manager called me and heard my concerns and offered to correct there mistake. I am glad some business still genuinely care about customer service. At the end of the day I am happy to give the store a 5star review for handling the issue. Thank you.

These people are fantastic! I had to have my car towed with a flat and they fixed it out of courtesy! Samantha is fantastic, very pleasant and friendly but professional and knows her stuff. I will always bring my car here!

INCOMPETENCE - Could not recognize 3 right sided tires and tires too small for my car!

I had mistakenly mixed up my tires with my wife's tires for a tire swap. Apparently I ended up with 3 right sided tires and 2 tires that were too small for my car.
The technician did or did not recognize this and mounted the tires - and even flipped one of the right tires to make it a left and mounted the tires that were too small.
I drove around it for a week before another Kal Tire location noticed the problem. They were amazed and shocked that a Kal Tire technician would make such a grossly incompetent error and we had to scramble to change my tires (for which I got charged again) and my wife's tires when she was in a time crunch and needed to drive to another town the following day.
The manager at the Edmonton Trail location helped us out even though they were fully booked and got it done quick which we greatly appreciated!
Needless to say, I will never go back to the Kal Tire location on 32 St NE.
Just shocking incompetence for a simple tire swap that could have left me prone to an accident on unreliable winter tires.

I had a screw on my wife’ SUV tire and staff here don’t waste time and got to it right away i’m in and out in 45 minutes.i highly recomend this Kal Tire location.and to mention costco wants me to buy 3 new tire for it

Came in for a tire repair that ended up not being repairable, they sold me 2 new tires and stayed well past closing time to finish up my car. Great service overall.

Great front staff, and even greater shop crew. Came in After they closed but they still helped me out and served with a smile today. Came in with suspension problems with my fiancé’s car and scared that it’s not safe to drive for her. They let me in, checked the tires are in place and safe, answered every questions, and smiled while doing it even if it’s past their working hours and trying to get home for thanksgiving (really sorry for that). Forgot to get your names, but this guys will go above and beyond customers expectations. Will go to this location starting today and nowhere else.

To avoid getting ripped off I recommend going into this location to get your tire works done staffs are very well educated and HONEST 5 stars. Staff named john is the ROCKSTAR of this place!

Totally taken advantage of

I bought a new set of tires for an older VW camper with stock rims. The service was reasonably prompt, but they did not replace the valve stems on the rims. I got them home and within 2 days one tire (rim from the old spare) was flat. It was clear that the valve stem had not been replaced because it showed age, none of them had. I shouldn't have to ask for new stems, especially inexpensive old school stems and most people would not know to ask. They cheaped out on $2 per tire/rim for new stems. Not impressed. Fixed it myself. Probably won't go back.

Drove from ontario and had a tire puncture. Normally goes by appointment but the guy at the front desk got me in immediately. Nice staff and great job. Highly recommended.

Car needed an alignment and I dropped by another Kaltire location close by a week prior. I asked a few questions if I can request a certain toe and camber. After I asked them, right off the bat, I can tell they did not want to deal with me as they started to give me an excuse how I cannot get a perfect toe alignment. A few hours later, they called saying they cannot get my car on the lift because the car is low.
Odd how I had an alignment done by them a year prior from the exact location. Picked up my car disappointed.

Next week I dropped by the 32ave location Kaltire and booked an appointment for an alignment. I showed them my vehicle if they can get my car on the rack. They reassured me it is not a problem as they deal with low car all the time.

The day of my appointment, they greeted with a smile and asked me a few questions on how the car behaves and how I would like it. I requested a certain amount of camber on all four. After a couple hours, I get a call from the technician on how the car was prior to the alignment and how he got everything to my request. The first thing he told me was how he kept the car with the camber I requested.

Picking up the vehicle to leaving the door was simple and a breeze.
They reminded me of the alignment that was done and told me if it is not to my liking, to give them a call back.

Was never more impressed at the professionalism and courteous service just for an alignment.

32ave Kaltire is now my go-to location and would recommend to everyone.

One of the best shops in calgary. I just got my winter changed to summer tires there. I was missing a hub centric ring got lost in another kal tire location wont metion which store. Management has promised he will get it all sorted out. Got the part I needed and didn't have to wait at all. Got the part in right away. SHOUT OUT TO THE MANAGER! Thank you very much I appreciate all the efforts and customer service from your shop!

I just wanna give a shout out to the staff of Kal Tire particularly in this branch. Just had my tire change this morning. The person in charge assisted me politely. He even open and closed the store door for me just so i wont have to touch it bec of the current situation. He was honest and gave me tips in taking care of my car. Thank you and God Bless

I love the people in this location. They have helped me with my air and pressure check for FREE. I even tried to give a tip to one of the mechanic but didnt accept it. They were genuine people. I highly recommend Kal Tire specially this location.

Kal Tire has always taken care of me. I have multiple instances when I've taken my vehicle in and they've provided HONEST answers and work. If you're looking for tires or to get work done I'd recommend them.
