Please keep your word. Maybe time doesn't matter to you but matters to your customers. If I make an appointment for a certain time I expect to get the service at that time. NOT later.

More than once Kal Tire has been exceedingly responsive, trustworthy and helpful. Today I literally teared up at their kindness and exceptional service after an unexpected flat. I highly recommend the McLeod Trail location. Great folks!

It has been great to be at Kal Tire until our last appointment at this location. They misplaced our tire change appointment and asked to reschedule even though they were the ones who misplaced it. They do take walk-ins for tire changes, isn't it? So why not fix the issue from their end and leave us a happy experience? While explaining the issue to the manager, the manager " Trevor" wasn't willing to deal with us. FYI: your staff already told us twice during the day when I phoned in to check if they could do a tire change. Your staff said they would do it and hand over the car. When I went back, it wasn't done and the manager said we already told you we wouldn't be able to do it. I don't know if you communicated with your staff about the situation, but it appeared it was again a misunderstanding from your end. Other staff members are great though.

Had nothing but problems with this location over the last couple years - including two different instances of them losing or "accidentally switching" my tires.

Terrible service; should be embarrased to claim that 'tires' is your core business
3 visits to install tires correctly; wrong tire pressue, wrong placement on vehicle, leaking, spare just tossed back into vehicle and not even securely mounted amongst children passengers

Don't bother contacting via Customer Service email; all they do is direct you back to the store to deal with the same, pathetic staff.

I really wanted to give them 5-stars, but I can't with good conscience. The front staff were amazing. They are solely the reason my review is a passing 3-stars instead of a failing 1-star. Everything up until driving away with my new tires was perfect. I started noticing vibration past 80kms, as well as my newly installed TPMS (pressure sensors) weren't working. I called and made an appointment for a rebalancing. I brought the vehicle in and it was noted that one of the tires was way out of spec (new guy, that was still learning was the reason). However, I had to wait longer than 90min because they programmed my TPMS for the wrong trim model. That added another 20-30min to my wait. I also found out that during the test drive, they accidently left the wheel lock key on the wheel, which flung the expensive lug key onto the road. The tech was apologetic, but it did bang up my new wheel key up and even though it works, it's got scuffs and dents. I did a walk around before I left, good thing I did because the technician forgot to replace one of my center caps. I like this location due to convenience and the front staff are really nice, however, I need to rethink if finding a location with better techs, that can get it right the first time is a better use of my time.

Had my front brakes serviced here recently with no problems to my knowledge. Ended up taking my vehicle to another Kal Tire location for an unrelated service. They called and recommended servicing my front brakes based on my vehicle inspection. Confused, I told them I had the fronts serviced recently and shouldn’t require further servicing. They checked in the system and confirmed this.

I went to pickup my vehicle and found they serviced the fronts again, free of charge. Although this was nice of the other location to do, it makes me question the quality of the initial brake service received here.

Bought my hakkapilittas at the recommendation of the manager Kenton, his recommendation was as amazing as the service from the team here, everything was communicated and done on time! Absolutely killed it

Honest, integrity great value. Always professional, never try to encourage unnecessary repairs. So happy to have found a service provider I can trust.

Exceptional customer service, a breath of fresh air!

I showed up late and to the wrong location for a winter tire change. They directed me to the right garage, and completed the replacement in just over an hour, disposing of my bald summer tires. The sparkling clean customer lounge with fast wifi and real coffee let me get caught up on work while I was waiting. Customer service was friendly and efficient the whole way through.

I really want to thank Jason (the Store Manager) and his crew for going above and beyond before Christmas holidays in rectifying and resolving an incorrect repair assessment and blunder created by the Shawnessy location. I have waited at least 2 weeks prior to writing this review to validate quality workmanship. Thank you again for your continued excellence in service.

I cant express my gratitude enough for Jason and his staff at the Kal Tire! I had a broken Control Arm and CV Joint, plus some burnt out bulbs. They took such good care of me and got my vehicle fixed quickly and had me safely back on the road in no time. Before they did anything to my vehicle they sent me pictures of what was wrong and provided me cost. No hidden anything and no pressure for work that wasn't necessary. The best part was that it was affordable! They did a few extras for me and I'm so grateful. This Kal Tire will have my business, trust and gratitude forever.

Happy with my new tires. Staff were helpful and able to fit me in on short notice. No complaints.

Have been told that it will take 2 hours, I'm waiting already more then three and my car is still lifted without wheels. So don't plan your day if you're here.

Good selection of tires and very friendly, through and efficient service. They were able to fit me in the same day and I was in and out in less than 90 minutes.

Brad and Jason went above and beyond for myself and family. We had our 2005 Yukon in with needed work that was overdue. They treated us with care and showed integrity throughout the project. We just moved to Lake Bonavista, so this was our first visit to this location. With a young family and just settling in, we appreciated the above and beyond communication and cross check on all work. We have been with Kaltire for 15 years and plan to stay the course. This store location treated us very well, being from a small town originally - the personal touch during the process meant a lot.

I called in a week before, as I was travelling the following week and needed my vehicle road worthy, to have my summer tires installed and another problem I needed to have looked at. When I walked in I was not acknowledged, greeted and no eye contact (3 people working), when I spoke with the technician he had no record of my tire exchange. I explained that I needed my vehicle for a long trip, they said it may be completed and would call. I heard from them in the afternoon that my car would not be fixed. I called to speak to a manager, the person I spoke to on the phone was rude. I got a call back saying parts would be ordered and I would be waiting until Monday. My travel plans were obviously canceled. I received a call Saturday afternoon saying the got a part and could hopefully fix my vehicle by end of the day. I’m very disappointed with the lack of customer service.

So, at 3: 30 on a Saturday I get around to checking air pressure on my lovely brides car for her highway trip on Sunday. Somehow I manage to damage the valve stem so that it won’t hold air. I limp it over to Kal Tire and they saved my day and my wife’s trip. Even though it was end of day, the kind counter staff got me all looked after in less than an hour. I am so incredibly grateful! I’m buying a new set of rims/tires in July for another vehicle, and I now know where I will be buying them from.

I booked my car in at this location when my schedule couldn’t fit into openings at my normal KalTire. I notified them on arrival that one of my summer tires needing patching before being put on. After they were very late taking my car in after my appointment time, I left and checked the tire pressuring assuming the best (there was no concerns). I got 5 minutes away (and luckily into a parking lot and not on Deerfoot) when my low tire signal came on. I then watched my pressure gage drop to 0 and could hear the air coming out. I phoned and notified them, they said there was no notes about a patch being notified to them or being done. They also clearly did not check the tires before putting them on as it was clearly outlined as well. After getting my spare on and returning to the shop they patched it and gave me a full refund. A very avoidable and frustrating situation, but they did redeem themselves.

Tires lasted only 20000k. They blamed me even though they did the alignment! Unprofessional! What warranty! They do everything in their power to not honor their warranty! Jason, manager? Lol. Doesn't care and doesn't have a clue. Won't be returning to any kal tire location. Going somewhere that values their customers

Rude staff. Not Knowledgeable. Always short staff. No wonder such a high turnover. Just absolutely brutal. Can’t even fix a basic flat tire and they call them self tire shop. SMH

Great service awesome people to deal with helped me with my tire repair with out having an appointment I wasn't expecting to be able to get it fixed but this location went above and beyond and ensured they found a spot for me.

Keaton was incredible and helped me pick out new winter tires for the best price for my student budget. A few weeks after they were put on I got a hole in my valve and Jason was so great with helping me get it, as well as another problem, fixed. Tires and cars can be stressful and I’m so grateful for how this team was able to help me. Exceptional service!

Kenton and the crew helped me out last minute with an emergency tire patch. Super fast, friendly, and affordable service! 10/10 would drive over a screw again.

I usually have good service at Kal, but not this time at this location. First they quoted me the wrong tires until it was already in the shop. Also they didn't warn me that it was training day. Instead of taking an hour like they said, it took twice that long. If you have other things to do, go somewhere else.

I highly recommend their service - they truly go above and beyond to make safety a priority. I woke up to find a flat tire on my vehicle and drove to two different stores to get it fixed; however, neither of them could fit me in to fix it. When I got to this Kal Tire, the gentleman at the front was empathetic, courteous and professional as he listened to my concern and frustration. Although the techs were all booked up, he wanted to ensure the safety of my two young children, and fixed the tire himself. I will be forever grateful. They will continue to get my business and hopefully yours.

Great products and services but try booking online.called 5 different times and always thrown on hold and forgotten about.not the best customer service.

The manager, Jason is a true gem! After finding out they’re not accepting Flexiti during these Covid times, I was shocked and lost for how I would pay. He gave me some time to sort out my financial situation and pay later. It warms my heart that there are still amazing people like him in this city looking out for one another. Came to this location to have my winter tires changed and they got changed alright. I was told my vehicle was sanitized before and after the change, however, half way home I realized the car was so incredibly dirty inside there was no way it was sanitized, in fact, there was visible (and tangible) dirt on the steering wheel and all around the driver’s seat. The vehicle smelled of sweat and dirt and I had to come home and not only clean but also sanitize it myself. Don’t tell me you’re gonna sanitize my vehicle and then leave an ungodly amount of dirt inside. Terrible and unsafe service.

I can’t remember the last time I gave 5 stars but certainly deserving for this Kal location. Outstanding service, kudos to Jason Hughes who made the experience easy

Jason was absolutely amazing! My tire had a bubble from a default issue and he gave me a great deal on all weather tires so I dont have to waste money come winter! He was so kind and gave me so many options so I didnt feel like I was being hassled. He made my crapy Friday so much better and I have all the trust and confidence in kal tire and I wont be going anywhere else for tires from here on out! You are amazing Jason! Thanks for making a young lady feel comfortable in an area I have no experience in! Give this man a raise! Haha

Staff are friendly and efficient. I like that they text you when your vehicle is ready. The reason I gave 4 stars is because they did not provide any paperwork or a sticker to let me know when my next oil change is due.

A heart attack with the concomitant loss of income, and my trusty ol' truck finally breaking down on me, forced me to put my SRT8 Charger on the street in winter. The car is great, but handled like a pig on a roller skate in the snow.
It handled poorly, that is, until I saw Jason Hughes at Kal-Tire, located at 9950 MacLeod Tr, S.e, Calgary.
Jason recommended a set of Continental tires, made for the snow and ice.
Thank you Jason, and all the folks at this location. My car is transformed, and will see me safely through the winter now, until I can mend my other vehicle.
In the meantime, title me an extremely satisfied customer.
The service was great, fast, and the staff a joy to deal with.
Even the coffee was good!

The best place in Calgary for Tires and after service!
It is so nice to be able to purchase tires at a competitive price, mount them on a car and then if you need after service, ie, flat tire repairs.to be looked after. If your to busy, you can even book an appointment. Great place, you'll be happy dealing with the MacLeod Trail store!

Made appointment for winter tire change. They called and asked us if we would reschedule as they were very busy. We agreed to reschedule. A tire change takes no more than 30 minutes. When I arrive they inform that it will be a 90 min - 2hr wait. Why have appointment times if you can't honor them. Most frustrating. Their response is that it says on line that's how long it is and it that way at every Kal tire. Taking my business and tire storage elsewhere

Horrible service, rude and forgetful.
I had an appointment for 1 pm, advised at check in that I am waiting for the car to be finished. Was advised that it would 90 minutes to 2 hours, my car was only taken in at 2;20 and finished at 3: 35. Considering I had a appt booked I cannot understand why the crazy delays unless walkins were taken. Was also given different stories as to where tires are stored. Also was charged for seasonal storage on my bill when I am not storing my tires with Kal Tire, needed to get that reversed off the bill. Overall a bad experience. Will not be back to this location.

I wrote the above review after I had my car serviced and ended up waiting longer than expected and had a subpar service.
I went there yesterday, the manager apologized for the less than acceptable service and acknowledged their mistake and the subpar service.
I left the store feeling better and decided to give them one more chance. And as such I have upgraded my scoring to 3 stars instead of 1.

CORRECTION- Previously anticipated excellent service and far less wait times than experienced at the previous location I visited. I was a "service recovery" customer after 2 visits to a previous store. That location proved themselves worthy a return visit and I've since tried this location. I am grateful to Jason and his team for their assistance with new tires, replacement (dealer parts), full service and careful storage of my vehicle upon request. Everyone I spoke with on the phone was polite and professional.

Returned to pick up vehicle and the item that made up for over 50% of my bill hadn't been completed. Not pleased after MUCH correspondence and being present in person to pay the night before so gave plenty of time to do it.then received a call that it was done too in the morning. It wasn't.

I recently took my damaged van to be estimated for repairs. Don was a great help with the process of going through my Auto insurance. He was instrumental in getting my claim accepted by the insurance coverage. Don acted very professional and informed me about the entire process. I have been a client of Kaltire for almost 40 years and always had exceptional service. Don is the best client care representative I've ever dealt with. I would highly recommend Kaltire. They're like a trusted family to me.

Use to buy all my tires at Costco. Kaltire has done a great job of shifting me back to a tire shop. Tires did not arrive on time beyond their control, but they made it right and very happy with the finished job. Thank you

Been there a couple times for tire changes. First time around was excellent! Staff were friendly and didn't ignore you, the waiting area was clean and fully stocked with refreshments, and they were quick with my work. I forgot to leave a review, definitely would have been 5/5.

My most recent trip wasn't as great. The staff were still friendly, waiting area was still very nice, but my appointment took about an hour and a half longer than it was supposed to. After I left I realized that they didn't give me back my summer tires, so I had to go back and get them. I was frustrated, but people make mistakes and you have to be ready for delays. 3/5.

All in all this is a really nice location and one not-so-great experience won't change my opinion of that.

Total gong show.brought my car in at 10 am.called them at 5 PM to check on the car they said it was on the hoist and would be ready at 5: 30. I arrived at 5: 30 and it had not been touched. Finally got out of there at 6: 45.
Stay away, totally unprofessional shop

Ordered new winter tires and rims from here 3 weeks ago (4 Oct) and made an appointment to have them put on today (29 Oct) at 11: 30 am. Took 2 hrs 10 mins to change-over my tires - no wheel alignment involved. The tires should have been ready to go. All seasons off, winters on - with an appointment, I reckon a half hour max. 2 hrs 10 mins on an appointment is ridiculous.

Very disappointed with my visit to the macleod trail location by southland drive. Refused to Honor there quote for rims unless my son goes home and gets the quote from them. Difference in cost was $5 per rim. Then they also said they won't install then unless we install the tpms. For another $300.on winter Steeles. Difinitly won't be dealing with them

I booked an online appointment to have my winter tires changed over. I showed up on time and checked my vehicle in. I was told by the representative that it would be about 60 to 90 minutes to complete the job. I came back an hour later to see my vehicle still sitting outside and no work had even started. When I addressed this with another representative, he advised me that a normal time frame for the job is 2 hours. I have been getting my tire work done at Kaltire for over 7 years, and it has NEVER taken 2 hours, and online it states up to 90 minutes. I tried explaining this to him and got no sense of urgency in response. I asked for my keys back and left.this has been the WORST experience with the company so far.

The appointment time doesn't mean anything. Even after being there 30 minutes before the appointment time, (for tire swaps), vehicle was outside for 55 minutes. On inquiring, first response was that we will let you know when it is done. Next time the response was that our turn around is 90 minutes. Strangely Don McKinnon, the service guy omits to tell that when I was dropping off the vehicle.
They have no regard for others time.

My dad went in to get a screw out of his tire. He was called around lunch about his tire being ready. When he arrived in the afternoon, the tire they brought out was the same brand tire, but different rims. They had done someone else's tire, oops.
What I appreciated was that they put a rush order on that tire and did the service for FREE. So, that was nice. Didn't take more than an hour after that for us to get our tire.

People in front of the desk are very nice, price is right. They even give me an advice for choosing my rim. Job well done guys!

Got a flat on my Wrangler. The flat wouldn’t come off the bolts. I called them at my wit’s end. Don drove over after his shift and helped me bang the tire off. They got me an appointment an hour later. They repaired the tire and another tire that had a slow leak. Balanced, remounted everything, handed me the keys and said, “On us today. ”

I can’t recommend these people or this company enough. They are beyond reproach.

I am very impressed with the service and courtesy that I received when I dropped off a wheel to be repaired for a leak. The tire was fixed quickly and the staff was very thoughtful in loading the wheel in my vehicle for me so that I wouldn't get dirty. I highly recommend this Kal Tire location if you need tire repair services.

This location has exceptional customer service! I will definitely be returning specifically to this location for any future tire needs! Thanks again for everything today!:)

Fantastic service - squeezed me on a Saturday when I had a flat tire even though they were completely full which meant the team had to stay late. Service exceeded my expectations!
