I didn't read any reviews or testimonies when I went there, it was -45°C in a terrible arctic front and my truck was parked at SAIT with a dead flat tire. I drove over right away and what happens? My battery dies with the winter too!

I showed up with no notice, truck parked in their lot dead in two different and exciting ways; And within an hour and a half I was on my way home with a brand new battery they rushed to pick up from NAPA plus they repaired the tire with zero issue. All still in time for closing too. It cost barely any more than if I went to NAPA and bought a battery myself which was a genuine surprise. I never expected service like that! And sorry for the Tech who drove the old girl up the ramp, you're all troopers putting up with my "baby. "

I have purchased about 5 sets of tires from Kal Tire in just under 6 years.

I have been dealing with Kal Tire 20 Ave NE Calgary for years. Some are better than others depending on the management. Today, I hit pay dirt.

Shane, 1 of 3 managers at the 20 Ave NE Calgary site attended to me Nov 13 2023 when I advised that my husband was not offered the CAA discount when he purchased $800 worth of new tires in April. I only discovered this when we were recently reviewing service docs for our vehicle.

After a misguided attempt to find stickers at the front counters advertising CAA rewards to suggest that it wasn't Kal Tire's oversight, Shane understood the error and offered me $73 credit refund 6 mos after the purchase.

That's what I call customer service!

Had a great experience before with one staff and decided to return. Then encountered a very Rude and obnoxious staff. Didn’t want to be there. No thanks Kal tire.

I have been getting mechanical services and purchasing /swapping tires at this location since 2016. Great team, alway outstanding customer service, good selection of tires.

Staff here has always been exceptionally professional and helpful. Every experience with Cody has been positive.

This Kal Tire is a stand up place.

I just went in to purchase some new winter tires and an associate there named Jason ended up getting me set up with a much better tire for my car at a cheaper price than what I was expecting.

Great quick service, went in to get new tires and sensors and they had the whole thing done in the exact time they said it would be done and took the old tires I no longer needed. Would recommend, especially being so close to the mall for something to do, and the train station for easy access elsewhere while you wait. Price was fair as well!

Great service. Fast. Fit me in with a cancellation with no fuss. Forgot the female staff name but she was awesome. When you go to other kal tires, the one on Mcleod or 42nd st they say never get cancellations (hard to believe) so you can’t just leave the car there in hopes of getting it done. North hill no problems, I won’t go anywhere else.

When I dropped off my vehicle for winter change-over I asked that the tires only be placed back inside the car if they were wrapped in plastic bags. This was not done, and now the interior of my car (front seat, backseat and cargo area) is dirty and needs to be cleaned.
Furthermore, the technician indicated that my wheels were out of alignment but didn't bother to fix the problem. When I came back to pick up my car at the agreed upon time, I was told that if could wait for another hour or more they might be able to get it done.
I am cancelling my future appointments with this store.

Took my car in for a tire repair. Ended up having them insist on me paying over 400 dollars to replace year old tires.

As other reviewers have said, don't bother with this place.

I have bought my tires from Kal tires for years. I have an older car and one of the rims has some corrosion on it which leads to a slow leak over time. About every 6 months it needs to be serviced. They always fit me in with no appointment and fix it no cost. I have inquired as to whether I should purchase new rims. Most places would take advantage and up sell me, but they were honest and said it would be very costly and not worth it on my older car. They happily and quickly just fix the problem when it arises. They also double torque tires so you don't have to come back for retorquing. Service is always professional and friendly.

This place was terrible. I bring my car in and tell them the right side tire is flat and needs to be changed. Because it was winter and sitting for so long and me driving on it not realizing it was out of air, I told them save it if we can but if not go ahead and replace it.

I come to get my car and noticed they changed the left tire and not the right. Then I asked what they can do to fix the problem that I came in for, they say nothing. I told them I still have a flat tire so why did I pay for a new one and they said that's what I told them, how i could tell them my good tire was bad is beyond me

since I brought in the car and walked outside with the guy ringing me up and showed him the problem and them still not fix it is a joke.

So taking your car here just triple check that they write down the correct info, maybe 4 times just to be sure

Another great customer service experience! Kals’ client support post purchase is always amazing! Re-torque as the dealer rotated the tires.
Then dealt with the TPMS sensor warning on my dash:
They found out the dealership over pressurized my tires by 8 psi. No problem, let out the extra air with their digital pressure gauge and dial it right in to the factory setting! Recalibrate the sensors (as my van doesn’t auto calibrate), and boom, error code gone!

I have been KalTire customer for 15 years. I am now looking for a new place to buy my tires.

I brought my vehicle to the Northhill KalTire to have them complete a seasonal tire change, swapping one set of tires on rims to the other. They had taken off the summers in the fall, and I stored them in my garage.

I received a call shortly after dropping off the vehicle informing me that the summer tires were worn and needed to be replaced. I thought it was strange that they hadn't mentioned it when I took them off in the fall. I chalked it up to a simple oversight and agreed to purchase new rubber.

Upon picking up my vehicle, I was told they could not perform an alignment as the lower control arm needed to be replaced. The service advisor told me that this was why my tires were worn and needed to be replaced. He quoted me $1500 to fix the problem, and cautioned me that if it was not fixed, the new tires would have irregular wear and would need to be replaced sooner. I declined the service and promptly made an appointment with my mechanic.

I told my mechanic what I had been told by KalTire. He tested the alignment on the vehicle and checked the control arms and coil overs. He confirmed what I had suspected. The camber was fine and would have no effect on the wear of the tires. He told me he could do the work KalTire quoted for $700, but he would not recommend it. While there was a slight camber to the tires, it was within a reasonable amount and the work was not necessary. He said he will monitor it during future oil changes and would let me know "if" it became an issue.

Trust is essential in the automotive business. Trust was lost. A customer was lost.

The Kal Tire location at North Hill Shopping Center, 1620 14 Ave NW, Calgary, AB T2N 1M6, has the very best service. I always go here and they never fail to exceed my expectations.

Great place to get work done. I was in and out within a half hour for my tire swap. Everyone was friendly and efficient. See you in the fall.

Good service in terms of delivery time and efficiency. My only complain is that for new tire acquisition, the store should get a better deal in the services, more if you are buying a 4-set tires.

Used to be a great store and I’ve purchased several sets of tires there over the years but something has changed very much for the worst.
No longer do they acre about customer service or even read the envelope you fill in when dropping off your vehicle. Apparently they don’t even check your pressures when installing tires. My car is currently at 42psi vs the 34 recommended and who knows what else was missed.
I strongly suggest you find another location or tire shop… I’m certainly not going back.

I booked my Truck in to replace the front Breaks. It was finished in just under 2 hours of my appointment. They texted me the day before to remind me and texted me as soon as it was done. Way better then waiting an entire day at Canadian Tire:)

Excellent customer service today! I went in because my car was making similar noises to when my alignment was off so went in to get it checked out. They did a check and tweaked my alignment anyway even though it wasn't off very much at all and wasn't deemed the issue of the noise and didn't charge me for it! I come here for all my tire services and I've never been disappointed, will come back again for sure.

The people working the counter are an absolute disaster. I went to go get my summer tires changed over. The person at the counter said it would take an hour max, however, I waited 2.5 hours with no phone call from them. I went back to the shop 2.5 hours later and they said they weren't able to mount my tires to my car. When I asked why they didn't call me to let me know, the lady working at the counter said they incorrectly punched in my phone number TWICE when they tried to contact me (I confirmed my phone number online, and confirmed once again when I dropped off my car). Then she asked me if I wanted a wheel alignment, even though they weren't able to mount the tires to my car? These guys keep trying to upsell you on all their services, but I wouldn't trust them to work on your car if they don't even know how to dial a phone number properly.

Got a nail in my tire Saturday morning so we stopped by to see about getting it repaired. The shop was busy and we had no appointment. We were initially told that they were fully booked. The team managed to fit is in and quickly repaired my tire to get us back on the road, and on with our day. They were extremely helpful and very friendly. I will definitely come back for all my future tire needs. Thank you

I've been using Kaltire at Northhill Mall location in Calgary for over 15 years - they are amazing! Always professional, efficient, very knowledgeable, great customer service and their work and products are the best ever!

Great experience, came in for a tire swap, mount and balance, also ordered lugnuts.

North Hill Kal Tire has professionals who know Tesla. If you need new tires or a tire swap they are the best. I am in and out in an hour and I’m confident that they have done it right. I love their tire storage as it makes that seasonal change an easy chore! Highly recommend.

This is the first place I take my car when I have any issues. The staff are very helpful and help me understand what's going on with my vehicle. I'm definitely not a car person, but these guys make me feel that I'm getting quality service and not being ripped off. Shout out to Ted who is very knowledgable and answered all my questions. This location flat out lied to me about work I needed done on my car and wanted to charge me over 1200 dollars simply to get an alignment. I think they assumed I would just pay it and agree to the work. It felt off.went to two other places to have this looked at and was informed there was no problem, alignment done just fine.

I will now never come here again despite that it is close to me. Horrible business and customer service, I'm disappointed I bought new tires from them.

Never accept their FREE service! I went for winter tire swap today, the lady at the counter asked me whether I want a FREE check for alignment, she said the alignment fee is $145, but I won't be charged if everything is ok. I confirmed with her is it really free and she said YES. It's a new car, even though I don't believed it need to be aligned, I just thought why not have a free check, if there is any problem, I can bring it back to the dealer to fix it. When I went back to pick up my car, they said they have aligned the car for me, and $145 was charged. I asked them why don't confirm with me before they do it, and they saod I have agreed when I dropped the car! I agreed to have a free check, BUT not the alignment! I have minimal knowledge about car, and honestly don't know whether my car need to be aligned or not, but I think the "alignment" they made was definitely unnecessary. I even doubt the numbers in their reports are really real, as they can edit any before/ after test result by themselves. They did not take too much care about my car as well, as they made the driver door dirty. 90 mins promise also turned out to be 3 hours. I wonder whether they are deliberately delay the return, so you don't have time to argue with them when you need to leave in hurry. Will definitly share the information through as many channels as I can!

Purchased new winter tires but had a small issue. Returned a week later to get this addressed. Once I found the right person I got the service I was looking for. A big shout out to JESSE who followed up with me, listened to my concerns and took the time to make sure that everything was explained and rectified. Employees like Jesse truly understand what customer service means.

Scammers tried to convince me that my blown tire wasn't under warranty any longer and that I would have to buy a whole new set of tires, since my model was out of date, luckily I have done a warranty before so knew what the score was. Left their store and went to a different Kal Tire (MacLeod and 42) where they swapped the tire under warranty and were just solid guys. $130 to fix vs a full new set these guys wanted to do. Be sceptical!

This is the only place I will take my car for servicing and oil changes! I’ve been taking my 2004 Acura here for years and have always had a great experience. I appreciate how the team will always explain things to me in a way I can understand. They will also list off the work required by importance and tell me if it’s necessary or not rather than telling me all of the items need to be done. Highly recommend them!

I'm really trying to like Kal Tire, but I found some of the staff a bit rude to deal with, and they seemed more intent on getting rid of me rather than helping me find a tire solution that worked for my use case.

I've been using this KalTire branch to service my brand new vehicle and to buy tires for more than 4 years now. Everytime my experience with these guys is/was great. Yesterday, I had a service appointment and I had a few issues with my vehicle too. Matt has provided me with a fantastic customer service and care. All the issues with the vehicle were fixed and the service was done super quick. I will continue to recommend this place to my friends and neighbors.

These guys are great. Outstanding service. I had a small concern after having new tires installed, and they immediately rectified it. Will definitely be coming back.

I noticed last night after work that my check tire pressure light came on. It is a 10 minute drive to Kal Tire North Hill location, so I went straight there. Vlad greeted me kindly and I said that I needed my tires checked because the light was on. This was approximately 5pm and the store was closing. Other people might just say, sorry we are closed - but Vlad gladly took the air hose and checked my tires. He said I probably ran over something that is making it leak. He took me into the store and booked me for an appointment right away. I want to thank Vlad for his wonderful customer service and kindness. Thank you. Dianna

Bought new tires and had them installed, went pretty well, but then I got a quote saying that there was an issue with my car and it would cost about $2000 to fix. I took the car to elsewhere to get it fixed as they gave me a MUCH CHEAPER quote. When I brought the car over and they told me that nothing was wrong with it. Seems to me that Kal Tire tried to con me into a service that I didn't need when I had just spent $2000 on new winter tires and had them installed there. Keep in mind that I'm a teenage girl who knows nothing about cars. I've seen other people mention similar problems with them

I would like to share the experience of our family with this business including the history of the winter tires we purchased from them. As part of our purchase we were promised free seasonal changeovers for the life of the tires.

Whenever I have taken in the car for the tires to be changed they try to charge me and when I remind them of the conditions of sale (free seasonal tire changes) they relent and honour the deal. When my wife takes in the car for the tire change they have told her once that the free change was only to remove the winter tires and did not include installing the winter tires. The second time she went they said that the free changes were only if rims were also purchased with the tires (which they were) and that they have no record of any rims being purchased by us.

Last winter, my wife took in the car to have the winter tires put on. The technician told her that it was a good job that she was having the tires changed because under the law he would not be able to let her drive on the summer tires, which he said were too bare to be legally roadworthy. He kindly showed her some options for purchase. When I took the car in the following spring I asked the technician about the condition. He told me that there was at least 2 seasons left on them.

Most recently we had a slow leak, they diagnosed the problem as a leaky valve and replaced it. This fixed the problem, but now we have another tire with a very similar slow leak. Given our history this business has lost my trust and I will no longer be a customer. Looking at the reviews from others it seems they have a pattern of how they interact with females.

I am extremely disappointed in the service provided by Kal Tire. I purchased new winter tires and in little time have gotten a flat tire. The vehicle went from the shop to my garage and no where else. When I try calling back to get this corrected you’re on hold for hours and can’t get through and even get cut off. To top it off I’m going to have to pay for towing services to get it back in the shop. I recommend to look elsewhere for tire service

I just wanted to give praise to your colleague Ryan (North Hill Shopping Centre 1620 14 Ave NW, Ca Ab T2N 1M6) and team for being very professional and very patient with me.
I booked and planned the winter tyre order and purchased 20" replica wheels and along with Nokian Hakkapeliitta SUV 9 studded winter tyres for my 2020 Lexus RX 350 F Sport.
The replica wheels arrived and Ryan was very fast and efficient in getting his team to install and mount the tyres onto the new wheels.
We had a minor issue with the OEM TPMS, which Ryan re-programmed and I drove around for an hour to allow the pressure gauge readings to appear onto the onboard computer.
I am very impressed with the service from Ryan and his team and will be bringing my other vehicles, as well as commercial vehicles for tyre winter/summer swaps. I have already informed my colleagues and they will also be bringing their business to the above shop.

Nokian Hakkapeliitta Studded 9 SUV

I had the Nokian Hakkapeliitta 9 SUV studded tyres installed on my vehicle here Calgary, Alberta mounted on 20" replica wheels on the 5th of November 2020.

Here in Alberta, we recently had blizzard conditions with anything up to 30 - 40cms of snow. The Nokians gripped ice and snow without any slipping like velcro. Braking and accelerating is done with complete confidence. Going up towards the mountain's, Banff and Lake Louise area, these tyres performed extremely well and gave me full confidence while keeping me and my family safe within the vehicle. This tyre should be made compulsory for ALL vehicles here in Alberta for winter driving conditions. This studded tyre is simply the BEST studded winter tyres on ice and snow. Top marks and First class. Thank you Nokian for manufacturing this tyre for extreme winter conditions.

Great service from the Manager. They even beat the quote from Costco on the 3 Michelin tyre comparisons for my personal vehicle and priced matched Costco on the my commerical vehicle.

Made an appointment with them at 11 am everything Checks out fine, but then tells me that one of my tires were worn out and said that he would not change it for me. Then he tries to up sell me on one of his tires I said no. The gentleman gets annoyed and said he can change three of the tires. I said no thank you just do the whole set or none at all. The worn out tire he said that he couldn’t do. Gotten it inspected by another shop and said its still good for another year and a half. It seems to me that this shop are just looking to make another cash grab I will never go there again

Had a purchased all weather tires.
The purchase of new tires was seamless from start to finish. I received a quote, made an appointment and checked my vehicle in without issue.
I received a text message sooner than I expected advising my vehicle was complete. My bill was exactly as quoted. They reviewed what was done, asked me if I had any questions.
Hnain was very friendly and knowledgeable professional, he gave me a great service, I received a great tire recommendation. I would highly recommend this store for anyone looking for new tires.

Yesterday I went there to balance my 1.5 year old wheels, they said it will be ready in 2 hours, so when I came back they said that my tires are not good and they didn't even bother to balance them, and tried to sell me brand new set. I just wasted 2 hours. Very disappointed!
Never come back again even for new tires. Horrible service!

Brought it for a wheel alignment. After I inquired about when the vehicle would be brought in, they took it in. They even went to the extent to ask for a custom alignment spec. When I drove the my car back, the steering wheel was not aligned straight even thought the purpose was to align the car.

We have gone to this location for a number of years and have experienced a steady decline in their service. We went to get our seasonal tire swap and were told it would be 1 1/2 hours. It was over 3 hours actually and had they been honest about things we would not have wasted the.entire afternoon waiting for our car. We then went in for our retorque and were left sitting there even after we went in to ask for someone to.come out. Had to go back in a second time after we watched them serve.many new.walkins after we had already waited and asked the 1st time. If you cannot manage the.demand I would suggest you hire additional staff. We will reconsider where.we go next time!

You guys are awesome! Squeezed us in just before closing so we could replace a flat and get back to Edmonton.

I have never had a bad experience here. They always want what's best for their customer and are always willing to lend a hand! Their customer service is amazing, some of the nicest people I know.

I received excellent service from Vlad! He was so helpful and went above and beyond to help me. I also received better tires at a cheaper price than at Canadian Tire, and was able to arrange the sale over the phone which was super convenient. Oil changes are also a great price at Kal Tire! Highly recommend them.

The service at this shop was less than satisfactory. I brought in my car before they opened, and at the end of the day my tires were not changed. No explanation, no apology. It took two days to do something that should have taken 30 - 40 minutes.

Great location. Never had a negative service experience here. Prompt and honest. I've never been ripped off here which is more than I can say for a few mechanics. It's where I take my car for whatever service they can offer AND there's a train station right there! Can't recommend enough.

Excellent place to go and purchase your new tires or anything else. I have been in public relations for over 37years. What has impressed me was on how he never tried to pull the wool over my eyes. I love their honesty that they showed me. A lot of places will try to razzle and dazzle me or try to baffle me with their B. S. Please do yourself a favor and see for yourself on how good they are. I was truly impressed with them. I'm 63 years old and it's nice to find good people who work hard in doing their best to help you out in anyway that they can. Garry Dupuis.

Very efficient from booking through the phone to the service delivered on the day. The winter tire install was completed by the time originally stated including a non-scheduled request for an oil change and installation of a Fumoto oil pan drain plug. The service was friendly and I received a timely follow up call inquiring about my service experience. Highly recommended.

I had the worst experience here in December. I went in and got a quote on Pirelli tires on a Monday. I was told they had to be ordered in (fair enough), I would have to pay the $80 shipping on, and they could be in by that Friday. I thought about it overnight and went back in on Tuesday and decided to order it. I was again told $80 shipping, and we booked an appointment 2 weeks away for the tire change. I thought this was strange that originally I was told Friday, but figured I'd rather be safe than sorry. The guy at the desk says they're ordered and sends me on my way to come back for my tire change in 2 weeks. Just as I get home, I get a call and they require me to pay for the shipping to even order the tires, and it's not $80, it's actually $120. I ask if they can take my credit card over the phone, and they say they aren't able to do that. Quite annoyed, I drive back and pay for them. The day before my appointment, I get my reminder text to come in. The day of the appointment (which I scheduled my work around) I come in and they don't have my tires! No one even TRIED to notify me that the tires aren't in, and they don't seem to have an idea as to when they will. I angrily leave, and get a call that afternoon that the manufacturer is back ordered and I can't get them till mid-January. I get that the manufacturer being back ordered is out of their control. I really do. But the MOMENT they take a payment for "shipping", they should know that they cannot get the tires until a certain date. Even so, there should be a process to check that a new set of tires is at the location with enough warning that customers are not showing up at their appointment without the tires. I ended up going to Blaskin and Lane which is about a block away. Ordered my tires with them on Wednesday, showed up at my Friday appointment and put them on with no issues. My dad had a horrible experience with Kal Tire too, and my family will never ever go back here

I had a flat tire. They were awesome. Everything was done in a timely manner. Ted was super professional. The team communicated everything to me.

I recently took my car to this Kaltire location for new tires and an inspection. Though it did take some time to get things sorted, overall I received excellent customer service from everyone I dealt with at this location and feel like the staff truly went out of their way to ensure that I understood the recommendations and service provided to me. Service was good but unbelievable slow. My appointment was 3pm but my car still waiting outside until 4pm. About 5 customers before me but took one hour to start changing my tire.

Their customer service is thorough and honest. They also work quickly and efficiently so the wait is not too long.
