They are really accommodating. I've been there a few time without an appointment, and they always squeezed me in.

They never scratch my car or rims (nowadays, it's a trend).

Highly recommend these guys, an other shop nearby cost me a set of rims (undertorqued the wheel lug nuts).

I had winter tires mounted and balanced at the car dealer but the vehicle had constant small vibration at highway speeds afterwards. After the car dealer would not return my calls I contacted this Kal Tire dealer and they got the tires balanced to perfection! I’ve purchased a number of tires from them in the past but went with the car dealer because Kal did not have stock of the winter tires I wanted. The quality of service at this location has always been exceptional and I would have gone with them if they had the tires i wanted - Michelin all weather which are out of stock pretty much everywhere in Alberta!

This Kal-Tire was recommended to us when our vehicle broke down on our way home from Leduc. We dropped it off and were told same day what the problem was. They told us it'd be a week before they could get to it bit ended up fixing it within 72 hours. I was expecting a huge bill but it was such a reasonable rate. I really appreciated their efficient, considerate and affordable service.

I hope we don't end up needing a mechanic that far from home again however if we do, I know where I will go.

I love this Kal tire as everyone is super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I have been buying and switching tires at this place for more then seven years and not planning to ever have the need to go anywhere else.
It must also be a great place to work as the staff is the same since my first time I have been there, which makes me feel like I am part of the family. Mike is great owner and treat his staff well.
I found this place when I was doing research on winter tires and Kal Tire was the only place to be selling Nokian brand which are the best winter tires on the market.

We pulled in in a Saturday afternoon after blowing a tire on the highway on a hot day and had horses in our trailer and we pulled into the bay and were able to get a new spare put on and some buckets of water for the horses. Fast and friendly service!

KC and his team saved our butts on a recent trip to Edmonton! The bolt came off of our car’s skid plate, causing it to drag along the ground. We drove VERY slowly to Leduc - about 50 kms, at 70 KMH, and were pretty frazzled by the time we got there. They put our car up in the hoist, fixed it in about five minutes flat, and got us on our way. Thank you SO much! Outstanding service to travellers on the Easter long qweekend.

Guess they now charge to get your wheels
re torqued. $8 a wheel
Cost me $50 to get my hwy truck done so that works out to be $10 a minute cause it only took them 5 minutes to do the truck.
And thats being generous on the time.
Would be nice for them to tell you that there going to rip you off before they do the work.

2022 March update. Fast and reliable as usual

This Kal Tire location on Sparrow Cres.in Edmonton was very helpful this past week. Our daughter on her way to the airport to come home to Vancouver hit something and bent the rim and popped the tire. We had the car towed to this location for repair. Casey was a big help and had the car repaired right away and ready for pick up for her return today. No upselling on tires or anything else. They matched the existing tire the best they could where we didn’t have to buy a second tire to match. Price was right and customer service couldn’t have been better.

I've used this Kal-Tire for tire repairs three times over the span of a year.

The service and professionalism of my first two visits were great experiences.
However, today's experience was rather unpleasant due to the condescending customer service I received when I called in at 08: 00.

Back story: On November 23rd, 2021 at approximately 22: 30 while on route from Calmar to the South Edmonton Goodlife Fitness my run-flat tire indicator prompt engaged. After reaching my destination I investigated the issue and came to find that my front driver's side tire had deflated. I decided to drive back to Leduc and leave my vehicle at this Kal-Tire as to not attempt to drive back to Calmar and risk further damage to the tire, due to the fact that I've just purchased these new winter tires a month prior to this incident. I parked my vehicle amongst the eight other vehicles in front of the store at approximately 23: 30, hid the key on the exterior of the vehicle where it would be out of sight to the general public, but easy to find for a technician. I called a Uber and got home safe to Calmar, then before calling it a night I set an alarm for 08: 00 so that I can call in first thing in the morning when they open for business.

Here is how the conversation went when I called in:

Rony: Hello thank you for calling Kal-Tire; Rony speaking.

Dejan: Hello, good morning Rony! How are you doing today?

Rony: Good, how can I help you?

Dejan: I don't know if you've noticed on your way in but I parked my white mercedes B250 in front of your store.

Rony: (Laughs) we got 50 - 60 vehicles in our lot; I didn't notice.

* side note: There were eight vehicles in the parking lot at 23: 30.

Dejan: Oh, sorry. Well, I parked my mercedes in your parking lot. (Rony cuts in).

Rony: Did you leave your keys in the after-hours drop box?

Dejan: I'm sorry, I didn't see a after ours drop box late last night.

Rony: Yeah.right on the side.there's a huge sign, can't miss it. What can we do for you?

Dejan: I left my keys.under the.etc. My run flat indicator came on and my tire will only inflate up to 10 psi, and then deplete within a few minutes. I would like it looked at and potentially repaired.

Rony: Do you have an appointment with us?

Dejan: No, I assumed because I had a good experience the other times I used your tire repair services where they got my vehicle in within a decent time frame I would be a customer again.

Rony: We are fully booked up for today, we can try to squeeze you in. You usually need to make an appointment. We close at 5: 00 but our techs stayed until 7: 30 last night.

Dejan: OK, great news. Do you have a potential time frame?

Rony: No, we will try and squeeze you in, but our techs are booked up for today. Do not call us to check on the vehicle, we will call you. If you keep calling we will put you back on the end of the queue.

Dejan: ok.

Rony: (takes my information)

Dejan: thank you, talk to you soon. Bye.

Rony: Bye.

It is perhaps harder to comprehend and understand the conversation when reading it in text with out experiencing the condescending undertone of the conversation.

I would not appreciate one of my employees speaking to my customers in this manner, and I assume the Kal-Tire management team would not support this kind of customer service either.

**Will update review once the service is complete and I pick up my vehicle. If the customer service is better in person I will raise my rating.

Over $700 for a $5 ball joint and an hour or two labor. These crooks prey on the vulnerable, we're not the first.

Lower ball joint came off my wife's old beater car and I was nowhere near my tools so we had it towed here (closest shop) on a Friday evening while we followed in my car. I assumed they would have techs working on the weekend since they were open, but I was wrong, they only sell tires on weekends apparently.

Tuesday morning they charged me $104 to tow the car 60ft+/- into the shop and claimed they gave us a deal on the towing (you'd think a shop would have a dolly or longer air lines to access the parking lot just outside their bay doors).

Then they said the first ball joint they installed was faulty, cheapest possible parts with highest possible markup ($243.95+19.95 for a ball joint that is $5 on ROCKAUTO), so I had to wait another day for the new part.

Next day it was finally ready, they charged another $143.25 for an alignment (I did my own QUALITY ball joints on my 06 Trailblazer for $60 and had a local family owned shop do an alignment for $70).

Avoid Kal Tire like the black plague, this is how these big shops stay in business, they hire green guys with minimal experience to keep wages minimal, skyrocket the price of their junk Chinese parts, and gouge anyone unfortunate enough to have their vehicle towed to them.

I'd like to add that I've been working on my own cars for over a decade and I worked at another Kal Tire location during High School as part of a work experience program. I also have licensed mechanics in my family (that aren't local) and grew up around cars so I know a scam shop when I see one.

5 stars for the safety and work.but guys break a little bit more sweat on fixing flat tires on semis.so truckers can get down the road we got miles too make.

Excellent service no issues in for a oil change and flat repair was all done in a timely fashion would recommend this Kal Tire to my family and friends

I took my car in for new tires. Previous experiences here had been good. However this time they refused to do an alignment because they claimed the car needed $2000 in suspension work (they claimed there was significant play in the suspension) plus $1000 in brakes. Without the alignment they won't warranty the tires.

I was suspicious because the car had been inspected for suspension issues less than 1 month before. After leaving Kal Tire I had the car inspected by two separate licenced mechanics, one of which was at the dealership. Both were clear that there was no play in the suspension. Both agreed that only the rear brakes needed replacing. This cost $500.

The most frustrating part was that when I spoke to the manager about this he initially refused to accept that his staff was in the wrong. He implied that I was using a backyard mechanic and asked me to bring the car back so that they could show me the play in the suspension. I am not a mechanic. I doubt I could see the difference myself between a real issue and them wiggling part of the car in front of me. It was only after I told him for the third time that the dealership had found no issues, specifically that they said that there was no play in the suspension that he backed down, but never provided a sense that he at all contrite for the representations that were made by his staff.

I honestly don't know of this was just a mistake by a tech who was unfamiliar with my particular car or if they saw two child seats in the car and the fact that I am 8 months pregnant and thought I would spend whatever it took to make the car safe without question (I will keep the car safe, which is why it had been inspected so recently).

Finally, although this is a tire shop and one would expect them to be good at putting tires on cars, they used the wrong nut on one of the tire studs. It wrecked the stud, and the nut had to be cut and split in order to get it off. The stud had to be replaced. This is a safety issue for me because I often drive to areas without cell service and if I had gotten a flat I would not have been able to change the tire by myself. I explained this to the manager and again there was no sign of taking responsibility or apologizing for damaging my car and causing a safety issue.

My wife’s vehicle was in for a new set of tires (the 5th set we’ve bought at this location). The tech came back to us with a quote for nearly 3000$ worth of work, including 3 corners of suspension work, and all four brakes. The car was already booked with the dealership for airbag work and a checkup at our own trusted mechanic, so we decided to let them confirm the diagnosis. Neither the dealership or our mechanic were able to find anything wrong with the suspension. Our mechanic replaced the rear brakes and repaired the cross threaded lug nut/stud (last touched by KalTire). We will not be using this location again and will be sharing this story with friends.

Outstanding service. Saturday afternoon late and i had 2 split rims. These guys went over and above to help me get back on the road.
I am so impressed.
Great lounge with Starbucks and a huge selection of tea.
I will look into moving my business account to these guys.

Went in for a flat repair. It was a nice customer experience. The techs were super friendly. Went to Costco and Canadian Tire prior to here, this one was far better experience.
Canadian Tire is very unfriendly and can't take appointments.
Costco takes appointments but won't repair it is slightly towards shoulder.

Time has no meaning here make sure your schedule is clear I was told 90 minutes. I got out of here 2 hours 30 mins. It should only take 1 hour to change 4 tires I mean really. Worst of all this is the second time my son had his event either completely missed or altered because of this company's failure to manage their time and do the job. Today was a basketball game last week it was his own birthday party they made him late for.

Excellent to work with and impressed that the store representative were able to remember my name.

I pulled up to this Kal Tire in my car and the man from the computer came to open the door for me. Kal tire sticks to there values. Honest is everything when it come to a mechanic shop

Super friendly service and work was done in a timely manner. Very customer-oriented. Calvin was very helpful and polite. We will definitely be back here again and would recommend this location.
