Kal Tire

Excellent Shop. Came in with a screw in the crown and needed a new tire as crown punctures are not repairable. The shop also noticed that two of my directional tires were installed backwards by the previous idiot shop in Toronto. They remounted the tires free of charge as I was already replacing my TPMS sensors. The price was very reasonable about $200 less than at the dealer. And they use quality TPMS sensors made by AUTEL. Tires were properly balanced unlike some shady shops that mess up the balancing.

Quality service here. They do what they say, when they say and they do it well. Bonus is a friendly atmosphere.

This location was great. Installed my new tyres quickly, and price matched Costco.

They did scratch a rim (very minor) but we're extremely honest and apologetic. They even offered to refer me to a place to have it fixed. The rim was fixed, looks amazing.

Hard to find a place that takes this sort of ownership and is honest. Will 100% go back.

I appreciate the integrity and commitment to serving the customer. At least a few times now, the techs have been able to save me some money and avoided unnecessary fixes in the process.

Very professional, quick, friendly service. I had 4 new tires installed as mine were 8 years old.

I’m from out of town. I had one day to get a wheel alignment done before I had to leave again and they accommodated that. When it was time to get the wheel alignment done, they were unable to do it do to a malfunctioning part in the wheel system on my car. They explained it to me, printed the details out on my paperwork, but charged me NOTHING for it. I’m not very car savvy, and to have an outfit make me feel like they’re not ripping me off is not an easy feat, but they nailed it. I highly recommend them! And this was all over and above them being friendly, knowledgeable, and professional as well.

I have bought tires from them three times now, and plan to do again. Excellent, professional, and friendly service!

One star is too much. Called in requesting an oil change, an alignment and a tire rotation, as the front tires (purchased elsewhere) were wearing unevenly and in poor condition prematurely. Asked for quotes if the tires were in too poor of condition.

Recieved a call that the truck was available for pick up and only an oil change had been completed, the alignment was not completed due to the front tires being in poor condition, no quote for new tires was provided. When I inquired again I was told to go to the original tire shop and dispute the warranty, and the advisor refused to provide any options.

A total waste of time dropping my vehicle of at a tire shop that refused to sell me tires and instead only doing an oil change. Driving 3k-5k km a month to leave my vehicle at a tire shop for a day to only have an oil change completed is ridicolous!

UPDATE: Revised my review as Tyler was able to provide me with some options/solutions going forward. May consider buying a quality product here.

I am a long-time KALTIRE customer, but this was the first time I had work done at Tyler's Deer Ridge store. So glad I did. Not only were my tires installed and balanced to perfection, but they did several mechanical checks as well. However, the thing that most impressed me was the INTEGRITY of his staff as evidence by the absence of the wheel-alignment charge. My experience with other shops is that even CHECKING some mechanical setting resulted in a charge. However, my vehicle's alignment was apparently just fine, so the alignment was not necessary. He could have charged me for unnecessary work and I would never have known. As a result, he has earned my trust, and he has another loyal customer-one who is recommending his store to everyone I know in Calgary.

Awesome staff and super convenient location. Competitive prices and the staff explained what they did.

Tried using this kal tire twice now as it’s the closest to my home. First time I pulled up with a bolt in my tire and going flat, told me they could get to it by end of the following day. It’s was noon. So ya 36h to pull a bolt and plug. Went to fountain tire and they fixed me up on the spot.

2nd time brought in a vehicle for an alignment after replacing everything in the front end of my truck. I was turned away for a pitman arm having some play. I asked them to set the toe as camber and I’d replace it after as a pitman arm is fixed part with indexing keys so it can affect an alignment being replaced. They declined. Then to add insult to injury they booked out the spot they said I had for the following day and left me stranded. I called another kal tire closer to where I was working, they laughed at them and said how they hear bad stores about this kal tire location. They booked me in the next day, did my alignment and the truck drives perfect. And it wasn’t even the pitman arm that had any play, it was the idler arm. More proof that the people has this location have absolutely no idea how to run an automotive repair shop.

I've been to many Kal Tire locations across Canada and the Deer Run location in Calgary easily is a tier above all. The service is the best anywhere. They always make sure I'm satisfied and informed before driving away. 4.5 / 5

Don't bother going to this shop they wouldn't rotate my tires even though I bought them from them earlier. Even though I have to pick up new tires later this month they would not change due to them stating their bald and that's why I needed him rotated. Ended up going to another kal tire wish they were more than happy to help. Don't bother going to this shop they're a waste of time

One of my all-time best car service experiences. I was a walk-up with a flat and ended up needing a whole new set of tires. Tyler was kind and straightforward and asked questions to help identify what would serve me best, as opposed to what would be the biggest sale. As a female in my 30’s, I’ve historically been talked down to by service clerks, and have had them try to hide bogus fees on my invoice. This was an AWESOME EXPERIENCE, especially compared to what I’m used to.

Have had a number of issues at this location. First I brought my truck in for a tire repair. They cross threaded the bolt and had to do a bolt replacement but no parts. So I had to bring the vehicle back at my time and expense days later.

2nd - sent my daughter there to get her winter tires changed. Appointment was for 11am. 12pm they call me (despite my daughter giving then her number and tell me they cant find the lugs). So already a full hour has passed and no one had even looked at it. "3 People have gone through the car. " they said. The lugs were in the glove box where my daughter told them they were.

1: 50pm she's still sitting there waiting for the car. 3 hours for an "on rim" tire change.

The service is so bad that if broke down in Deer Valley - I'd have my vehicle towed to a different location. The 400 dollars it cost would be worth it.

Stopped by for a valve stem repair. 2 minutes and no charge. Fast friendly and deserving of local support. Thank you!

Terrible service. Was across the street trying to put air in and of course the gas station air chuck wasn’t working properly and I ended up deflating the tire even more. Kal tire was the convenient next option being directly across the street. Yet their service was ridiculous and they refused to help me and my family out. Just needed air from a hose with a functioning air chuck. Unbelievable.

EDIT: Their service **used** to be amazing, however, according to their employees, after they were purchased all their records were purged and they cannot look up any of the previous work performed or tires purchased from this location. Warrantying previous work or products is impossible. Old receipts from this location lack important identifying details. Asking questions about the work performed on your vehicle is met with open hostility. Go elsewhere.

Work performed was completed quickly, and issues found under inspection were brought to my attention promptly so they could be addressed within the same visit. Great customer service; friendly and knowledgeable.

Quick, efficient and friendly service. They actually could get the tires faster than at Costco. Also, I could get an appointment within 2 days versus 2 weeks wait at Costco.

I went to Deer Ridge Canyon Meadow Kal Tire to get a wheel alignment it cost me 80$ to tell me my inner tie rod was loose that's fine I replaced both inner tie rod made a appointment to get my wheel alignment and told the receptionist that I left the clip off the rubber boot off so the tech mechanic could have a better look at it and told me that day couldn't make my wheel alignment because that little clip wasn't there that they wanted to change me more money to install that clip that place is not recommended it was the worst ExperienceI was looking at other bad reviews The only thing they can do is apologize instead of making it right And fix the problem

The team was very helpful and willing to answer all our questions. We've had a good experience with their service, especially considering we are their customers for more than 10 years.

Took my truck here, told both service advisors that two other shops had recommended ball joints be replaced. They assured me the tech who did the inspection was competent and the ball joints did not need replacing, but they would double check before replacing my leaf springs. 6 weeks later I brought the truck back because of a clunking noise when I turned, and pulling to the right which they informed me was due to the ball joints they said were fine. This issue wrecked two of my tires “beyond repair”.

I would rather set my truck on fire than do business with this KalTire again.

I needed a new battery for my vehicle and Tyler and the staff at this location made it happen quickly and correctly. Very pleasant to deal with.

I love the service and the quality of work and products at my local Kal-Tire. I’ve been taking my vehicle here for years and will keep going because it’s local, and the service is excellent. Go check em out, you won’t be disappointed.

I have to give them a low rate, I got mi tires installed in my wheels; tire pressure was wrong and they didn't tight enough the screws on my caps and didn't want to give a discount.

This morning, I drove down for a booked appointment of tire rotation.but the guy at front desk told me my car needs to do a wheel alignment at about $150. Learnt lessons from previous post of Jay O'Hara and my own on another vehicle at this branch, there was no need at all.

I said no, then the guy said that no need to do tire rotation now, maybe before winter.

That was not right because every 8,000 km needs to do tire rotation regardless what happened based on Kal Tire customer care policy. My tires run over 16,000 km already from last rotation. Only logic was because this job is free since I bought tires from Kal Tire, he tried to defer as much possible

Over past 10 years I always buy tires from Kal Tire and always visit this location and receives excellent services except for today with an unfamiliar staff.

I used to give 5 stars, but I have to give a star today (It wasted my one day vacation). Sorry.

Excellent customer service. I had some trouble with tires I previously bought from costco so I called in for some advice and options. They took their time getting me answers over the next few days over several emails. Eventually I committed and came in; unfortunately the tires had not arrived but they took care of me the best they could. I was thoroughly impressed by their customer service. All the staff were friendly, helpful and diligent. This location is literally on the other side of town for me, about a 45 minute drive, versus a location that’s about a 5 minute drive from me; nevertheless I’ll be coming here from now on. Thanks guys.

I visited the shop in the morning without an appointment. I needed a tire leak repaired and they told me they wouldn’t have time until 3: 30 so I booked in for that time and left.

I came back for my appointment and handed over my keys, and then proceeded to wait for OVER AN HOUR and my car didn’t move from the parking lot. I finally asked what the hold up was and the guy told me that they were still finishing the appointment before me. I ended up leaving without the repair - not sure what the point of booking an appointment is if this is what happens.

I’ve had many other leaks repaired at other KalTire locations and it’s always a quick 20 minute procedure with or without an appointment. Will not be going back to this location.

I really appreciate these guys they’re probably the most helpful shop I’ve ever used. Once had a flat on my way to work and they weren’t busy so they patched it for me the real amazing part was I wasn’t even late for work. Another time they diagnosed my tie rods and ball joints were getting pretty worn free of charge. I’ve purchased new tires from them and haven’t had a problem with them in 2 years! I also had a knocking from the transmission so I brought it in just to see if a tire shop could diagnose and they took a look for me again free of charge! A real class act shop.

The service that i have at this location is really great, and they know what they are doing and getting an appointment is easy and fast. Highly reccomend this location.
