Kal Tire

I took in a flat tire late Friday afternoon to Kal Tire on 42 Ave.and I was very impressed with the service.
While one person took my information at the desk the service technician went out to the back of my truck and hauled the tire into the service bay. I was offered a coffee while I waited and watched through the service bay window. The technician even brought out the nail that flattened the tire.

In very short order they had me on my way with my AMA discount.

Getting any service late on a Friday afternoon is often sketchy but kudos to Kal Tire. Fast and professional through and through. I highly recommend them.

Steven was immensely helpful! I just bought my first car, we all know that comes with questions.

He was able to address my needs and took the time to answer a question reguarding my Yaris.

Great customer experience bringing in my vehicle to get a tire repaired. Definitely coming back. Job got done in 90 min without an appointment on a Saturday.

Called these guys at 1045 am to see if they could do a four tire swap for me asap, truck was in the shop by 11: 20 with no appointment. The manager sure knew his stuff and the shop morale seemed very good. Will definitely be back when I need new rubber. Thanks guys!

No sure the techs know what they are doing here. I watched from the window as the tech had an extremely tough time figuring out how to get my spare tire down from my truck (2019, f150 raptor). An hour went by and he still couldn’t figure it out. Finally another tech came by and showed him. Once it was all completed and I paid for my bill he handed me the lock for the jack hole and stated “here I couldn’t get it back on”

Once I got to my truck all my jack equipment was scattered all over the floor in my truck. I took my truck to a dealer the next day to be properly repaired.

Great first experience at the 42nd Ave location! Got a nail in my tire and they got me in very quickly to take a look and were able to fix it! Misti and Felicia were great and I felt very welcomed there! Will 100% be going back for other services… hopefully no more nails

Great place, great staff. Misty is always friendly and happy to help and Felicia has never disappointed in her quality of workmanship and attention to detail. It's nice having a consistently reliable shop nearby.

Fixed my tire that had a screw in it while I waited and since I bought my tires there it was free

Loved the passion these ladies shared working as a team. I showed up to the shop for an emergency visit to try and find some help to align my headlights, as I was explaining the situation they offered to take a look and fixed the situation for me in a timely fashion as I needed to drive at night.these two ladies who work here are amazing, and willing to help out. I'd give 10 stars if I could!

The staff at this location are awesome. They have always taken such good care of me. I had a bad experience at another Kal location. The team here corrected the problems and warrantied it all.
There is a member there named Misty that was absolutely amazing and just handled everything. Makes me wonder why I went elsewhere. Thanks guys!

Very happy with my new tires, and the alignment I received has been excellent. On top of that, I was told to come back within 30 days for an alignment check or if I wasn’t happy with how it was driving.

While they worked on my truck I witnessed great customer service with everyone that came through the door. I have been to several Kal Tires over the years and this one really stands out. I will be back! Seems like a great team and a really positive work environment at this location, which was nice to see.

Wow! Misti and her team are incredible! I went in to change two tires, but their mechanic found some significant defects in the other two tires as well, making it necessary for me to change all 4 tires and rims. (These replacements were legitimately necessary, the tires and rims were obviously beyond the point that they needed to be replaced, I just couldn't see how bad they were until the car was jacked up). This of course, should have significantly increased the cost and turned my day into a total nightmare. But with Misti's help, we found high quality replacements for all the tires and rims, at a cost that was only a small increase from what was originally planned. In doing so, my car is now drives infinitely better then it did before, with high quality replacements, done in impressive time, and a cost that left me walking away feeling relieved. A total nightmare turned into a pleasant dream thanks to Misti and her team. Thank you all so much for doing such a fantastic job! I am now a loyal customer of yours.

The tech wore her greasy gloves in my
Vehicle and left a mess. Also failed to use seat cover. No longer the caring Kal Tire I’ve come to trust.

Had a great experience with their team. A friendly and professional group that gets you the right tires at the right price. Very nice team here, and they seem to get along great as well. I don't need tires often, but I'll need to get the car serviced, and I have friends who will need tires & service, too. I'll recommend Kal Tire every time, especially this location

Did a winter tire swap and received a high level of service from employee MISTY. She was very personable and didn’t miss any details. She also demonstrated an extremely high level of professionalism by walking me out to my vehicle. WHO DOES THAT!? Anyways, the tires here are just like at every other place so I would go back here just because of what she did. And, I know for a fact that she didn’t have to do it. She’ just trying to please the customer. Smart move on her part.

They say on their website that they give free flat tire repair. I went in for a flat tire repair, and they would not give it to me for free.

Customer service at the front desk was really good, they got me in early for my appointment which was also good. One drawback was they over inflated one of the 4 new winter tires I purchased. 3 of them were at 32 psi and the 1 was reading 47 psi which is only 4 shy from the max inflation of 51. Check your pressure before you leave the shop.

They tell you it will take 90 minutes to do the work but they don't touch your car for 1 hour on your appointments but if you shows up 5 minutes late they want to reschedule. Every time i try to call they put you on hold for what it seems an eternity. I have a defect sensor and after 4 trips here its still not fix. I do not recommend.

Painful experience getting winter tires from this location. Made an appointment in person and when I brought in my car for the appointment it was there for 3 hours before I got a call saying they didn’t have my tires in stock. Re-scheduled for one week later and my car was there for an hour before I received a call that they didn’t have my rims in stock. Apparently there was an issue with the manufacturer, but to bring my car in TWICE after making an appointment well in advance seems absurd. Finally the third weekend in a row that my car was there they were able to successfully put on winter tires. Icing on top of the cake was the worker typing in the wrong price to the POS system, overcharging me by $30 compared to what was on the invoice (didn’t realize till I got home). Manager and assistant manager were friendly and did reduce price which I am appreciative for. Still such an inconvenient and painful experience, I would not recommend.

Misty at this kal tire provided unbelievable service. On a Saturday afternoon, we got a 3 inch broken tool in our tire that opened a big hole and it deflated quickly. We knew by how fast it deflated that the chance of repair was low. The tires are a unique size on big rims so they didn't have any replacements in town and the closest would take a few days to get sent to Calgary.

Not only did Misty squeeze us in for a look, but she personally went an extra mile to put a large patch on our tire and get us back on the road in the late afternoon. I could tell by her description that it wasn't an easy repair, but she took a lot of pride in her work and the effort paid off.

Old fashioned service from a quality business. So valuable in times like these.

I just tried to call in to get a quote on winter tires. The guy at the front desk was the rudest person with 0 customer service skills. I understand it is busy season. But he said he refused to help m e over the phone and said "i know you dont understand this, but i have other customers in front of me in person and other people waiting on hold. You will have to come into the store if you want help" and i said "guess i can go to a different store" and he just responded with "okay sounds good" then hung up the phone.

I went into Kal-tire last week to get my tire patched as I had a nail stuck in the tread and a slow leak. I was quite surprised when they told me that I needed a brand new tire. I could see where the nail one was and it was just in the tread. What made me go "hmmm" was when I heard an employee on the phone with a customer tell them the exact same thing they told me, which was "you need a brand new tire, it can't be patched because it's too close to the wall of the tire". I decided to get a second opinion. The place I brought it to told me they can patch that no problem, an easy fix and was not sure why anyone else would tell me otherwise. As a result, I will never go to Kal-Tire again.

Great location and service provided!
I had a back left tire that kept leaking air it seemed and I needed a new tire else where.
(At other providers)

I brought it in and they patched it up without even thinking about putting on a new tire.

(One rep told me right away that a new tire this new does not need to be replaced and only a minor tire patching is required)

Love the honest and paying a fraction of the price.
