Kal Tire

Carolynn booked my car in for repairs last week. I show up for my appt this morning and you forgot to order the parts. You knew yesterday at the end of the day that the parts were not there and no one called to tell me. Instead, you let me come for my appt AND arrange for a friend to meet me at Kal tire at 8am to give me a ride home, then you tell me the parts were not ordered. You wasted my time and my friend's time this morning. It's unacceptable that you would not contact your customer the day before repairs are scheduled to rebook the appt. Basically, you didn't care about wasting my time & energy or my friend's time & energy by letting us both show up for an appt you knew would not be happening today. This is very, very poor customer service. I am very disappointed.

Today, one of my tires exploded on a road trip and I needed a quick fix. Knowing that it is a long weekend, and on my way to a wedding, Chris was able to accommodate and help us out. Even though it was tight for time and all his staff were very busy, Chris and his team were able to fix the tire with the most amazing service we could have asked for. I wish him and his team a wonderful thanksgiving, and if you ever need anything done, especially with tires, call KalTire in Grande Prairie.

My daughter got a flat tire that could not be fixed (at another shop) on a Saturday at 2pm.and had to be home in Edmonton on Monday. All other tire shops were either closed, didn't have the tires she needed in stock or simply didn't answer the phone.
Ryan at Kal tire found tires she needed and got her in at 330 that day to have them replaced.
Excellent service and on par prices.

Took my supra in to get the rear tires changed, the tire guy thought it would be a good idea to chisel the old wheel weights off my rays, and put deep gouges into the wheel. These wheels are nearly 2000$ CAD a piece and are not replaceable as they are discontinued. Not impressed at all. This essentially de-values these wheels significantly. I had originally asked if they had the proper equipment to deal with forged racing wheels, while the mounting process appears to have went fine, I specifically did not want them damaged. Last I checked that's not even the tool you use to take sticky weights off.

Was glad they were able to fit me in without an appt. Two tires low left 1.5 hours later all fixed

The last two times I have been to Kal Tire, the gentleman that has helped me has been rude and condescending. As well, both times, he told me I needed a new tire and because it had been driven on, probably couldn’t be fixed, when in actuality, it could have been fixed and it had not been driven on. In fact, I went elsewhere and they fixed it and it has been great ever since.
As well, my husband got tires there and they did the wheel alignment before putting the tires on and not after, so we have an issue with steering now.
They used to be very good, but I will not return there.

Pulled in for a quick fix problem and the busy but helpful CSR inflated our tires and got us out of there within 10 minutes. This shop has been available every time we go there and I highly recommend their services.

We were in town visiting family (We live in the Lethbridge area), and after our long drive up, we were concerned our tires looked a little low/soft. Got us in right away, checked the pressures, and topped us off. Thanks a ton!:)

We had an excellent experience at Kal Tire in Grande Prairie.

We broke down and had to be towed in the night before. Staff went above and beyond to accommodate us while waiting for repairs to be completed, and made sure we got back on the road in a timely manner.

Keep in mind, the diagnostics they had to perform on my truck were pretty extensive and needed to be traced down the wiring harnesses to find the fault.

Several hours worth of work, and yet everyone involved was very patient and understanding, as we had no place to go, we waited for most of the time at the store.

We had to stay overnight and go back to the store the next day; coordinating everything was smooth and seamless.

Extra shoutout to Veronica at front counter, and to the tall mechanic with longer hair & arm tattoo for going the extra mile. It’s people like you that make all the difference in stressful times.

Excellent service and pricing, they took our vehicle for an emergency puncture repair and didn't leave until it was done - even though they had to stay late! Really appreciate it. Thanks

The work was absolutely terrible; I'll be warning people not to go there. I get that it's a busy time but the overbooking was ridiculous. My car was ready two hours after the estimated time and I was told to pick it up with 20 minutes or they would be closing. I had to pick it up the next day and the guy at the counter seemed annoyed from the start. Once I got to my car, I saw that two tires had been thrown on to the backseat crushing and dirtying what I had back there. I moved them to the trunk and they all easily fit. The plastic bags used looked like they had been dragged across the shop floor and left my backseat filthy. If Kaltire offered detailing, I'd be asking for one. Once I put my tires away at home, I noticed that the same lugnuts had been placed on my winter tires; my dealership previously warned me that the sets need to be swapped to make sure they don't come loose. Something about the different alloys but that might have just been a sales pitch, i dont know. So now, I need to swap them myself. I should have just saved the money and swapped the tires myself from the start.

Wow, it took a little longer than expected but I felt safe and taken care of from key drop off to pick up of the vehicle.

Got my new Nokian Rock Proof LT's mounted and installed on the #4runner in an hour and a half. The folks at Kal Tire are the premiere tire shop in GP. Excellent price & workmanship.

Got me in fast and efficient during a full busy day beginning of winter. They even stayed late to finish all the work, I was very thankful.

They do a good job. Was very surprised when i found out they don't have a shuttle. That's supposed to be a standard courtesy for customers. I think they will get more repeat business if they provide that service. Nice and helpful employees.

As a former employee, (diffirent locations) I was still impressed by the company's commitment to the customer. Showed up Saturday no appointment. Four tires swapped over on my truck. Even reminded me I could save with my AMA membership.

Line ups are long and when suv done wasn't sure if I had to go line up again or go outside and ask guys where my suv was for pick up, kind-of icy outside for someone who is unbalanced and on LTD. Plus guy didn't write down what could be looked at? Yeah I'm confused.

Satisfied that they owned a mistake done by one of the techs. They replace breaks and rim for the damage that was done to the caliper, pad and rim from the breaks not assembled properly the first time. I would definitely recommend them especially if they honour the warranty and work.

Not pleased that I was recommended new rims for $600 when I didn't actually need them. Went to tire pro and he told me the rims are fine, they are just rusted and to go save myself some money and get hub caps. GO TO TIRE PRO PEOPLE! They will not rip you off and they are locally owned. Kal tire also has an employee who works for them who use to beat his ex wife with the kids in the house. And I highly don't support that.
