Kal Tire

Went to Kal tire to get my tire fixed. They had it done in a timely manor and Aden and Emily were very kind and helpful. Not all tire shops have been this way for me.

Wow, just had 4 tires balanced.

These tires were already mounted on rims, no pressure for timing, they didn't even have to remove them or replace them on the vehicle.

Paid roughly 500 per hour to balance 4 loose tires.

Guess they don't get my continued business. Such a shame when trying to support a local business.

In an effort to align with your commitment to transparency in pricing and customer satisfaction, I felt it important to respond in an effort to share my perspective. You suggest that Kal Tire offers a flat fee for the service I received, and I am open to the possibility that there may be a misunderstanding.

When I dropped off the wheels, I also requested and received a quote for a new set of winter tires for my vehicle. The quote I received for the full service included removing the wheels from my vehicle, dismounting the old tires, mounting the new tires, balancing them, and replacing the wheels on the vehicle. The quoted fee for this task was $20 per tire.

In my initial review, I mentioned that the tires were already mounted on rims, and there was no need to remove or replace them on the vehicle. This essentially means that only the wheel balancing was performed.

I was charged $30 per tire for the sole task of balancing my loose wheels, which is 150% of the cost for the same service that was quoted as part of the complete tire replacement service.

I have attached images of both the quote and my invoice for your reference. It clearly shows the pricing difference between the full service (which includes balancing) and the standalone wheel balancing. The evidence in these documents demonstrates that the flat fee for the specific service I received is not consistent with the flat fee for the full tire replacement service.

What may be of interest is that I immediately pointed out this irregularity in the pricing to your service representative. They too, appeared puzzled and sought clarification. After a quick discussion, possibly with a manager in the back office, the price was eventually lowered to what I ended up paying.

I offered an apology for making them feel uncomfortable by pointing out the irregularity, as it still seems counterintuitive to pay more for less.

Terrible service! This was the second time I have come here to switch my tires over and both times have been beyond disappointing. I thought maybe the first time was an off day for them but after today it is very apparent that this is just how they conduct their business. I was quoted 90 minutes for the change over, after an hour of waiting my vehicle still hadn’t been moved into a bay. I had to go and ask for a time frame which they seemed surprised it was still outside. (So they just completely forgot about me?) You are better off going anywhere else unless you want to completely waste an afternoon.

Took my vehicle in to have tires mounted on rims and put back on.

Got a phone call from someone working on it, saying my shocks are all toast and my brake pads were close to failure point. And asking if they wanted them to take care of that for me at the time.

Had a mechanic friend check both reported issues. Only 1 shock needed to be changed, and the brake pads were at 85% pad left.

Not sure if they tried to scam me because I'm a woman, or if they try and scam everyone.

Would not recommend.

They had a technician driving my standard truck that did NOT know how to drive a standard, they also could not crack my wheel nuts to replace my tires. So I wasted two hours, drove 45 minutes and had someone UN-TRAINED grinding gears in my truck… when I voiced my concerns to the employees working behind the counter they did not seem to care. And would not do anything to resolve the issue. I asked if they where happy having a customer leave un pleased and they said they did not care. I took my business down the road to FOUNTAIN TIRE and was in and out in less than 1 hour!

Top tier service! Kind and courteous, this Kaltire always knows how to take care of my vehicle. Quality service every time. Strongly recommend!

Fast and friendly service. Needed a patch for a screw in my tire and they got me in and out in time for work. Highly recommend.

I brought my stepdaughter's vehicle in for a tire Aliment the service was okay when I brought it in but when I went to pick it up nothing was explained to me how much it was out. I had to ask to see the service sheet and still was not explained much about it.the counter person was more worried about getting payment than explaining to me what was done.
There are many more shops in the Fort. Next time I'll give someone else my business.

Great staff! Its hard to find a shop that runs as smoothly as how the manager runs it. I know when I bring my truck there its in good hands and their Head mechanic is awesome!

Showed up unannounced kal tire took me in n fixed both my tires with no questions asked did a fantastic job tyvm recommended

I got an alignment from this shop. They didn’t do a proper job and I wore out my new tire in less than 20k. Then said I didn’t rotate the tires and basically blamed me for they’re mistake. That’s after driving my car for 8 months. Would not recommend this shop to anybody.

Thank you to Leo Mateo and the Kal Tire team. We came limping in after driving over 4000 km turned out to be a steering column issue fixed up for a steal of a price. Love the Kal Tire chain! Always reliable and reasonable.

Called and needed 4 tires done asap! Got them installed in less than 2 hrs and back on the road! Great service!

A tire and wheel shop that can’t do a wheel alignment if you have a leveling kit on your truck.

Stopped in to try to have my tire pressure monitors re-learned as they're throwing warning lights on my dash. Darcy at the front desk was quick to help me out and grabbed one of the technicians to assist. Gage in the shop was great to deal with, unfortunately we weren't able to fix the problem but I appreciated their efforts and great customer service!

Forgot to put valve stem caps on, forgot to return winter tire take offs, told us we needed new brakes when the brakes were just done 20000km ago

Such a great place! Recently purchased 4 new tires here. Staff is very helpful and friendly. They get the work done correctly, fast, and for an affordable price.

They do good fast work. Very happy with how they treated me and accommodated what I needed. I appreciate the respect the give every customer they see. Sometimes it takes longer then expected but it’s done right.
