I absolutely adore the customer service reps at Kal tire this location and the one off yellow head and 140th.they are simply amazing, curtious, reliable, and just honestly one of the only places I have taken any and all of my vehicles too for tires and servicing.but during this miserably cold snap we r having I couldn't find an air compressor to fill my seriously low tire in this cold that wasn't frozen solid and not working and the only place I could think to go for help was kaltire.they took me in in less that ten min checked all my tires and filled the flat for me and did it for free mind you I buy my tires from them but I know if in an emergency you just need air in a tire these amazingly busy folks will always make time to help a desperate soul in need of a little help and they do it with a smile that genuinely makes you want to come back everything and a free coffee while you wait is always a blessing. In the cold.

Everyone here was so nice! After getting a flat tire when in Edmonton, they pumped it in -40 weather for free for us. That’s customer loyalty and service!

A senior lady had a flat tire on the front of kal tire. I went to the lady and gentleman at the counter and I asked if they can help her. With no hesitation they agreed to help with no charge. I am a regular customer and this location never disappointed me. Thank you again

I am thoroughly disappointed in the downfall of service I received in this past month.

I booked a simple, regular seasonal tire change over before a trip I was taking out of town.
Before the appointment (in the Leduc location) my sensors were absolutely fine and my vehicle was operating perfectly well.
It’s a 2020, I drive A LOT for work and I hold a high standard for a reliable, working vehicle.
After my appointment, the check engine light was on, prompted by the TPS sensor.
I was advised to drive around for 20 minutes so that the reader could pick up the tire pressure. At no time was I advised of the “dead battery in the sensor”.
I drove around and revisited the store, advising once again that the check engine light was still on. They “re-set the reader” and sent me on my way stating that it should pick up the tire if I drove for another 20 minutes.
I don’t have all day to drive around or the money at my disposal to drive simply for leisure.
The next day, to no avail, the check engine light was still on. I had to leave for my trip and drove several hundred kilometres, anxiously with the check engine light still on.
This is unacceptable.
I booked a different appointment at the northside, Albany location to get this sorted out.
I explained the situation and notified them that I felt it was odd that my vehicle was perfectly fine before I took my vehicle to Leduc.
I was advised that there is no way that the techs could have broken my sensor while doing the tire rotation but that they would look into it. Ok, no problem. THREE hours later (I waited in the lobby), I was advised that I had a slow leak in a separate tire and that the original sensor that was broken had a dead battery… those batteries should last up to 10 years so this baffled me that it happened to die the very same day and hour my car was being worked on… not suspicious at all…
I asked that the tire be repaired and was advised to get the sensor battery replaced at my dealership. Great, booked an appointment for that.
During the tire repair, the North Side location BROKE a TPS sensor on another tire. Perfect. Now I’m REALLY stressing, driving around with not only ONE sensor down, but TWO until my scheduled appointment at my dealership. Even though I was advised that there is no way that the original tech could have broken the ORIGINAL broken sensor.
Not a happy customer. Currently would not recommend this company, at any location.

Bought the Nokian winter tires from this location. These tires are directional and just noticed one of them are not mounted on the rims properly (Wrong direction) This is our second winter with these tires. Based on the pattern, instead of dispersing snow from front to back/side, its collecting snow and into the centre.

Kal Tire is awesome. All of my experiences with them have been great: friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable staff, with extremely efficient service! Very clean and welcoming atmosphere as well. Thanks, Kal Tire!

Staff is friendly I think oil changes are a little on the high side and after they service your vehicle they tend not to lock the doors which I don't like.

This place is so nice. Everytime I go I feel like the work was done right and I didn’t get cheated. The man who did my tire swap was so nice. I am sorry cause I think my dog peed on the tires before I brought them in. Thank you.:)

The staff was very friendly, however, I booked an appointment to have my all season tires changed over into my winter tires. My appointment was for 4pm I arrived at 3: 15 hoping they might be able to get me in early and if not that’s ok. 5: 15 and my car is still not even in the shop, I normally go to Costco but thought I would try Kal tire cause it’s close to my house and I had an appointment so figured it would be on time. Back to Costco for me for the spring change over.

Just wanted to stay the staff contacted me and explained what happened and why there was such a delay. Nice of them to contact me regarding my concerns.

What's the point of having a appointment if you got to wait 2hours+!? !? !? !? ! They realize I was quite disappointed with the wait and give me 10% off, it's better than nothing, that's why I give the now 3 stars instead of 1.

This team at Albany Kal Tire on the north side, they went above and beyond to put my repaired tire back on my vehicle, even after they had closed due to my time constraints of not being able to leave work early enough to have them installed. Three gentlemen wordlessly decided they were going to stay late and help me out. It was pretty amazing of them. I would 100-% recommend this location. Thank you!

If you ever get this gentleman named Leo Mateo to help you, save yourself the hassles and shop elsewhere like Costco for better customer service. From a simple tire patch repair to playing victim when get confronted for losing your stuff. Straight no shame.

This place has gone downhill since I first went here. As of now ive been in twice in 4 days trying to get an alignment done. Aside from them absolutely lying about spindles being seized because they think people wont know, to the fact that after 2 attempts the alignment is still a few degrees off.
Oh yeah and idk what kind of "automotive" CLR they use but its garbage, this is Canada use honey goo or liquid wrench.

Service was good and very fast. But they seemed a little overwhelmed as if they needed more staff on at tire change season

Booked an appointment to fix a flat tire, called me back after 30 mins said there’s no puncture. I have to bring to another tire shop the next day to get the flat tire fixed. They almost charged me for not doing anything. Unprofessional from the technician, won’t go back again.

Brought my tire in multiple times due to it going flat hoping they could fix it.every time they told me “nothing was wrong with my tire” when obviously there was something wrong if it kept going flat within 24 hours of getting it back.they said they did every test they could and swore up and down they couldnt find anything wrong.they even rotated them incase it was someone letting air out of it but even then the same tire went flat. THREE TIMES i brought this SAME tire in.i finally had enough and took it somewhere else and they found the leak and fixed it within 20 minutes. HORRIBLE service.

Very professional awesome group of guys in the back such hard workers they are the best workers ever, shoutout to you guys for doing the best ever on my car would recommend every single person in Canada to bring their car here …. The front desk is amazing also but the guys working on your car go out of their way to please the customer. Just the most amazing guys you will ever meet in your life

Really professional staff, they serve you with great kindness and efficiency, and above all honest; Last year I went to the nearest kal tire and they presented me with a list of repairs that they had to make to the vehicle which was over $2000 and due to that reason they could not carry out the alignment. I took the same vehicle the same day to Kal Tire located 12936 167 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB T6V 1J6 and with report in hand they showed me that the vehicle was in perfect condition and did not need any alignment.

I bought brand new winter tire set here and installed it weeks ago. They extra charged me $150 for 4 months old brand new Toyota suv as “wheel alignment” N didn’t provide a report about.
Also they told me they can finish it before 5pm if I drop it off early morning… but i was able to pick it up around 6: 15pm… had to wait for all day for them. Sorry to tell. I won’t go this place anymore. Non sense.

I am a first time customer to Kal Tire and I would like to notify you of my experience with Kal Tire #690 ALBANY STORE  (ALBANY). I'd like management to pay attention to this

On Oct 7th/2021 I came to that location due to an emergency of a flat tire at 5: 35-5: 40PM. I interacted with a "LMateo", a staff member for assistance in the matter. When we went to take a look at the affected Tire, he mentioned that they closed at 6 and being it was close to that time I "came at the worst time". I responded by telling him I didn't choose to have a flat tire.

When I requested a full Tire change to all 4 tires, "LMateo" did not ask me my tire needs/preferences and instead opted to just give me the cheapest 3 season tires. I had to ask if I could choose the tires I wanted and I had to assert I did indeed chose an all weather tire stating the coming winter time it will be more applicable than 3 season.

When he did up the quote, I did not notice he misrepresented the quantity of one of the items on the bill instead of putting Quantity 4 on the item " #PINST Passenger Tire Install and Balance", he put the Quantity as 6.

So when I went to pick my car after being notified it was complete (Oct 8/2021 approx 5: 30-5: 40 PM), the bill seemed cheaper than the quote. And I was asked for payment before being shown the bill and the workmanship notes. I had to ask to see the bill. And after seeing and asking my questions I paid since the work appeared to be done. But looking at my quote from Oct 7/2021, I saw it was misrepresented to look cheaper! And that's unacceptable.

Even worse is when I went to see my car in the parking lot, THE DOORS WERE UNLOCKED FOR 2 HOURS (I was notified at 3: 13 the job was complete). Anybody could've stolen items from my car. Or stolen the car itself.

I'm happy I can drive around properly, but the integrity of Kal Tire at this location is bad. This guy didn't care about me and even acted shady about the bill. I literally have to be on alert with these guys. Good workmanship by the techs at least.

Update Oct 12/2021 - Barb from Management was very prompt in contacting me and following up with my situation. She was very attentive and apologized for the previous experience. She was helpful in offering a solution. Thank you!

I came in today an hour before closing desperately needing a sudden flat tire fixed. Leonides was kind enough to squeeze me in and get it sorted within the hour! They did a great job fixing the tire and I was happy I didn’t need to get 4 brand new tires. Thank you again for the excellent service, Kal Tire team!

Customer service at Albany KAL Tire has deteriorated substantially. I will never go there again. I made an appointment and was told that they would text me when it was my turn; no text came in and I had to rebook. Never did get in. My wife took her jeep there, for tire repair, balance and rotation. They fixed the tire, forgot to balance them, and did the rotation incorrectly. Epic fail Kal Tire- You lost me as a customer.

Please make sure you know what are they charge you upfront, they will try to rip you off for more money and things you don’t need, I was charged more than double what was the estimate and overall not a welcome in place for minorities. Save your money and dignity and go somewhere else.

Top notch facility and service. I was in a pinch, called to see if they can help on super short notice. They couldn't make any promises, but said they would try. They went above and beyond. A big shout out to Leo who really showed that he cared.

Purchased some new wheels for my 2020 Ford Edge. I used the configurator on the Kal Tire Website and chose a set. Phoned this location, spoke to a very knowledgeable lady who gave me a quote. (can't remember her name.) Booked the vehicle in, had my summer tires switched onto the new wheels with absolutely no hassle. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and professional. I also bought my winter tires from them last fall. I will continue to do business with this location, and would have no problem recommending them to friends and family.

When dropping off my car I had mentioned that a plastic trim piece in between my hood and windshield had fallen off as I was scrapping the ice off, and that I hadn't bothered to put it back on and if they could put it back while they were at it, as I had forgotten about it. Instead, when I picked up my car, it was placed directly on the windshield on the wiper. They moved my car outside when finished, so they would have noticed it, if it was left there accidentally. Not sure why it was left there of all places? Trying to make some sort of point? It wasn't broken and I put it back in place no problem. Service was like $700 so maybe it wasn't included. Just seemed like it was some kind of joke or something. Kind of left a bad impression from an otherwise great service I was given, and have been given every time I've been here.

I've been using Kal Tire for years, and this location is one of the best I've tried. Staff and management has always gone above and beyond for me, and I have recommended this location to many people who've had similar experiences.

4 stars in regards to the service done on my car. Wheels on rims changeover for winter. The pricing was decent and it did not take too long. Unfortunately the customer service was lacking. The woman who was at the desk seemed very unhappy to be there. I understand it's a busy time of year, but the phones were ringing off the hook and the desk staff would take the calls while people in line waited.

James was great, personable and helped me get the right tires and rims for my jeep grand Cherokee. I'll be back for summer wheels

My new go to place. Thought my tire sensor needed replacing since it was no longer registering on my dash. They found put just needed to relearn it to vehicle. Simple and straight forward. They all seemed in good spirits and have fun being with each other. Such a great atmosphere.

Very very condescending staff. Went for an oil change and the price fluctuated three times within ten minutes. After the oil change was done my car leaked oil to the point where it was bone dry and blamed me for it but we all know it was a little ploy for me to go back and give them my money which I will not give them a cent. I found someone cheaper and honest. Please do not waste your time and money at Kal Tire Albany.

Would give 0 star if that was an option.left my car there at 7: 30am for a flat repair.got a call at 10 am letting me know they needed to replace the tire and had the exact one.they told me to come in at 6pm. At 6pm they let me know that they just got the tire in. I waited outside for an hour only for them to let me know at 7pm that they infact DID NOT HAVE THE TIRE.didnt apologize, didn't even fill it up with air.sent me home with a tire at 15 psi and no tire after 12 hours of waiting.unprofessional, unorganized, terrible service. Better off to Fix your flat tire with chewing gum then come here.

It was the best place for service.but not anymore. Make sure you confirm and double check the information they provide by phone. Is not accurate and it looks like they got very busy and stressed out that her service is not kind anymore.

I have been dealing with the Albany location for years now. Always exceptional service. This last week or so I have had a few tire issues and they have taken care of me and my girlfriend very well. Darcy and James are terrific to deal with, thank you!

Gave false diagnostic analysis of my rims, refused to put on my tires due to same. Wanted me to buy all new wheels to do change over. Confusing and conflicting stories from front desk vs. Shop staff. Never specified if all 4 rims were an issue or just one. Difficult get a hold of anyone to get answers over the phone. Waited on hold for 30minutes and was hung up on. Asked 2 other tire shops and they have never heard of the issue this facility described, got same job done elsewhere at a reputable facility no issues. Either buisness is tough and they are looking to rip me off and lie to make a profit or they legitimately didn't know what they were doing. Will never go back. Only reason I gave 2 stars is because front desk staff were friendly and the store was clean and presentable.

These guys are awesome highly recommended! Im a longhaul truck driver and had problems on the road, I called Darcy he ordered my rims and tires.he arranged my appointment and had it all installed in a timely fashion, very professional atmosphere, definitely will be going back for my fourth set. Definitely worthy of the almost five star aggregate rating they have. Excellent customer service that is friendly, helpful, and informative.

Yesterday I went to Kal Tire to get drag radials installed on my hellcat and I was very unsure initially about the quality of service I would be getting.

The installation was very quick and I was not able to pick up my car due to another appointment until 5: 30 and Kal Tire closes at 5. They kept the store open for 30 minutes past closing so I could pick up my car.

The tires look great, the mechanics are very experienced and I would go back again. 100 percent recommend

Very poor customer service. Darcy doesn’t appreciate customer’s time. He wouldn’t get my flat tire done quickly and said not for another 5 or 6 hours! Then I go back half hour after to get it repaired somewhere else and then found out tire is repaired and good to go. He lies to customers and Not professional. I wouldn’t go there again.

I placed an order for a new tires and booked an appointment online. The price of the tires has a rebate of $50 if I purchase a set of 4. My booking is already confirmed and they even send me an email with pricing, taxes and total due to pay at the store. After two days out of curiosity I checked their website again just to find out that the rebate was gone and the tire pricing is at regular price. I called the branch early in the morning to ask what pricing I am paying on my appointment date. The lady who answered told me that she will ask her manager if they can still give me pricing with rebate and will get back to me. I waited until end of the day but hear nothing so I called back again then the lady said she will ask again and put me on hold. When she gets back she told me that most likely need to pay at a regular price and not with the rebate price.

First of all I feel like your website is a SCAM after sending all appointment confirmations your customers are also expecting what is agreed upon online check-out.

It's like you are selling tires cheaper today so you can attract customer. Then a customer said YES I want to buy it but the appointment is only for the next day so it's not cheap anymore so the price today is a scam because no one can book an appointment today!

So advice to all of you reading this review. Double check with your pricing on your appointment day because it might change without any notice.

Today I was involved in a hit and run which left my car seemingly fine. By the time I got to work my tire was hissing and going flat in front of my eyes. I got it over to Kal Tire and they mentioned that the way it was steaming and hissing likely meant it was toast. Darcy went above and beyond and found that there was miraculously nothing wrong with the tire. They fixed it all up and got me on my way for no cost!

Service was great. I needed a flat repair and it's hard to find someone to do that type of work in a timely manner. I dropped it off in the morning and they texted me in the early afternoon it was ready.plus the retorqued the rims today while we waited.thanks so much for the service!

Going here consistently for 2-3 years now and not once have I had an issue. Great customer service, excellent and knowledgable at their trade, and have a well kept shop, strongly recommend.

These people are an absolute joke and incompetent! My wife called to get service done on our Yukon XL SLT Premium as we are having issues with the TPM monitors. The employee she was speaking to asked what size tires we had on the vehicle which are stock 22 " from GM and stated that they weren't stock and basically called her a liar and said they don't work on vehicles with over sized tires. They should really educate there people and train them to be a little less ignorant. I wouldn't take my bicycle there. If I could give them 0 stars I would!

The stagg at the location off 167ave in Albany is Always friendly and Always quick. We deal with Darcy most of the time and hes always friendly and fun to interact with even on the busiest of days. This is the location I will always deal with.

Bought new wheels to be mounted on my all season tires. Appointment was for 9: 30am, showed up at 9: 10am, didn't get out of the store till 12: 00pm. Other than that the customer service was excellent!

Kal-Tire Albany is amazing. The staff is super friendly and always willing to put the customer first. I trust them with all my tire related issues. They even replaced an entire tire for me free of charge because I was unsatisfied. Talk about customer service!

Dealt with Darcey the most. Scott was polite. This store offers a fast, professional and trustworthy service. Honest guys here - wouldnt make a decision about my car without consulting me first and didnt try to upsell me anything or give me something that i didmt need. I'm not going anywhere else im the future

Service was done in a timely manner. The entire service was great and I got a good deal on a set of four tires. Leo was very accommodating and he made sure that everything was done well.

I have been using this Kal Tire location for a few years and have purchased tires and had service on a few vehicles.
The staff are excellent and a pleasure to deal with. Service has been quick with realistic timelines for receiving your vehicle back. Scott and Steve are great. Had an issue with the online booking but Scott set me up a few days later when my tires would arrive from storage. He greeted me by name when I arrived and I was in and out in an hour as planned. Tire change without rims plus alignment check! Great service all around as usual!

I showed up at 4: 50pm on a Saturday at store 690 and needed a leak repaired. Leo and his crew took it in immediately. I grabbed a hot chocolate from the awesome lounge and before it had time to cool off enough to drink it, they were done! Amazing team! Thanks again. Definitely buying my next set of tires from these guys! So convenient in this location!

Kaltire Albany is excellent! This was my first time to Kaltire and I am hooked for life. Darcy and Leo in front are excellent, they provided great advice and customer service, but many kudos to everyone in the shop too! So many companies compete on price, only few can excel through customer service. Kaltire Albany is one of those few companies who excel. I recommend them to anyone looking for tires, you feel welcomed and appreciated every moment. Great job, keep it real. Thank you.
