I had a tire emergency and they took care of me with incredible timing. The service was kind and they did not take advantage of my need. Will get my tires from here!

Friendly and helpful staff always letting you know what's happening and how much long and there pretty accurate of wait times as well as they allow you to wait there so you don't have to worry about getting home for the time they take.

Excellent Service. My left front tire was losing air so they put air in it and we're able to fit me in later in the day to have the problem fixed. Thank you all so much for your excellent customer service and kindness, I appreciated it

Was not a good experience, I took my f350 there to get a wheel alignment done, was there basically half the day they said it's done, I jumped in I can barely make left turn, I call them they said bring it in the next day so I do, I waste another half day just so they can tell me they can't do anything and must be a bad part, and than they give me my keys not mentioning a refund or anything but of course I'm like you charged and you didn't do what you said, then they were like ok we can refund you, I take it another shop they fixed it no problem, on top of it they said when they looked underneath there was critical pieces they didn't even bother to tighten.

I have tried several tire exchange garages around Edmonton over the past many years. Other garages promise big, and then spring regular surprise costs and charges on me, which has caused a lot of stress. I have often felt cheated or ripped off. Once I found Kal tire on 99th Street I was actually really surprised at how open and fair and reasonable they were for the services they completed. They are always on time with the service and explain any technical terms clearly and succinctly. I have not been shocked at some random extra bizarre charge or service that they insist I need. Finally found a non mechanical person friendly garage. Highly recommend.

I heard Kal Tire front desk guy tell a customer “you don’t have to bring your car back for retorque after 100km because we torque it twice. ” That does not sound right. I asked the question after my car was serviced and was told the same thing. When I questioned them, they said “we torque it when it’s suspended and when it’s on the ground. ” Still not sounding like a valid reason. I asked a mechanic friend and was told “second torque is to measure breakaway torque and not actual torque. ” I have been a customer for over 10 years but please don’t give me information that isn’t valid.

I purchased tires from this location a year ago and have had problems ever since. I have now been in for my fifth time in a year due to a leaky valve stem. Each time they assured me the valve stem was replaced only for me to be left with another flat because the valve stem is leaking again soon after. This shouldn't have even happened once, nevermind five times. Last time I got it replaced they told me they would check all my rims for corrosion, do an alignment, etc.to make sure the fourth time was the last time. Not only is the alignment off (and I never received any paper copy of the alignment results), but this time I went in they told me the problem all along was the corrosion on my rim. Wasn't the whole point of my last appointment not to check for corrosion? Their compensation for this is a singular rim on the house. It should not have taken 5 appointments, especially after one specifically for checking for corrosion, to see this is the issue. I have spent over 12 hours at this kal tire in a year since every time I have an appointment it takes over 3+ hours for me to get in and out the door. This is starting to become a safety issue and if my warranty wasn't with them I'd be going somewhere else. Be cautious going to this location. Definitely would not reccomend this location or Kal Tire at all.

They are fast and hard working people. They have water and drinks to really help your stay comfortable. Friendly stuff and comfortable bright happy chairs to sit on.

Literal angels. Had a flat and was right by this location. No appointment, full waiting room, phones ringing off the hook. The gentleman still managed to get us in. The whole team was there well over an hour past closed. All of them smiling and happy to help. BRAVO! Thanks again team. Very grateful

Called over a week in advance to ask for some extra work done, and was told it would be no problem. Got there on time, and was told 90 minutes total for the appointment. Was texted early that the car was done, and after walking back, told that it wasn't. Two and a half hours later, still waiting.

Friendly staff, but not reliable for scheduling your day around a car appointment.

One of the best service experiences I've had in a long time. Called in late Friday about a leaky tire, they got me in first thing Saturday morning, and was out in half an hour with a repaired tire. Was interesting to watch them work on it through the big bay window in the shop, and when it was done they parked it right at the curb outside the door, and even held the door for me. Was blown away by their attention to detail and kindness.

The guys at the shop were just great! Nessan at front desk very respectful and helpful as well Upinder the mechanic, very professional, careful and clean working on the car! Appreciate all the help. Thank you guys!

This review is for Kal Tire #601 at 5810 99 ST NW, Edmonton. Honestly can’t say enough about the service we recently received there. On Monday November 21 around 5pm we were leaving Edmonton to start our 1500km trek home to Winnipeg. Unfortunately we picked up a nail and there’s no way we could have hit the highway. Just about every tire place or garage was closed, or about to close, and I saw this Kal Tire sign a couple blocks from where the low tire light came on. We limped it over and hoped they would be able to save us. It was now about 5: 20pm and they were set to close at 6pm. The waiting area was full (standing room only) with people waiting on their cars. The bays were all full, and it looked unlikely that there would be any chance we’d be successful. I asked one service advisor if they could squeeze us in for an emergency tire repair and was quite properly told they had no ability to get us in before shop closing. I explained our situation and another service advisor came over and asked us to wait a moment while he consulted with a tire tech. A few moments later he came back and said that if we were willing to wait until all scheduled jobs were finished, then one of the techs would stay late to get us rolling again. As if that wasn’t good enough, here’s what happened next…. They stayed open late, presumably paid the tech overtime to do our job, and made us feel valued and welcome while we waited … THEN … they wished us safe travels and sent us on our way with no charge. Who ever heard of that kind of caring and service these days. Let me say that again, they stayed open late, held staff back, then fixed our tire after the shop was closed, FOR FREE. My wife cried and I was speechless. They literally saved the day for us and we made it as far as Moose Jaw that night. Never would I have expected this, and I would have been willing to pay double just to have the tire fixed on such an emergent basis. A most heartfelt thank you to Nessan (jeez I hope I spelled that right) and the entire team at Kal Tire on 99 in Edmonton.

My less-than-a-week-old car had a puncture yesterday and a friend of mine recommended Kal Tire. So, today morning I went there and they fixed the puncture quickly and provided an awesome customer experience. I would like to thank and recommend Mr. N Sayeed for his extra-ordinary customer service.

I debated whether to post this review but in the end felt like people should be cautious going to this location. The front desk staff are fantastic, zero complaints. The technicians, however, seem completely incompetent.

Last winter (2021), I took my vehicle to 99 street kal tire to have seasonal tires switched. Everything went well in terms of appointment making, appointment being on time, etc. Picked up my car, everything seemed fine. Tire sensors weren't working but was told I needed to drive for a bit and the sensors would come back on. Didn't happen. No big deal, had to go back, inconvenient but not the end of the world.

What was a big deal was the car made funny noises whenever I went fast. I thought it was a mechanical issue but a couple of days after the tire swap my car started shaking when I went on the Whitemud. I finally suspected it was related to the tires and went back to the shop. Someone retorqued my tires in front of me and the nuts were so loose they were barely on. They assured me this was a worker mistake and not something that happens regularly. I believed them.

This spring (2022) I again took my vehicle there to swap tires. Told the front desk to write on my work order to reset tire sensors and to ensure the tires were torqued properly. The gentleman said it wasn't necessary as they do those things no matter what. I insisted and so he wrote it down.

Picked up my vehicle and sensors were NOT reset again. A couple of days later, my car started shaking again, this time I knew what the issue was. I had my daughter with me and was scared the tires would fly off before reaching the store so I pulled over and got out my wrench and hand tightened it almost a half turn on each of the 4 tires.

I continued on and arrived at kal tire where they retorqued the tires - - not sure exactly how much they needed to torque but it was significant. And they reset my sensors. Both things I asked them to put on work order AND was told they do regularly no matter what.

The sensors were annoying and inconvenient but the lack of torquing was scary and dangerous. I'd like to think that I am simply the unluckiest person ever despite them swearing up and down that what happened to me RARELY happenes and yet this happened to me two times in a row, with the second time occurring despite me specifically asking them to torque properly.

Bad luck or poor safety checks? Not going to go a third time to find out.

While I've been purchasing tires here for over 10 years, of late, I've had repeated poor results. Last year, brought in two mounted passenger side winter tires for bead leaks; was told it repair would be same day, found out only one was complete when I went to pick them up. It eventually took days to have them done, only to find one still leaked. I mentioned this to management, and simply put it down as a fluke, and left the issue until next season. This year, I took the same two wheel and tire assemblies in for the same repair, was told one needed replacement, which was sourced, ordered and installed. In the WRONG ORIENTATION (directional tires) the other was repaired as desired.

I went this office to change my winter tires. They told me that one of the tires has damaged studs and they told me that I can’t have my vehicle back and it has to be fixed in the store and rim which was damaged need to be replaced too. I accepted and rhe next day when I went to pick up my car, they told me that they have only changed the studs not the rim, I was mad and the manager told me that only three studs has been damaged so I am confused they have charged for 6 studs then they told me only three studs and they didn’t even change the rim and also the tires pressure was not checked when they install my new tires and they also over priced me with the quote for replacing the control arm ball joint too.
In general it was a terrible experince and I won’t be going this kaltire store again

I had to buy a mew set of tires unexpectedly. Their website was easy to browse and I didn’t find any hidden costs with the estimate as opposed to when I paid my bill. This is rare as many companies seem to find excuses to charge more. I was treated very well compared to other places. Often women aren’t treated equally when getting car repairs done I have noticed but this was not the case at Kal Tire. I’ll Definitely go back again.

Incredibly disappointed to see numerous mechanics, in a crowded bay, with their masks under their nose or down around their necks. This included when they went inside my car. This is a serious safety concern and is also in direct contravention of Alberta’s mask mandate.

I’ve been a customer of KalTire for the past 5 years, with tire changes twice yearly for two different cars. After this, I’ll be looking to take my business to a store that has the back of healthcare workers, just like we have theirs.

These guys are swamped. Phone ringing off the hook, and still took me in despite mis-remembering my appointment time and being late. I had ordered the wrong tire size, for my winter rims, and they brought in the ones. I was a terrible customer and they dealt with me with way better care than I deserved.

Quick and friendly, they mounted a tire on a rim for me. It developed a leak after a day and they were happy to fix it for me no charge.

I left this Kal location today very disappointed and probably won't go back. I brought in a flat repair on a tire that I had purchased new from them in 2017 (I work from home and barely drive) the staff tried telling me that my tire was unrepairable. They told me that it was 16 years old, had 2 punctures, and was cracking. I suggested we go have a look at their computer to confirm the actual date that I bought them. After verifying that the date was only a few years ago I was asked if I hadn't in fact purchased the tires used. I had to insist they were wrong about the age before they conceded to admitting their mistake. Sure felt like a hustle to get me to buy a new tire. All this nonsense took them an hour and a half to plug a nail hole.

Quick, accommodating, professional service. I was ready to install new lug nuts and they advised that my current set was still adequate and saved me money. Thanks!

Great shop! They took care of us and got the job done right for a very reasonable price. I would reccomend this shop to anyone looking for tire related work.

Not too happy with changes, to their marketing strategies. Price increases every year, for former free services, they provided, with, set of tires, purchased from them. Bait and switch tactics. Some of their outlets in Edmonton, have closed, due to economy and Covid. Staff is still nice and struggling to do their best. Head office bean counters will lose a lot of old loyal customers with their American approach to picking the customers pockets. SAD.

I have gone to the 99th street location before so when I had a flat tire I went back there as the customer service is good I talked to Leonides and he told me it was not repairable They do not carry the tires I have on my car but he gave me options and in the end I had Kal Tire replace all 4 tires rather than going to another place. Thanks Leonides for returning my calls and fixing me up with great tires.

This place is great! Did a great job on my car and open Saturday since it's my only day off I appreciate that. The guy behind the counter was very kind, he helped out a walk in lady even though they were closed soon with her flat tire. Just nice to see.

I've been going to this location for a while. It's gone through a lot of changes over the years staff wise. Overall customer service has been good. Only once over the years were my tires that I had in storage at the location not ready for my appointment; I recommend calling ahead and making sure they are not locked up in a sea can. It's a busy year for tire changes, as more people are driving during covid and avoiding transit, plan ahead. Kal Tire is the cheapest for tire change over as far as I know as well, only complaint is they have no nitrogen for the tires.

Rim selection is nice, and if you want an extra discount they usually can get a hold of demo sets.

Loved the old location down the road that closed. But 2nd time here and its taking just under 2.5 hours.flr a swap. Booked an appointment and the car didnt get seen for over an hour. 30 min past the appointment time. Told 90 minutes max wait, disappointing service.

I have gotten my tires changed here every year for the last couple years, and I have no regrets! I have had nothing but great service from them! I got my tires changed and sprung a leak right away from a stupid nail on the road. I have long commutes between home and work outside of the city so I need to have car issues fixed soon and they’ve always been there for me!

They told me they already checked and need to check out more, but my car did not move at all from where I parked there.
I believed that the KAL tire is a good brand and trusted that brand name.
But this branch is ruining the corporate image. It doesn't matter how much you advertise.
If this branch keeps running like this, that is what hurts the company's name.
The basis of trust is to keep promises between customers and you.

Terrible customer service. Was made to wait 3 hrs for a tire change. The staff didn't wipe down the seats between customers. Front desk staff were rude. Won't be coming back.

The Manager Ryan on 99 street walked the talk with their new Mission statement-Being responsible for all aspects of their work (seen on their video screen).
I had an unfortunate experience the previous day with some poor installations. I returned the next morning with Ryan acknowledging it was their RESPONSIBILTY and owned it. Ryan and Kal Tire recovery went exceptionally well for me. Thank you for living your Vision and Mission.

I had an appointment booked for 11: 30am for them to simply check my front drivers side tire for a slow leak I had noticed and hopefully do a quick patch job. 3 hours in I was still waiting to get my truck back its frustrating to have so much of my time wasted. I'm not sure what the benefit of having an appt is if it takes this long for them to process anything (and if this is the expected time to wait they should warn people ahead of time so they can plan their lives accordingly). The staff was friendly but the actual service time was well below standard it does not make me want to come back here!

Love the service! I stop there anytime the warning lights come on in my car for low tire pressure, they check your pressure for free and fill when needed.

They continue to offer good service. I've been using their services for over 10 years. Very reliable!

We have brought our BMW X5 and Audi S4 here for wheel alignments and X5 tire change and service was great, staff is very friendly and helpful. Wheel alignments come with 30 day warranty, which is great since most shops give you nothing or don't back their warranty for alignments. They give you the full print out of adjustments made for the alignment.

Although the staff were friendly, there was a 4 hour wait to get a tire patched so we went elsewhere.

Bought new winter tires last year from a Kal Tire in St Albert and stored my summers there - this location was awesome. This spring I called the 99St location to see if they were able to bring my summer tires over, as this location is much closer to my house, and they said it was no problem. I showed up for my appt for a tire change and waited in store for an hour before they came over to tell me they couldn't locate my tires. They said they would look for them and call me when they were found to rebook my tire change. It took almost a week to find them (? !). Then Covid hit and I decided to postpone my tire change. Made an appt this week to finally change them over and this time dropped off my car. I hadn't heard from them after 3 hours so I called back to see if my car was done and they told me they couldn't find my tires. Again.
They eventually found them several hours later on the same day and changed them with a mild apology and no compensation for losing my tires twice.and then asked if I would like to store my winter tires with them.

Liars! I had heard good things about this Kal location and bought my tires from here. Yesterday I left my car to have a puncture fixed. They kept the car all-day and returned the car at the end of the day sayjng it was fixed but guess what, they didn't even look at it. I drove off and 5-10 mins later had a flat. Obviously they don't work weekends, so know I'm taking my business elsewhere to an HONEST company which actually looks at problems and fixes them. Doesn't just lie about it. WOULDN'T RECOMMEND ANYONE TO GET THEIR TIRES DONE HERE.

Brought my vehicle in for an oil change. Got my vehicle back and has been leaking since. Got back from working up north and was finally able to bring it in and they tell me it's a "manufactures defect" even though I've only had the vehicle for two months. So they break my car, tell me it's my fault, and now I have to waste another day getting it fixed at the dealership. Will no be going to this Kal-Tire again and would recommend you go somewhere else for an oil change. RIP to my wallet and my time.

Very busy! But tis the season! I heard a worker say they'd be skipping lunches to get everyone on their way in a timely manner. That's some pretty great customer care, and everyone I spoke with was friendly and kind. So 2 thumbs up from me! I'll come back here for sure.

I am from out of town and was in Edmonton on Friday to get my kid from university. Ended up with a tire that had been fixed in our small town the Monday before going flat. The first kal tire would not help me. Too late in the day and they had to get home. At this kal tire they were eager to help. Tire was not fixable and they were able to set me up with a new pair. Awesome service. Friendly and competent. Recommend.

I'll start by saying the service was friendly and generally helpful. It took longer than I expected (close to 2 hours for an install on steel rims is excessive) but it's more understandable during the peak of change over season. What was most surprising though is one of my directional tires was mounted backwards. Having previous experience as a tire installer and lead I consider this absolutely unacceptable. Had I not done a visual inspection myself (with the added benefit of knowing what I was looking for) I may very well have not caught the error. I spoke to the installer about the issue and he acknowledged that he made a mistake but it's a poorly run shop if there aren't checks in place to ensure this does not happen. It ultimately took another 20 or so minutes of my time and left me less confident than what you would hope after purchasing winter tires. Also, the mileage was noted wrong, which is relatively minor but the 5000km error could have an impact on future warranty. Happy with the price and convenience of the location but disappointed such a simple mistake was allowed to pass.

Decent place to work, friendly enough colleagues, fairly high turnover it seemed like. Good place to learn. Cons: not very good at telling you your schedule more than a day or two in advance. Hard to arrange important appointments outside work due to personal/ family commitments so I ultimately quit. Workers get discount on tires.

I am a driving Instructor so unfortunately am used to Students occasionally hitting curbs. This happened on a Saturday mid morning with a tire blowout and the tire was unrepairable. While waiting for the tow truck I called Kal tire on 99 St & 58 Avenue and they actually had a time slot available to purchase and mount a new tire. Other than the fact that there was only one front counter person on the job and he was very slow with his computer waiting on another Customer. I was and remain impressed with the service received and was in and out within the hour! Thanks Kal Tire!

Amazing service! They changed my tires and did my oil change in no time when other places usually take long periods of time. Happy with the service.

They care more about the money then there own customers and employees they have a assistant mannager kashaul who knows nothing about tires and he cant even change a tire i reccomed go to fountain tire youll het better service

Greeted with horrible staff at the front desk. When I asked was told 1.5 hr wait to just have tires rotated is all. When asked why so long was told to go elsewhere or wait. Unprofessional to say the least will never ever be back to this location to never buy tires again or may not even purchase from kal again. This has diminished all positive things I have ever seen from kal tire.

Kaushal and his staff were quick to help me out when I arrived needing to get to the airport. They helped me out after they were already closed for the day. Thanks everyone for going the extra mile.

Customer Care Plan is a joke. I won’t buy tires here again. I bought a set 2 months ago, partly due to their Customer Care Plan that includes free flat repairs. Yesterday after work I noticed a screw in one of my tires, and could hear air leaking out. I live in the country about 40 km out of town, so I wasn’t making it home. I rushed over to Kal Tire on 99th, same store I bought my tires at, and asked for a repair. I was told it was too close to closing time (it was 4: 40, they close at 5: 00). I’ve had a number of tires replaced and I know it doesn’t take long. They said they wouldn’t do it unless I left the car there and picked it up the next day, which would have meant a very expensive cab ride home, and another very expensive one the next day to get the car, making the free service a little silly. So I got back in my car with the leaking tire and drove it to Fountain Tire, who happily repaired my tire in 25 minutes, no fuss. The employees at Kal Tire were more concerned with working 5 minutes of overtime than they were with ensuring one of their customers was safe on the road under their Customer Care Plan - I guess it’s easy to promise free services if you don’t want to perform them when needed. If they would like to reimburse me for the $37 I spent at Fountain Tire to do the simple service they refused to do (and as they promised under their Customer Care Plan), I might consider continuing to be a customer. But they haven’t been there for me when I need them, and for that reason I will be buying my next set of tires elsewhere.

I am very wary of all auto shops. I worry that I am always being ripped off because I dont know much about cars. I've come to this Kal Tire now a few times for a number of small jobs (oil change, tire repairs, purchasing tires, balancing, other small repairs). I have yet to have a bad experience. My last visit brought me there after receiving poor service at another shop and they not only fixed what I needed for free but re-checked the work done by the other shop for free to give me piece of mind. I asked them to help me out with a number of little tasks and they took the time to walk me through everything and explain what they were doing so I knew I wasn't being ripped off. Being so untrusting, this went a long way for me to building my trust. This will now be my regular auto shop for vehicle repairs.

I purchased all weather tires at this Kal Tire about a month ago and the rear passenger side tire began to leak. After taking it back numerous times and them assuring me it's fine and fixed, it continues to lose air to the point where it went flat today (same day of repair). Either their technicians are badly trained or they simply don't care. Highly suggest you purchase your tires or tire service elsewhere.

Update (1/6/19) :
On 1/3/19 I booked an appointment for 8: 30 am (for my 1 tire to be put on) and ended up having to call them at 3 pm later that day to see what was going on. It turns out they forgot about my vehicle but nonetheless fixed the tire eventually. When I went to pick up my vehicle they offered no apology about sending me home with a flat tire or missing my appointment. Instead they charged me for a new sensor and acted as if they did nothing wrong and that it was my fault.

You can get appointments here even for flat repair unlike Canadian Tire. Very spacious customer launch and friendly representative s.

I recently had to replace a flat Nokian winter tire because my previous one had a puncture that was not repairable. Drove into this store (my first visit) on Saturday, the staff was extremely polite and took a look right away. When he found it was not fixable, he ordered the new tire for me and booked an appointment. When I went to the store for the appointment (my second visit) next Monday, everything was ready and it was in and out within 25 minutes. A different staff behind the desk served me, equally polite and proficient. Definitely deserves 5 star rating. Will recommend this store to my friends.

Indian guy by the name of Kalsar? Was rude to my co-worker when she did not understand the issue with her vehicle. Went to this location as well a week after cause it's a few blocks away from my home. Definitely rude and fake during my appointment. Could use more training.
