I went in for a 140 dollars facial. Although the facial in itself was really good. But the advertisement was misleading on the website as it said, it included a scalp massage and sound
Therapy. But whe i got the facial it didn’t include any sound therapy and the scalp massage was just the aesthetician going over my forehead once. Personally i dont think that just running over my forehead once warrants for a full advert saying it includes scalp massage. If it is advertised it should be incorporated in the facial for atleast 10 to 15 minutes. Another thing was that it was advertised as 75 min treatment with a 15 min mask time. When the aesthetician put on my mast she was gone for a solid 35 minutes. Which wasted alot of my service time during which i could’ve had that scalp massage. I think she was doing another service while i was waiting in the room. She was friendly and had good hands, but I think if you advertise something, you should atleast provide the service you advertised. I did not receive the service i paid for. I would definitely never go back.

Was highly recommend by a friend and they did not disappoint. This spa is fantastic! They take great care of you, your service are amazing and completely relaxing. I did the Spoil her more package and it was the best experience ever. Highly recommend you try out this place for an amazing and relaxing spa day.

Every time if we go in appointment then only we are getting a spot! I hope even they should consider walk in people by having extra staff! They have only one or two staff always and when they are booked already with appointment walk-in customers are disappointed as they can’t give spot to them, even though we wait for one hour or two.

What an amazing experience. I just got back and I feel amazing. First you spend 30 min in a steam room and then they scrub you all over. It is amazing, it feels great and they are just lovely people. Yes you are fully naked, but they provide you with disposable undies. It feels amazing after you take a shower. I will be back for sure. I can't even imagine how amazing this will be in the winter when your skin is dry.

Me and my friend had the best time ever! We had a package of hammam, facial, manicure pedicure. It was absolutely fantastic! A BIG THANK YOU! To the amazing staff and especially to Sarita and Reshma. They worked so hard to ensure we feel relaxed, comfortable and enjoyed our spa day. They are extremely professional ladies, one of thee best in the industry I’ve found. So disappointed.
After booking a week in advance for a mother, daughter spa day and receiving 2 confirmation calls the day before, I get a call 1 hour before my appointment time, with someone telling me that they do not have a message therapist available for the time I booked. I will never book there again.

Went for a Groupon.service was okay could of been better.then at the end the lady went to tell me my price.and I told her no sorry I had a Groupon.price was the same as the Groupon? When the value for the service on Groupon was reported as 200? Felt like I got ripped off.

Hamam here is excellent. It's rejuvenating and does wonders to the skin in the dry alberta weather. Staff is wonderful and accommodating.

Rarely post reviews, but this place deserves one. We had hammam, massage and facial package, and not only it was more reasonably priced than most places, but the level of service was at par with all the swanky spas. I know it doesn't look like it on the outside, but the hammam and massage rooms have such a pleasant ambience with all those authentic bowls and decor details. I wish they had the pictures anywhere, so everyone could see. All in all I would say it's a great place if you value the contents over a package, because the people we've had a pleasure to deal with were all very caring and attentive, no unnecessary talk, just great service.

Amazing! We treated ourselves to a spa day at Kaya and we were not disappointed! 6.5 hours later we feel like new women! The ladies here are professional, considerate, fun & a joy to deal with. We will definitely be back.

It was my first time here. While the website didn't really prepare me for what to expect from the Hammam Gommage (naked steam for 20 minutes, naked full body oil, exfoliation, and finished with a body clay mask) the whole experience really was wonderful. My skin was exceptionally soft afterwards. The facial and pedicure were equally soothing and fantastic. The relaxation massage I received was more therapeutic (which I appreciated) rather just some light touches that don't seem to do a thing. Nor was it a cringe inducing deep tissue massage. It was a perfect relaxation massage. Bravo to all of the ladies I dealt with.superb!

We had an a couples massage appointment but showed up early and got to wait in their cute lounge area. While waiting I was able to get my eyebrows threaded and tinted super quick and they look AMAZING! Our massage was the best we have ever had in Edmonton and we will most definitely be going back to try some of their other services too! Afforable, clean, friendly, and super great vibe!

My experience at this spa was like no other. The staff were really warm. The place was clean and cozy. The best part was their Hammam and gommage. I booked it because I wanted to experience something different, and boy was I pleasantly surprised! I loved how authentic it was. It reminded me of my trip to Morocco. My skin has never felt this soft!

I will definitely be back. Highly recommended!

Well, it's been a full year since I made the mistake of getting a face wax here. My eye brows, which I asked only to be tidied cause I loved my shape, have never fully recovered. The lady took a massive chunk out of the lower portion of my left eyebrow, and it never grew back in. I do not recommend this salon to anyone. Everytime I look at my face without makeup it makes me incredibly sad. They were nicely even before.

My experiences were very mixed.

Booking conflicts: I experienced multiple conflicts with booking during my multi-session laser hair removal process. They had double booked one time and left me waiting there for over an hour past my appointment time before starting my appointment. The blamed the other lady saying she came in and didn’t have an appointment but decided to still serve her? They did buy me lunch for it though.

Issues with touch up appointments: I was told I could buy the sessions (in my case, I purchased 6 laser hair removal sessions), and use whatever I wanted on a 6-8 week schedule, and whatever services I didn’t use I could use for annual touch ups in the future (laser hair removal often requires annual upkeep). When I advised last year that I was done with the schedule, and I would be back for annual touch ups, I was given flack. I had to physically sign a paper stating why I am delaying treatments. Note that you cannot be tanned for laser so winter is your only option for sessions unless you are a hermit anyways. Here I am, a year later, trying to get my touch up services, and I have been BLOCKED by the owner Riti when I reached out to ask what I had left for sessions. I contacted her on messenger (this is where we have communicated since I have been dealing with Kaya Kama) to find out how many sessions I had left, she read it within a minute of me sending it last night, then promptly blocked me so that I can no longer message her. I would also like to note that these services are quite pricey, AND PREPAID! Aka, they have my money, and are choosing to ignore me.

They beg people to leave reviews and tell their friends, but service is really just not great. Riti was very sweet and kind, but just doesn’t seem to have business sense in terms of customer service.

I would not recommend pre-paying for any long term services at this establishment. It’s a nice spa, if you are in and out for a day treatment, you might have better luck.

The first time I booked a couple massage at this SPA, I submitted the claim to my insurance company (I usually pay and like to submit my claims myself), my insurance company did NOT approve my claim as one of the supposed to be RMT ladies, wasn't RMT! So my insurance approved one and didn't approve the second one. I called the store and left a message to the owner three times over three weeks. No reply and no one answered. I let it go!
It hurts to love a spa and want to go back but receive poor conflict management or problem resolution when you are faced with an issue. Even if they offered an apology I would have been OK!

I've tried many spas in Edmonton but Kaya Kama is my favourite to go to. I am very picky with my services so I'm being truly honest when I say that for aesthetics they're the best. The spa itself is really clean and the waxing services are very sanitary (i.e. No double dipping). The pricing is fairly standard too. The owner Riti is super sweet and always willing to take me in on short notice. She's also a talented makeup and hair artist!

Great service. My husband booked package 3 for me and booked a massage, reflexology and pedicure for himself.
Great service. Amazing team, went above and beyond. They made it an excellent experience for the both of us. Made sure we were put in the same room for everything.
We would definitely recommend this place.

The salon is beautiful and the ambience was very laid back. I would definitely recommend this location to anybody in the relaxation and spa market.

I especially want to compliment Riti, she performed the make up preparation for my cousin's wedding and the end results were beautiful.

I had a wonderful and relaxing experience at Kaya Kama this afternoon. I highly recommend the Hammam and gommage. Staff are friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The spa is comfortable and relaxing. I like that the signature facial is tailored to your specific skin type. I left with glowing skin and I will definitely be returning in the future.

To begin with the ambience is so soothing & relaxing. The 60 minute Kaya Kama personalised facials has been so relaxing. I have no idea where the time went, as the gentle hands worked upon my face. So relaxed, & love the glow. Very Professional. I am definitely coming back for more & I shall recommend it for sure.

It is an unbelievable experience, I just could not believe how neat and tidy the place is. Staff are extremely professional. It’s a very upscale hygienic environment to get yourself relaxed. Would suggest to take their signature Hammam/Gommage followed by massage and facial. Can't wait to be back

No owner calls a customer and cancels an appointment and tells them not to come back to their salon again. I was shocked when the owner called me and said that. You are just a big liar because you said that you wouldn't charge me for the service. Can you please provide me the email address that you used to confirm my appointment. I bet that you don't have it because I never received such email from you.

I don't blame you. You are a new owner with a new business. You don't know how to run a salon properly and treat your customers in the right way.

I told my friends and co workers that the owner called me and canceled my appointment and said to not come to the salon again. They were all shocked and thought I was joking.

I advise the owner to take some customer service courses because clearly you do not have any skills whatsoever! Very rude owner and no customer service skills.

I would not have come here because the owner is bad but I only come because Huma is very kind and has lots of experience. But the owner is rude and has no customer service skills. I had an appointment scheduled for 3: 00pm today and when I went to the spa they said that I didn't have one and instead it was tomorrow. I was originally going to have my appointment with Huma to do my underarms and face but instead a different girl did my underarms while Huma did my face. When I finished I went to pay and schedule my next appointment and the owner was at the register. I told her that I would not pay because a different girl did my underarms but I would pay for the face. She said she wouldn't charge me and I left. After two minutes later I got a call from the owner saying that she cancelled my next appointment because I didn't pay but she lied because she said she wouldn't charge me. When she cancelled my appointment she thinks that this is the only place to do waxing but there are so many other better places that are cheaper and have better service.

I feel sorry for all the people working for her.

Please read this before even thinking of going to this place

If you love your skin.please DO NOT go here.
Kaya Kama is not a place for customers with delicate skin or too sensitive skin. They don’t have different products for different skin type, specially waxing. Waxing is suppose to be done with concentration on the temperature of the wax and only thin layer should be applied. But these details are ignored by the beautician. I want to attach the burnt skin photo, but didn’t have a place to do so please consider this before going.
Plus the soothing sound which is always being played is for relaxation purpose but instead the beautician just keeps talking, so it’s hard to relax. If that was not all, when I told the owner that I am getting red spots on my skin, she replied that I might be allergic to gluten.after 25 years, I have started having allergies. This was the most dumbest answer from the beautician.

Now there is an add-on to this story-
The owner called me today and apologized for the burn that I got as I had sent her an email of the details with the picture.
So I asked her whether she genuinely had a cream wax for sensitive skin,
Guess what she said? Yes! She had it but had told her employee not to apply to me because I had bought the Groupon voucher!
She actually discriminates between her customers. She wants me to give her another chance.how can I trust her again with my skin? And whether she will not do such things again?
And one more thing the people who have given her 5 star rating - just before mine is actually her employee.so please don’t go on the ratings. Not at least for this salon

I am very sad to say that the quality standards have dramatically decreased with a change in management. I used to love this place!

We arrived to a mess on a Monday - the floors were in serious need of a vacuum, small white garbage bags were stuffed into corners and shelves, the makeup area was unkempt, staff belongings were strewn on chairs, and all the dirty hand towels from the weekend were piled in the bathroom bin.

The RMT used what smelled like baby oil and was not careful with the sheet placement (exposed lower area if you catch my drift). I previously worked at a Massage Therapy clinic and this was not therapeutic massage quality, or safe for that matter. The face hole in the bed smelled, and the massage room was very cold.

The reason I am giving 2 stars and not 1 is because of the esthetician. She did a wonderful job on my toes and was polite. Still a bit unsure about the hygiene of the tools and foot baths given the cleanliness of the rest of the place.: -

Overall very disappointed and sad, too. I remember coming into a little spa sanctuary in the past. They used to offer Ayurvedic treatments, and gave you tea and treats after your sessions. It was also immaculately clean from what I remember. Will not be returning.

I don't typically review places, but "Kaya Kama Hammam & Day Spa" is definitely an exception. I'm very particular about how my eyebrows are shaped, and they do an absolutely amazing job. I have extremely sensitive skin as well, and the estheticians/staff are very knowledgeable about working around my needs/low pain tolerance.

I've never had an issue with having to schedule or reschedule appointments and management has been very understanding and willing to accommodate. Everyone is super friendly as well!

I'm definitely going to be come back here, for years to come!

Sadly, Kaya Kama has new owners and the place is not the same. The lack of professionalism is apparent from the moment you walk in. The “new owner” is too busy running around advising everyone that she’s the “owner” (who cares) instead of demonstating any form of customer service or skill set. The place isn’t as clean and no longer feels like a warm, welcoming spa. I will not be back.
