We took our 3 month old puppy to puppy pre-school here and it was a great experience. The instructors are so knowledgeable and willing to help with individual issues each puppy struggles with. As first time adult dog owners, this class was so helpful for my partner and I to learn how to train and take care of our puppy. I would recommend this class and academy for anyone who wants to have a confident and well-behaved puppy. Will definitely be signing up for more!
Jamila is a very knowledgeable, patient and positive instructor. We took three classes with her and I was very happy to see the progress with my pup and her training.
We loveeed our experience at Kayenna. We enrolled our new chow puppy, Kobe, in the puppy kindergarten group and learned soooo much! Thank you, Kathy and Irene, for your support and guidance.you were so helpful and patient in answering all our questions. We feel much more comfortable training our sweet baby girl now. Highly recommended!
Amazing facility and wonderful people! I took the Focus, Fun & Games class with my 8 month old pyr/border collie cross puppy. What a fun and amazing class for focus, it has helped a ton and Janet is an amazing teacher! Highly recommended!
This dog training school, it's staff & facilities are amazing.in my opinion. My puppy loves coming here & he makes me laugh at how excited he gets when we arrive, literally pulling me out of the car and into the classroom. It helps that he's highly motivated and eager to learn new things. I enjoy the friendliness & knowledge of the staff. They are always welcoming to me and my puppy, and are brimming with advice & tips for all their clients. I've attending 3 classes so far: puppy kindergarten, everyday obedience & intro to agility. The instructors are wonderful at finding the level your puppy is at, and then helping you with the next step in their training. Nothing is ever rushed so as to build strong foundations in your puppy's training. I plan on returning for more classes as they offer a broad spectrum of them. Thanks Kayenna Training Academy!
Trained our puppy there, nothing revolutionary, but definitely teaches you solid foundations. More of a class for you than your puppy, can be replaced by good YouTube videos but if you are a tactile/experiential learner who needs some direct guidance, this is perfect.
While I have done agility with my dogs for some time, I started a new puppy a few months ago in classes with Instructor Tracey Geddes. She is fabulous! Tracey has a wonderful intuitive knowledge of agility and the dog - handler teams with whom she is working. I have learned so much about proper foundation sequencing for this performance sport! My puppy is making wonderful progress, and I am using my new knowledge to reteach my adult dogs some key skills and we are communicating much more effectively. Thanks also to Kayenna for having such good quality equipment and a great working space.
These ladies have been wonderful in helping me raise my Dutch Shepherd Zahra. The scent detection classes with Dr. Carla Simon have been top notch, and a great outlet for my pups drives. I took a puppy class and continue to do private lessons with Tracey, she's gone above and beyond her role as a trainer and continues to be instrumental in my girls development. Clearly a group of passionate people, can't recommend Kayenna enough.
Jessie Toll and her assistant worked their magic on our anxious pup when needing his nails trimmed. Will definitely be coming back for all our grooming needs.
Superb trainers and great staff. They offer everything from puppy training to competitive training. If you are looking for a variety of things to do with your dog, this is a one stop shop. Special thanks to Jessie the groomer, she does great work and is very helpful with any questions you may have regarding grooming dogs; whether you want her to do all the work, or if you want to learn how to tidy your pup in between appointments. Sarah is another amazing woman, she provides great coaching for agility course training for our pup. And he loves it, has been improving since the day we stepped into Kayenna. Many workshops and special events offered throughout the year. Keep your eyes peeled, they don’t disappoint! Thanks to Lauren and her entire team. Highly recommend this company for anything dog training related!
I had an absolutely amazing experience. I took my dog there for a grooming appointment for the first time at the beginning of the month and Jessie was perfect. My GSD is anxious in new places and when it comes to meeting new people. Jessie took her time allowing my girl to warm up to her before taking her in, she used positive reinforcement using treats during her groom (my girls a drama queen and cries) and even after she was done, took her to go run around in the class area. I have never had someone do that for my dog when it comes to groomer before, the care was amazing and Jessie did an overall beautiful job with the grooming. I will be going back.
I have been taking my cavalier to Jess got grooming for over a year now. I have always been pleased, with the groom, and the care and attention paid to my dog. Safety first here! Now, I have a very young puppy who is just learning about baths, clippers and dryers. The gentle, precise training she is getting is fabulous, as is her appearance after. I can’t recommend too highly! A refreshing change from some previous experiences elsewhere.
Over the years that Kayenna has been operating my dogs and I have taken many classes— obedience, agility, and once nosework. All have been well organized and skillfully taught. Presently puppy kindergarten is my focus. I am thrilled with the quality and content of this class, professionally taught by Olivia.
I brought my girls in for their first groom at Kayenna Kennels on Sunday and we had a great experience. The groomer was super lovely to deal with and my dogs, who are normally a bit shy at first, really seemed to like her. They were happy when I dropped them off and just as happy when I came to pick them up. Their new haircuts were perfect! We will be back:)
LOVE the groomer here! I can't remember her name but was honestly one of the most lovely experiences. First, I got a call around 1pm from her letting me know she was wasn't able to go ahead with my 3pm appt because they were out of shampoo. No problem but I was a little worried about getting it done in time as we were leaving town the next morning. She then offered to do it at 8pm! And stay late! I was so impressed and she wasn't rushing us or out furbaby as it was his first time at a groomer and was quite anxious. She was so good with the dogs and knew exactly how to handle them, and how to read their behaviour. Was so so happy to come back 45 minutes later to a completely groomed pup! I was so worried he was going to be awful for her but she even let him run around in the room after instead of waiting in a kennel. He was super happy after and showed very little sign of being stressed. Will DEFINITELY be coming back here and also to try the obedience classes! Beau is a very happy and clean boy! Thank you! <3
We took our dog Juno her for a groom and the groomer was amazing. She took time before the appointment to talk to us about what we wanted for Juno, and also to get acquainted with her before taking her into the room. The groom took just over an hour and she called us to say that Juno was such a sweetheart and was so brave during her bath and blowout and even having her nails trimmed. We went to pick Juno up and she was so happy and she kept going back to the groomer for more treats ;) She was so soft and COMPLETELY dry (this has never happened from any other grooming place that we have taken Juno)! Definitely recommend Kayenna Kennels for grooming and Juno will definitely be going back (even though she only gets groomed twice a year). Thank you so much Jessie for taking such great care and attention with our girl and your work! Juno gives you 2 paws up:)
The main groomer here is Jessie. She's fantastic. The girl handles all kinds of special appointments. Animals that are nervous, animals that have disabilities, animals that are biters.
My little guy can barely stand and she takes that into account and does special little things like put a mat under him so he's not slipping and sliding all over the table when he's getting his nails done. It's a small thing but it's a really big thing to me.
I've been taking my dogs to Jessie, for years now. I trust her.
As for the Kennels and classes, I haven't experienced it. I've only been in the building. It's quite a large space.
The people that I've met who work there are all very easy-going and calm. I can only imagine having a good experience here
