Kids U - McKnight

Just want to say thank you to all the infant program staff at Emerging Brains Academy at this McKnight Location. During our child's time there, we had seen great improvement in her social and physical skill. This location was very professional and sent us our child's photos daily. Once again we wanted to say a big thank you to all the staff.

Our daughter has been attending FBA for 6 months and we have really noticed a difference in her social and motor development. She used to be really shy with other kids and in unfamiliar places but now she is not afraid to explore and play. The staff at FBA (McKnight campus) really take time out to get to know and care for each child. Our daughter is happy to go to ‘school’ and has an amazing time.

One of the best pre-schools which aims at the holistic development of the child. The work environment & infrastructure is great. The management is extremely cooperative & gives you enough opportunity to grow & learn, keeping your preferences & personal priorities in mind.

Our son has been going to this school since April 2021 and it has thus far been an amazing experience for our family. Our other son is already registered for the following year. This school is amazing in what they do, I really love their philosophy and that is what initially got us interested. We have noticed a difference in our son's learning in not just academic but socially and emotionally as well. He has grown so much and this facility has been a big contribution to that. We are so thankful for being a part of them because they have always been very helpful in any concerns we may have. They take immense initiative to get to know your child, and the communication and updates we got on our child is profound. It is exactly what we needed and have continued to get. It helps to have a support team in raising our child and they have always done that. I really recommend this school because they really go above and beyond for your family. If we ever had any questions, they are supportive. They are honest in their opinions. I even ask for their advice on some learning we could do that at home and they have always provided assistance. They are professional, organized and well structured organization.

I've been sending my kid here for about a month now and since day one he settled in immediately. The last daycare drop offs were difficult and he didn't want me to leave. But right from the beginning at this daycare he's excited to go and play. Wonderful staff, they really take the time to make the kids feel at home. I would definitely recommend to anyone.

The owners and staff genuinely want to serve families and the community by fueling children's brains. The environment is warm, inviting and beautiful. I’m thankful I’ve found a great workplace with a positive, supportive work culture! I recommend you schedule a tour before deciding on childcare for your child. You won’t regret it!

An amazing place for the overall development of children. My daughter is going to the junior pre-school and learning a lot. Her teachers are very welcoming and doing a wonderful job. The management is great and taking care of all the needs for the children. I would definitely recommend this daycare having the excellent philosophy of left brain, right brain and movement. The Fueling Brains Academy McKnight location is absolutely amazing and has exceeded our expectations thus far! Being new parents there was lots of anxiety about bringing our one year old to daycare for the first time, but the staff and teachers at this campus have made it so comfortable for all of us. The open communication has been so important to us and they have been on top of it, all the intention behind the programming and activities it is greatly appreciated. We honestly don't know how they do it all, but we couldn't be more thankful. Thank you fueling brains Mcknight staff!

Best preschool, my daughter became so disciplined and expressive after joining Kids U. Teachers and staff are so friendly and adaptable. My daughter started when she was 2 years old, didnt understand English but in just 6 months she was so comfortable and made so many friends. In these COVID times when kids are so shy, such preschools are actually need of the hour. Thank you.

We started at the infant care program recently and really love it so far. My baby is very happy and energetic after coming home each day which assured me he had a lot of fun here. I love the daily reports and how teachers manage to update in a prompt manner. All in all, I love this campus and all staff are very supportive. I’m thrilled to see how happy my baby is every day, not to mention he learns many things as well.

My son has been going to this facility since this past April where he started out at the junior program and then transitioned to the senior preschool over the summer. I highly recommend this great facility for whether you are looking for daycare, preschool whether part time or full time. We have had and continue to have an amazing experience here. I myself have toured many preschools and daycares prior to choosing this one. I came back several times for another tour (which is not usual but I really wanted to feel confident with my choice), and asked a lot of questions which they were very professional and positive in answering. I was as well a worried parent to entrust my child in someone's hands and they handled that very well with understanding. They genuinely care about your kids; I remember they even went out of their way to ask more questions in orientation to really get to know your child. The program coordinator Jessica is super amazing and does an exceptional job at handling the campus, super patient and extremely supportive. She is the sweetest person you will ever meet and really cares about you. I feel like she and the campus want to work with you as a team to help with your child's needs and learning. When I request to have updates on my child or any concerns, they address that and really try to work around with what your needs are. I honestly wish they would have an elementary school because my son would definitely be the first to enroll. One of the biggest expectations I wanted to have from a facility, as I am a minority with a sikh faith background and my son ties a turban was to have exposure to other cultures and for his school to be supportive of how we practice our religion. They have been supportive, kind and even keen to learn more so that they could understand our way of life more. They make you feel welcome, regardless of who you are. There is a good culture diversity, children and teachers as well. For my son, he has grown so well ever since he started here. I've seen a difference in every aspect of him, in terms of social, emotion, physical and academic development. My youngest one will for sure be enrolling here when the time comes. I think Jessica and the campus handled the pandemic really well and I could not been any more satisfied with everything.

I had an awful experience about their financial system. They were supposed to do a refund. It is already 3 months and I'm still waiting for the the refund.

Our children have been attending KidsU Mcknight for the past four and a half years and have been through the infants, junior pre-school and preschool programs. Their excitement to go to school each day and the smiles on their faces at pick-up is a true testament to the quality programing and teachers at this campus! Would definitely recommend.

Wonderful people! After spending pre-school and kindergarten at Kids U McKnight, some years later our 8 year old returned for several weeks of themed summer programming. He absolutely loved it. We look forward to doing the same next year because we know our child will be safe, fed, engaged, learning, and physically active. Kudos to the whole team.

I was really impressed with the walk through and had high hopes of sending my Son there, however, I'm not prepared to send my baby outside in -20C weather.

Kids u McKnight is an awesome place to work. Staff working together, supporting each other. As a lead in Jr lb is an excellent opportunity building my confidence in providing a safe and nurturing environment.

I used to work as an ECE Assistant at the West 85th location, however, I would like to share with you how great of a place Kids U is across 8 campuses - Kids U has been an amazing place to work at. As someone with minimal experience in the field, Kids U provided me with the opportunities to strengthen my skills and expand my knowledge. The teachers and staff were supportive, understanding and willing to take time out to teach/train. They come from various backgrounds with strong education and experiences which only enhance the kids experiences in the classrooms. The curriculum is well structured and you can really see the growth in the kids during their developmental years. The kids have various experiences both in and out of school and are well-prepared upon graduating from Kids U. I highly recommend sending your kids to Kids U!

Kids U McKnight is an awesome place to work. I have been working here for three years, started as a practicum student and turn to a co-lead teacher. This place is like home for all the teachers, children and their families. All of the teachers are kindly and knowledgeable. Highly Recommend!

We are super happy and satisfied with all the care and love that our son receives at Kids U. He is turning into more confident and an extrovert child. The learnings that he draws from Montessori and Reggio inspired curriculums is really commendable. He also adores the gymnastic sessions! A big thumbs up to you Kids U!

Kids U is an amazing facility for teachers as well as children. I started with them as a practicum student and was hired as a assistant teacher at Bridgeland, where I loved working with infants. I was given the opportunity to grow and was offered to be a Lead at McKnight, accepting that offer I became the part of McKnight Family, where I love working with the all the families and staff who is cooperative and helpful at all odd and even times. Walking in the morning for the smiles of children here make my every day successful.

Kids U McKnight Campus runs an exceptional program for infants, toddlers and kindergartners. I am a very satisfied father of a bright girl who got her entire early development and education at this campus. Now she is in elementary school and I sincerely appreciate the hard work of her Junior preschool and preschool teachers who set her up for success!

My niece goes here, and she raves about how much she loves and learns at school. She told me she knows how to do math (she's 4 I was very impressed), she learned about planets and transportation. For a child to be this excited to go to school just shows how amazing the staff, teachers and programs are.

My Son has grown so much since starting KidsU McKnight a year ago. The Junior program and teachers are fantastic!

This is a great preschool and daycare facility that a good friend of mine has introduced to me. I highly recommend this place for all parents who needs a daycare facility. I have looked at day home and such but i needed security that my children would be well taken care of. This place is in a commercial environment and a lot of teachers to student ratio.so PERFECT.

KidsU Mcknight is a phenomenal school! I have recommended the jr preschool program to so many of my friends with young kids. The teachers and support staff are incredible and patient with all the children and make transitioning very very easy. I look forward to the next 2 years with KidsU.

My name is Kiran Sood and I work as a clinical instructor at University of Calgary Faculty of Nursing.
This winter, I got a golden chance to bring term 4 nursing students to U McKnight Day Care. I am so amazed to see the curriculum here for different age stages from infants to preschool children and me and my students are actually learning so much from the teachers and kids.
We were welcomed very warmly by the Supervisor and all the teachers. We were accommodated so well that we felt like it’s our own work place.
I was very impressed to see the way kids are spending their day here by starting with a healthy breakfast, play activities which help their left and right brain development by introducing and letting them do all basic and important skills. And then they go for outdoor play. It made me feel very fascinated to see them bundling up with their own snow jackets, mittens and snow shoes at this early age and then approaching to play areas by following teachers directions.
The kids are learning wonderful skills like Stabilising and Balancing, social skills and manners, object manipulation, mathematics and general knowledge and much more than that.
The staff is very capable and talented and they are very kind and compassionate to children. They are very focused to kids personal needs for example their health and allergies plus their limitations and they are providing kids focused care. The staff has special skills required for special children which is so amazing.
The lunch is served full with love and care and the small kids know how to clean up afterwards.
They enjoy story time and then they deserve a good nap.
I am very thankful on behalf of University of Calgary and looking forward to bring more students next term in spring.

The Center is so fantastic. My daughter loves to go to school everyday. The staffs are caring and very friendly.

It is our daughters first year and she is only 14 months. She already loves it and is looking forward to go in the morning. She is very grumpy if we wake her up, but when we tell her she is going to KidsU she is calms down and "helps" mommy and daddy get dressed. We love it there!

This place is fantastic. We originally had our daughter enrolled at Kids U Bridgeland and adored it there, and her transition to Centennial was seamless. The teachers at Centennial are caring and thoughtful, and always have our daughters best interest at heart. The menu is varied and healthy, and the facility is gorgeous and very well kept. I see regular updates on Brightwheel (one of my favorite perks of Kids U) as well as photos, so I know what she's doing each day. They always have great activities for the children, and the socializing is fantastic. It is always such a pleasure to drop our daughter off and watch her run into her classroom each morning, excited for what the day will bring. Unfortunately, we have to swap her to a new daycare closer to home as I am going on mat leave with our second baby. Daycare costs are not exactly low, and while I know that Kids U is worth every single penny (trust me, they really are), it unfortunately is not an option for us to have both children at Kids U once the second arrives (I really wish it was, but I can only guess what it takes to run a daycare as well as this one). This place will always have special place in my heart, and I'm terribly sad to have to say our goodbyes.

My experience with Kids U Mcknight has been nothing but the best. They're so invested in each child making sure they feel the best they can when they're in Kids U care. From the programming offered, to the meals planned, there is so much thought and care put into every little detail. This is a big deal for me. I want the best for my kids. I'm so happy that my children go here and cannot recommend this place enough. Thanks Kids U for everything!

My daughter was very happy in the Kids U environment. I appreciated how they engaged parents and families in communications and activities. They really try to establish a community. I also love and value how inclusive the program is. Diversity is embraced and celebrated, which is so important! Also, the elective Spanish class was PHENOMENAL. My daughter has learned tons and the art projects they have done in that class are such a great support to the curriculum!

This early learning centre has been the best choice I’ve made for my children! The staff are so friendly and welcoming, it really is a great community to be apart of. The programming is amazing, the curriculum and environment has made my children comfortable from day 1

Our daughter loves seeing her friends and favourite teachers, and we are so pleased with the level of care, attention, planning, and variety that goes into each day she is there. We are so grateful to have found Kids U McKnight for our childcare needs.

KIDSU McKnight is an outstanding facility. My daughter was one of the first students at the location and finished all the way up to kindergarten. All of the staff and teachers are amazing, they really care about the children and strive to provide the best care and programming. They learn so much. There are daily updates via an app and a monthly newsletter as well as various events such as Christmas concerts, mothers/fathers day celebrations and many others. I believe KIDSU is very unique in its programming in that there is focus on left brain, right brain and movement. They also provide wonderful healthy food. Can't recommend KIDSU enough!

We had an amazing experience at the junior preschool program. The teachers and administrators were very helpful with my son's needs. After attending preschool we noticed an improvement in my son's verbal and social skills.

I was amazed with the programs being offered (left brain, right brain and movement), which really train kids to be aware of the different transition not only in the classroom but they’ll be able to use it socially as they are growing up.

We love everyone at Kids U. They are so kind and caring. The kids days are packed full of activities AND peace time (my son regularly requests “peace time” at home). They learn so much and the food is always a hit. The ratios are good and all the teachers are very involved. They know them so well, their personalities and challenges and love sharing the successes. We’ve also had challenges where we can bring their strategies home. Listening ears has done wonders at our house. Can’t say enough good things about all the loving people that take care of us there. We highly recommend Kids U.

Of many daycares and places I have visited. I found that Kids U was more interested in teaching my childrens then just giving them a place to play. I was pleased to choose Kids U because they actually took the time to train my children. I have met many of the teachers and all in all. They have the same value I would of chose for a daycare. Many teachers are parents like myself and have children attending Kids U as well.
