Customer service really sucks there, sure you may be having a bad day! But this is not the first time being served by a rude employee! Its your job to work with the public! You dont like your job then move on! Been in that store 3 times and rude/poor service each time. Will be the last time in that store!

This is one of the best thrift stores I've visited. The selection is huge, and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

I brought in my mint condition Sony Sports Walkman, fully refurbished with new belts and the original headphones, and the guy only offered me $20 for it.
Everything is overpriced as well.

Very good customer service. Good place to pwn and phone calls they will hold items. Good guys work here!

Good place to buy movies or CDs. They have a great selection of media and video games.

Not a great place to sell items, you don't get much money.

Staff are extremely helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. They are happy to check any piece of jewelry even just to give you some knowledge on the compositions and or base metals without having to pay, pawn, or sell. Full of all sorts of fun odds and ends definitely worth even just checking out!

The staff are pleasant, accommodating, informed, and very helpful. They take the time to education and answer any questions. Their product is backed with a guarantee I've never had a problem with staff or their products. The prices are fair. It's also Great they offer an optional generous credit on account when selling items. Very easy to do business with. If I could give them 10 stars I would!

I've bought a few items from King of Trade over the years and I've always been impressed.

Recently bought a used Nvidia Shield 2019 edition at a great price and the product works flawlessly.

Can definitely find gems here.

Absolutely amazing customer service! I went in and bought 2 Wii consoles, a couple controllers and some games. I moved to Grande Prairie and hadn't tried the games out yet. When I did, unfortunately one of the games wasn't working. The manager Adam was so helpful. He got my information and sent me another copy of the game, along with 2 more games and some goodies for the trouble.

Also, the gentleman, who I unfortunately cannot remember his name, who assisted me on the sales floor, was so kind and helpful. Due to buying 2 consoles and all, he threw in a free games and took the taxes off.

Definitely the best service I have ever received!

Well went down there today in alot of hot water with the wife needed a tv quick well Adam and Tristen made that all possible. T.v. Works awsome great picture, surround sound works awsome and I can hook my computer up to it. Thank you so much guys. You will always have my business all you guys are awsome!

King of scam is a horrible place. They offer next to nothing when you sell to them and then jack the prices up 10× when they put your item (s) on shelf. They lowball so hard and then resell for so much that it's actually insulting. Every single item they sell is overpriced by so much. Also more than half of their items are in bad shape or simply not working. Bad return policy too. Management doesn't care one bit about customers. Employees are standoffish. Sketchy environment. Definitely do not recommend.

Staff is friendly. However, I purchased a VHS tape from this store and when I opened the case at home, I found a used bloody bandage stuck to the VHS tape.

Have bought many things here over the years. Staff has always been helpful and pleasant.

A lot of the complaints on here seem to be sour people that agreed to a trade that they didn't like. Don't do that. They are a pawn shop that needs to make money. Don't agree to trades you don't like.

Others seem to be people that felt the prices were too high. See above.

Overall this place is fine and you can even find some nice deals every once in a while. Recommended.

I've bought many products at King of Trade from guitars, to amplifiers, recording equipment, camera gear, you name it. Everything is always clean as if buying brand new, and never had a single problem once I took it home!
The staff are also friendly like you wouldn't believe!
King of Trade is honestly a gem in downtown Lethbridge.

I've been coming here since I've been young, and been pleased every time I leave. Props to Bernard for checking the back of the store for guitar hero controllers, and was very good to deal with. Cashier was pretty rad too but I can't remember his name.

These guys are crooks. I brought in a brand new milwaukee impact driver and sawzall with both m18 fuel batteries and the guy said he'd give me 20 bucks for the set. Literally never been used. I couldn't believe it. Don't waste your time here, it's not worth it. Sell your stuff on kijiji, don't give your stuff to these complete crooks.

Well first off all, when I first started dealing with "king of con's" I brought in a brand new still in the box top notch peavey practice guitar amp and a really nice Ltd thrash style guitar. Well first the guy has the gall to offer me 30 buck's for that brand new new amp and then proceeds to tell me he could only give me 30 dollers for the Ltd"because it wasn't a esp" they're the same company! And I know what that guitar was worth but I just moved in to a new place and needed some grub in the cupboards. So I said screw it give me the cash and I'll be here at the end of the month to pick up my stuff. So I go in at the end of the month and what's this? My stuff is already out on display being sold.
The amp that the guy gave me 30 buck's for, they were selling for 120.
And the cherry on top was the Ltd guitar I brought in, they were selling it for over 400 bucks! And of course there was no one to help me get my stuff back because"king of con's" only worry about number 1. And just last week I pay 5 dollars for a portable charger, it didn't work so I go to return it because they had another one there just like it. So I figured I could just swap it out. And get this, not only did i have the receipt, the guy that I bought the first charger off of the day before was the same guy serving me when I went to exchange chargers. And because I said something about he's the guy who sold me the original one in the first place, it should be no problem just to swap them out. But no, he makes up some shady exuse about my receipt not being readable (when if he had of took the time to unfold the thing, he would see it in fact was the receipt for the original charger.) and because he was to miserable to swap a 5 dollar charger out for the exact same one. I left there with a item that didn't work, and a very ignorant employee. So needless to say I will not be shopping there any more.

My partner and I loved King Of Trade and were frequent customers and sellers but after our last visit, I'm honestly not sure that we'll return.
We brought in a few things to sell:
- multiple video games and movies
- Fallout 4 Pipboy
- a special edition The Legend of Zelda Wii U console and all of its accessories
- multiple Wii controllers
and we got only $90 for everything total. Thinking back, it was insulting and we both very much so regret agreeing to the sale. The guy who did the sale also didn't offer a receipt or any proof of sale to us.

I changed my rating from 2 stars to 1. King Of Trade requested we call them so we did and the person we were told to request had already left but whatever, no big deal. We were told that he'd be in the next day and then our number was taken and we were told that we'd receive a call. That was 2 weeks ago and we recieved 0 phone calls. Don't try and make things better if you can't even follow through, please. We will not be returning.

Did nothing to help someone out that had a pure collectible at a very fair price. Avoid this penny pincher.

Been buying stuff here for 10yrs!
Took 500+ movies/tv series in to sell.
They offered us 10¢ a dvd. Yet were selling a couple of the series same as we brought in for $80ea. Every movie was in its case and no damage. I wish we had looked around first! Prices are not good for buying/selling
