I attended this hall as a youth and eventually left. The people were always friendly, though many of the organizational teachings are controlling in nature, similar to a cult.
I encourage you to review the BITE Model (Behaviour, Information, Thought and Emotional Control) and decide for yourself regarding if this is a controlling organization.
