Dr. Iyad and his dental assistant Gayatri payed extra attention and time to my case to ensure the job was done right. Dr. Iyad tripled checked everything every step of the way, he did not rush my treatment at all which I really appreciated considering the sensitivity of my case (root canal re treatment). Truly appreciate the service that was provided!

I had a dental emergency a couple of days before we were to go away on a week's vacation. I am not a patient comfortable with dental check-ups, let alone major work. I knew that there was going to be something relatively big. Not only was I able to get in to see a dentist on the day I reached out, I was able to get in to see the dentist on a schedule that worked for me that day. Upon my arrival, the stay was friendly and welcoming. They took both benefits for this appointment, which was a first. They also ensured I was well aware of any cost that would be due before any work was done. I was shocked that walking out after my appt, there would be no bill. Once I got to see the dentist, he informed me I had not 1 but 2 teeth that required -extraction or root canal. Either option could have been better, but I opted for the two root canals. While it wasn't sunshine and lollipops, it was much more pleasant than I anticipated. He was extraordinarily gentle, and when I jumped at one point, he apologized and applied more freezing to ensure my comfort. It was also completed much quicker than I expected. Upon finishing, they adjusted the bill to reflect what was used, lessening the overall bill. I had such a pleasant experience I booked for a cleaning the next day. The dentist saw me and stopped to check in on me even though he appeared to be busy. I would highly recommend this dentist and the rest of the office. Thank you for being a part of a beautiful holiday. Without your help, I would not have had the getaway I needed.

I live in Calgary now, but will continue make trips back to Edmonton for my dentist appointments!

I went to this business for cleaning and dental check up 2 years ago. I was told that I had cavities that should be filled and needed a root canal surgery on my front tooth (22). I had no issues or pain on that tooth.

The cavities were filled but these teeth became sensitive, I complained 3 or more times, all I observed the dentist do was grinding something (teeth or filling, I can't say). On my last visit I shed tears in pain during the grinding. The sensitivity is gradually resolving but may flare up if I drink cold water, eat anything cold, or eat 1 or more apples.

The root canal surgery was done by the dentist too, I was told I should have no issues for around 8 to 10 years with the surgery, but about 2 years down the line a sizeable infection developed in the same root. The general opinion was that the infection got into the root from the seal of the root. The staff of the two dental offices (regular, and specialist) I visited all asked the same question. They ask when, where, and who did the root canal surgery. The specialist said the crown itself looks good. I agree too, the crown is a beautiful work; the crown was made elsewhere.

Even with 2 insurance, I paid a few hundred dollars and lost 3 days of income, since I stayed at home while the area of the surgery healed.

Based on my experience, I will not recommend this business.

They took me as a last minute urgent appointment on a fully booked day. Everyone was so professional, friendly, and kind *with me being such a nervous patient). By the end of the day, they had done a check-up, xrays, cleaning, and filling. Pain is gone and now I'm ready for the rest of the Christmas holiday. I'll recommend them every chance I get.

After requiring quite a bit of dental work this year, I started to develop anxiety about going to my regular dentist. So I changed dentists and went to the Kingsway Dental Center and Dr Al Qishawi. After being extremely anxious at my first appointment, all my appointments were booked with extra time so that I could have detailed explanations and have the opportunity to ask all the questions I needed in order to feel comfortable with the treatment plan. It made a huge difference! While I still don't love going to the dentist (who does?) I have been blown away by the kindness and compassion shown by both the staff and dentist during my many visits. My teeth also look and feel great!

Tl;dr: 5/5, Would recommend.

Dr. Iyad has been our family dentist for 10 years, we even followed him to this office when he moved from his previous one. He is very skilled at his job- procedures are simply explained and he always addresses all my questions and concerns. I remember being anxious for my wisdom teeth extractions however Dr. Iyad explained everything very well for me he also checked in throughout the process and before I knew it the extractions were done way faster than I anticipated and the recovery after was easy. When anyone asks for a dental recommendation I do not hesitate to recommend Dr. Iyad and his team:)

I had an Appointment with my Hygienist Mercedes and it was like none other. She was patient, gentle, and caring. My teeth and gums are fairly bad and I felt absolutely no judgment. She took her time explaining everything so that I could understand. Because of this, she made me feel comfortable enough to ask Every question I had on my mind and not feel. Stupid.when Mercedes suggested I receive my cleaning more often, I didn't have to think twice to ask that it be with her.

I had an emergency root canal and they accommodated me same day. The procedure itself was painless. The staff are amazing. 10/10

I have had some horror show dental experiences in my life. I was so pleasantly surprised that the visit to Kingsway Dental Center was very easy and the care put into the treatment was exceptional. I had to get emergency surgery and the accommodated me as quickly as possible and got the job done quickly and extremely well. I am very, very impressed. I recommend Kingsway Dental to anyone who is afraid or not very fond of Dentists. These guys will change your mind.

I’m quite afraid of the dentist, have had really bad experiences in the past. Dr. Lyad and Emily were great. They understood me really well and helped me with everything that needed to be done… Basma works up front desk once she understood me really well and explained only what I wanted to know. Went for cleaning & hygienist said that some tools have not been sanitized yet so I was not able to receive the full services. Upsetting because they should have everything prepared for every patient. Next visit was for a filling I got months ago that still hurts. During the process of the filling I could tell how harsh the dentist was treating my teeth confirming that he didn't do a good job. Also this clinic puts up QR codes asking patients to submit reviews on here for a $5 gift card which incentivizes for positive 5-star reviews which some don't describe their experience at all. I find that the rating is inaccurate due to this issue. Just hope they can improve.

Best dental place in Edmonton. Dr Iyad is an amazing person and an excellent dentist. I have been seeing him since 2008 originally in spruce.

Had all 4 wisdom teeth taken out here, a couple of the freezing injections were a bit painful, but the extractions weren't at all and it was all done in under 40 minutes. I was well informed about care instructions as well. Highly recommend.

This place has restored my faith in dentistry as a whole. I was in active addiction for a long time but I am in recovery now and I need a lot of dental work done. I had an exterme fear that they were just going to want to pull all my teeth and be done with it. But they have taken the time to restore all my teeth and are willing to give me a plate for the one tooth missing. Every procedure and been extremely comfortable and not painful, they have done everything to make me feel comfortable. Not only are the helping me get my smile back but helping me in a journey to get my self-esteem and confidence back which was lost a while ago. They are amazing kind people who geniunely care about their patients and their care and not just out to make a buck which is so hard to find these days. 10/10 ️. I'm an extremely apprehensive patient due to past experience. The whole staff me feel really good. I needed a wisdom tooth extracted and the doctor did that within 5 minutes. Very good experience

The service gets slower each time I come and the staff get more rude but I usually get what I need to get done here so thats good.

The worse customer service ever. The dentist himself is very rude and has a bad attitude. Had to visit him for the same filling twice but didn't work at all. I had to elsewhere and regret spending lots of money for nothing.

This is the best Dental Centre I've ever expienced.it all started with an emergency surgery on a couple of teeth, which I've never been fond of dentists but this place changed my whole outlook on coming to get my teeth done they are all amazingly friendly and sympathetic to your needs but after the freezing wore off there was absolutely no pain I didn't need any pain meds what so ever after the surgery and that's what prompt me to get all my teeth pulled without hesitation to get dentures.so to all people who are wondering where to go I highly recommend this place.thanks to the staff and dentists for making my visits enjoyable.

Got my root canal done here, they did an exception job. Very pleased with the turn out. They also have done my teeth cleanings. Would highly recommend. The staff is very friendly& the dentist doctor is very professional.

I went to Kingsway in an emergency dental issue. They were kind caring and understanding. They were the only dentist who would help me in an emergency from Edmonton to Redeer! I was very impressed with the level of hospitality, care, attention and service I received at Kingsway Dental - from the receptionists, the hygienists to the doctor himself, compared to the service I got at dentists' offices in St. Albert in the past two years. Everything that was done in those two years had to be redone and I entrusted Dr. Iyad with this task. I rate this office a 10+. I highly recommend this Dental Centre! I've recently needed more than regular cleanings, and Dr. Iyad Al-Qishawi is fantastic. Very qualified, calm and efficient; I'm not left waiting and he is very deft with freezing and extractions. Practically painless!

The dentist was very busy at that time so it took me a little bit long to wait till my turn, but it isn't his fault, he must be a good dentist so that many people comes for his treatment, I understood that. My treatment here is quick and easy. Overall, it's a nice and comfortable feeling when I'm here for my root canal.

I am very thankful such an individual is practising in dental. Dr Iyad is an amazing human and a dentist. I had a swollen face for 2 days and no other dentist would see me because I had no money to pay for the emergency exam (67 dollars) I walked into Kingsway dental center and immediately the front desk receptionist noticed my face. I was asked to fill in the covid form and the emergency papers and no one even asked me " how are you planning to pay for this ", like all other clinics in the mall or on the phone.are you ok? Do you need anything?

yes, believe it of not: all 6 clinics which I had called prior, refused to even see me for a painkiller or a prescription. I had dental insurance, but I lost my job a year ago.
I guess covid helps humans discover the true ethical side of each other.
Dr Iyad was told by staff I don't have money and no way to pay, his reply "let me see first if we need to help "
he took a an xray that goes around and decided that tooth was "too far gone"
he showed me the size of the infection in my jaw, which teeth are involved
then he said
our only dental option at this point is to take it out.
Dr Iyad explained to me that freezing my not "kick in fully due to the sever infection and that the biology may require us to refreeze or even bring you back"" when the swelling is down. I started crying because i thought he is trying to get rid of me like all the other dentists.
Dr Iyad said " don't worry i will try my best and i will get you out of pain "
He froze me instantly (but part of my lower eyelid was also frozen), pain was gone immediately
he took out the tooth in one pull, i did not feel a thing, no pain, did not even know when the tooth was out.
Then they sent me to the royal Alex for IV antibiotics. GOD Bless this man and all his family and staff

I have seen a regular patient of kingsway dental center for so many years. I am now seeing Dr. Al-Qishawi who is an amazing dentist. He listens to all of my concerns. He did my fillings and they feel great. He takes it slowly with his patients. Not for once I felt like being pushed to do anything. Every step was explained very clear by the dentist and the receptionists. All the staff are friendly and helpful.

My mother in-law is visiting from Germany for Christmas and one of her front crowns fell out. I brought her into Kingsway Dental (at 9: 00 on a Sunday no less) and the entire staff was so friendly and helpful. If I could give six stars, I would!

Heard from another patient there it was new management but still So glad to see familiar and new faces. Saw Dr Alqishawi and had the pleasure of speaking to a new dentist as well. Very experienced and skilled dentists to say the least. Will definitely be referring family and friends. Glad I gave this place another chance, the receptionists and management show enthusiasm and productivity in insuring all goes smooth and I am well informed of insurance, cost treatment etc.the dentist did his part wonderfully too, and made sure I knew what kind of treatment I needed and took the time the old owner never would to explain and ask if I had any questions. Every filling I was given fell apart in my mouth and I have to have new fillings put in replace of the ones the dentist did here. I felt as though the dentist here liked the 'idea' of what he was doing as opposed to actually being competent in his work. As a result I have to pay more and be in pain until I can save up enouh money to fix the problems he has caused. In one word, my experience can be described as Iatrogenic.
Dont come here if you want your teeth to be done right. Come here if you want your dentist to act 'confident' but mess up your teeth as a result.

The dentist who did such a terrible job is Dr. Al Qishawi. Avoid him if you can
